Whether you're a die-hard Spidey fan or just looking for the next great action-fighting game, Edge of Time excels in every aspect of game design with solid combat, fun navigational puzzles, and one of the best cinematic presentations of any Spider-Man game to date.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is hardly flawless and really could have used more development time to turn a decent game (with an excellent design base) into a great one. It goes back to what 3-D Spider-Man games were like before Spider-Man 2 mandated atmosphere over interactivity, and it comes out a better game than it has any right to be given its abysmal production values. Instead of once again showing you what it feels like to have Spider-Man's responsibilities, Edge of Time goes back to inviting you to feel what it's like to be as powerful as him.

The combat sequences feel like afterthoughts and the story is ultimately a bore, boasting no memorable bosses or a reason to be told other than to bring the two Spideys together...sorta.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time tells an enjoyably absurd time-hopping tale, but stepping into the tights of its two heroes doesn't feel as empowering as it should.

The replay value is tied to your interest in collecting items like newspapers, action figures, golden spiders, and alternate costumes. The story will take roughly seven hours to complete, with the majority of your time spent crawling, climbing, and clobbering your way through an uninteresting environment that offers little interactivity.

Beenox falls short to the expectations that were created with Shattered Dimenions. The sequel to last year's decent Spidey game is short and feels extremely rushed.

Edge of Time fails to deliver a satisfying experience in both areas of gameplay and presentation. The short duration of the campaign and lack of replay value result in a game that can hardly be recommended for a rental.

Very smart concept of switching between spider-man in different timelines and seeing how they effect each other. Had a fair variety of different enemies but some felt quite similar to each other. The level design is okay but is still quite formulaic. The final boss fights was amazing and one of the best I have ever seen in a spider-man game- Future Peter Parker in a spider mech suit and Dr Octopus controlled by the Antivenom. Does feel like some of the game is padding at times. Expand

Even though I expected more from this title, this isn't a bad game, but there is a lot of room for improvement. Expand

Here it is even worse because you don't have the different variety of all the other Spider Men. Here you only have Spider Man 2099 and Amazing Spider Man. So you don't have the awesome stealth moments and cool atmosphere of the Noire Spider Man. Without him the game gets WAY to repetitive to quickly. The story is quite good and the voice acting is top notch but that doesn't make up for a pretty boring game. Expand
