Many reviewers are giving this game 3/10 or 4/10. But these scores are not deserved. They compare this game to Bayonetta 2 or the Batman games and, of course in comparison this game can not hold up against them. But you also have to look at the price and production costs. While the others are sold for 60$, Korra only costs 15$. You should not expect a game like Bayonetta. But theMany reviewers are giving this game 3/10 or 4/10. But these scores are not deserved. While the others are sold for 60$, Korra only costs 15$. You should not expect a game like Bayonetta. But the trademarks of platinum games are still there: great fighting system, fair difficulty even if some reviewers said it is unfair. I played it on normal and extrem and it is always fair and challenging. The story could be better but I did not expect a great story for a 15$ game. The graphics are solid and for some parts very good. But here you can also see the missing budget, mostly in the environment, which looks for some parts bad even though it is very linear. The story can be completed in about 5 hours on normal. And even a few hours more on extreme, depending on how good you are. In these five hours you experience a good sense of progress. You unlock all four elements over time and you can level up each element by themselves. Through this you unlock new combos which male the fights even more interesting. In them you can change the elements at any time. Each element has other functions: earth for slow and strong attacks, fire is very quick, water is for longer ranges and air is more for bigger groups of enemies. Every element is useful and fun to play. The game also has running sequences with Naga which are basically an endless runner( a fun one though). After completing the game for the first time you unlock pro-bending. It is not more than a fun and challenging mini game, but I return to it over and over again. All aspects of game make fun but you can feel that the game could have been much better with more budget for platinum games. But it DOES NOT DESERVE THESE BAD REVIEWS. Maybe the game does not deserve a 10/10 but looking at all these negative reviews that make no sense I had to give it that score. It is more a 8/10 for fans of the show and a 7/10 for non show viewers. I hope that enough people buy this game, so Activision sees that there is a demand for games of this franchise and that they will give platinum more money freedom and time to produce a AAA-game for 60$. So please if you like fighting games: GO OUT THERE AND BUY THIS GAME: Expand

I think a lot of reviews on this game are a bit undeserving to a degree. The game costs about $15, and is definitely *not* a AAA-type title, nor really intended to be. It's a fairly quick game, but there's enough depth/repetition available to make it interesting.

If you're a fan of the series, I think you'll like the game. If you don't know much about Korra, then you may have a very different outlook of this game. I will say that the game is really a challenge, overall. The nice thing about the challenge is that being able to try again isn't really hard as the checkpoints come quite quickly, and the levels aren't very big. You can get through this game, in one playthrough, in a few hours or so max. Just be prepared to be frustrated at times.

The naga racing bit is one of my more enjoyable parts of this game. It very much reminds me of the battle toads race. While incredibly difficult at times, it's very rewarding to go through. Unlike battle toads, you don't die immediately hitting stuff but there is an achievement for not hitting an obstacle.

I think this'll be the first game I actually get to 100% on in terms of trophies. I'm enjoying the game that much.

I am a Avatar fan and was excited about this game. I have read other reviews and it really depends what you are looking for. For $15, it provides the enjoyment I expect. I would have paid $20 but that is probably because I am a fan of the series and was wishing for a Korra game. I recommend it if you do enjoy the Korra series and want to be part of this world for sometime. If my viewI am a Avatar fan and was excited about this game. Solid beat-em-up from Platinum, you can definitely feel their footprint on this. I'm having a great time, but don't expect this to have the same level of writing as the series. It pushes all the buttons that the Dynasty Warriors series does - It gives you incredible powers, and tons of enemies to plow through, while playing in the universe of your choice. I've seen a couple of reviews from critics bagging on this game, but so far I'm really enjoying it. I saw one review ask who this game is for? Well it's for me. I'm the perfect demographic for this. I mean it’s not the longest game, but it's not a full AAA action game. It's a minor release from a smaller studio who make pretty fun action games and this definitely fits the bill.I've seen a couple of reviews from critics bagging on this game, but so far I'm really enjoying it. Gameplay: The bending is awesome and makes me feel powerful which is exactly what I wanted from an Avatar game. The combos are simple, but the complexity comes from mixing the different styles of bending which each have their own effects and feel, not from a million button combos.

