Platypus Reclayed is a very stylized, but overall simple shooter that can leave an impression on you. Like I mentioned at the start of the review, I love this Claymation style of art so it was a treat to experience this game in 4K. If you want a fun, and quirky shooter that is not only fun to play but challenging, then you will love this. Very cool and highly recommended!

It’s an intriguing idea for a game, but it’s not nearly deep enough to sustain itself.

Dungeon Defenders is frantic, colorful and deep in a class of games that's usually just frantic and colorful.

In order to make UT a little more playable for the casual gamer, an auto-targeting option was added to UT PS2, which makes the FC and SR even more powerful in human multiplayer.

In the end, the humorous aspect of the game and the unique story are not enough for me to continue playing. With boring retro type games, which RGC is centered on, and the need for me to unlock the games by playing challenges of which some are very difficult; I feel this game really isn't worth my time and I suggest you take a pass even if you are really into retro games.

As far as shooters are concerned, Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype is very pick-up-and-play friendly.

While it took me a while, I eventually warmed up to this game. The game play is spot on and everything seems to fit appropriately into this military sim. While the FPS crowd may not get what they are expecting, if they stay around they will find what I found, a gratifying experience.

Digimon Survive is a talk-heavy game that expects you to spend a lot of time reading, and a little bit of time fighting. That may not be the most enjoyable thing if you just want a Pokémon substitute, but as visual novels go, it’s one of the better ones.

It looks great, too, with much credit due to level design; garbage everywhere, fog littering the dead city, lighting effects bringing out the horror movie in a game, and the amount of zombies onscreen at times.

While the game is beautiful, and the story mode is a lot more engaging and interesting than that presented in "Spider-Man 2," some of the lackluster combat options and changes to web-slinging keep it from being amazing.

While BLACK doesn't add to the genre in terms of innovation, it is an experience that will suck you in and won't let go until you've finished the game.

Brainless shooters are one thing, but with an interesting storyline and the world of John Woo controllable in the palm of your hands, action fans should flock around this one as it offers much “bang” for the buck.

Riders Republic definitely does check most of the boxes for what I would like to see in an open world extreme sports title. My only real criticism is that with all the variety of sports, events, equipment and environments, it still starts to feel a bit repetitive after reaching a certain level. The Big/Boss and Sponsor events help to overcome that to an extent and I’m hoping the addition of new sports, fresh live events, and themed seasonal/limited events will as well when they roll out in the future. For now, Riders Republic is a super fun pick up and play multiplayer outdoor sports experience with plenty to see and do right out of the box.

Just about my only complaint about going back to Ghostwire: Tokyo was that the game doesn’t look quite as nice on the Steam Deck as it did when I played it on PS5 last year. When it rained, it made everything look a little more washed out, and it made it tougher to tell when you were entering a foggy area that was off-limits. You realize quickly enough when you’re somewhere you’re not supposed to be, but it was still a little disappointing. Overall, though, I’ll reiterate what I wrote up top: Spider’s Thread makes a great game even better. Ghostwire: Tokyo didn’t get nearly the level of attention it deserved on its initial release last year, and now that the game is free for Game Pass and PS+ subscribers (and generally inexpensive enough to buy on PC), there’s even less reason why it should be slept on. Do yourself a favour and get it now.

Platinum never ceases to amaze me, and thankfully Transformers: Devastation continues to prove why Platinum Games is the best action genre developer in the business today.

If I had any complaint about Lego City Undercover, it'd be that it doesn't diverge too much (or, possibly, at all) from its original version on the Wii U. As I said up top, though, that means there are only about a dozen or so people who'll actually notice that. For everyone else, for whom this will be an entirely new, go out and grab this game ASAP, because it's well worth your time and money.

It looks nice, it plays well, and it doesn’t try to be anything more than it is. What more could you want in a game of pool?

