One of the best jRPGs out now. It breaks every rule, goes back to the roots of the genre, and incorporates battle and customization systems that far exceed anything else the genreās thrown to gamers so far.
-
MS Saga: A New Dawn can be completely compelling once you let it sink its hooks into you, promising at least a good 40 hours of gameplay and some cool replay bonuses.
-
Play MagazineMS Saga: A New Dawn, while graphically sound isn't on par with the likes of Grandia 3, Dragon Quest VIII, or the forthcoming Final Fantasy XII. [Mar 2006, p.43]
-
MS Saga looks and feels dated, but it makes good use of the license and manages to deliver a decent--if unremarkable--role-playing experience.
-
I remain unimpressed by MS Saga: A New Dawn as well as the Gundam series it's based upon. While Bandai has crafted a playable game with some points of enjoyment, the majority of its content is extremely dull and flat.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineMS Saga succeeds in creating one of the first truly accessible Gundam experiences while still giving the hardcore fans a reason to play. [Mar 2006, p.87]
-
A game with no surprises and a superficial combat model, but giant robot fetishists and long-time series fans at least have one less reason to complain.
