There are about 300 other games that have come out in November that I need to play, but I haven’t loaded up a single one of them since I first launched Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions.

For now, Motorama needs to stay in the garage like the rusty jalopies it so closely resembles.

Although Never Alone began life as a learning tool for the Inupiat youth, the game is definitely entertaining

It offers gameplay which manages to be both novel and infuriating simultaneously. Players who enjoy a more sedate, thoughtful style of play will probably find Miss Take an extremely frustrating experience, but if you can stick with it you'll find something very original indeed.

If you want complex, tactical combat, and a fascinating story told in a unique style, you’ll get a lot from Valkyria Chronicles.

The game is a cute little time killer which starts off as an innocent little game for kids but gets more complex pretty fast, demanding a level of tactical thinking I have yet to experience in a simplistic mobile game such as this.

It takes what the last game did, and makes it better, but at the same time it's because of this that it doesn't break new ground.

It’s a rich experience with an abundance of soul and a unique vision; there’s no need to wait ten years for that glitzy triple-A game to ape its conventions and follow its narrative ambition.

Combined with the great Boss Battles, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is definitely a must-have for Borderlands fans and should be high on the wishlist for everyone else.

In my time with World of Warcraft, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Warlords of Draenor is the best expansion yet to the game.

Majestic Nights is a classic case of a game promising far more than it can deliver.

It doesn't live up to the admittedly high expectations, lacks in presentation and feels more like an expansion than a standalone game. Yet what it does do, is deliver fun by the bucketload.

The Detail isn’t bad, it’s just not as good as the games it’s trying to emulate.

On its original release in 1988, Gold Rush! would’ve been an impressive achievement. By today’s standards, there’s nothing here that would attract someone new to the remake.

When it comes to the fundamental elements that make up a point-and-click adventure, Randal’s Monday gets a lot right, but also makes some disappointing mistakes. Fans of Kevin Smith or of comedy adventures will want to at least give this one a shot, but make sure to have a walkthrough on standby – I assure you, you will need it.

As with any good Roguelike, you're as likely to end up entertained as frustrated. Permadeath is, well, permanent, and if you've just invested an hour into a game when it kicks you out, it hurts. I hate losing progress like that, which is why I usually avoid playing Roguelikes.

Despite the dismal showing of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare shows that it’s not quite time to write off this series yet, and I just may be back next year to see if the improvements continue or if this game turned out to be just a fluke.

Instead of being mysterious and enigmatic, it’s more of a Rubik’s cube: spatial, memory-based, and unfortunately something I didn’t have the patience for.

Legend of Grimrock II is better than the original in every regard: more freedom, better character progression, better enemies, better puzzles and better environmental variety. Those who liked the first one will definitely love the sequel!

There are plenty of missing features that may or may not be coming at a later date, but take it for what it is for the time being – a flawed experience, but one that's hugely rewarding when everything goes just right.

If the team at EA Sports gets the balance right between attack and defence, this game would be near perfect. But as it stands, FIFA 15 feels like a slightly improved version of FIFA 14, a game that itself was near footballing perfection.

There are good games, there are bad games, and there are games that just kind of sit somewhere in the middle, and the latter are perhaps the most forgettable. I don’t regret the time I spent playing Fists of Jesus, but I don’t think it’s an experience that I’m going to remember a few months from now.

Measured against Jagged Alliance 2 – a game with a budget many times that of Flashback – Jagged Alliance: Flashback does a solid face plant. It lacks the depth and personality that made its older sibling the cult hit still played by thousands of gamers to this day.

To sum it up, The Evil Within is fantastic; or rather it would be if the PC version didn’t feel so sloppy.
