While these days many RPGs are attempting to change the old-school formula and divorce themselves from traditional RPG lineage, XS EP3 stays true to the formula but through fantastic dungeons, two great and very different battle systems, and a fast-paced 30 hour adventure that’s lacking in filler (so you basically get the same story that’d be in a 60-70 hour normal RPG with random filler plots), it creates a game that’s every bit as fresh as the best non-traditional RPGs. While its slower adventure game style pacing and low difficulty may throw off a certain crowd, Okami’s charming world with its nice fairy tale story, great gameplay, and incredible graphics will give most an experience likely to be remembered for decades. It has an excellent battle system, more variety than almost any game out there, great graphics, and an interesting story. The title isn't perfect though. The story lacks a bit of cohesiveness and the auto-camera still can't seem to track everything that's going on. [JPN Import]

Unlike 99% of games, in Ryu Ga Gotoku you play as a guy who is pretty much the coolest, most badass, most likeable character in the world. He's the ultra strong guy with a heart of gold; the suave guy whom everyone wants to be friends with. Revenant Wings offers some fresh gameplay for the mammoth RPG series and while the dominant RTS element may not be for everyone, it’s certainly been simplified a lot to offer a good 30 entertaining hours or so.

Has everything an action game fan would like: Incredible relentless gameplay, great graphics, and this time a bunch of new features including playing as the powerful Vergil.

This is Soul Calibur at its best. Any fan of Soul Calibur is going to love this game, I am assured of that.

The game also has a high level of replayability because everytime you play any of the stages, the shapes and enemies never come out in the same sequence or places. One of the major new additions to the series that really sets Double Agent apart from the rest is the branching storyline. Not only is the story eons better than the past games in both presentation and writing, but you actually get to change the course of what happens for better or worse.

The game provides the perfect amount of depth mixed with some of the best visuals seen on a console and tops them off a whole lot of fun. At budget price, Table Tennis is a game that should be in every X360 owner’s library.

Oh and if you were wondering about the sound, well it’s amazingly just as polished as the graphics.

It’s a flawed great game. The battle system is fast and fun, yet it’s a bit simple and repetitive. The license board provides non-linear character growth, yet there aren’t that many ways to raise the characters. The towns feel alive and outdo anything to date, yet the dungeons feel all too similar and repetitive. [JPN Import]

The graphics of GoW II are just as beautiful as ever with some of the best art direction in a game to date.

Although Guilty Gear Judgment was recently released in the U.S., it's well worth paying a little more to get the import, since the U.S. version contains Guilty Gear XX #Reload, the previous entry, instead of Guilty Gear XX Slash.

Isn’t it about time we stop judging graphics solely on realism and clarity and take a look at the visual continuity and overall artistic craftsmanship? Extremely skilled artists worked day and night for years to create this world and they definitely succeeded in every way.

While it lasts, it’s some of the best platforming to date and features what I consider to be the best Nintendo DS graphics to date. While it’s a shame the new power-ups are frills and the length of the main game is ridiculously short, it’s hard not to recommend it.

Daxter is the most technically impressive game on the PSP and delivers and extremely fun platforming experience that could be the best in Naughty Dog’s history.

It plays mostly like the first, so if you liked it you’ll love this one.

By all means for you SRPG fans out there pick this game up! I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed! I myself have still yet to clear this game and it seems that there will be more than enough volume left to satisfy the casual to the hardcore gamers. It features great old-school RPG gaming, a cool graphic style, nice sceneries are times and it’s just plain fun to play.

When you kill an enemy it doesn't disappear and when you blow up part of the near fully destructible environments the pieces don't go away either. The obvious power of the PS3 and the masterful coding work of the developers let everything stay on screen all the time while never taking a frame hit. Overall in terms of game play Sonic Rush offers great Sonic game play with evolutionary changes that really were needed to make the series feel fresh again.

The game has a great story, one of my favorite stories in a game, offers fun RPG gameplay, so it's a great game for just about every RPG fan, or at least people who loved this game before.

If you like FPS games on consoles, great immersion, true nextgen graphics, variety in single player, fun smooth multiplayer, and everything else good listed above then you’re going to want to at least rent this 15 hour classic.

Next generation graphics, huge improvements on all fronts from its predecessors, a 40 hour main storyline, and 100s of hours of side quests make this an RPG gamer’s dream come true.

Take one part classic Call of Duty scripted FPS action, add in two parts improved level design, another one part updated graphics, and just about four parts upgraded multiplayer and you’ve got the ultimate Call of Duty stew.

Motorstorm is pretty much the best off-road driving simulation ever to grace a console. The physics are so accurate, yet altered for arcade like effect, and feel so right that the development team must have had at least a couple Physics PhD’s on staff to pull off such a feat. [JPN Import]

The title may be a little too story heavy for some (the gameplay/story ratio is about 30/70), but otherwise the game is just what the PSP needed and hopefully a sign of what’s to come in terms of the system’s rpg future. The biggest unique feature to the online component of DOA 4 is definitely the psychedelic crack land known as the lobby...The lobby is so strange and so far removed from what DOA is visually that you really feel like the developers went a bit mad at some point and threw this in for a laugh and a half.

What’s amazing about the multiplayer portion is the co-op. Not only is it completely unique content, but it mixes the greatness of the single player with the amazing new online competitive mode.

