Triangle Strategy is an excellent turn-based strategy RPG that borrows Octopath Traveler's HD-2D rendering technique to create a cohesive and fascinating high fantasy universe. The story is beautiful and full of twists, the gameplay is deep and full of possibilities. If you like the genre and you are not afraid of long dialogues, you cannot miss it.

Ghost of Tsushima is a it is an aesthetic masterpiece, confined in the canons of the typical open world. However the combat system works, and the setting recreated by Sucker Punch has a magnetic appeal. Recommended.

The very first guitar/shooter game available on the console is fun to play and very enjoyable.

A solid, fascinating and well thought RTS. Iron Harvest has a good and thrilling plot, the ambition to become an eSport and an original concept behind all the skirmishes. The art of Jakub Różalski fits perfectly with this genre. The gameplay is too classic, but very balanced.

Football Manager 2019 is a good step forward for the series, thanks to a system enriched and expanded in the capillarity of its structure. Can’t match the comfort of the mouse and keyboard combo and the story remains a weak point, but it’s still enjoyable thanks to the delightful design and gameplay variety. If you recall games like Commandos and Desperados with pleasure, it’s time to few versus many again.

Song of Horror is a terrifying experience with disturbing atmospheres and a story you won't easily forget.

The Medium is yet additional proof of Bloober Team's talent in creating authentic digital nightmares. Gameplay-wise the game is inspired by the classics of the past without giving up its own personal imprint, and the story is also well written. The art direction, though, is the real deal.

Better in every aspect compared to Grow Home, Grow Up is a fun platformer. Complete the main quest does not require many hours, but thanks to the many challenges and collectible, you will spend a lot of time playing the game.

The Adventures of Shuggy is one of the best XBLA games of the year and a pleasant surprise for fans of "Braid-and-Winterbottom-esque" gameplay titles.

Gran Turismo Sport breaks from the standard of the series and focuses on online races and eSports, but in the process loses some content. Technically speaking, the game is a real masterpiece and pushes the PS4 hardware to its limits, though dynamic weather is not present. Even if the physics model is upgraded from GT6, there are still old problems, but driving is still very fun with a good driving wheel.

Despite some evident flaws in the combat sections, Figment is a delightful puzzle adventure which dealt with some serious topic through an inspired light-hearted approach. Kind of a mixture of videogame, musical and a great animated movie.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires makes a few nice additions to the original formula: the marriage system and the possibility of having a child are nice touches, and the new strategies on the battlefield are both useful and interesting. If you like musou games but you’re put off by their boring action, this is the game for you.

Taking plenty of inspiration from the likes of Terraria and Spelunky, SteamWorld Dig is nonetheless an enjoyable and very fun indie game, for those who never get tired of digging up the mysteries of the underground.

Onrush is one of the most entertaining arcade experiences we tried in recent years, and we could barely stop playing it. On another note, it might require a lot of constant support to not become stale shortly after launch.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is a great game, but the series' narrative has become a big issue to deal with. Ubisoft should find the courage to create awesome games with no bonds at all with the templars vs assassins stuff.

An interesting setting, good puzzles and peculiar art style make Dead Synchronicity a worthwhile adventure both for veterans and newbies of the genre.

Mega Man 11 arrives as part of 30th anniversary celebration of the series breaking up from the classic gameplay and 8-bit style and finally offering something new to the mix. Mega Man 11 is in many ways a crossover between the main series and the X one. The brand new double gear system opens the door to new gameplay styles and it feels very enjoyable. Even die-hard fans will have a tough time with this new chapter, and newcomers will be happy to find easier difficulty settings…maybe too much easy. Challenges and time-attack modes offer lots of repeatability, though soundtrack is not very memorable.

Original, fun and exciting, certainly a welcome surprise in this sultry summer.

The Collider 2 is a fast-paced arcade game where you have to launch yourself in a suicide mission, piloting a fleet of Starfighters to destroy an alien mothership from the inside, avoiding collisions, collecting artifacts and destroying key targets. The game is easy to pick up but very challenging to master. It features a mission mode with 54 levels and 6 airships to unlock, and a survival mode with online ladders to compete with friends and players from around the world. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets are also supported. The game offers intense and thrilling action. Racing arcade fans and players in search for hard challenges will love it.

Jurassic Park Evolution 2 is a bigger, better and more balanced management simulation, that runs through the entire cinematic franchise. If you enjoyed the first game, you will definitely enjoy this one.

Capcom's critically acclaimed action RPG series debuts on Nintendo Switch with a “double cross” chapter that brings tons of new contents over the original 3DS outing.

Action, roguelike, shifting levels, environmental puzzles “a la Tetris” and simple but clever combat mechanics. Despite some minor flaws, Loot River is definitely one of the best Indies of the year.

Stellaris is a wonderful game that perfectly blends 4X with Paradox' flagship strategic staples. Empire management is approachable yet deep and rewarding, and if it feels a bit lacking it just means you had too much EUIV or CK2.

Hard Reset is an old school FPS, a game where speed is everything. Flying Wild Hog first game takes the player into a realistic sci-fi world, giving the feeling that perhaps the evolution of this genre is not really an evolution.

The mobile version of Skylanders Trap Team is a great step for the future of mobile gaming. Maybe the gameplay it’s not so fresh, even with the traps, and is not cheap to enjoy the full content. But it’s a great game that now you can play everywhere.

One Piece pirate Warriors 4 embodies the mood of the series, giving the chance to rediscover the famous Rufy’s saga through its most iconic places and characters.

One of the best jRPGs ever finally ships to a Nintendo platform. Waiting for remake’s arrival, Nintendo Switch version of Final Fantasy VII is maybe the best way to replay this marvelous gem.

Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is the very first remake which looks like a brand new game. Its hardcore mechanics are still there along with a good customization, the great visuals of Etrian Odyssey IV, and an entertaining story.

With Darkstalkers Resurrection Capcom has done a great job, creating an appealing collection at the right price. Both Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge and Darkstalkers 3 are deep and entertaining, with tons of interesting options to play with.

Not just a copy of the console game, but a real story that will tell us what happened before the events narrated in Dead Space 2. This iOS dedicated version of the latest Visceral Games creation captures very well the atmosphere and the gameplay of the saga. Maybe it's a little more action than survival horror and sometimes is too repetitive, but in the end it's a solid game that will not disappoint Dead Space's fans.

An ode to the strategy genre and a tribute to UFO: Enemy Unknown, Xenonauts takes all the best characteristic from his spiritual father and makes some little and very much welcome changes.
