You’ll know the first time you play it whether this game is for you – you’ll either be immediately dissuaded by its complexity and depth, or you’ll fall in love with them. There are a few missteps here and there that can fluctuate the difficulty within a mission (the AI can be a bit iffy, and if you work through a building demolition fast enough, you can avoid much more trouble than if you dawdle), but overall, this is a game worth checking out.

This is one of those games that has great potential, but has been derailed by bad design choices. The control system needs to be revisited, a tutorial added, and a campaign mode would be a good addition. If there is an Age of Pirates 3, I hope these issues will be addressed.
