The single-player campaign is a blast, but will leave you wishing that it was longer.

A fascinating game that provides a tremendous amount of gameplay.

It will only take you a few hours to get through Welcome to Elk, but you’ll be thinking about it for some time after you’ve finished it. If that sounds intriguing to you, then I encourage you to take the time and experience something that’s not quite what you’d expect from a game.

This new MK truly deserves the title "Mortal Kombat" since it feels like a new start for the series in many ways.

If you're an SC fan, you will most likely enjoy SoulCalibur VI even if SC5 left a bad taste in your mouth. A series reboot is probably the safest way to keep the storyline fresh in the series while giving us new plotlines to enjoy in the existing story. SC6's single player portion has been improved greatly from its predecessor, so that alone is a major plus. The single player content will last you tons of hours since playing Libra of Souls is much like playing an rpg. SC6 is definitely a great fighter to pick up for both hardcore and casual fighting game fans - it's easily got both groups covered extremely well!

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a definite pickup if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan and appreciate the old NES games. It might even appeal to newer fans as well. The game has a great difficulty balance. It is not easy and not too hard. The game has checkpoints that you’ll constantly respawn at, so you never have to repeat much if you die. The game has multiple difficulties (beat the game once to get “Hard”), and just like the old NES titles, it is a great speedrun game. The combat is very satisfying and the game is overall a really good evolution of the NES games. Be sure to try out this game if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan!

The amount of detail, information, and control in SimCity 4 is nothing short of amazing - wannabe city planners and mayors will be in city management nirvana.

The setting itself and the very unique factions in the game are enough to make the game stand out from the crowd. Back this up with some solid RTS gameplay and you have a winner in Rise of Legends.

Fulfill a sci-fi fantasy by becoming the Captain of your own starship! Don't expect great graphics, but do except to lose many hours to FTL and expect to lose your ship ... a lot.

Madden NFL 07 delivers a good, enjoyable game of football and if you can look past the current-gen graphics you’ll find that it can be more fun than the sexier Xbox 360 version.

If you didn't enjoy Fallout 3 or are not a fan of RPGs in general, then you'll probably disagree with me. Everyone else should seriously consider taking a road trip to New Vegas.

One of the great things about Borderlands is that there is always plenty to do. In addition to the story missions there are always a number of other missions available, either from characters that you meet in the game or from job boards in the friendly settlements.

Indigo Prophecy may very well be the best adventure game for the Xbox...not much more needs to be said than that.

A mind-blowingly good time.

Overall WWE2K25 is a much better step forward than previous years. The franchise has been playing it too safely ever since 2K22 and it finally has stepped away from that safe haven to advance a bit. Each mode seems to have gained some extras that make them more relevant. I think My Rise has improved the most overall. It’s gone from a bloated filler story that I would never want to play again to a shorter more plot focused story that is easily more replayable. If you’re a WWE fan, this game is definitely one to pick up. It’s the best WWE since 2K22, and the My Rise mode is the best one since 2K19. For the developers to have only one year to create this game, it’s quite impressive with what all they have done with this installment.

Whether you play Summit Strike for the single player campaign, the multiplayer action, or both, you'll thoroughly enjoy the game.

At its core, Fallout 4 is exactly what fans should expect, great storytelling, presentation, and character development with a side of disappointment. The new features just don't seem as polished as they should be, but thankfully don't take away from the overall experience.

A thinking person's shooter, and provides some solid, tense gameplay... The single player mode is good, the multiplayer outstanding.

It provides plenty of challenge for sim fans, and does a great job of giving racing rookies a chance to gain racing skills without the need for countless hours of frustration.

An interesting simulator of small unit urban tactics, but a lot of gamers will find the gameplay too slow and constraining.

Reigns: Game of Thrones is easily played in small chunks of time when you need a distraction, but it can easily suck you in for longer than you intended. While the mechanics of the game make for a challenging solitaire experience, the game has a greater value to Game of Thrones fans as they can play out the many directions that Season Eight may take while they wait for HBO to debut Game of Throne's final season.

The stealth genre gets some much needed reinvigoration.

Even though the remake of RE3 trips a little during Jill's last escape, the game is still a fine retelling of a classic.

Vanquish is an over-the-top, insane shooter with some fantastic graphics and enticingly entertaining gameplay.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is somewhat of a mixed bag, but overall it’s still a great beat’em up. I enjoyed the game much more once I finished the story mode and went into the Arcade Mode. I feel this game mainly excels with its tag team gameplay and overall roster. Story mode just has a sort of dull feel to it with little challenge, but Arcade Mode makes the stage progression feel more meaningful. Cosmic Invasion is not as good as Shredder’s Revenge, but I do feel it just enough unique mechanics to stand out on its own. The hardcore Marvel fan will be pleased, but those looking for something along the lines of Shredder’s Revenge might find the game to be somewhat lacking in areas. I do feel that this would be in the upper bracket of Marvel beat’em ups, but ff this game could get some impressive DLC (more stages and characters), it could very well be a legendary Marvel beat’em up.

