Shadow of the Beast has the atmosphere and raw beauty of an alien, hostile world going for it, but other than that the game is simply boring. [07/2016, p.61]- CD-Action

If you need a simple refuge from overly complicated strategy games and you remember Command & Conquer fondly, 8-Bit Armies is a cool little game for you. [07/2016, p.60]- CD-Action

Stating that the forthcoming game will be the last rendezvous with a popular, charismatic hero is a rare phenomenon. I congratulate Naughty Dog on their courage and in spite of myself keep my fingers crossed for them to stick to their decision. The farewell party they threw for Nate is simply spectacular. This is how I want to remember him, not as an old man who rubbed his joints with pain cream and then found a UFO. Uncharted 4 is a brilliant game and a breathtaking demonstration of what PS4 is capable of. [07/2016, p.56]- CD-Action

The game runs out of new content after just few levels (out of 75) and then turns into a series of similar, randomly generated maps. There’s almost no variety in Crown and Council. [07/2016, p.54]- CD-Action

Some improvements and gameplay changes make Rivals an enjoyable experience, but not as engaging and revolutionary as the original game. [07/2016, p.54]- CD-Action

Battleborn can be enjoyable, but only with friends and only for so long, especially when there’s a better alternative – Overwatch. [07/2016, p.52]- CD-Action

A surprising, timeless mix of a visual novel, a tactical game and a shooter, spoiled by dumb AI and inescapable grind in the later stages. [07/2016, p.51]- CD-Action

The Town of Light reminded me of similarly short and unpleasant Neverending Nightmares. Both games tried to tackle the subject of mental illnesses and both failed utterly. [07/2016, p.51]- CD-Action

It was really hard for me to break away from Stellaris’ grip to write this review. It’s one of those gems you launch in the evening for a moment but quit at dawn. [07/2016, p.50]- CD-Action

The Witcher 3 is a game I judge with my heart, not with my brain. And my heart says Blood and Wine deserves the highest rating. [07/2016, p.46]- CD-Action

At its basis (which were copied from Ubisoft) Homefront is not a bad game, but total lack of innovation, ridiculous AI and myriad of lesser flaws make it hard to recommend to anyone but the most avid Far Cry fans. [07/2016, p.44]- CD-Action

If you miss Doom, you miss what I anticipate to be one of two most important first person shooters of 2016. The classic returns in great shape, with all its vital elements intact. Give the campaign some time to pick up speed and it will pump your veins full of adrenaline. [07/2016, p.38]- CD-Action

Plenitude of content (characters and setting from different Disney eras) makes Crossy Road magnetic, but then you realize how shallow and pointless this game is. [06/2016, p.66]- CD-Action

A very decent Mystery Dungeon game and the best Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. [06/2016, p.66]- CD-Action

It’s not a game you play to relax or have some quick arcade fun – it’s both fascinating and depressing (and sometimes frustrating because of the difficulty level). [06/2016, p.65]- CD-Action

A surprisingly solid tactical game with interesting characters and well-written (even if sometimes too long) dialogues. [06/2016, p.64]- CD-Action

What do you do when your beloved game series – in this case Harvest Moon – keeps disappointing you? You make your own game, better in every aspect. Every moment spent with Stardew Valley is magical. It’s the Harvest Moon I’ve been waiting for my whole life. [06/2016, p.62]- CD-Action

Trainz Driver 2016 is nothing more than a paid demo of Trainz: A New Era and it would be wise to steer clear of it. [06/2016, p.61]- CD-Action

The visuals are fantastic, but I was disappointed with the shallow, boring story and I grew annoyed with the gameplay. What upset me the most was the lack of scientific credibility in a game about scientists on a scientific space station (e.g. why do station modules separated by an explosion suddenly stop drifting apart!?). After a hundred hours spent with RE6 I’m still hungry for more. While others complain that Resident Evil reached the gutter, I’m in love with the Mercenaries mode and superb combat system that lets you create unbelievable encounters. [06/2016, p.59]- CD-Action

One of the best platformers is now more accessible (but even the lowest difficulty setting can be frustrating) and introduces a new area and two new useful skills. The Definitive Edition is a great opportunity to catch up if you haven’t played this amazing game (and you really should!), but also a good reason to revisit Nibel. [06/2016, p.59]- CD-Action

From the very first seconds of the introductory cut-scene, from the very first notes of the soundtrack HLD sucked me into its masterfully crafted world, alternately engaging me with its intensity and soothing my nerves. Hyper Light Drifter is an instant classic. [06/2016, p.58]- CD-Action

I do not mind simplicity as long as there’s something valuable underneath it. Samorost 3 can only offer great visuals and for me that is not enough. [06/2016, p.57]- CD-Action

Creating your own robots is cool, but pointless due to their terrible AI. Why invest a fortune in upgrades if your dumb metal buddy will probably get stuck on a first rock he encounters? [06/2016, p.55]- CD-Action

What completely spoils the game is its absolutely disastrous driving model. You’re not driving in Bus Simulator 16, you’re sliding unable to get the feel of the vehicles’ weight and dimensions. It’s a chore, not a pleasure. [06/2016, p.55]- CD-Action

Epistory is a one-trick pony (you interact with the environment by typing in corresponding words) so it becomes repetitive, but it has a pleasant fairy tale atmosphere. [06/2016, p.53]- CD-Action

I was disappointed to see the return of the old, a bit obscure user interface and the biggest pain in the neck – the inability to attack diagonally in close combat. I was also once more let down by the story which is awkward at times and ends too abruptly. [06/2016, p.52]- CD-Action