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR is a MUST HAVE if you own a PlayStation VR. As much of a fan as I am of everything VR, I can safely say that this is what I have been waiting for. The only other game that even comes close to this form of immersion is Farpoint, but Skyrim blows that away! I wanted an experience where I felt I was living and interacting in a complete virtual world and Skyrim VR accomplishes this magnificently. Despite it’s very minor issues, I can highly recommend getting this even if you’ve never played an Elder Scrolls game before. Even if you’ve mastered the previous versions, you owe it to yourself to give this version a try. This is one I will be definitely playing for a long time.

Overall, if you can get passed the stale visuals and ho-hum same old, same old feeling, and you just love storming the castles, then by all means pick this one up.

A unique and refreshing console style RPG whose superb story and irreverent characters easily overshadow its minor technical limitations.

Make no mistake about it, this game does not trounce, destroy, walk all over, or replace "Grand Theft Auto." It is a better game though, as it is more refined and makes a nice addition for those who like the genre and are looking for more.

Any fan of Monster Rancher will be in absolute heaven with this new entry, and its more kid-friendly graphics are sure to attract more of the younger crowed to its decidedly simple, incredibly addictive gameplay.

It's a piece of 2D history, and one that no DC owning fighting fan should be without.

I for one found Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved to be a very enjoyable experience and one that I will certainly pick up from time to time even after the magic has worn off.

Despite how much I find myself enjoying the majority of the LEGO games, I find Harry Potter putting me pretty close to my breaking point. The series is incredibly formulaic at this point, and while I loved the magic and exploration aspects of the first Harry Potter adventure, this just feels like more of the same.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Road 96 when it was released last year on Switch and PC, then I think the PlayStation and Xbox releases are certainly worth a look. It’s not a time consuming or challenging experience, but it’s an entertaining adventure game with a neat gameplay hook that will likely keep you interested until the end.

I still love this game and it's over 15 years old -- if that isn't enough to make you want to try it, I don't know what else would.

The controls are smooth and consistent, the graphics are sharp and the fighting is satisfying once you put in the practice.

To be sure, Super Tennis Blast isn’t flawless. Because it’s so no-frills, the matches and venues and opponents can start to seem the same after awhile. It’s hard to have personality when everything is so basic, after all. But that doesn’t take away from the fact this is a very solid, well-made tennis game. Super Tennis Blast isn’t going to wow you, but compared to its competition, it doesn’t need too — simply being competent is more than enough to make it stand out.

There is enough to please everyone, but don't expect to be wowed by anything new or revolutionary, yet it still doesn't take away from the fact this is a solid racing game.

Buzz: The Hollywood Quiz is a fun time and appropriate for gamers of all ages, but it is rated Teen because some of the stuff the announcer may say can be somewhat risqué.

I personally like "Psi Ops" better as it was faster paced, had a more realistic look, and easier to control. Some gamers may like Second Sight for its open ended-ness and better-written dialog.

So is Costume Quest worth picking up, even if you're not a huge RPG fan? Absolutely. It's great as both an entry point for players that don't have a lot of experience in the genre, and it also serves up a lot of fan for people that aren't really RPG fans to begin with.

It’s a sign of how addictive Reigns is, though, that powering through without any breaks feels like an inevitable outcome. It’s designed to suck you in, and if you want to discover a unique experience, you’ll give in and let that happen.

EndWar may not be the best RTS on the market, but it certainly breathes new life into the genre on consoles.

Avowed is, as I noted above, exactly what you’d imagine a fantasy epic to be – and it’s all the better for it.

Metro 2033 has something for nearly everyone, held back mainly by the A.I. I feel largely that if the enemy behaviors had been further tended to, that the game could have really soared in the same way that Halo did in its time.

If you want an exciting starship combat simulator that presents some real challenge, this is the best.

Think of this game as a survival horror game that allows you to kick ass instead of being a helpless victim who is low on ammo and courage.

Sure I still prefer the sweat simplicity of the old school style of ball, but it’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun playing a baseball game.

