Blind Fate: Edo no Yami stems from an intriguing concept that reworks mythology and folklore of feudal Japan to transport them into a dystopian future populated by bloodthirsty machines. Its blind protagonist is a truly remarkable gimmick, especially once placed in such a context. That said, in the field of game design there are too many problems overlapping one another, starting from the cumbersome controls and the perceptible input lag, up to an imperfect management of the checkpoints and the absence of explanations on the very functioning of fundamental mechanics. It's really a shame, because the art direction is certainly as good as the soundtrack.- Everyeye.it

The underlying concept is delightful and its application is applause: there is a lot, a lot of inventiveness in the way in which always new and stimulating situations are proposed, daughters of a creative inspiration that embellishes what is still very effectively. a basic play structure, but not for this thin one. It lacks depth, but it is a defect that weighs relatively, because in what it wants to do, celebrating with joy the most fervent imagination, the childish one, is instead fully successful; and with such a transport that it also reaches us who are mature.- Everyeye.it

Metal Hellsinger is a very fun shooter to play and with a remarkable soundtrack but the quality of the title The Outsider does not go hand in hand with the quantity and it takes very little to see everything that the adventure starring the Unknown has to offer . In short, this is an unmissable hellish journey for FPS and heavy metal fans, but it is difficult for you to want to extend your stop among the demons after reaching the credits. In any case, the game will also be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch and is a perfect product for those who decide to experience this heavy metal-based adventure through the Microsoft service.- Everyeye.it

Broken Pieces is a project created by a software house still in its infancy, an adventure that unfortunately has proved problematic on several fronts. Net of the pleasant setting that is the background to the events narrated, the plot fails to involve the player, most of the puzzles are uninteresting and repetitive and the combat phases are nothing more than a filler that tires already at the second meeting with the opponents, all equal to each other. In short, unless you are satisfied with a walk in a beautiful French town, Broken Pieces does not have much to offer, not even for fans of the reference genre.- Everyeye.it

Lego Brawls is an extremely basic and easy to learn platform fighting game, which does not shine for its combat system or for the level design of the gaming arenas. The title inherits the limits of a production born on Apple Arcade and then transferred to PC and console. However, thanks to the immediacy of the matches and the simplicity of the gameplay mechanics, it could be able to give some carefree fun at least to fans of the iconic bricks but, let's be clear, not for a long time.- Everyeye.it

Splatoon 3 is confirmed as a title in full continuity with its predecessors, supported by a formula that, seven years after the debut of the series, has not lost a drop of its bursting effectiveness. With an immediate, atypical and hilarious gameplay, the Nintendo title overwhelms players with a barrage of high-intensity multiplayer battles, at the center of a competitive proposal that, net of its undoubted qualities, would certainly have benefited from the '' introduction of more significant innovations, also on the purely content front. The improvements on the side of the "quality of life" of the users are welcome, mind you, so so are the additions to the paraphernalia, the catalog of skills and the list of maps, but a little courage could have opened up the exclusivity the doors of excellence. As for the single player sector, however, not all the changes made to the offer have fully convinced us, although the overall balance still stands at more than positive values. In short, if you loved the first two Splatoon, this sequel will not struggle to conquer you, and in case you have never splatted in company ... well, maybe it's time to think about it.- Everyeye.it

Steelrising could and should have been Spiders' test of maturity, but unfortunately the French studio was unable to hit the target even on this round. Although the developer has come up with some appreciable and in some cases brilliant ideas, it is their realization that is not convincing in the least, as different mechanics upset the system and create an annoying imbalance between the balance of the various categories of weapons. If we add to this the usual woody animations that the Spiders action RPG have in common, the final result is an imperfect and incomplete product in several respects. On the flip side, Steelrising enjoys a whimsical and inspired narrative framework, that in the twenty hours needed to reach the end credits easily captures the attention and above all the curiosity of the player.- Everyeye.it

By expanding the roster of playable characters and the number of fighters that can be dragged on the front line, the guys at WANIN International have endowed Dusk Diver 2 with a pleasant strategic component completely absent in the first episode. However, instead of conceiving a new growth system reasoned and designed specifically for the team, the studio has kept the leveling system of the original, which allowed you to manually intervene on the parameters of the Yang Yumo alone. Being shared among the various members of the gang, the experience points accumulated through the clashes are not sufficient to simultaneously improve the fighters available to the player, who is often forced to focus on one or two heroes to cope with a balance of difficulty to be reviewed. at most, neglecting the remaining three. Compared to the progenitor, Dusk Diver 2 has in short made some appreciable steps forward, but the road to perfect the formula of the saga and express its full potential would still seem long.- Everyeye.it