Story & Presentation: The story is okay, not amazing but it's serviceable and has a lot of nods to fans of the series. Plus the animated cut scenes help set the mood. The graphics are good, the levels themselves are a little bland, but the cell-shaded style fit the world perfectly. Now the bending animations themselves are gorgeous, and all the different bending styles have subtle visual cues. Also the music is great and matches the series.

Overall: This game isn't breaking any new ground, but if you're a fan of the animated series you'll likely have a good time feeling like a bending master.

Legend of Korra is, in many ways, the barest bones of what Platinum is able to use their game mechanics and engines to create, and I feel that truly says a larger amount about the company's skills than people give this game credit for. Is it as long or grand or giant as any of their 60 dollar titles? You miss the point of this being a digital only released 15 dollar game if you findLegend of Korra is, in many ways, the barest bones of what Platinum is able to use their game mechanics and engines to create, and I feel that truly says a larger amount about the company's skills than people give this game credit for. Is it as long or grand or giant as any of their 60 dollar titles? You miss the point of this being a digital only released 15 dollar game if you find yourself asking that question, or expecting there to be an answer.

Story wise this takes place in the gap between Seasons 2 and 3 of Legend of Korra, and follows a string of conflicts that pits her against remains of chi-blockers, the Triad bender gangs, giant robot suits, and angry dark spirits. All while re-unlocking, in rather video gamey ways, her various bending skills as the story progresses, with spiritual guidance from one of the few other people who seem aware that anything is happening. All this is appears to be tied, directly, to the portals to the spirit world having remained open after the events of Book 2. And it all ends, with a knock out, drag out boss fight against a rather bizarre looking creature that makes use double check what we had seen earlier in the game.

Gameplay wise, while it's the basics as one would expect from a Platinum game, high combos, importance of dodging, and a system build on punishing the enemies when you read their attacks right, and multiple styles of combat to choose from. And you'd think, 'oh well bending's been blocked so, until one of them is unlocked what I have to run?' Nope, despite not being able to bend, she is still a martial artist. That I feel is one of my favorite aspects of this game, that even without the bending, you still have combat options for those styles. Even when it's simple combat, stemming from traditional martial arts, the styles are diverse and different enough to each feel needed. And when the actual bending is added to the fighting literal range added to each style, both cause of the combo tree expanding and because from that point a lot of moves end up with projectiles added to the moves.

While the importance of the combat, even to this base level, I feel helps to show how well Platinum Star's game engine could work in a heap of other titles, that's not to say everything in the game feels great... The Naga run sections, while they help to better pace the game, just feel like they could just as easily not been in the game. Despite effecting your time and grabbing some extra points, there is no punishment or reward for playing it better or well. You get through it, don't mess up too often, and poof you're at the end good for you. One alternative to this is a moment of combat during a Naga run segment, which makes us of the tricks you learned during the normal parts against enemies, however the fight itself felt flat and uninspired.

Then of course there's the 'feeling' of the game world. Personally, I have to give this game a lot of extra points for having a character who comments on what you're actually doing. From the expected 'nope can't break that wall till I get X bending back' to story progression 'I still have my fists' lines, to really unexpected but cute 'Oh man, that pot looked expensive >

I disagree with the majority of reviews on this game. I really enjoyed playing it, enjoyed the story and felt the combat was pretty fluid. People who find the game hard and decide to rage-quit have just never learned the counter-attack system.

The Legend of Korra doesn’t have the budget of a full retail release and it shows. The levels feel empty, there’s very little variation in enemies, you’ll fight the same ‘boss’ multiple times, and everything just feels scaled down.
