Gods Will Fall is steeped in good ideas, but would have gained a lot by taking them further. Equipped with an effective artistic direction, unique bosses and dungeons, and a link mechanic that works, the game manages to make us want to play and replay in order to meet the proposed challenge, and manage to defeat the ten deities present. The proposed experience is therefore pleasant, and the studio really holds something. Sadly, Gods Will Fall constantly seems on restraint, leaving a lingering impression of superficiality and repetitiveness.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite some good ideas and a rather promising narrative, Clid the Snail suffers from a highly repetitive level design and visuals as foggy as they are crippling. Finally if the arsenal and the range of enemies are fairly well found, the execution is too frustrating and leads to a very average experience, perfectible in many aspects.- Jeuxvideo.com

Thanks to the beauty of its graphics and music, Astria Ascending has an undeniable charm. Far from being content to be a beautiful postcard, the title does not forget to offer solid RPG mechanics to offer a tough challenge to fans of the genre. Unfortunately, its overly classic course and ergonomic concerns make the adventure at times laborious, at least to detract from the enjoyment of the player. Nonetheless, it remains a nice title which, behind its flaws, has an atmosphere that will delight those nostalgic for old-fashioned J-RPGs.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite a lack of content, perfectible driving and unsophisticated opponents, Dakar Desert Rally comes to dust off the automotive genre with style. Based on the sumptuous landscapes of Saudi Arabia, Saber Interactive's game displays a remarkable achievement and should delight those looking for a different racing game. If the developers have kept the requirement of Dakar 18 (with co-pilot, compass, roadbook, etc.), it is now possible to try out Sport mode and its arcade approach. Thanks to these additions, Dakar Desert Rally opens up to a wider audience without cutting itself off from purists. With its impression of successful speed, its panoramas and sumptuous effects and its huge map, there is plenty to have fun while waiting for possible extensions. Undoubtedly the automotive surprise of this fall.- Jeuxvideo.com

Less fun than Maison du Style, less educational than Young Stylist, Fashion Dreamer has everything to envy of its predecessors due to far too poor content and ultra-limited fun. If tirelessly offering outfits to NPCs and players without benefiting from any story input or real game objectives is enough for you, the experience may be right for you. For our part, we mainly remember a dressing game without much effort and above all extremely repetitive. In short, clearly one of the worst Nintendo Switch exclusives of the year.- Jeuxvideo.com

Rich and demanding, the clashes are gripping, worthy of frenzied chess games during which each placement must be thought out and calculated. On the other hand, the title is served by its technical shortcomings, a lack of depth in its dialogues, as well as a difficult attachment to the characters. If the teeming universe of Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is a tedious entry for newcomers, it does not become less exciting once mastered. Fans of the Big Bad Wolf studio will probably be delighted by the formula "The Council way World of Darkness"; Mean by that a system of dialogues of choice revisited by the controlled addition of RPG mechanics. Swansong unfolds a story consisting, sometimes too much, led by three protagonists with an impeccable style whose progression remains fairly linear.- Jeuxvideo.com

Everything could have gained more dynamism and appealed to the players a little more by offering various tricks such as slow motion or "killcam", but unfortunately, Lucid Games preferred to keep this type of functionality for the game's Solo mode. Bloodlines 2 has undeniable qualities: its rich world, its political intrigue, its immersive atmosphere, and some vampiric powers offer real moments of pleasure. But the game multiplies good ideas that it executes poorly and, in this sense, is neither a good RPG nor a good action game. It's a mixed experience that, despite solid writing, suffers from rather poor level design, minimal progression, and low-impact choices, tarnishing the full potential of an otherwise promising sequel. Bloodlines 2 gives the impression of a game rushed out, which did not fully exploit what its flamboyant universe had to offer.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite his pleasant artistic direction and his ambition to tell a complex story with multiple ramifications, The Falconeer lacks a little soul during its ten hours of play. The developed lore struggles to include the player because of a lack attachment to the heroes while the uninspiring missions, even generic, plague the desire to progress. Fortunately, his overall successful dogfights as well as his few flashes make this aerial shoot an experience that deserves attention. The work done by its sole developer is obviously remarkable: his love for an endangered genre shines on every feather of the Fantastic Falcon.- Jeuxvideo.com

At the risk of disappointing its detractors, Concord is a very good hero shooter that could very well overshadow the big names in the genre, if a community of players takes it that far. Firewalk's service game is based on solid arguments: great shooting sensations, 16 varied and perfectly oiled heroes, impeccable technique and artistic direction and even attractive tactical perspectives. As it stands, we just regret overly classic game modes as well as a universe that would have deserved a more important place within the experience... Two points that are not set in stone and that will most certainly improve with future updates (all free, there is no season pass or battle pass, let us remind you). A very good choice. Shattered Space will certainly revive Starfield for those who fell for the Premium Edition, but it won't convince others to spend 30 euros to give it another chance. Building on various strengths of the base title, such as the developed lore and captivating missions, the expansion of Bethesda's software turns its back on other of its pillars. This would not have been a problem if Va'ruun'kai, the only new planet in this DLC, had offered something truly different/innovative/surprising... which is not the case. Short on new content, Shattered Space is content with fast-paced faction quests with multiple choices, which unfortunately do not breathe the wind of renewal that we would have liked after a year of waiting. Beyond its surprising concept vis-à-vis its license, Final Fantasy VII: First Soldier is a classic mobile Battle Royale but effective in many aspects. Graphically simple but fluid, playable on the touchscreen as well as on the controller, Square Enix's title takes up different ideas from the competition for a BR experience that is both accessible and complete. Regardless of the outcome, Yang Bing and the teams at UltiZero Games can be proud of the work accomplished, as the design of Lost Soul Aside was so grueling. Unfortunately, the result is insufficient to establish itself in the action game genre. Certainly, the title relies on calibrated and nervous gameplay, and this is where the soul of the project shines the most. Aside from certain artistic aspects (settings, designs, music), Lost Soul Aside struggles to be catchy: the story is too flat, the universe is generic, the characters are forgettable, the structure is redundant, the mechanics are hackneyed or underexploited. It's not a disaster either, but the final copy is barely adequate, to our great regret.- Jeuxvideo.com

