Sharp graphics and subtle gameplay can’t disguise Knack for what it is: a shallow platformer with little personality. The story, music and the world don’t grab players and feel distant and sterile due to the American sauce that was mixed in. In a launch line-up filled with shooter violence, it stands out, but in a few months most will have probably forgotten Knack.

For those who always wanted to escape to an uninhabited island, Miasmata seems like an ideal game. Appearances can be deceiving though. The atmosphere might be very oppressive, but Miasmata also has a lot of shortcomings. The idea of exploring an island, looking for plants that can alleviate your fatal disease, is alluring. It ends up being a monotonous experience muddled by technical issues, that only exceeds in being special for having a unique concept.

Fat Princess looks delicious and, in theory, provides enough depth with her action-, RTS- and RPG-elements. But the game centers around cooperative team-play, and that doesn't happen too often when you play with other people. Most matches end up in a free-for-all where tactics aren’t anywhere to be found. On top of that your AI-teammates are dumb, the game suffers from bugs and lag and the Mage-class is far too powerful. Fat Princess just didn't become the game we wanted it to be.

With a beautiful, dream-like style Lucidity grabs you almost instantly. But while playing it slowly loses its grip. The concept knows too many flaws and irritations to keep you fascinated and the story is too minimal to provide a counterbalance.

SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 offers easy fun in a short single player campaign. However, the clunky controls and the overpowered A.I.-driven teammates do hamper the experience. The multiplayer mode is solid and extensive.

Unfortunately, London 2012 is nothing more than the Olympics for button bashers. The mix of quick-time events makes it somewhat less painful, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an unpolished game. There are decent aspects to it, but there's more to gain from the world's largest sporting event.
