    Shadow of the Beast has the atmosphere and raw beauty of an alien, hostile world going for it, but other than that the game is simply boring. [07/2016, p.61]

    Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]

    At its basis (which were copied from Ubisoft) Homefront is not a bad game, but total lack of innovation, ridiculous AI and myriad of lesser flaws make it hard to recommend to anyone but the most avid Far Cry fans. [07/2016, p.44]

    If you miss Doom, you miss what I anticipate to be one of two most important first person shooters of 2016. The classic returns in great shape, with all its vital elements intact. Give the campaign some time to pick up speed and it will pump your veins full of adrenaline. [07/2016, p.38]

    The visuals are fantastic, but I was disappointed with the shallow, boring story and I grew annoyed with the gameplay. What upset me the most was the lack of scientific credibility in a game about scientists on a scientific space station (e.g. why do station modules separated by an explosion suddenly stop drifting apart!?).     After a hundred hours spent with RE6 I’m still hungry for more. While others complain that Resident Evil reached the gutter, I’m in love with the Mercenaries mode and superb combat system that lets you create unbelievable encounters. [06/2016, p.59]

    One of the best platformers is now more accessible (but even the lowest difficulty setting can be frustrating) and introduces a new area and two new useful skills. The Definitive Edition is a great opportunity to catch up if you haven’t played this amazing game (and you really should!), but also a good reason to revisit Nibel. [06/2016, p.59]

    From the very first seconds of the introductory cut-scene, from the very first notes of the soundtrack HLD sucked me into its masterfully crafted world, alternately engaging me with its intensity and soothing my nerves. Hyper Light Drifter is an instant classic. [06/2016, p.58]

    What completely spoils the game is its absolutely disastrous driving model. You’re not driving in Bus Simulator 16, you’re sliding unable to get the feel of the vehicles’ weight and dimensions. It’s a chore, not a pleasure. [06/2016, p.55]

    I was disappointed to see the return of the old, a bit obscure user interface and the biggest pain in the neck – the inability to attack diagonally in close combat. I was also once more let down by the story which is awkward at times and ends too abruptly. [06/2016, p.52]
