Ghostrunner really grabbed me for two reasons: On the one hand, thanks to the ingeniously playful level design, I feel like a child on the adventure playground again. And on the other hand, Ghostrunner lets me feel that there is no need for superpowers to gamble through, if you just really dig into the mechanics and levels.

The fact that recruits can easily be found in the world is also a good way of drawing attention to the open world. Because it should be seen: As an open-world city, London feels amazingly real and is full of life. Sometimes I ignore all the missions and prefer to drive a little with music through the brightly lit streets, watch people while I am strolling along the Thames or fly high over the roofs in a cargo drone to look for the best way to a hidden technology point.

The eight characters allow for a very varied approach, depending on their composition. I also liked the strategy part with the base building as a resting place between the missions. It underlines the feeling of being part of a long-established resistance movement. On the other hand, I was hoping for more from the perspective of the Russian partisans. Despite the scenario, the narrative remains very superficial.

Torchlight 3 is not worthy of its name. Exploring the game world is worth zero. Where have all the side missions gone? The transformations for my pet? The fight with two one-handed weapons? Why are there no more jewel sockets and why do I have to collect rat shit in a main quest? This game is monotonous, generic and soulless. If you just turn off your brain for an hour or two, you can still get in here. But if you want more for your money, you're in the wrong place.

Now Crytek has jumped onto the remaster train and is stepping into the trap it has built for itself: To release a new edition of a 13-year-old game in 2020, which again needs a really expensive PC for full graphics power, is a crazy idea.

At its core, it's still the same game as Crusader Kings 2, for better and for worse. It's still highly complex and tells great stories. Horizon still has its weaknesses and sometimes feels overloaded with all of the open-world activities, crafting systems or an annoying fast travel system. If I ignore all of this, I have a world open to me that shines above all because it really has something to say - be it within its history or even how we deal with each other and our planet in reality. That is exactly what I miss in many open world games, in which the story likes to degenerate into a breadcrumb trail for all kinds of filling tasks.

esperados 3 is simply staged staggeringly: The Western atmosphere is tight for editing, I can experiment tactically with the five characters, sneak through almost completely or occasionally incite shootings. My heroes comment on the action, and with a few exceptions, the behavior of the opponents is logical and understandable. I even fail because I always know what was wrong and can optimize accordingly. This is what modern real-time tactics must look like. Be sure to play it.
