Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is one of the best shooters of this generation. The game has steel-solid mechanics, top gen graphics and an incredible multiplayer. PC Version is slightly over the top, thanks to graphical improvements and a better control scheme.

Assassin's Creed 2 is miles away form the first chapter. It's a whole new game, different in many aspects. The main quest is involving and nice to play, and the number of side mission and extra activities is impressive (and all of them are fun to play). The setting is peculiar and unique, and the panoramic views are sharp and, somehow, magic.

Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course is the best possible set for Studio MDHR's creature. The new stages are incredibly curated and introduce completely new gameplay mechanics and situations, which blend perfectly with the offer of the base game. And what about Miss Chalice, with her new abilities that - in addition to expanding the playful possibilities of the experience - allow a wider audience to get closer to the Cuphead shootings. In short, in this DLC nothing has been left to chance and it shows, because The Delicious Last Course is always Cuphead but better, if possible.

NBA 2K12 is simply the best sports simulation ever made. Visual Concept add freshness and a nostalgic feeling to the game with "The Greatest" mode and, in a totally unexpected way, changed the gameplay completely. Now NBA 2K12 is pure NBA basketball in your very hands.

Monolith Soft shows the western market that JRPGs are far from extinct. The open world is simply stunning, the depth of the combat system will keep you engaged, and there's so much to explore. The story is not as good, and some dialogue not very well written, but the overall experience feels just amazing.

We certainly appreciated both the expansion of the explorable scenarios, as well as that of the environmental enigmas that mark the progression, among the meshes of a world capable of kidnapping the senses in a continuous succession of breathtaking views. In short, net of some small roughness, the latest work by Santa Monica Studio has given us an extraordinary experience, destined to leave an indelible mark in the collective memory of the videogame audience. we certainly appreciated both the expansion of the explorable scenarios, as well as that of the environmental enigmas that mark the progression, among the meshes of a world capable of kidnapping the senses in a continuous succession of breathtaking views. Arkham City is a masterpiece. The improved free-flow combat system and various new gadgets contribute to brilliant gameplay, while a complex screenplay delivers a breathtaking experience. But it's the number and the characterization of villains and personalities that stand as an incredible surplus value.

Street Fighter 6 is the new milestone of the genre. A mass of content never seen in fighting games, two distinct single player modes and an experimental and innovative online component. All seasoned with a dry and harmonious combat system, perfectly balanced in every part. Capcom's latest effort is an essential purchase for anyone who wants to approach fighting games. So it's time to put on your kimono and step back into the ring: the King of fighting games is back!

The experience of the first LostWinds has been left unaffected, with a perfect balance between gameplay, graphics and sound. The sequel is even better: it may lack the original sense of wonder, but anyway it delivers a fun and rewarding experience, as it requires both mental effort and a good eye to pad coordination. This with a technical compartment which stands tall, due to the magnificent design and a enchanting melodies. Frontier has delivered another gem, the best WiiWare title and one of the better for the Wii.

Believe it or not, we struggled to find any flaws in Supergiant Games' latest offering. Hades 2 is a masterful game in every way: the sheer amount of content is breathtaking, the character designs are a feast for the eyes, and the gameplay boasts a depth that puts most roguelikes currently on the market to shame. So if you enjoy the genre, you simply have no excuse: you absolutely must play it.

God of War has changed. This new Nordic chapter transforms the series into an impressive action/adventure, allowing us to rediscover the value of exploration. Yet the soul of God of War is still intact: and emerges, in all its imperious power, during the brutal fights and the violent clashes. As the main story progresses and the optional contents unfolds, God of War affirms itself as one of the most dense, surprising and rich adventure of the last three generations. It overwhelms the market with a force that leaves you speechless.

If Alan Wake was an introspective, crepuscular and dreamlike thriller, Jesse Fayden's adventure adheres more decisively to the logic of genre, recovering (from House of Leaves as well as from the Area X Trilogy) a sprawling, obsessive narrative, in a strongly intimate and in any case allusive science fiction.

That Days Gone Remastered offers a great show in Unreal Engine is evident, but net of some graphic differences, such as the improved rendering of the night sections, we can also say the same of the original incarnation of the game. Without mincing words, the two versions of the open world adventure are certainly not identical but remain comparable. Having said this, Deacon fans might find the new Horde Assault mode interesting, which allows you to experience the highest gaming merits of the production in a few minutes, between hunting large groups of Freakers - now larger than ever! - roaring escapes on motorcycles and many main and support death tools to use in battle. Those who have always wanted to get closer to Days Gone and have not been able to do so until now, could seriously consider the offer of the remastered edition: it still offers the most valid and complete way to experience a great adventure of the PS4 era, set in an Oregon as rich in charm as it is lethal.

The impact of the new textures and a revised lighting system in almost every part allows you to appreciate the adventures of the Witcher par excellence like never before, with a cinematic cut made even more effective by the addition of Ray Tracing and with unprecedented fluidity choosing to opt for the performance mode. Wisely selected the mods produced by the community, and equally effective those created from scratch to rejuvenate the most obsolete mechanics of the original game, which now benefits from a fresher and more dynamic interaction system and a close-up view that favors immersion in the exploration and combat.

It was already a wonderful game to watch on the PlayStation 4, and on the PS5 it is even more flashy: the new version of Crash 4 is fluid and graphically razor-sharp, thanks to the 60 fps frame rate and the 4K resolution; however, the visual upgrade is not all-encompassing, and certainly does not distort the glance of the production. The update for the new Sony and Microsoft consoles, which - we remember - is free and supports the transfer of old gen saves, therefore fulfills its duty without overdoing it, limiting itself to maximizing the strengths of the technical sector. Too bad only for a rather lazy implementation of DualSense, whose features are not valued sufficiently: the use of haptic feedback and a more decisive use of adaptive triggers could in fact have given the experience a more distinctive touch.

Overall, therefore, the remasters of Nioh 1 and 2 boast a solid and satisfying performance profile, while not marking a clear step forward compared to the previous versions of the two titles, at least as regards the general performance of the graphics sector.
