One component of the original Twilight Princess refused to be transferred into HD. It is, unfortunately, the most important one – the game’s distinct atmosphere, that vanished almost completely. [05/2016, p.61]

Doomsday is not as good as previous Deponias – not as funny (but still funny enough), considerably easier and heavier on mindless minigames. [05/2016, p.58]

There is so much wrong with FNaF World that there’s just one thing I can commend – the fact that Cawthon had enough decency not to charge people for this rubbish. [05/2016, p.55]

I expect more from Wadjet Eye, because they understand what made classic point’n’clicks great and their every game was a diamond that would rival Beneath a Steel Sky and Broken Sword in the 90s. In comparison Shardlight is... well... just a good game, a diamond in the rough. [05/2016, p.54]

The PC version of NfS is the prettiest of them all, but it is the same game with all its flaws, including horrible AI that sucks all satisfaction out of races (even if you stop completely, your rivals will wait for you) and scarce content that leaves you with nothing to do after around 12 hours. A digital board game in a purest form, with interesting, deep rules and nice art style. What bothered me was that it was not always immediately clear what happened during opponents’ rounds and I often spent more time analyzing their past movements than planning mine. [05/2016, p.52]

Hitman’s less gifted cousin has a lot of flaws that I need to point out, like a poor story that I didn’t care about, stupid AI painfully reminding that you’re playing a game, and dated visuals. Surprisingly, despite all that I do not regret playing Alekhine’s Gun, because its mechanics are solid and eleven locations are varied and well-designed. [05/2016, p.50]

Hitman returns to form he presented in brilliant Blood Money, but upon arrival it’s a demo waiting to be expanded with free episodic content. Fortunately the available mission in Paris takes place in a huge area (much bigger than the largest maps from previous instalments) and can be completed in many different ways, so I enjoyed replaying it over and over again. It’s one of the most beautiful MMO games and it offers a really cool combat system, but as a whole it is simply boring and most of the time I spent with it I was considering going back to ArcheAge. [05/2016, p.46]

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is a great game, but only on Xbox One. The PC edition is troublesome beyond belief. I had to face failing Windows Store download, abysmal performance (so much for the Full HD, not to mention 4K...) and lots of different technical issues ranging from missing textures to game quitting unexpectedly. Despite the top-down view DarkMaus stays too close to Dark Souls and it’s obvious that the developer is not interested in telling stories, but I’m still really impressed by what he managed to achieve on his own. [05/2016, p.43]

An experienced traveler will deal with the campaign in 2 hours tops, but gathering experience in a series of adventures in a randomly generated world is the most enjoyable thing here. The moments of triumph and fear that you will experience along the way are reasons enough to give this game a chance despite its many (but not severe) technical issues. [05/2016, p.42]

Quantum Break is a bad movie, but a really good game. It did not convince me with its poor (and poorly told) story and characters that I did not care about at all, but as a shooter it is really enjoyable and creative. [05/2016, p.38]

It took The Division a lot of time to reach our computers and consoles, but it was worth waiting for. We have already spent about 200 hours with it collectively and we’re not planning on abandoning it, because it is, simply put, outstanding and shows amazing potential for the future. [05/2016, p.30]

A perfect dungeon crawler for everyone – for those who want to spend a couple of hours building the optimal party and don’t care for elaborate story (Classic Mode), for those who prefer predefined characters with distinct dialogue lines (Story Mode), for those who expect to die in the first encounter with two yellow hedgehogs (Expert Mode), and for those who don’t want any trouble at all (Picnic Mode). After having played ATS for over a dozen hours I put it aside and returned to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Right now ATS is just a foundation for a game and it will take a couple of DLCs to fill it properly with content. [04/2016, p.60]

As a stealth game Chronicles crosses the thin line between acceptable simplifications and ridiculousness (the AI is awful), its visuals are bland to the point of being tiring and the story is stupid even for an Assassin’s Creed game. Workers of the world, just stay at home and... you know... do something else maybe. [04/2016, p.58]

Layers of Fear can send shivers down your spine, but it lacks a good story and moderation. It looks like developers could not decide which favourite horror motifs to use, so they used all of them and although the game started really well, after two hours I was already tired by the throng of predictable clichés and jump scares. Superhot makes everything you do look unbelievably stylish, but offers so little content that three hours with the game was enough for me. It needs more varied enemies, a broader arsenal, larger stages. I believe Superhot’s innovative mechanics can be squeezed for more and I’m looking forward to a sequel. [04/2016, p.54]
