A sidescrolling Assassin's Creed works fine, but Ubisoft starts working in a genre that is way more developed than Ubisoft is on that department. The graphic style is beautiful and if you'd like to have a more stealthy approach to Assassin's Creed, this is definitely a game for you.

Somewhere in Chorus is a very cool game full of spectacular dogfights in space. To get there, the player has to sit through a lot of long-winded and sci-fi jargon-laden dialogues. Whoever gets through this will be presented with a fantastically playing space combat simulator that remains fun throughout the game with a load of special powers. But if the story had gone down a notch, the rest of the game would have come into its own.

The biggest problem with Sniper Elite V2 is that the game doesn't invite players to actually play like a sniper. The lacking artificial intelligence and the auxiliary instruments at your disposal let you play the game like you're Rambo himself. The shooting is decent enough though, and it offers enough entertainment when actually trying to play it like a sniper. But thoroughness and exra additions would have gone a long way for this game.

New World is an mmo that could be straight out of 2010. It hardly adds any new ideas to the genre and therefore feels dated in content. The faction system offers interesting possibilities for wars between players, but is not yet balanced. New World demands a lot of time from its players, but does not actually give anything in return that we have not seen before. This game is an interesting twist on the well known SAO concept, that is not bad at all. Shooting enemies and collecting weapons is lots of fun, but everything else is a bit unstable. The AI and the loading screens are a real buzzkill.

Always Sometimes Monsters is an intellectual RPG-like variant in the Choose Your Own Adventure genre. Unfortunately, the game is not as clever as it wants to be. The ethical choices seem to have a big impact, but afterwards you find out you have only chosen from a limited number of flavors. Moreover, the annoying RPG Maker engine causes the real potential of the game to be absent.

Edge of Times has a strong sense of humor and good pacing. It's too bad the controls are lacking and the sense of freedom has been taken away.

Crysis 3 might look beautiful on PC, but the reality behind those pretty graphics is far less colorful. It simply doesn't run as smoothly as it could and many console-specific choices are too prevalent in the PC-version.