With it's great game play, gorgeous graphical engine, and appealing extras, who can resist giving this game a "test drive"?

It’s a gorgeous, relaxing game that changes every time you play it, and it’s got a world that’s easy to get immersed in.

You still have a cutesy, hard-drawn style that recalls the likes of Scribblenauts. You still have scenes that are a little too overcrowded and filled with too many tiny objects, forcing you to zoom into every scene so that you spend forever searching for one or two dumb little details. And you still have no real way to ask for help, save for clues that are so obscure that they’re essentially useful. Of course, if you’re a diehard hidden object gamer (do those exist?), that may sound appealing. If it weren’t for Crime O’Clock, that might even have described me. But seeing as that other, better, more interesting game is also available, the only reason to get Hidden Through Time 2 is if you’ve already exhausted that and you’re after something that isn’t as fun.

What it does is present a complete package that lacks very little for football fans and NCAA Football fans alike, and for many that may just be enough to satisfy the hungry crowd.

Overall the game feels a little half baked to me, and not something I'd suggest to anyone outside of the hardcore Transformer fan base.

The addition of some sort of tie-in to the new game is nice to see too, for those of you that plan on picking it up. There's a lot of content in the game too, and for the price you're paying, I'd say it's certainly worth checking out, even for long time fans that have already played the game to death.

If you don't have the ability to play Tropico 4 on the PC, I think the Xbox 360 version of the game is certainly suitable enough. It's still a better experience on the PC, especially when it comes to both controls and visuals, but the 360 does the job, and the controller set-up is easy enough to learn.

The asking price, like most Square Enix titles on mobile platforms, is a little steep for what you get. But overall this is a pretty solid port, and the novelty of playing FF VII on a phone or tablet is enough to make me suggest picking this up.

Sure, the game is open ended and non-linear, sure, you can mercilessly pummel citizens, and sure, you can hijack cars when you need to get somewhere. The controls take on a new way to perform most of these familiar elements and expand on the experience, which puts the Godfather into a class all in itself.

I definitely think Strider is worth checking out, whether you’re a fan of the original or not.

Overall, Cronos: The New Dawn feels like a proper spiritual successor to Dead Space in many ways, but the narrative and environment stand tall on their own to create a truly memorable experience in survival horror. It gives “The Thing” body horror vibes which is a bonus.

The story isn't all that noteworthy, especially given the amount of cinematics the player is forced to sit through, but it gets the job done. And sure, the battle system is fun, but as the game develops, it grows more annoying, frustrating, and tedious, requiring a fair amount of dedication and patience to work through.

The mission variety and complexity, with multi-tiered goals and mixtures of dog fighting, bombing and strafing, make Secret Weapons Over Normandy a long-lived, rewarding experience.

I pretty much love The Gunstringer, and it is easily my favorite thing Twisted Pixel has put out so far.

Star Wars Outlaws is a perfect example of a good game that could’ve been a great one if only its developers had played to its strengths. Hopefully we get an Outlaws II, because there are enough solid ideas here that you could strip out the annoying bits and wind up with a really incredible game.

Pretty much a dungeon romp, and while the characters are entertaining, the story is a little light. The graphics and presentation are top notch for a GBA game. All together a great package from Atlus.

Game play in the first NFL Street hampered on the difficulty on playing defense. This has all been fixed in NFL Street 2 as there are a larger amount of both offence and defensive plays that not only give you a chance of catching a player off guard for the easy score, but for that quick sack as well.

The production value on the voice acting, during missions and briefings are fantastic, and the game looks beautiful both during missions and during briefings. The story, with the threat of “the silent ones” hanging over all three races, is engaging.

It’s a bummer when you are first getting familiar with a level and have to repeatedly reload after dying. I have rage quit a couple times from this alone. Most people won’t’ let this affect them and in their case, you’re likely to have a good time with Hitman.