More of an incremental change over the original game than a full-blown sequel, but those increments are pretty good ones.

The game’s mission-based structures makes for a lot of opportunities to show cutscenes, and Jak 3 takes full advantage of this.

A unique life-simulator that is definitely worth a look for its novelty alone.

Sine Mora is an addicting shooter the first time through, but it's very short and only the most hardcore shooter fans will get the most out of it.

A real-time strategy game more for the armchair general than the real-time strategy gamer.

All the games are pretty much arcade perfect. The only game with changes from its original platform is MK Trilogy, but those changes are for the better. My main problem with the collection is the spotty online and the fact that it has no lobbies. Lobbies are said to be coming soon. Hopefully, the existing problems can be fixed. If everything is fixed, this collection could be a 90% score for me but with everything still messed up, I have to lower it. Even with the existing problems, this collection is really a must buy for any serious MK fan!

Go in expecting a puerile romp in much the same way you would going to a summer movie and you'll most likely finding yourself having a good time.

The controls become second nature rather quickly, the graphics are great, the animation is awesome, the sounds and voice acting well done, there are sexy babes, and there are some great looking attacks.

Although I miss the single player campaign, Zombies provides story-based gameplay for those who prefer to have a reason to be doing so much killing. I would have liked to see more game modes in the multiplayer mode given the game's multiplayer focus, and the absence of any of the casual alternative modes like Gun Game is surprising. The game does provide some additional variety in terms of the number of maps available at launch, which is welcome. The Blackout mode is excellent, the synergy of Call of Duty gunplay and battle royale gameplay instantly make Black Ops 4 a standout in this gaming genre.

The game gives you a lot of action for a downloadable shooter, but it's not full-featured. There's no way to play or practice offline, so you'll have to learn the maps and how to use the vehicles in the heat of battle.

Whether you played the game back in the day or not, if you were around in the 80's and early 90's, do yourself a favor and check this one out.

If you never liked the Sly games then this means that you’re not going to enjoy Sly 3. The rest of you will love going along with the gang on another adventure.

If you value story and atmosphere in your games, then you will enjoy the way Beyond Good & Evil transports you into its fantastic world.

A grand slam of a portable baseball game.

With such an expansive roster, this game is easily the best of the Budokai games. It also plays well and it certainly looks fantastic. The only true flaw is that it is somewhat lacking in single player content compared to other DB games. It also has some character balance issues, which is kind of common in games like this. Unlike the past few DB games, this is more of one that you buy for playing against a friend or online rather than single player. Overall, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero receives a high recommendation from me.

Once the poor bot AI is replaced by human players, the game instantly becomes more challenging and thrilling.

Far bigger than Darksiders, but not necessarily better.

A great action-oriented RPG for those who like to spend more time killing hordes of monsters than reading screen after screen of conversational text.

Homeworld 2 has established itself as the benchmark game in real-time strategy space combat. Its intense difficulty will be a turn off to many casual gamers, though.

It's "Civilization" set in space, and the result is an enjoyable strategy game but one that does not fully realize its potential.

These are two very fantastic games that need to be played by action fans. Bayonetta is the star of the show with its flawless execution and Vanquish is a damn good game, but its slowdown in its cutscenes keep it from being a flawless upgrade. Either way, this collection is a great representation of the best that Platinum Games has developed. If you want to see their best work, then look no further!

Overall Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is an enjoyable kart racer. The karts are fast and the tracks are challenging, so the campaign mode can be a little frustrating to casual and younger gamers. Multiplayer racing is a lot of fun, both locally and online, and you can easily get in a couple of races when you only have a few minutes of game time available. I love all of the customization options, but picking up all of the coins that you need and accomplishing all of the goals required will take some time to get through.

It may have the word "junk" in its title, but this game is a monster of a good time.

If you enjoy tower defense games, it's pretty safe to assume that you'll like Comet Crash.

The game does an excellent job of not only providing an enjoyable gameplay experience, but also of capturing the spirit of the Hulk.

Although the story may be lacking “epic qualities” and a little short, the game still delivers on many of the promises that it makes.

Resident Evil 5 digs deep into the series' origins with its overall story and slightly enhances the overall addicting gameplay that left its mark with Resident Evil 4.

Street Fighter x Tekken is a very unique blend of a 2D fighter and a 3D fighter and feels fresh in a variety of different ways.

A truly complete gaming package. The multiplayer game is excellent, the expanded Zombies mode is an enjoyable and very welcome addition, and the single player campaign is a fun ride that will have you yelling "Josephina!" at random times for weeks to come. About the only miss is the addition of the Strike Force missions, but they don't drag down the overall experience with them.

For a game, it's more eye-opening than it is entertaining.

While the game is heavy on urban hip-hop culture, the over the top gameplay also makes it fun for those out in the countryside or who aren’t sure whether having bling-bling is a good thing or not.

Depending on your skill level, this DLC could take between 3-8 hours to get through, and the loot that you'll find, especially the rings, make it worth it.

