Its core mechanics are solid and there's undoubtedly great moments, but these are watered down time and again by repetitive run-of-the-mill missions and tasks. Suicide Squad often simply becomes too mechanical due to its nature, instead of giving players some breathing room.- Eurogamer Germany

Evoland lives off your nostalgia, which, in turn, is the only reason for you to keep on playing it. After the first 30 minutes, where the evolutionary steps come in entertainingly swift succession, the game actually stops evolving much, settling for a mixture of mindless fighting and lowbrow puzzles, chucking in the occasional graphics update. Also, it promises to be a virtual history lesson of the genre, only to perpetually being stuck on A Link to the Past and Final Fantasy VII. Evoland early on just loses track of what it set out to do.- Eurogamer Germany

Some of the old strengths are on display here, though. The characters are likeable, the world is still a sight to behold … But playing the stuff that normally gets visualized by a loading screen is hardly an exciting proposition. Granted, Omega is as much a matter of taste and preference as the next DLC. It's a story of its own without big connections to the main plot and you'll definitely get the most out of it, if you fell for Aria and Omega in Mass Effect 2. I liked it for its great production values and a solidly balanced mix of story, character dialogue and often more open ended fights than in the main game. Though this is hardly a must-have, it is most definitely four hours of entertaining side content with interesting companions and a charismatic bad guy.- Eurogamer Germany

If you want to show off your new console's next-gen graphics, this entertaining romp is the game to get. It looks absolutely stunning in its effects and even the lush design of its world. Still, in the not-too-distant future we'll get games that look this good while offering considerably more depth than Ryse's beautiful, but ultimately shallow puddle of a brawler. And that are considerably more exciting.- Eurogamer Germany

Minor troubles aside, for about ten bucks you get one of the best Sonic experiences, and one that can and will keep you busy for weeks, if you're really want to see everything. If you can get past the camera issues, some control quibbles and the rather boring search for crystals, this will hook you like in the olden days. This reunion might bring with it some surprises, as your memory seems to play tricks on you, but it's still a worthwhile get together.- Eurogamer Germany

Technical difficulties aside, what you should take away from this is an astonishingly entertaining first four hours that are well worth the ten bucks, especially if you plan to play this with some of your friends. Enjoy two good evenings of entertaining and don't bother with the later unlocks. Instead, grab the starting weapon, upgrade the hell out of it and beat every map a couple of times until you eventually find it a bit tiresome and turn towards something else.- Eurogamer Germany

Karateka shouldn't cost 10 Euros, at least not in its current form, without any sort of challenge beyond the one it offers if you want to finish it with only one life. And even that isn't as challenging as it should be in such a short and completely linear experience devoid of any extras. Karateka is a game completely oblivious of its time and environment. Beautiful, fun even, for those few times you play it, but Karateka ultimately overstays its welcome all too quickly.- Eurogamer Germany

All in all Stray Blade is a passable game that plays well. Unfortunately, it doesn't make it easy for you to master its battle system, asi t never quite strikes a perfect balance. Truth be told, Doom 3 has held up better than I expected. It's still a game with both its feet in the nineties, and one whose haunted house antics work best in small doses. But when it clicks, it does so with the resounding blast of a shotgun to the face. In essence, it's got quite a lot of things going for it as interesting spin-offs go. The hunt for experience points and the leveling up of your character can motivate for a while you if that sort of thing floats your boat. You're only a few minutes into this, before you realize that "more of the same" was all they aimed to achieve with Riptide. Make no mistake, 'functional' is the key word here. It is playable, not too much fun, though, and its tactics seem half-baked. Controls are serviceable but never really all that good. Enemy AI isn't up to much, never realizing the options the game presents it with. The game's biggest plus is how closely it sticks to actual history, meaning that you can actually learn a bit about this phase of war, if you should so desire. Also it doesn't hurt 'History' that, at least on 360, there's not that much competition.- Eurogamer Germany

You're way better off playing Penumbra, Amnesia or Outlast. And when you're through with those, I still could name a slew of other horror games way better than this dull hunt for objects in confusing corridors.- Eurogamer Germany

It's a likeable adventure, albeit a very short and easy one that's sparse in animation. Parents might want to try it out with their kid(s), but then again, there's so many more involving, clever and not least prettier games like this, Machinarium for example.- Eurogamer Germany

I wanted NeverDead to be this sleeper-trash-hit, some kind of Deadly Premonition. A game which by most objective standards is bad but you can still love with devotion. Too bad, that NeverDead completely misses that essential second part. (...) What good are one or two nice ideas for a bossfight or some almost good surroundings, when the mechanics are a constant annoyance? Or, even worse: when most of the time the game seems dead set on doing its best to bore you right out of your skull?- Eurogamer Germany

Lots of content and a great Star Wars feeling clash with bugs and a host of other problems. This could have been so much more.- Eurogamer Germany

To be fair, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 nails the web-slinging. But everything else just reeks of a hastily cobbled together licensed game, the kind you had hoped the new consoles wouldn't have to put up with for a while.- Eurogamer Germany

Entertaining, but not quite perfect: Gangs of Sherwood has interesting heroes, but bland opposition dulls their potential.- Eurogamer Germany

As I caught a glimpse of the one and only, the legendary and immortal Tom Savini in this, I cried a little, and those weren't tears of joy. That was three minutes into the intro and it was all downhill from there.- Eurogamer Germany

The cheapest of leveldesigns, an impact detection from hell, a meaningless underwater gimmick, an online mode bordering on being defective, a demented storyline – badly told too. It´s just the recycling of some leftovers and a waste of your time.- Eurogamer Germany

It's charming, mind you, but it still boggles my mind how Yasuhiro Wada, the mind behind the brilliant Harvest Moon, managed to make this boring a game.- Eurogamer Germany

Yet another one of those licensed games no one really needs. It's a shame, really. I actually thought the Transformers games had gone beyond that.- Eurogamer Germany

People, it's great if you're making a trash-themed game. I'm all for it. Tanks vs. Gorilla-Mechs, you almost had this one in the bag. I don't even have anything against the gameplay itself being trashy. But Tank!Tank!Tank! is just garbage. It's a cheap little stinker of a buggy mini game that didn't even know what hit it, when it ended up on a retail disc.- Eurogamer Germany

In the end, this is a solid cover-based third-person shooter with co-op, a decent story, with some technical shortcomings and mediocre graphics root it firmly in the realms of licensed gaming. Still, Trek-fans will get about 10 hours of worthwhile entertainment out of this.- Eurogamer Germany