At the end of the day Bleach should have been the best fighting game to ever grace a portable, but there's just one major sticking point keeping it away from that goal: the d-pad. [JPN Import]

Unlike certain other X360 games that feel short and rushed for the launch window, Burnout Revenge has gameplay and replay value packed in spades.

This is an A+ racer with new twists that will keep hardcore racers as well as Tony Hawk fans entertained for many hours both online and offline.

From the beautifully modeled and textured aircraft, to the expansive ground below, everything looks incredible for a PSP game. Explosions look natural, cutscenes are well choreographed, and the anime art looks as good as ever.

Another GTA added on to and upgraded. If you like GTA then you will like this game. If you’re tired of the series then maybe you should sit this one out.

A solid title that uses the Wiimote and Nunchuk controls extremely well. If you're not in it for the offline 4 player multiplayer, which isnt all that great, or the level building then this is probably a rental. Sporting incredible visuals and gameplay incredibly similar to the older Gradius games, a Gradius fan or even just a casual Shmup fan should love this.

Like Cereal, Fireteam Bravo can be had at any course of the day no matter the event. Though the graphical glitches may leave the player dissatisfied with the quality, there is nothing wrong and you have to understand that it was made that way for a longer gameplay experience to benefit from.

Fans who played through Ridge Racer 6 will have to decide if six new tracks, a new soundtrack, slipstreaming, and car customization makes the game worth buying "again." Regardless, there's no denying that Ridge Racer 7 is a solid, fun arcade racer.

While the lack of modes and a some weak AI (Career Mode tends to be fairly easy) keeps Fight Night Round 3 from being a system seller, multiplayer is a blast and with millions of opponents online waiting to fight in the ring, the replay value of FNR3 is pretty high.

Final Fantasy VI Advance may not offer as much as previous re-releases of FF titles in terms of extras but, it's still a classic to play through. [JPN Import]

Best of all, the game is portable and gives gamers the chance to sit down and re-experience (or experience for the first time) one of the greatest titles known to man.

The lack of Infrastructure mode was a bummer, but the great single-player mode more than made up for the lackings.

Whether you want to play for 18 hours or 15 minutes, the game is designed to accommodate to the hardcore and the moderate gamer.

With a huge multiplayer online component and a well constructed single player game Syphon Filter is a must play PSP game. I’m hesitant to say must buy due to the control problems, the sound technical issues, and the retarded AI but other than those issues it’s a solid outing for 989 Studios.

The short animated letter boxed movies spread out throughout the story are smooth and look crisp for the DS but, performances were varied for the two actors who were taking on voice acting for the very first time.

Remains a classic refreshment to the way RPGs are played and anyone who has yet to play this should give it a shot. If you already own a previous version of this game, I don’t think the full voice acting and fifty extra illustrations are really enough to justify another copy unless you’re a hardcore fan of Riviera. No matter which version you have, it’s a great replayable RPG to add to your proud collection of games.

The most fun I had with the entire game is through the simple action of extorting businesses across all the areas of the game.

As an old school playing, level grinding, strategy-requiring rpg, Gundam True Odyssey may scare off those looking for an easy ride. Make no doubt about it, TO is a very challenging game. [JPN Import]

The whole presentation of the game reeks of "acid trip" and I guess this was the intention of the producer. But still the original intention of a suitable tactical game is present and is a pleasure to spend my hours playing.

Possibly one of the greatest titles ever released on the Nintendo DS system.

Does a great job of replicating the magic of the two PS2 titles on the PSP system. Due to the controls and the repetitive level design, the game won't be stealing the spotlight of the PS2 titles, but at the same time it's still a great game that can now be played on the go. [JPN Import]

Boktai DS is a fun little ARPG presented in pretty much the same fashion as the previous GBA games but, with the introduction of the new weather and team system, the game has added depth to it. [JPN Import]

So the real fun of the game is when you’re playing as Mario and you tap A to switch dimensions. Dead ends suddenly become open roads as you swap between a flat wall and a paper thin backdrop. This really shows off the great 2D art and kills the 3D presentation. [JPN Import]

It's a great no-brainer game that's nice to sit and play while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and some cookies. It's definitely not a game for those that don't already enjoy the odd quirkiness of the newer Nintendo games that have been coming out. [JPN Import]

A great game that might not be pushing the DS visually, yet it's filled with great gameplay featuring deep tank battles and fast-paced action sections. No doubt, it will put a smile on your face for the ten hours or so that it lasts. [JPN Import]

A few things may shock people as being non-tetris, but these days nothing can be non-tetris as Tetris lives in all of us.

The only feature of the DS used is the double screens, and it's used pretty well too. I wouldn't want it any different.

Although the plot wasn’t a very outstanding feature, the gameplay outside and within battles remain strong and clearly define the game.

It’s literally an Action-RPG with Harvest Moon elements. Not to mention the atmosphere of the game is very well created with the feeling that you actually are in a world of dinosaurs and there is a chance you will die.

No other game comes close to Nintendogs in its field. Just don’t go in expecting the be all and end all that the mass media attention would have you to believe and you should enjoy this game for what it is.

A really well presented game with entertaining scenarios despite being a port from over a decade ago. RPG players and anyone else who has to yet to play these classics should have a fun time watching the story being played out. Tony Hawk 8 is an incredible upgrade for the series but at the same time it lacks in some areas. Create-A-Park is gone, Create-A-Skate has been downplayed a lot, some things are a bit too easy, and finally the whole world feels a bit stale.
