Like its predecessors, it brings something unique to the 4X table that goes beyond the sum of its parts.

The controls, once you get used to them, work well and with the huge range of superstars, multitude of game modes and professional presentation of the bouts, WWE 2K15 is a worthy return to PC.

If you absolutely love sliding block puzzles, there’s probably something in Rooms: The Unsolvable Puzzle for you. For the rest of us, there are a few tidbits to tickle our curiosities, but nothing much else to keep us entertained throughout the huge number of levels.

Some might say that Wolfenstein: The Old Blood doesn’t add enough new to the series given the amount of time between it and the base game, but it’s important to remember that this is an expansion, not a sequel.

This is a world full of interesting characters and visuals with some promising gameplay mechanics, but it ends too soon.

For all of the meddling with time Perils of Man focuses on, it feels like time is the one thing it needed more of to really develop itself into another classic adventure game.

Magicka: Wizard Wars definitely struggles a bit with its steep learning curve and some serious bugs that need to be addressed, but the quick, energetic games are largely worth the struggles.

The core concept, while unoriginal, is at least interesting, and it's backed up by a broadly well-realized world. Sadly, the whole thing is scuppered by the absolutely comical AI, which single-handedly removes all tension from the game and transforms it from moody sci-fi horror into disappointing nonsense, frustrating and unintentionally hilarious in equal measures.

From top to tail-pipe, Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 is every bit a fun game, but it doesn't always live up to its predecessor. Much has been improved in terms of added variety in cars, but there are still many areas that feel under-developed and lacking in substance, even in comparison to that earlier title.

The action is engaging and challenging, largely due to massive mobs and a versatile list of enemy types. If you can live with its admittedly minor flaws, this run-and-gun game is worth your time and money.

This is a game that appeals to all gamers, not just fans of rhythm games, but it’s a damn good rhythm game regardless.

Although Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China doesn’t have the same feel to it as recent Assassin’s Creed titles, it does perform well as a platformer.

Lockdown isn’t a bad game, it’s just one that already feels either dated, or incomplete.

It does lack that little bit of polish that would make it a great game, but Primal Carnage: Extinction is still worth your time, especially if you love dinosaurs.

Despite the somewhat slow pace, there are some neat ideas in Convoy and I quite enjoyed my time playing it. Combat is interesting, even if it can become quite formulaic over time, especially when you have to restart the game fairly often.

If you’ve ever wanted to send a wide-eyed Disney princess and her siblings into battle against the forces of darkness, miles above the original home of man, you really should give it a spin.

Those good first impressions eventually fall to the wayside however, as the game abandons plot threads on a dime and fails to create any form of logical progression in its puzzles. Which is a shame, because Dead Synchronicity has good ideas; they just don’t sync today.

Though it should've come out ages ago, and PC gamers have every right to feel like they were put on the backburner, Rockstar North has tried to make sure that Grand Theft Auto V for PC is the ultimate version. If you ask me overall, they've succeeded.

Playing The Spatials, I found myself thinking that this game should've been a mobile game. The way the navigation is set up, the minimal depth in activities and even the enjoyable but simplistic art style all seem to lend itself more to a mobile platform.

StarDrive 2 does not dethrone Master of Orion 2 as the best 4X game in space ever made, but damn it gets close. It is almost as deep, it almost has the same rich atmosphere and almost that same inspired gameplay. That may not sound uplifting, but considering the bar we’re looking at, “almost” is a staggering achievement. No one has ever got - this - close.

Despite the early issues I had getting used to the controls and the gameplay, Pillars of Eternity became highly addictive. It was probably the point where I actually worked out a viable strategy for the two characters in my party when in combat and I found myself playing long into the night which, for me anyway, is the sign that I'm having fun.
