    Liberated is an ambitious and fascinating game from a small developer. Everything you see takes place inside a comic book - it's stylish and has a hauntingly probable story. However, uninspired platforming sections may be off-putting, but you should be otherwise very happy with this experiment.

    The game works decently, in terms of mechanics. I can just think of plenty of other games you'd probably rather play more than this one. If you're in the mood for a relatively quick cyberpunk-tinged romp, though, Liberated isn't the worst you could do.

    Liberated’s comic gameplay style works very well and the game provides some good entertainment. However, the story and characters are not as well explored as they could have been. If you like political thrillers, then this could scratch that itch for a few hours.

    Liberated has a unique art style, and does a great job of blending the classic detective noir genre with the tantalizing cyberpunk medium. Unfortunately, the gameplay falls completely flat with a lack of depth and continuity with intriguing mechanics.

    As much as stylized in presentation and as thought-provoking (story-wise) it wants to be, Liberated falls apart due to its clunky gameplay and uninspiring narrative. With superficial characters in a hollow view of real-world problems it is no surprise the game comes through as a nihilistic and cynical approach thematically. There is potential though. The comic-like presentation needs more robust gameplay and a bold narrative that does not try to please everyone.

    В геймплее тоже нет ничего прям уникального, вам надо бегать, стрелять, стелсить, плавать, но реализованы все механики и анимации достаточно плавно и играется приятно.

The story is the main focus of this game and it’s excellent, the visuals on the comics are superb. The gameplay in the other hand is kinda mediocre, it’s mostly shoot for the head 2D game but there is some puzzles here and there which is cool and all. The game is not that long anyway it’s 3-4 hours which is kinda sad not gonna lie. Liberated is a unique game, with its take on story telling via comic book style 2D adventure game is done very well, I just wish they added just a bit more gameplay mechanics and more chapters to play. (Good 3/5) Give It A Try!… Expand

    But I only got a few hours in.
    straight away the controls are really stiff and limited.
    There is a lot of tedious stealth and the camera is fixed with your character in the middle so you can barely see ahead.

    The comic theme is ok but they made the dumb choice to keep the gameplay in a comic panel which makes the screen much smaller for no reason. If you are playing this on switch undocked this is particularly annoying.
    and also had annoying quicktime gameplay during cinematic scenes which are less enjoyable than just watching.    … Expand
