A purely atmospheric experience, Season: a letter to the future is a little candy, a poem about the passing years and their memories which, strangely, transports you completely out of time. A road trip by bike made of absolutely charming encounters that enjoys excellent sound work. A must-do for lovers of short narrative experiences in which you can easily let yourself be transported.

Highly contemplative, utterly eccentric and absolutely magnificent, The Artful Escape offers a visual and sound experience that is as puzzling as it is thrilling. But the beauty of the abstract can reach its limits when the nonsense ends up losing us. And the journey sometimes runs out of steam when the gameplay remains on its way. However, the journey remains relatively captivating up and down, both for its beauty and its uniqueness. But there is no doubt that it will be divisive.

Cronos: The New Dawn isn't the masterpiece it was hoped for, but it's a crucial milestone in Bloober Team's evolution. At times frenzied, often distressing, it embodies the sincere desire of a studio determined to overcome its mistakes and forge a true identity, even if its homages remain too obvious. A demanding, slow, and heavy survival horror, it doesn't seek to seduce but to oppress. An experience that is especially striking for its mastery of the codes of a genre that its creators now know like the back of their hand.

As is often the case with the F1 license stamped by EA and Codemasters, the installments follow one another but are not really similar in content. Because this year, Breaking Point is back and the next F1 film are highlighted to revive the story-driven interest of the saga. Good one-off contributions, even if for the long term, we will rather remember the Career mode which goes a little further than previous years. Even if it does not really renew its gameplay and its graphics, F1 25 remains solid for an official simulation and accessible for neophytes.

If F.I.S.T. : Forged In Shadow Torch offers a relatively slow first part, thereafter, the Metroidvania is full of ideas and continues to renew itself. Its gameplay, at the beginning screwed to the ground, constantly gains in depth and becomes more and more aerial, and its universe, alive and coherent, offers varied and inspired landscapes. Between a jazz club, a remote village in snow-capped mountains and the streets of a retro-futuristic dieselpunk town, the title of TiGames is a constant invitation to travel. In other words, we warmly recommend F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch which presents itself as the little surprise of this new school year.

While the latest titles in the PGA Tour license left us a little hungry, 2K21 being too classic and 2K23 not very ergonomic, PGA Tour 2K25 manages to enchant with its Career mode. The latter is very complete, leaving an exhilarating feeling of progression throughout the season with marketing choices, calendar, equipment and skill points finally completed. The most discerning will say that NBA 2K lacks an open world, but it is clear that there has been progress this year also in online games. The fully customizable gameplay is still as precise in approaches or putts. Enough to live a great experience for any fan of golf or the saga.

Like the other episodes before it, Football Manager 2023 has the daunting task of convincing series regulars to checkout and attract newcomers. A successful bet, for a title that is still just as complete, precise and addictive once a game has started... Without bringing any major revolution in terms of playability, this new component, in addition to playing it safe with the same winning recipe, poses when even new solid bases, with the arrival of a strong and iconic license like the Champions League and an interesting management of the supporters, until then a little left on the side. By offering this formula of two games in one, SEGA offers a great locomotive for the third film which will be released next December. True to itself, the excellent Sonic Generations has lost none of its brilliance, even if the new features are too light to be sufficiently striking in the minds. What Chao to find in the levels, rare new bonuses... we could have expected much more from a remaster. Fortunately, the part dedicated to Shadow is intended to be more ambitious, with a mini open world to explore and powers that boost the experience for several additional hours of play. Without being revolutionary, Sonic x Shadow Generations is a very good game, but which will, inevitably, have more impact on those who have never touched the original.

With its endearing characters and effective humor, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the pleasant surprises of the end of the year, which is obviously aimed at a very large audience. Behind this careful writing, we feel a deep love on the part of the developers of Eidos Montreal for its marginalized space. And if the adventure is not as epic as we hoped, the journey is nonetheless pleasant with its moments of complicity and the many choices offered which reinforce the player's involvement. A truly attractive journey, in particular thanks to an efficient and fluid combat system which nevertheless shows its limits at the end of the game and against the bosses. Finally, it is more on its visual part that the title can divide. If we find on the one hand original environments and neat character models, we also note the presence of less convincing facial animations in places and sometimes less fine landscapes. It is nonetheless a gripping adventure alongside the galaxy's greatest magnificent losers that has plenty to please MCU fans.

Saber Interactive and Focus Home Entertainment hit hard, very hard. Space Marine 2 is a little gem of an adaptation intended for fans of the Warhammer 40,000 saga and fans of unbridled video game action. This science fiction universe is enhanced by polished and captivating visuals as well as impressive gameplay in both its precision and brutality. And the best is yet to come. The PvE and PvP modes guarantee an exemplary lifespan, as does the customization of the Space Marines, which is a model of its kind. Space Marine 2 could have been perfect without this feeling of repetitiveness that sets in after several hours of play, but which gives way to fun in the company of other players.