Ultimately, Jojo All Star Battle R is a title that can entertain for a long time, but with numerous reservations: if you are a JoJo fan and want to have fun in single or with friends locally, this product will offer you a gigantic roster, with iconic characters and animated with extreme care, moved by a simple and intuitive combat system. But if you are looking for a deep multiplayer experience, especially online, you better look elsewhere. The remaster operation is overall appreciable, but the unjustified absence of a netcode at the height heavily undermines the entire gaming experience.- Everyeye.it

If the great TMNT: Shredder's Revenge still hasn't quenched your hunger for ninja turtles, with The Cowabunga Collection prepare yourself for indigestion: Digital Eclipse has done a really good job in re-adapting 13 products that have made the history of the Konami series. Some titles have aged well, others a little less (especially the GameBoy ones). In short, for all those teenagers who grew up at the turn of the eighties and nineties with the myth of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello, it is a recommended purchase but some might turn up their noses at the launch price of this collection, proposed at 40 euros.- Everyeye.it

F1 Manager 2022 is a fun title with surprisingly high production values. The managerial management is deep to the right point, without ever becoming overwhelming or unnecessarily complex and some goodies such as the samples of the radio teams will surely make all fans happy. It is difficult to find real faults in what there is and it is rather what is not there that leaves a bad taste in the mouth: it is in fact impossible to change excuses, create your own team, or compete in multiplayer, to do some examples. These absences could seriously undermine the longevity of the experience and there is a risk that after a few seasons the game could become boring. Ultimately F1 Manager 2022 leaves us the feeling that the software house wanted to do a few things, but do them well and lay the foundations for a possible (and probable) annual series. If we want to evaluate it in this light, the experience leaves us extremely optimistic for the future, but at present - it is clear - we would have liked to have fun with some more content.- Everyeye.it

Crazy shootings, a successful script that mixes comedy with clichés, and last but not least, a graphic restoration of the highest level, make Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed an excellent remake that we are convinced will be able to entertain both those who have already loved the saga, as well as the players who have never approached it before. Unfortunately the title suffers from a somewhat repetitive mission structure typical of the open world of sixteen years ago, but overall it still manages to engage the user thanks to an immediacy that has become damn rare these days.- Everyeye.it

This Re-Pac of that game that had a moderate success more than twenty years ago proves to be mostly aimed at nostalgics of the original title, eager to get their hands on one of their first playful experiences on the historic PlayStation, which can therefore be satisfied from the new Bandai-Namco proposal. Those who have not already felt an immeasurable affection for Pac-Man World for some time will not find in the Re-Pac a useful reason to rediscover this little gem of the past, yet another demonstration of how much the world of video games has evolved since that distant 1999.- Everyeye.it

Digimon Survive is an experiment that is only half successful, as when determining the narrative and role-playing and strategic components of the hybrid, the developers have allocated insufficient space to the latter. The result is a dark and mature visual novel, which however we would like to recommend only to the most avid fans of the genre, due to the exhausting long-winded dialogues and excessive repetitiveness that characterize this type of product. If, on the other hand, you are looking for adrenaline and the collectible component typical of the brand, you had better turn your attention to the much more deserving episodes of the Digimon Story series.- Everyeye.it

After two years to forget, Madden NFL seems to have embarked on the road to redemption, with a playable homage to the great John Madden. The new additions to the gameplay and the advances made by the AI, give the series a new dimension, as well as the Franchise mode that has finally been fixed. There are several areas to fix, however, and our feeling is that EA Tiburon has not yet managed to really exploit the power of the next-gen.- Everyeye.it

The Saints Row reboot offers a fun experience, made even more varied by the numerous Criminal Enterprises and capable of bestowing smiles, given the presence of crazy weapons to discover and out of the ordinary Skills. In addition to the journey of brotherhood at the base of the story, the real element that pushes to extend the stay in Santo Ileso is the boundless customization, which will allow you to have the last word on the look of characters, weapons, cars and the Saints HQ. Anchored in some ways to stylistic features of the past, the latest Volition effort is affected by some critical issues both on the playful and purely graphic front and more generally fails to make the series reach new evolutionary peaks. That said, if you're a lover of chaos and easygoing, manageable criminal travels, get ready to end the summer with a bang.- Everyeye.it

It is certainly not a novelty that a tender palletta famous for gulping down enemies or Bon Bon, can be greedy, but this time Kirby exceeds expectations: Kirby's Dream Buffet presents itself as a party game that proudly rests on a gastronomic dimension. Through a four-course menu, you will roll, bounce and immerse yourself in a contest of sponge cake and burgers, trying to conquer as many strawberries as possible. It would be more exciting if there was the possibility to customize the Kirbys of the secondary players or if other mini-games were also included in the path, to make the tasting even more varied. "Vote die you"? No. But as an alternative to other games it is inspired by, it leaves a sweet, soft feeling, less of contention and more of feasting. We advise against playing it on an empty stomach.- Everyeye.it

