    It's derivative, only has three zones, and doesn't have much to offer besides its combat, but Godfall will be enjoyable to anyone who just wants a well-tuned, good-looking action RPG to slash their way through.

    Godfall currently feels very familiar: it unashamedly borrows the loot system that made Destiny and Borderlands great, attempting to mix it with hardcore Souls-like melee combat. In the first few hours, this makes the game feel a little dull. But the core mechanics feel well built and could act as a stable base for the game’s more interesting character building and co-op dynamics, of which I’ve currently only scratched the surface.     Godfall can be an enjoyable and lovely gear-based action game while it lasts, but the repetition of its missions wears thin before the end of its campaign, and even thinner in the endgame afterward. Its combat is packed full of decisions to make and a healthy mix of familiar and genuinely novel mechanics, but its Valorplate suits aren’t as mechanically diverse as they initially seem on their gorgeous exteriors. With neither an interesting story nor a deep pool of varied content, all the choice Godfall offers doesn’t amount to much more than a bit of brief and shallow fun.

    The combat feels good, but that doesn't stop it from being an aggressively mediocre game that lifted most of its gameplay ideas from better titles. Play those instead.

    A visually stunning game, Godfall suffers from repetitive combat and a lackluster story that is forgettable after the first hour. In an industry with so many Dark Souls-style games, this is not one to spend time on.

    Godfall is an astonishing next-gen tech demo. Which is, honestly, the only positive trait of the game. Apart from that, it just delivers 10 hours of repetitive hack and slash gameplay and a tedious story worth a third grader. [Issue#308]

    2. Combat system is good at early part. But that's what will you play later in the entire game.
    3. I really don't like the graphics and design in this game. Too colorful, the spark effect was used too much, makes me don't know what kind of character am i fighting.
    4. Looting is a complete disaster. How come a looting-based game really this bad at this main aspect? People won't even bother to unlock anything with this horrible design.
    5. The level design is one of the most atrocious part i've ever played.
    6. Where the hell is the match-making? How can you make an online-game only and not have this aspect?

    Even if this game is free, i don't think it will raise the score here. Because the core of the game itself is just really bad.

    Not recommended. Buy something far better like Bloodborne or Demon's Souls.    … Expand

A story so overplayed that made me hate the game even more i was hoping for a twost something to make me go oh my god . It never came .
