    Second Sight is one of the true overlooked gems of the most recent console generation. An innovative, realistic targeting system was implemented alongside useful, diverse psychic powers. All of this is used to tell one of the best, most coherently-told stories ever to grace a videogame. When thinking about the future of games as a storytelling medium, this is the game that comes to mind for me. A true gem.… Expand

    If you like your paranormal, and you like mutant abnormalities combined with 3rd person perspective..........you are going to like this game!

    Short and easy, but enjoyable all the way through. The psychic powers are fun to use, and unlike IGN's review seems to convey, they are Short and easy, but enjoyable all the way through. The psychic powers are fun to use, and unlike IGN's review seems to convey, they are great and useful weapons, instead of being gimmicky. The story, while borrowing many clichés and being confusing once at mid-point, will make much more sense once the game is finished, and will have any hard sci-fi litterature fan revel in delight. Graphics are high-average for the Gamecube. A few textures look bland, but the, at times, creepy atmosphere makes up for it. Open-ended approach to puzzles is an appreciable addition. The enemy AI, is, unfortunately, dissapointing. While the game encourages you to play it stealthily, there are many ways to abuse some design flaws to have very cheap shots at the enemies. To make the game fairer, the designers made the enemies spawn when you are detected, which breaks the illusion of realism (Where did those guys come from?!? The area's closed off and I cleared the whole place!). The mundane weapons are your normal shooter arsenal; pistols, machine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns...… Expand

The story alone makes this worth picking up, and the excellent gameplay makes this a must play title. And the game allows you to play it the way you want to. You can blow through the enemies with your psychic powers and guns, or you can sneak your way past enemies without them knowing you were even there. The controls are also fantastic and tight, although the lock on system is sometimes a tad annoying locking on to items scattered around and not your enemies, but those problems are few and far between. An engrossing plot will have you dying to see every new cutscene. Some of the voice acting is kind of cheesy/bad, but that doesn't detract from the story at all. This is a must play game that's so fantastic it needs to be experienced by any and all gamers.… Expand

    I remember playing Second Sight in my teenage years, and I looked back on it fondly. However sometimes Nostalgia just straight lies to you.I remember playing Second Sight in my teenage years, and I looked back on it fondly. However sometimes Nostalgia just straight lies to you. There’s next to no redeeming factors in this title made by Free Radical, the creators of the TimeSplitters Trilogy. Despite my efforts to like this game, I found myself hating the shoddy camera controls, the lack of fun gameplay, and the over-reliance on the psychic abilities you gain throughout the game. With a plot as convoluted as B-rated spy movie; it was really hard to follow or even give a damn about what was being presented in front of me. In the end, I learned that sometimes you should just leave Nostalgia alone.