Red Matter 2 is the perfect sequel to the first chapter from both a narrative and a technical point of view. The performance on Oculus Quest 2 is excellent and the graphics sector is sensational, so much so as to make this title better than many PCVR projects with more hardware resources available. The story proceeds with many more surprises than that of the predecessor and unfolds in different scenarios, presenting some new mechanics at their best. While it proved problematic in specific shooting stages, the gameplay as a whole is rich and offers several hours of fun and wonder for both VR novices and veterans alike. If you have played the progenitor of the series, know that this sequel may surprise you, thanks to a dystopian sci-fi universe at times surprising.- Everyeye.it

Midnight Fight Express is an adrenaline-pumping brawler that gives the player considerable freedom of approach. Given their short duration, the levels are faced again without thinking too much, perhaps to take advantage of new skills or to get better ratings. The plot is clearly reduced to the bone and the technical profile reveals the limits of production but we are still faced with a product capable of teasing fans of the genre, without a shadow of a doubt.- Everyeye.it

ATLUS managed to surprise us again. Drawing on a hybrid system between Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, the studio has packaged an articulated and galvanizing role-playing experience, which has nothing to envy to the best JRPGs of recent years. If the Tregenda proved to be an excellent alternative to the now classic All-Out-Attack, embellishing and renewing an already articulated and profound combat system such as the "Press Turn" System, the Demonic Reconnaissance has instead been able to significantly streamline the exploratory component, as well as the collection of funds, materials and the recruitment of new Demons. On the flip side, the cross-gen nature and an inorganic artistic direction prevented the product from aiming for excellence, demonstrating once again how much ATLUS needs to improve in terms of graphics and performance. Ultimately Soul Hackers 2 may not be the new Persona 5, but that's just fine.- Everyeye.it

There is nothing that can entice and stimulate the player to face the twenty hours needed to complete the full-bodied adventure of Lost Epic. The component that works best, the action formula, is also the thinnest, and certainly not enough to bear the weight of the whole experience. The other areas of the gameplay unfortunately only weigh it down further, mechanical accomplices not well implemented and useless trappings. In short, these are the reasons why this 2D action rpg has been trapped in the limbo of mediocrity.- Everyeye.it

Rollerdrome is a small product and the low price does not fully justify the speed with which you can reach the credits. Despite being designed to be replayed several times, the Roll7 title does not have the necessary prerequisites to encourage users to spend a lot of time in the available levels or thanks to the endgame mode. That said, we are talking about a splendid pastime with a very effective core gameplay, capable of driving crazy even those who are not used to approaching experiences of this type.- Everyeye.it

Thymesia proposes a soulslike formula with different ideas of value, but ultimately clearly shows the inexperience of a team at the beginning, which struggles to bear the weight of its ambitions. Although it has solid foundations, the formula developed by Overborder shows some lightness too much, in the frame of a product that fails to manifest a truly convincing stylistic identity. Although not particularly generous in terms of content, the work of the Taiwanese team still remains a fun title, able to offer fans a handful of hours of fighting fun.- Everyeye.it

Net of some annoying bugs, Way of the Hunter is a simulation that certainly knows how to satisfy hunting enthusiasts, giving them a journey into the wilderness that allows them to take multiple approaches to take down elusive prey and almost always convincing behaviors. At the same time, we are talking about a great exercise of patience, to be used both when the long hunts do not lead to the desired results, and during the campaign mode which, given its playful structure, did not turn out to be as interesting as we hoped.- Everyeye.it

Arcade Paradise is practically a matryoshka, because inside a superstructure of managerial inspiration it puts many different experiences, both on the playful and purely artistic front. He does it in a convincing way, also thanks to his ability to know how to wink at long-time players and the many small tributes to the 90s. The problem, however, is that this superstructure becomes almost negligible after a few hours, because it lacks significant novelties and interesting variables. In any case, if you are nostalgic for arcades and want to spend time in a laundry full of virtual worlds, give Arcade Paradise a peaceful chance.- Everyeye.it

Lost in Play is a point and click adventure made with irreverent non-sense comedy, of intuitive puzzles and puzzles that are not particularly stimulating, but layered enough to make you spend a handful of hours of fun. The most enjoyable stages are the mini-challenges, which will challenge you with some of the most unique and challenging puzzles. While not representing the pinnacle of the genre, however, the title of Happy Juice Games is an intriguing and ironic dip into creativity and imagination, an interactive cartoon for lovers of the most bizarre and grungy animated comedies.- Everyeye.it
