By creating an immersive and interesting world and story -with different endings- Triangle Strategy manages to captivate the player even though the battle system and the overall mechanics are nothing to write home about.

Romancing SaGa 2 continues the trend of excellent remakes of classic games. It modernizes the classic JRPG in many ways, making it approachable for newcomers while offering fans of the series a fantastic opportunity to enjoy it anew.

Alien: Rogue Incursion is a VR experience worthy of the franchise’s legacy. While it has a few rough patches, they don’t take away from the excellent atmosphere and story.

Machine Games has truly captured the essence of the first three films, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience. Troy Baker is fantastic as the titular hero, and the adventure is well-paced. However, as enjoyable as it is (and it really is), the problematic A.I. and some tedious exploration are hard to ignore.

The significance of the two Soul Reaver titles in this remaster cannot be overstated. However, they were games that showed their age. Thankfully, this remaster enhances the visuals and audio, making them more accessible to a newer audience while also they provide an opportunity for longtime fans to revisit these classic titles.

As its name implies this is an insane arcade racer that offers a kind of gameplay not so common these days. Flatout 4 is fun, crazy and enjoyable, albeit a bit repetitive in areas.

A typical, but well made 2D platformer with beautiful graphics that reminded us of games from the Yoshi and Donkey Kong Country series.

With improved visuals, an excellent selection of levels, and demanding yet addictive gameplay, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD remains one of the best platforming experiences. However, the lack of new content only heightens our long-overdue craving for a new Donkey Kong title.

The Inheritance of Crimson Manor may be brief, but it still offers enough clever puzzles and a great atmosphere to make it worthwhile.

A great mix of the Warriors gameplay and the universe of the Legend of Zelda franchise. The well-known (and quite repetitive) gameplay is present, but the magic of Nintendo truly shines and gives a breath of much needed fresh air.

A great successor to the original game and a decent addition to the “hunting” genre especially for those who look for something simpler than the Monster Hunter series.

On time to celebrate the 50 years of WRC Rally, WRC 10 is extremely similar to last year's iteration, but at the same time is packed with content and has the needed tweaks and improvements to make it worth the purchase.

It might have a cliffhanger ending, poorly developed party and multiple crashes in its MacOs/Linux version, but it is hard to argue that this is the best “bad guy” RPG we have ever seen. Impressive lore, deep storytelling, meaningful choices and beautifully crafted character development make this new gem from Obsidian yet another must play for RPG aficionados.

Shadow of Mordor expands the lore of the Lord of the Rings books in a respectful and great way and the Nemesis system is something that many developers should copy. There are some problems here, but the truth is that this is one of the best "Lord of the Rings" games ever made.

The level design in F.I.S.T. belongs to these excellent metroidvania games where there is just pure joy in exploration. The developer has great knowledge on what makes the genre tick, but at the same time they seem to be a bit “shy” when it comes to any form of innovative idea that would truly make them excel. Nevertheless, this is a must for fans of metroidvanias.

If you can overlook the dated graphics and some bugs, in Blackguards 2 you'll find a great tactical RPG, true to the spirit of "The Dark Eye' franchise.

Unbound does not try to dazzle you with its visuals or gameplay ideas, but it doesn’t really need to. It’s more than enough that it provides familiar abilities albeit executed cleverly and platforming with high levels of challenge, but being fair at the same time.

Deathloop is another hit from the talented Arkane Studios, albeit with some noticeable shortcomings. It’s especially peculiar that the A.I. is -simply put- bad, considering that Prey and especially Dishonored 2 where some of the highest quality games in this aspect. Nevertheless, the loop system where we live the same day again and again is cleverly implemented and utilized leading to an unforgettable and unique experience.

It is the MediEvil you remember (and probably love) from 1998, albeit with updated visuals and sound, a new camera system and a superb art direction. Some problems from the past -like the sometimes awkward camera- have somehow managed to find their way into this release as well, but the same can be said for the charming and unique gameplay and aesthetic that oozes from this game.

Kaze and the Wild Masks is 10% a nostalgic trip to platformers of the 16-bit era and 90% an ode to Donkey Kong Country from the SNES. It is full of charm, with a vibrant and detailed pixel art and with simplistic, albeit satisfying gameplay. Fans of linear 2D platformers that focus on platforming could not find a safer option for their next purchase.

The Enhanced version of The Wizards is an absolute joy to play. It has a great movement system with zero locomotion, the gesture-based battle is fabulous and the overall art direction and graphics are superb. We had some major issues when the game was losing track of the Move Controllers, but besides that, this is one of the best ways to feel like a true spellcaster.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights comes forth as a deep enough 2D action-RPG but not as hard challenging as Hollow Knight, dressed in an ever beloved Dark Fantasy theme with haunting piano melodies and souls-like boss fights, ticking every essential Metroidvania boxes that fans of the genre crave for in this polished and joyful played production.
