-
It's a very unique take on an RPG, and the Monopoly/Mario Party elements combine well to create something new.
-
Overall, Dokapon Journey is a refreshing game.
-
I do think that the gameplay is solid, and a couple of tweaks could make this a great game.
-
Like many Atlus titles, this isn't a game for everyone. Lone players can enjoy the colorful art, the humor and some of the table-turning ruthlessness, but Dokepon's journey is meant to be taken with friends.
-
The game can be a lot of fun with three or four human players, but playing with the computer-controlled characters gets boring fast.
-
Nintendo PowerAs you might expect, facing computer-controlled opponents in an RPG-themed board game is a dreadful bore. [May 2009, p.89]
-
There's hardly any redeeming factors in the entire game. It's too complex to appeal to casual or young gamers, and at the same time, it's too basic an silly to appeal to mature gamers.
