It's action game J-style at its best, smooth to control, wonderful and crazy to watch. If you are even remotely interested in the genre, this is by far the best reason to own a WiiU as of today.

NBA 2K17 is a shining example for every annual series. Each iteration looks like a new, fresh title. Visual Concepts does not seem to get enough: the team renew and experiment new features every time, showing a love for basketball impossible to be found in other videogames.

Between revisions and additions to the gameplay, improvements to the quality of life of the players, and a simply surprising amount of content, Iceborne inherits all the strengths of the base game and further amplifies its enjoyment, coming to rewrite the rules of a potentially endless endgame.

The PC version, provided one has fairly powerful hardware, benefits from increased fluidity and a greater level of detail compared to the console counterparts: those who have waited for the arrival of this edition can therefore breathe a sigh of relief.

World Cup FIFA South Africa 2010 is a further step in front of FIFA 10. The team has tweaked the gameplay boosting reactivity of the players, normalizing the proportions between the field and the athletes and adjusting some CPU routines (like pressing). A game football fans cannot miss.

Astro Bot never stops, it plays with the player and is played continuously. It alternates commitment and simplicity, nostalgia and joy, with even a touch of unexpected epicness at the end. It is a videogame amusement park where a smiling treasure hunt has been organized. What treasure? The videogame itself.

It's a fantastic return to the roots of RPGing on PC. Incredibly deep, to the point where discovering every outcome of the story will require hundreds of hours. It's fun and engaging to play. Everyone with a sweet tooth for fantasy and roleplay should consider this game, as it's a true masterpiece from Obsidian.

The Single Player is far away from perfection. It lacks drama, and the pace isn't that high. But, as usual, Bungie delivers a complete multiplayer experience. Thanks to FireFight and to the new game modes, Reach is one of the best online FPS, and it will last for years.

In the same interview quoted at the beginning, Shigeru Miyamoto guaranteed: "The Pikmin teams are always busy with the next chapter". We hope that with this fourth episode, the Nintendo series will finally reach a large audience in Europe as well. Obviously, the genre it belongs to makes Pikmin an IP far from the commercial potential of other Kyoto giants, such as Mario or The Legend of Zelda, but for our part we can't wait to find out what Pikmin 5 will come up with.

Bioware is back with sheer passion and love for its work. It demonstrates so offering a new way for players to enjoy strategic RPGs, with a battle system that merges action and tactics, and it plays smoothly whether on PC or consoles. Add to this an incredible amount of gameplay, free roaming and an interesting intrigue, and what you get is one of the best games of this year.

FIFA 17 is an amazing game. It combines a simulative and refined gameplay to an incredible set of game modes. This year, Ultimate Team is interesting and well-structured, and the career mode is the best offline experience that the genre has to offer. The technical performance is certainly effective, thanks to the new engine.

Blood & Wine is hands down one the best expansions in the whole videogame history. Thousands of quests, a new fascinating region to explore, original gameplay mechanics. And it brings solid improvements to the user interface and the combat system. There wouldn't have been a better way to say goodbye to the Witcher.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is a monumental work, perfectly balanced in length and pace of play, with an engaging combat system and a progression system among the best in its category. Equipped with an exciting story, full of twists and a profound final message, it will bewitch anyone who decides to embark on Expedition 33. If Alan Wake was an introspective, crepuscular and dreamlike thriller, Jesse Fayden's adventure adheres more decisively to the logic of genre, recovering (from House of Leaves as well as from the Area X Trilogy) a sprawling, obsessive narrative, in a strongly intimate and in any case allusive science fiction.

That Days Gone Remastered offers a great show in Unreal Engine is evident, but net of some graphic differences, such as the improved rendering of the night sections, we can also say the same of the original incarnation of the game. Without mincing words, the two versions of the open world adventure are certainly not identical but remain comparable. Having said this, Deacon fans might find the new Horde Assault mode interesting, which allows you to experience the highest gaming merits of the production in a few minutes, between hunting large groups of Freakers - now larger than ever! - roaring escapes on motorcycles and many main and support death tools to use in battle. Those who have always wanted to get closer to Days Gone and have not been able to do so until now, could seriously consider the offer of the remastered edition: it still offers the most valid and complete way to experience a great adventure of the PS4 era, set in an Oregon as rich in charm as it is lethal.

The impact of the new textures and a revised lighting system in almost every part allows you to appreciate the adventures of the Witcher par excellence like never before, with a cinematic cut made even more effective by the addition of Ray Tracing and with unprecedented fluidity choosing to opt for the performance mode. Wisely selected the mods produced by the community, and equally effective those created from scratch to rejuvenate the most obsolete mechanics of the original game, which now benefits from a fresher and more dynamic interaction system and a close-up view that favors immersion in the exploration and combat.

It was already a wonderful game to watch on the PlayStation 4, and on the PS5 it is even more flashy: the new version of Crash 4 is fluid and graphically razor-sharp, thanks to the 60 fps frame rate and the 4K resolution; however, the visual upgrade is not all-encompassing, and certainly does not distort the glance of the production. The update for the new Sony and Microsoft consoles, which - we remember - is free and supports the transfer of old gen saves, therefore fulfills its duty without overdoing it, limiting itself to maximizing the strengths of the technical sector. Too bad only for a rather lazy implementation of DualSense, whose features are not valued sufficiently: the use of haptic feedback and a more decisive use of adaptive triggers could in fact have given the experience a more distinctive touch.

Overall, therefore, the remasters of Nioh 1 and 2 boast a solid and satisfying performance profile, while not marking a clear step forward compared to the previous versions of the two titles, at least as regards the general performance of the graphics sector.
