If looks could kill, DOA4 would be called Murderer's Row. This game is beautiful; even while you're beating the tar out of your opponent, you'll notice that your surroundings are among the finest you've seen in any fighting game... Hands down the best installment in the series. [Jan 2006, p.38]
  2. So, Dead or Alive 4 has it all: sexy looks, sexy women, sexy sound, sexy gameplay, sexy online play, sexy... you get the picture.
  3. Most definitely a game that carries the "easy to play, difficult to master" label, but is well worth mastering in the long run.
  4. Dead or Alive games used to be all about huge, bouncing breasts and overly simplistic, easy to pick up gameplay. No longer. DOA shall henceforth be known for huge, bounding breasts and a refined and deep fighting system.
  5. 85
The legs are long, the sex is gratuitous, and the violence is very, very violent. DOA 4 is definitely firing on all pistons. Still, for a series with the word "alive" on the box cover, these characters all seem kind of plastic, hollow, heartless, and downright bloodless.
  6. The disturbing difference is the 360’s much-vaunted graphics. Hair tosses silkily; veins stand out muscularly; bosoms jounce, waft and settle gravity-defyingly.
  7. If you're planning on playing the single-player much, it's an abomination, and you shouldn't touch it with a bargepole; and on Xbox Live, it's simply so flawed as to be unplayable in anything other than a basic 1v1 lobby, which arguably makes it into a pretty poor investment unless you have a friends list teeming with people who want to play.

The best D.O.A. yet and a really well rounded fighting game for those of you who like to kick some butt.

it's an option if you have an Xbox, a great fighting game.
It's a challenge that you have to train enough to beat or maybe try your luck XD.

It's simply the greatest fighting games since Tekken 3, or Soul Calibur. This is coming from a guy who would have rated DOA 1-3 as 6's and called them just mediocre. The fighting has been tightened and deepend so much as to allow it to actually stand as a real game instead of just fluff, and it is the first 360 game that really seems like it could not be done on a previos generation console. Best 360 game out right now, in my opinion.

This isSkip to any other Dead or Alive game over this one if you just wat single player. The extremely scripted and automated I.A is trash. This is not a great challenge when the I.A can counter 90% of the time oven when your attack does no connect. If you can play it Online or Local with a friend it can be a fun experience. Any other DOA game is far more balanced when it comes to I.A, and can be beaten without you resorting to cheap tactics just to see the endings; that for the most part are irrelevant to the story. I see this one as the weakest in the series. Expand

It can make anyone so rageous that household gets new look in no-time. badest is that the AI players can do anything in snap, they respond everything at inhuman speed and percise, and story/time-attack allwys stays stuck in middle and last opponent, For some weird freaking supernatural Hitting speed. At time, ive ALMOST destroyed a tv, One 1000-paged book to my head, friend Destroyed one controller because i won him 3 imes, and friend won 11 times, My arms hurt for he will to hit first thing that comes into way when playing any 1P mode. The system is way too complex to do EVERYTHING in blink of an eye, all grabs and hrows i made have been success only because it was an accident. And if you try to still get back on your feet after 13-hit combo that ai makes, you can doubt the fact you ket KO:d in instant second you get up.

IF temco is gonna make DOA5, then they should think twice to make game that only annoys people, it would be fun if it REALLY would have so-great defence system what they say in backcover - infact, you can´t defend at all. Lose the putton for millsecond, and youre ko:d, again. thanks a lot team ninja, for giving more pain!
