Dragon Rising has become a very attractive and action packed shooter in a genre that's mostly associated with slow gameplay. This game could even be the missing link between hardcore and casual shooters. If you're looking for a lot of freedom, Dragon Rising isn’t that experience. Still, the game is a worthy successor of the first Operation Flashpoint.

Dead Nation puts a lot of full-priced games to shame. It takes at least six hours to complete and is playable cooperatively offline as well as online. The never-ending waves of zombies are graphically impressive. Buy this, you won't regret it.

Riders Republic, like Steep, is at its best when the game forces you to try harder. Mastering certain challenges takes practice and patience. That's what makes the game. Like Steep, Riders Republic doesn't have a storyline, fancy style, important dialogue, or great music. Riders Republic is just a beautiful game world where you take on breakneck challenges. That turns out to be enough.

Transformers Devastation is a good game that shows respect and love for the original Transformers. Developer Platinum Games has found the right look and feel, but it does forget to add variety to this game. The gameplay mechanics could have been more thought through as well.

Quantum Conundrum might look a lot like Portal, but the execution is wholly different thanks to the four dimensions that'll change the properties of the game world and all items in it. Unfortunately an interesting context for dropping the puzzle cubes in place is absent.

Lost Horizon doesn't really do anything wrong, but never surprises. The poorly animated characters don't do the beautiful art style and strong story justice. Additionally, the excellent help function and linear puzzles make the game overly simple, but sometimes it still feels a bit too clumsy.

Rocksmith doesn't replace guitar teachers, but it provides a fun learning method that helps develop your skills, especially for learning the basics of guitar and bass guitar. Even experienced shredders will have a good time with Rocksmith, which is educational software as well as a decent game.

Moon is often slow and frustratingly illogical. But look past the wrinkles of this long-forgotten game and you'll discover an adventure game that was in some ways way ahead of its time.

BioWare says its goodbyes in style. With their last DLC, Trespasser, they put all your favorite characters in the spotlight and they make us long for a new game sooner rather than later.

New Play Control! Pikmin is not only smart, but also a very fun addition for the Wii. The controls are almost perfect and that's what Pikmin is all about. We strongly recommend this title for every gamer that has never played a Pikmin game before, but also for every gamer with a little Pikmin heart. Even though the game is a little outdated it still feels like the game that the GameCube version should have been.

Infinite Warfare is a good game, but certainly not the best shooter of this fall.

Soul Sacrifice looks a little bit like Monster Hunter, but leans on completely different game mechanics. Being able to sacrifice you companions, your enemies and yourself make this a special, but estranging experience. Especially online it gets tense with the people in your team, because they have the ability to sacrifice you for a magical attack as well.

Xcom: Chimera Squad feels like a "my first XCom" in a way, where some important choices have been removed and you have to make do with characters the creators came up with. Invading spaces with your team combines chaos with choices, but takes away a lot of control.

Costume Quest is sweet and addictive like the sugary goodness the game is about, but sells itself short in terms of gameplay.

The writing is phenomenal, the combat flows like an action game, the game world is worth every square centimeter, and even the smallest stories are memorable. Avowed may not be a groundbreaking, dynamic RPG, but it knows exactly what it excels at and fully commits to it. The result is the best Microsoft RPG in years.

It's not necessary to go to LucasArts or Sierra for a bit of nostalgia. Kathy Rain is a great modern classic point-and-click adventure that fits perfectly in line with Blackwell, Gemini Rue and Shardlight.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel does not feel like a new game at all. Laserguns and the changed gravity do no really add much. Claptrap with his funny comments makes this game enjoyable.

The PlayStation Vita-variant is an emulation of the original Virtua Tennis. That means that it doesn't surprise, is once again packed with mini games and comes with a relatively expansive career mode. It even works better on a handheld. Virtua Tennis 4 is a decent launch game.

Take Clint Eastwood and Rango and put them in a blender and you get close to the shooter The Gunstringer. The game is a funny take on the Western-genre, with not only the graphics enjoyable but also solid gameplay. A Kinect-game that actually feels like a worthy addition to your collection.

A good game, but not the big new release that makes you feel like you’re playing on your next-gen console. There’s a lot of content here though thanks to all the added downloadable content and the new fighting system is worth the mention. For people who have played the original to death, there’s little on offer here to justify a second purchase.

The Adventures of Shuggy won't be remembered for its originality, but it's a surprisingly fun platform game, with a lot of stages and a hefty dose of variation applied to its game-mechanics that keep it fresh and interesting.

While XCOM: Enemy Unknown (2012) is a modern twist on the game UFO: Enemy Unknown (1994), Xenonauts is an exact copy of the classic that was released in 1994 – and that, we're happy about! Although the game looks much simpler than XCOM in terms of graphics, by remaining faithful to the original it is a lot more challenging and profound than the XCOM reboot. Unfortunately, faithful also means that it contains few original features. Nevertheless, it is a strong turn-based strategy title that mainly evokes a lot of nostalgic feelings.

The illustrations by J.J. Grandville make Aviary Attorney a unique game, especially as it is supported by the music of Camille Saint-Saens. Is it perfect? Not really, cause the game is way too short, simple and easy.

ZombiU is the perfect Wii U launch game for adult gamers: there's violence, monsters and it's actually quite scary. Because the death of your character is permanent and zombies are very hard to take down, playing ZombiU guarantees sweaty hands. The GamePad adds on to this experience by pulling you even further into the game world. ZombiU is scary, unique and only possible on the Wii U. Nintendo couldn't have wished for a better launch game.

We Were Here Together wants to be more than just a light-hearted co-op puzzle game. The narrative layer that this must bring, however, especially detracts from the puzzles, which are strongly designed and can stand on their own.
