With only two sports currently available, Wii Sports Club isn’t as robust an experience as it could be, but what is there will still keep players entertained for hours. With the promise of additional sports in the future, there’s a lot of potential for Wii Sports Club, and it’s easily worth a download for anyone who owns a Wii U.

Wii Sports Club is a mixed bag, with some good things and some bad things. Tennis is great, especially online, and baseball is nice too, while the new golf and bowling minigames don't shine as they could have and boxe is a complete mess.

As a golf experience, Wii Sports Club offers one of the most satisfying gameplay to date, thanks to the clever use of the GamePad and the precision of Wii Motion Plus controller. But it's no more the game you can pick and play to have fun with your friends and family, losing all the casual appeal that Wii Sports series had.

Six years later, Wii Sports finally goes online. It hasn't got everything you would expect from a 2014 online experience, but it's the usual good game for every kind of audience.

The business model and the online mode are the main new features and, while paying just for the games you're going to play seems fair, the online experience has not been smooth for us.

Rather than advancing upon the legacy of its predecessor, Wii Sports Club comes off more like an HD remake of the same old game with some additional motion plus and gamepad support. While this may have been a groundbreaking package eight years ago, today it feels altogether lackluster.

It was basically an enhanced version of Wii Sports. It's fun with friends or solo, and it includes a highly-requested online feature. But it does have a couple of flaws. The online play was really laggy (especially Tennis), and Golf was a little disappointing. But overall, this game is awesome and is worth the money. Expand

Sadly, my favorite mode, Boxing, is empty now, but I still have the memories with it. The online wasn't perfect, but it was unique among online games which mainly seem to be FPS games on other consoles. Plus the online was free, which Nintendo has abandoned sadly. What we're left with is the single player, which with rare exception, is not as good as the five sports from the original. Still though, it's special. And it's VALUE. Certainly one of the best first/second-party games on Wii U. This is still the most recent Wii Sports game at the time of writing. It's a shame that Nintendo and their fans don't understand why they need new Wii Sports games and why the Wii Sports series is good. Expand

The online is very fun, sure it can take a while to find people due to not many people playing this game, but the online matches I have played are fun and I have had very little issues about it. The UI and menus while bland, are very charming and have great remixes of old Wii Sports themes and great new music as well, the 5 sports are really fun as well. Sure they are just remakes of the original 5 sports from the original game, but it's fine. I think this really underutilized the GamePad though, they just shoved it in when it didn't really need to be added at all. Nintendo Land was able to use the GamePad in unique and creative ways, but this game lacks when it comes to using the GamePad. One of my other gripes about this game is it is a bit too overpriced, I think each sport should be worth 5$ not 10$, and another thing I don't like is the "HD" graphics, sure the target audience might not really care for the graphics, but the game, while it does look decent, it doesn't really deserve to have each sport be 10$, it just doesn't look HD at all it just looks like they used the original Wii Sports textures and just put them in the game, i'm not saying the game looks terrible, i'm just saying it shouldn't have "new HD graphics" be part of the marketing. My conclusion is, this is a good game, but I would rather you just get Nintendo Land because it is the better game, but if you still want to play bowling on your Wii U, you should just get Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort, and if you just want to play online just get Mario Kart 8 because even today the servers for that game is still fairly big even if most people moved on to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Don’t get this unless you don’t have the original Wii Sports. Wii Sports Club is a copy and paste of that

The improved graphics and motion controls aren't enough to make it worth buying this game again. Online multi-player is a nice add, but I've had several problems including being dropped from games, and the controls don't work as well in the online mode for some reason. I'm constantly having to re-calibrate. This should have been a re-imagined, big release and a big win for Nintendo. Instead it's a disappointment. Expand