There are unique concepts in the game that hardcore gamers should enjoy tweaking. Though the routine campaign missions, lack of multiplayer audience, and un-novice friendly interface might have some players looking elsewhere.

The gameplay, graphics, flexibility of options and entertainment factor make this the best volleyball game to date, hands down.

I recognize, of course, that criticizing a game that sells itself as a tough as nails platformer for being too tough as nails is the very definition of missing the point. La-Mulana EX never pretends to be anything other than that, so whatever dislike I have for the game comes down entirely to my own gaming failings, not any failure on the part of the game itself.

The puzzles may be simple and sometimes repetitive, but if you enjoy solving puzzles, can appreciate the colorful canvas-like design, and have an open mind for classic point and click gaming with a bit of retro and modern elements, I would say check out Broken Sword 5.

Minor gripe aside, I expect Headlander to reach that cult classic status like many of Double Fine’s prior titles and it’s well deserved. This is a must own for fans of the genre.

Overall I was extremely impressed by what ZombiU brought to the table for Wii U owners. It's a fantastically tense horror experience, and one of the best zombie themed games I've had the pleasure of playing.

At its core, Rock Boshers DX is a retro-inspired twin-stick shooter, as I said. But it's also a lot more than that, and it's worth giving it a chance to find out.

I'm sure that if you're willing to make the commitment, there's some kind of payoff, but considering the size of my backlog and the multitude of other JRPGs out there that aren't as dense, I can't say it's a commitment I'm willing to make.

Classic trilogy or not, the idea that you have to sink 40 or 50 hours into a game before it gets really good is kind of insane. By itself (or, I guess, going by the two games included here), Muv-Luv falls a little short of being a must-buy…though, at the same time, if you want to check out the third game (and I do after playing through Muv-Luv Unlimited), it’s probably unavoidable. So — buyer beware.

The game touts itself as a bite-size ‘pick-up & play’ action title and by all counts it absolutely delivers on that promise, however once you’ve done everything there’s no real reason to go back…yes the title does unlock a hardcore difficulty level which you must get through the game with only 1 heart, but the effort required will probably not reap a bountiful reward. Nonetheless, the title is worth a taste, and could absolutely be a comfort meal.

Of course with all the features already being touted about for Rock Band 3 this year it's hard to think of Warriors of Rock as a really progressive entry into the genre, but I think there's enough fun to be had with the on disc content to make it worth a look for everyone that already generally enjoys these types of games.

For me, this has been the deepest and most rewarding Tiger Woods PGA Tour title I’ve ever played.

There's not really a lot to mention outside of the fact that it's a great port of a great game, and if you want another device to play Plants vs. Zombies on, it's worth checking out.

None of this is all that new, and I can understand why some people might be tempted to write Eternal Strands off as a collection of influences thrown together. But if you’ll look a little longer, you’ll see that it combines those influences awfully well.

Overall, Tera is extremely fun; the real time battle system makes the game very unique among the MMO genre. The use of the Unreal Engine and the beautiful soundtrack does a wonderful job of immersing players into the world. The promise of the Vanarchs sounds like a great attempt at giving players the ability to really influence the world, though the questing system is somewhat disappointing in the sense that it makes the game feel like a standard MMO. And finally the battle system makes the game stand out against a slew of MMO games that have already made a name for themselves.

If you love the Hot Shots Golf PSP titles, and are itching for something similar, I can definitely recommend Pangya: Fantasy Golf. While being a little more casual feeling, it still has quite a lot of depth and variety, a lengthy single player campaign, and a ton of content to unlock.

Bravo to the developers for taking the feedback and helping make the game more accessible. There's a ton to like about this game and I hope more people will hear about it and give it a try.

"Dark Reign 2" might fail to stand tall with titles like "Ground Control," "Homeworld," and "Starcraft."

Not only do you have the massively huge missions from the original title, but also included is the Fist Alpha expansion pack that brings on even more weapons, missions, and fun.