Undoubtedly the best opus of the license released to date. In addition to the already gargantuan lifespan, further improved in solo and multiplayer thanks to a My NBA mode boosted by the choice of 4 eras, the return of the Jordan Challenge, the co-op mode in My Team and the Career Theater, the gameplay in will delight some. The former crazy dribblers are now limited online and must think collectively, the shooting timing is more demanding, but much fairer and a lot of new animations come to shake up the regulars. Graphically impeccable, taking in immersion with old-school skins for period matches, the title enters the Hall of Fame. Only gray areas, the usual desire (or even need) to take out the credit card to get more VC and advance your player, a matchmaking that is still quite unbalanced and some crashes on certain career quests. The customization possibilities will be multiplied (three characters with double archetypes, it's starting to do things!) And the exploration is made less bland since everyone trains from one place to another. The boss fights are all the more interesting to maneuver without being more complex. Otherwise, Remnant 2 remains quite linear and complex to appreciate, especially since some problems not corrected for the first episode are back. Something difficult to digest four years later. With The Island and an interesting open world, WWE 2K25 aims to revive its family tree. It's a milestone, but with significant room for improvement for this ambitious mode. Despite its richness, the latter lacks a map, shaky matchmaking, and a near-essential need for VC (virtual currency) to be competitive online. It's a first step toward the heights already reached in terms of lifespan: the game modes and customization options are still gargantuan enough to impress newcomers. A good omen for the future of the violent saga.

Yes, because of its lower definition, It’s About Time exhibits sluggish panoramas. Nothing too intrusive for overall readability, except perhaps for times when the character is sliding from one rail to another at full speed, but the downgrade should be noted.

While we may regret the screaming artistic direction and the game modes that lack craziness, we cannot deny that the core gameplay of Knockout City is really fun and well thought out. By putting aim aside in favor of feints and co-op, the title from Velan Games offers an exhilarating experience with real personality. Everything loses in clarity once in close combat, of course, but does not spoil the experience for all that. Knockout City is a highly recommendable experience.

As a pretext for a trip to the worlds of Disney, it is mesmerizing from start to finish, thanks to an exemplary artistic direction that adapts constantly to the subject. It offers a surprising variety of gameplay and constantly draws the eye, thanks to its dynamic fights. However, the redundancy of the confrontations and its ultra condensed scenario which is lost in uninvited dialogues will sometimes tend to annoy or tire.

It would be a lie to say that The Sims 4: Werewolves revolutionizes the gaming experience, but for a simple game pack it is surprisingly interesting. On many points, it is of course reminiscent of The Sims 4: Vampires and even offers more individual and group mechanics. As such, The Sims 4: Werewolves is not just another pack, but a good addition that will allow you to explore many new branches and customize your Sims and their stories even more. If there were not a few balancing concerns and global weariness for all kinds of packs, the Sims 4: Wolves-Garous would have won the title of best game pack.

Once upon a time there was a little hero who, wanting to be appreciated by all, arranged himself in the manner of the lords of his time. Charming as a prince, he invented specialties with eloquence, “a mind as sharp as a fist” he promised. But behind his pleasant features, our adventurer had a hard time hiding his limits. “Stop trying to swell up, or you will die” a lady who saw through his game said to him. That day, he understood: if he did not become a new revered ambassador, he would remain this valiant little esteemed page.

Minimal in its gameplay but optimal in the power of its story, Indika illuminates us thanks to the insolence of several of its sequences. Bold in its tone, atypical in its form, the creation of Odd Meter is like a cursed relic: it should not be put into everyone's hands. And that’s his greatest quality! But as everyone knows, the devil hides in the details: its good ideas that are ultimately little exploited, its madness which runs out of steam during the second part and its overly abrupt ending prevent its heroine from being canonized. Despite its flaws, Indika is a third-person adventure game that will captivate you if you agree to sign a pact... with the demon.

If you want a game to warm up your winter, Mario Party Superstars is for you! The compilation, intended to punctuate your family reunions, will seduce you in a snap by bringing back wonderful memories, at least if you have played past episodes. The whole benefits in addition to accessible and fun mini-games and a very successful visual coating. However, let us note all the same that Mario Party Superstars lacks content and shares too much in common with its elder. If you've done The Top 100 recently, you'll be on familiar ground.

With Ghostrunner 2, the One More Level studio is making an action-adventure shift that is not without its challenges. By focusing on larger and not always very precise areas, we lose a little of what made the first part charming... Here, “die and retry” is more often synonymous with frustration, which results in a less addictive experience! The adventure is thus punctuated by attempts (more or less successful) to flesh out the experience - with a few passages that stand out, particularly in the second part. We therefore end up with a pleasant experience, driven by gameplay that is always effective, but which gets lost a little too often.

On the one hand, it is a classic and effective solo adventure but not without its flaws (like the very behind-the-scenes side of exploration), and, on the other, an experience in multiplayer mode which brings together a bit of the best of worlds of JRPG, at the crossroads of a Tales of and a Monster Hunter, and offers a crazy diversity of approaches thanks to the unique gameplay of its heroes.

When you play Lies of P, you often have the feeling of playing a FromSoftware game. Enough to highlight the qualities of the games while exacerbating its faults. They are few in number and minimal but still demonstrate FromSoftware remains a cut above and above all the undisputed master in the field. However, Neowiz and Round8 deliver an excellent copy. We remember the nervous and jovial boss fights, a permanent reflection of one's build as well as the multiple choices of possible customization. Furthermore, this rewriting of the tale of Pinocchio shows easily and in an accessible manner how our choices and our responses can have consequences on the world around us. With Lies of P, Pinocchio is no longer a wooden puppet dreaming of being a young boy since he is clearly in the big leagues.