Grasshopper Manfacture and Suda 51 have dropped a true gem onto Xbox Live, and it's one that is well worth your time and money.

Need for Speed SHIFT managed to hook me to the point where I was looking forward to my next session with the game. Not all games can do that, and especially not all racing games, and that tells me that the designers did something right with this one.

Bangai-O Spirits is a great puzzle game, an extreme action game, a worthy notch on Treasure's belt and a discount priced experience with infinite replay.

The patient and detail-oriented strategy gamer will find a lot to love with Hearts of Iron 2, but it may be far too involved for the average player.

Bad Piggies is certainly more challenging than the Angry Birds games that came before it. A three year old can play Angry Birds, but without at least a rudimentary grasp of basic physics Bad Piggies will be an exercise in frustration.

Sometimes it's good to play a game that succeeds so well in the entertainment category while remaining light and humorous and this is one of those times.

Designed for RPG veterans and particularly those familiar with Dungeons & Dragons. The game comes with an excellent and thorough manual, but at well over 100 pages it might be overwhelming to a newbie.

Builders is a very solid title with the perfect mix of genre-bending to make it unique.

The levels are imaginative and at times surreal, infusing the game with a unique and compelling atmosphere. The cutscenes are excellent and if you've seen a scene before and want to skip it, the game uses an interesting mechanism to allow you to bypass it.

Takes the addicting gameplay pioneered by EverQuest and makes it more streamlined, accessible, and more enjoyable than before.

The story is interesting enough, but I didn't find it nearly as engaging as in some of the prior games. Onomichi is a nice enough location to visit, but the game has you spend too much time there for what it has to offer. And I miss the fighting styles of Yakuza 0 and the strategic element they added to the fights. If you're new to the series, you'll have fun with the game, but fans of the series will probably be left feeling like they expected more out of Yakuza 6.

The Lost Chapters is a novel game and will draw you in in ways other games can't. It's an interesting experience and well worth your time.

Little Nightmares II excels at creating a creepy atmosphere through its twisted nightmare dreamscape. You’ll feel compelled to keep pushing forward, as much to help Mono escape from this world as to discover the mystery behind the Signal Tower. Death awaits around every corner, but I felt that each death was a learning experience more than it was a source of frustration. After each one, I learned a little something, be it when to swing a pipe, where to make a jump, what to avoid knocking over, or that loose floorboards are probably a trigger for a trap. And with each death I picked myself up and pushed further on, because I had to see how this nightmare ended.

Destiny 2 on PC is the best way to experience the game in terms of its visuals and, for those who prefer to use a mouse and keyboard, in terms of control as well. If you're already playing on a console, I don't think these advantages are enough to recommend migrating to the PC unless you have friends playing on PC that you'd like to join. The journey through the game's campaign will provide you with plenty of gameplay for your money, especially for a shooter, as long as you take advantage of the numerous side missions and activities along the way rather than trying to push your way to the end as quickly as possible. How much more mileage you're able to get out of the game beyond that will depend a lot on you. If focusing on your power level will be your prime motivation for playing, then you'll likely find the game to be a grind. When I play Destiny 2 beyond the final mission, I jump into a Strike, play a few matches of multiplayer in the Crucible, or take part in whatever current game event happens to be going on. The game has kept my interest in that way, but I can see how the daily player who's focused on equipment drops may get a little frustrated by the slow pace and grind of the end game. If you're interested in playing the game, I'd certainly recommend it as you'll get your money's worth out of it, even if you eventually tire of the experience.

MLB 06: The Show is a grand slam of a portable baseball game.

Overall 2K24 has a bunch of small improvements when compared to 2K23, but it does feel like a better upgrade when compared to the transition of 2K22 to 2K23. It’s overall a worthy pickup for fans of WWE games. It has a much better showcase than last year and also the roster is the most solid it’s been in quite a few years. If you’re on the fence about it, I’d recommend trying it out before buying, though, since its similar to 2K23 in a lot of ways (mainly graphics).

I can’t count myself as a fan of professional boxing, but I did find Fight Night 3 to be very enjoyable. I liked the challenge of needing to fight smart to win, and found that this made the game far more engaging to me than other fight games.

NHL '13 delivers a massive update to the series that has been long awaited by fans.

Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, don't let this challenging puzzle game's cute graphics fool you.

Overall, The Misadventures of P. B. Winterbottom is a rather unique game, both in terms of look and gameplay, and fans of puzzle games are encouraged to give it a try.

Crisis Core has a pretty good story that is aimed squarely at the people who still think FF7 was the best game they ever played.

Darksiders is a complete game experience, and if you have even the remotest of fondness for action games you should make a point to play it.

A very fast-paced and more arcade-like basketball experience, but a lot of fun nonetheless.

One of the creepiest and unsettling games to come along in a while. Play it alone at night with the lights off and enjoy the creepy ride.

Pac-Man purists may balk at this new edition of the game, but CE can be a lot of fun for anyone who enjoys fast-paced arcade action now and again.

There’s plenty of great RPG action to be found in this galaxy.