Saints Row is not really what we can call a total reboot of the saga, but rather a soft-reboot: it is very similar to Saints Row The Third which, even if appreciated, is nonetheless ten years old. In fact, this is felt and this new adventure is still struggling to impose itself through its technique, its gameplay or its creativity which remain anchored in a certain immobility despite some novelties: it is however a game of effective action that never takes itself seriously, rather funny and with damn generous content, which we can never blame him for. Volition finally delivers Saints Row 3 with far-west sauce, which remains appreciable without breaking three pieces of dough for a gunslinger.- Jeuxvideo.com

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is ultimate in name only. While the title bills itself as the most comprehensive release in the series, that is only true for its impressive cast of over 130 fighters. On the other hand, as for its story mode... between a minimally regressive setting, absent major boss fights and above all an original story that is not very interesting, there is reason to be frankly disappointed. Ultimately, only fans of the franchise determined to play online will find what they are looking for by taking advantage of the generous roster and the gameplay that is still as effective despite the years. For others, we advise you to turn to the first four episodes, which are available on all platforms and often at a low price, to better enjoy the story of Naruto.- Jeuxvideo.com

If it doesn't reinvent the wheel, Payday 3 modernizes its four-player heist formula with accuracy and intelligence, and that's all we ask of it. The eight missions available to date are well done - and make excellent use of the few new mechanics. All in all, the life of a “controller in hand” thug is still just as demanding. It is difficult to objectively rate this Cobra-Kai in an industry where this type of game has completely disappeared from the shelves. The idea of honoring the series in a beat'em up tribute to the 80s was good; unfortunately, the developers did not take advantage of the many generations that followed to bring the wind of freshness and novelty necessary to the quality of the title. We end up with a game that could very well have been released many years ago despite some undeniable qualities that provide a certain playing pleasure. For this result, it is difficult to want to spend forty euros on it. Cobra Kai remains a far from unpleasant vent that might suit fans of the genre or series. Rocksteady Studios promised to kill off DC's greatest heroes and that's what they did...in every sense of the word. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an effective looter shooter, if not surprising, but above all generic which struggles to renew the gaming experience throughout the adventure. Nevertheless, this open-world Action-RPG defends itself in terms of staging, visuals and especially writing with a tone that is both superheroic and humorous. The central “role playing” dimension of this type of video game proposition is not left out and is seduced by a constant rise in power of Task Force of America. Unfortunately, British studios never manage to rise to the level of the masters of the genre (Borderlands 3, Destiny 2 and even Outriders). Rocksteady's suicide mission is neither a failure nor a real success.- Jeuxvideo.com

40 playable characters and a huge fan service isn't enough for a fighting game. The game is technically disappointing with confusing camera management and a screen that often overdoses with visual effects.- Jeuxvideo.com

Without being unpleasant to follow, the escapade in the psychological thriller of Twin Mirror does not manage to engage the player enough in its stakes to be completely unforgettable, even if the amateurs of the genre should still find what they are looking for.- Jeuxvideo.com

If not the ultimate pirate game, Skull and Bones is a good naval battle game that has arguments to make you want to get involved. So no, here, no third-person action phases: the adventure takes place almost exclusively on the waves, and once the element of surprise has passed, the qualities of Ubisoft's service game are revealed. The seven seas of the Indian Ocean are the subject of a solid atmosphere and technique, and the battles on the open sea are a real success. So, you may be struggling to get to the endgame, due to a fairly redundant progression, but believe us, the price is worth it. In short, a good surprise, far from the shipwreck that some saw on the horizon.- Jeuxvideo.com

Godfall is not the first “Next Gen” slap, but turns out to be fun to go, the first few hours at least, before suffering from a repetitiveness which significantly deteriorates the gaming experience.- Jeuxvideo.com

Although a little marked by time, the graphics and sound improvements are successful. The magic of the title still operates as much even after sixteen years, not to mention the multiplatform side making the title more accessible. In short, whether or not you missed the original, this remaster, certainly not flawless, remains an adventure that we invite you to (re) live alone or with someone.- Jeuxvideo.com

Breathedge ultimately remains fairly classic in its survival mechanics and does not succeed in everything it undertakes in this area. It turns out to be rather repetitive and unfortunately quite timid in its call for exploration, a shame, given the beauty and originality of its yet attractive universe. In addition, the game also sins with some unfortunate choices regarding inventory management, the resource collection loop or the durability of equipment, too ephemeral. With a shift in tone at the midpoint, which relegates survival to the closet, the Breathedge experience is not always balanced, despite some real good ideas and a story that follows without displeasure, for a little one. about twenty hours.- Jeuxvideo.com

If Tour de France 2020 looked like a small category 2 pass in the history of the license with its small novelties, Tour de France 2021 would be a false flat descending. The new title from Cyanide is really stingy in novelties, does not change its interface or the graphic aspect of the title of a gut. It even removes the online multiplayer mode and the challenge mode to further impoverish the content, despite the many support races available to the Tour (Critérium du Dauphiné, Paris-Nice, Flandrian classics ...). We will simply retain a slightly clearer MyTour mode and very coherent AI opponents compared to reality. For the rest, Tour de France 2021 is still as accessible for any cycling fan and fun in split screen, but not really worth it compared to last season.- Jeuxvideo.com
