Despite the short length it's easy to recommend LIMBO to anyone who enjoys puzzle games, especially given the way the game expertly crafts a foreboding atmosphere with a minimum of graphics and sounds. If you played the game when it was originally released, you'll find that it has aged well and is still wholly capable of sucking you back in the way it did when you first played it. If you're new to LIMBO, then it's about time you played this classic indie game.

If you're a fan of Street Fighter, I definitely recommend checking out Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection. The game is by far the best Street Fighter collection that has been released thus far and all the most popular iterations are online. The online seems to function quite well too! The amount of history that is in this collection is pretty mind-boggling.

Gorogoa is a good fit for the Switch. The four panel interface is a good fit for a portable game and you can play the game entirely using the touch screen. While it makes for a good portable game, you should probably make your way through the game without long breaks in between as it can be hard to remember what panels led you to the current stage of the puzzle and how you last manipulated the current panels. Overall, Gorogoa is an unusual and unique puzzle game, and it's easy to recommend to anyone who enjoys games of this genre.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a massive game set in an incredible recreation of an ancient world. I wish the special moves were a little less clunky to use and that assassinations always resulted in kills, but these are minor complaints when compared to the fun that I had in the game. It might not be an Assassin's Creed game in the strictest sense, but the journey across Ancient Greece that Odyssey took me on was well worth the ride.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is a great fighting game for players that favor a style of fighting similar to Street Fighter. It’s actually a great game for beginners with all the help you can get from the game’s tutorial mode. It will be interesting to see how this game stacks up with other fighters at major tournaments. I have already seen it showcased at a few tournaments and hope to see more of it. The only thing the game is really lacking is story mode completion and a bigger roster. Other than that, it’s a very solid fighter.

Fans of The Evil Within need to give this game a shot since it has ideas taken from that game at times. If you’ve ever played Breakdown for the original Xbox (it’s a classic on the Xbox store also), Ghostwire Tokyo has that level of immersion in it, but it focuses more on projectile combat rather than melee combat. I'll be honest: Saint's Row: The Third really surprised me. It had all the strikes against it: I didn't care for the first two games in the series, I'm not a huge open world crime fan and I've been feeling less positive toward games that are shocking for the sake of being shocking. Somehow, the game's huge ability to entertain and bewilder the player forgives all that in my book, and even after finishing the main game, I'm still having a blast just bouncing around Steelport.

So that's it; the series that started in 2009 with Demon's Souls is coming to a close. The Ringed City has its share of annoyances, but the story, lore and bosses make any complaints null and void. This really does feel like 'the end' but games are like Marvel characters; no matter how or why they die, wait a few months and ' surprise ' they are alive again. I highly doubt From Software is done with the Souls series forever, but if I'm wrong this is the perfect way to cap off the last eight years of living in a Dark Souls world.
