   I've seen a couple of reviews from critics bagging on this game, but so far I'm really enjoying it. I saw one review ask who this game is for?I've seen a couple of reviews from critics bagging on this game, but so far I'm really enjoying it. I saw one review ask who this game is for? Well it's for me. I'm the perfect demographic for this. I mean it’s not the longest game, but it's not a full AAA action game. It's a minor release from a smaller studio who make pretty fun action games and this definitely fits the bill.
   
   Gameplay: The bending is awesome and makes me feel powerful which is exactly what I wanted from an Avatar game. The combos are simple, but the complexity comes from mixing the different styles of bending which each have their own effects and feel, not from a million button combos.
   
   Story & Presentation: The story is okay, not amazing but it's serviceable and has a lot of nods to fans of the series. Plus the animated cut scenes help set the mood. The graphics are good, the levels themselves are a little bland, but the cell-shaded style fit the world perfectly. Now the bending animations themselves are gorgeous, and all the different bending styles have subtle visual cues. Also the music is great and matches the series.
   
   Overall: This game isn't breaking any new ground, but if you're a fan of the animated series you'll likely have a good time feeling like a bending master.… Expand

   I am a Avatar fan and was excited about this game. I have read other reviews and it really depends what you are looking for. For $15, itI am a Avatar fan and was excited about this game. I have read other reviews and it really depends what you are looking for. For $15, it provides the enjoyment I expect. I would have paid $20 but that is probably because I am a fan of the series and was wishing for a Korra game. I recommend it if you do enjoy the Korra series and want to be part of this world for sometime. If my view changes for this game, I will come back to change the review.… Expand

   I played this on casual since I don’t play many action games. It wasn’t easy: I had to replay boss battles two or three times, and one sectionI played this on casual since I don’t play many action games. It wasn’t easy: I had to replay boss battles two or three times, and one section near the end of the game took me nine tries to complete-but I was compelled to keep playing, because although combat isn’t very deep-though it becomes significantly more complex when you unlock all 4 elements-it’s a lot of fun. I plan on replaying the story on normal and extreme mode, so I’m anticipating this game will give me roughly 14 hours, which is well worth the price of admission.
   
   The story isn’t great, but if you’re willing to play Destiny you shouldn’t let a mediocre story stop you from enjoying a fun time. The cutscenes aren’t identical to the show’s style, but they look quite nice and serve as good transitions from one area to the next. Each element has a different flavor-earth is slow and powerful, fire is quick and close, air is best for crowd control, and water is best for distance. Each of the elements’ animations are very well done and stringing together combos involving all four elements is both rewarding and fun to watch. There isn’t a lot of enemy variety, but I don’t consider this such a bad thing-with the exception of mechas, it’s more about timing than strategy, which is fine in a game like this. The running levels with Naga are a good injection of variety.
   
   This game isn’t without flaws, however. As mentioned previously, the story isn’t very good: a one-note villain who mostly pays people to fight for him; the game eventually leads to a disappointing showdown. Levels are generally not very detailed, with the exception of the South Pole, where the snow effects look great. I didn’t find pro-bending entertaining. There are not any sound options or the option to add subtitles to cutscenes. Graphics, while not ugly, are not impressive. Compared to Infamous: First Light (also $15) which boasts story mode, PvE, and free roam in a large world, there isn’t much to do in this game.
   
   This game has its flaws. However, what it does it does well. While it’s not Bayonetta and doesn’t have a lot of content, it does well capturing the feel of bending, and provides a lot of fun. It doesn’t have the storytelling characteristic of the Avatar universe, but it’s a good, fun game with some replayability, and is definitely worth the cost.… Expand

   Bear in mind that I got it for really cheap (its not worth anything over 20$) I'm a fan of the series and had no expectations (or negative ones since they always screw up these type of games) and I am actually surprised on the negative reviews it has gotten. Its trully fun game to play. Ive had recomended games with great reviews being much worse that this… Expand

   Even for hardcore fans of show the game has little to offer outside of it's combat system. It can be quite fun to button mash your way through waves of identical enemies with Korra's powers. However irritating segments rear their ugly heads far too often, and the real fun only begins on your second playthrough after you've unlocked all of your powers. As a result PlatinumGames Korra can be pretty entertaining, but ultimately lackluster.
   
   Fans hoping for a great original story are going to be disappointed as the game doesn't really have one at all. Those gorgeous cutscenes made to look exactly like the show don't really have much going on in them. They basically just tell you that Korra has her bending powers stolen by some guy and that she has to get them back. That's a set up, not a real plot. Unfortunately that's really all the game has in this department. At least the voice actors from the show are present.
   
   The in-game graphics are just as gorgeous as the animated cutscenes. It really is a pretty game to look at. The soundtrack is also pretty great, with melodies being pulled straight from the show. As far as fanservice in the presentation goes, it all looks and sounds really good. There just isn't much substance backing it up.
   
   The gameplay fares a bit better. This is PlatinumGames after all, so the combat system is quite solid. They also did a good job of making each power feel worthwhile in any given situation. However they couldn't quite nail the combat encounters. Fights can range from entertaining, but dull to straight up frustrating. The game's attempts at boss battles are pretty poor in a lackluster sort of way.
   
   Platinum threw in some infinite-runner like sections to mix things up. They are brief and turned out better than one might expect. However they aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Especially in one poorly thought out segment where they tried to include combat. It stands out as one of the game's more tedious moments.
   
   Replaying the game again with all of your powers unlocked and having them fairly leveled up is much more entertaining. You have more variety in your approach and more power backing yourself up. It still doesn't overcome the occasionally poorly designed encounters, but it at least allows you to see all the game has to offer and unlock everything. After you finish the pretty brief campaign there is the Pro-Bending mode that unlocks. It's just like it is on the show and is pretty entertaining as well. However it's about on the same level as the main game.
   
   PlatinumGames has delivered another solid combat system. However this time it's screaming out to be put in a better game. It's a hollow bit of fanservice for followers of the show and an uneven action game. As a result it's a decent, but unsatisfying action game that feels a tad overpriced. It still provides moments of fun, but it's not hard to wish you were playing bigger, better action games over the course of it's eight level run. It certainly doesn't live up to Platinum's more legendary and celebrated titles and falls short in just about every category. There are plenty of worse options out there and fans of the show might still get a kick out of playing as Korra. Just don't expect to be completely satisfied or entirely entertained with Platinum's surprisingly uneven game.… Expand

   I just can't believe I have payed for this really... I am so disappointed at this game I can not understand how can u make a serie and gameI just can't believe I have payed for this really...