There is much fun to be had by Brute Force, and if you just don’t get wrapped up in the hype of hoping for the next "Halo," you will have a great time with Brute Force, Xbox live or not.

No, this is a game that's perfect for the Vita. The controls align exactly with the its strengths as a handheld, while its content is tailor-made for quick sessions here and there. To make it even more appealing, the game looks beautiful, its bright colours and cute designs really popping on the Vita's OLED screen. Add it all up, and you've got yourself a nice little time-waster.

With a few technical issues aside, if you are a fan of Battlefield 2, you will still want to grab this expansion; if only for the new weapons, vehicles, and stuff to do.

If you're looking for a challenge, Super Cop difficulty approaches the Xbox level, and the truly masochistic can always use the Hard-Boiled cheat as suggested by Namco.

At a price tag of $11.99, this isn’t what I’d consider a steal. But if you’re absolutely dying for more Peggle, this will likely keep you satiated for a week or two.

ININ has has done it again with Taito Milestones 3. The emulation is top notch and the selection of games is one of the best so far. I love that the finally added Runark/Growl and Warrior Blade, along with fun and interesting additions like Cadash and Champion Wrestler. I also like that they are still adding exclusive games not available in the eShop separately, but they do, however, need to bring the number of exclusive games up to say, 4 or 5, for the next volume if there will be one. All in all, a great collection of games with less disappointing additions over the previous volumes. Recommended for anyone looking to play some great classic arcade games without spending a ton of cash.

If you’ve played previous Sniper Elite games, you already know if you’re going to like Sniper Elite 5. If you haven’t, I can’t recommend it enough, as well as the previous entries. The quality is consistent all the way back to the first entry, and it’s a ton of fun. Don’t forget to check out the Nazi Zombie Army games as well. As I mentioned at the beginning of the review, Rebellion knows the meaning of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, and they’ve used that to pump out a series of great games.

Even though the PLayStation 3 is the definitive version of the series, and no doubt the best baseball game on the market, there are still some glaring issues that make the game seemed as if it were rushed to make this season.

It’s a fun action-adventure game that builds upon the lore of the series in a way that works pretty well, with interesting combat mechanics and an addictive upgrade system that gave me a good 20 or so hours of playtime. Even now I could go back and clean up some of the collectibles and optional challenges, and still plan to do so at some point. So yeah, I think Darksiders Genesis is certainly worth a look, but you’ll likely get more appreciation out of it if you’re at least familiar with the series up to now.

All in all, this is an excellent, fully featured rendition of one of the best Dynasty Warriors games on the market.

The realism may turn off some run and gun gamers, but even those fans will have a hard time not appreciating what Sniper Elite brings to the table in terms of great and entertaining game play.

As someone who’s always loved building teams in other sports games, it was pretty fun to have so much control over your destiny here. Even more importantly, watching the games play out on the field was pretty enjoyable here. I wouldn’t say that Football Manager Touch 2018 is about to challenge FIFA or anything in the looks department, but it’s still pleasant to look at.

I enjoy playing the game daily since it keeps a chart of my progress. Does the game make me any smarter? I doubt it, but the bottom line is I’m having fun.

Space Invaders Invincible Collection is definitely worth your time even if you never heard of the games included before. Their simple concept and gameplay is suitable for every type of gamer out there, even the hardcore ones. Forget what was released before, this is a fantastic collection of great games that should not be missed by fans and newcomers alike. Pick this one up if you can, highly recommended!

If you rush to the goal for each level you’ll be done with this in a few hours, give or take a couple hours for your level of skill. But if you’re a big fan of Mario platformers, and have been looking for some amped up difficulty, New Super Luigi U certainly does the trick.

The story is well written and very entertaining, and the cast of characters really grow on you.

Definitely a love letter to old-school gaming fans.

It looks great, and more importantly, it plays great.

One of the best off-roading simulation games available on the market today.
