    I just love this game. It's my first Formsoftgame and I knew it would be hard but it's also a lot of fun. I don't have issues on PS5 and the graphic is just fine. GOTY for sure!

    This is a beautiful game with a challenging and rewarding feedback loop. It elevates the soulsborne genre to new heights and may be the only game I will likely play for the next year and a half. I just can't put it down.

    This game is a masterpiece piece. The exploration is satisfying. It gives u freedom and accepts whatever u do. I fell in love with it and now I can't stop playing.

    Its hilarious to me that in all the 0s and 1s review this game is getting, they can only complain about the graphics being last gen and lack of cutscenes. Nothing screams GIT GUD more than seeing reviews like this. Im glad fromsoft have stuck to their guns and kept the handholding out of their games as is their tradition.

    My first time trying a souls style game it is absolutely incredible! Everything in the game encourages exploring and if something is hard you can go farm and come back. I find everything about the world immersive and exciting. The combat is very fun and you have so many options to approach different situations. 10/10!

    FromSoft has done it again, I have once again become completely addicted to a game they have made, and I doubt this will be the last game that this happens with. I’d usually wait for the sale if I were someone else as these games aren’t for everyone, but for once I think full price is worth playing.     does a good job as a exploration game, but:
    - savegame bugs took like 10h of effort, boss killing and farming and weapon and material grinding from me. how does a souls game fail at saving, the previous parts were saving at every opportunity. thats the biggest minus from me
    - the game has no clear red line, hugeass open world and no clear directions, cryptic introductions ruins the fun    does a good job as a exploration game, but:

    - progression is superslow, if you struggle with your current stats against enemies, you will struggle more in the upcoming regions. monsters get superhard, runes (exp) and smithing materials are very scarce, i wasnt able to get my weapons past +4 after 50h of gameplay. so i used the rapier +8 which you get as a gift after beating some mainstory boss.
    -great runes are a great idea but a greater dissapointment. why do we have to use rune arcs to buff them up? i found in all myhours so far 4-5 rune arcs (similar to humanity and embers) in the open world and those expire once you die and you will probably die every 5 mins once.
    - effing dragons at some endgame location give 3,5k runes... and you need at lvl60 or so around 25k exp for a level up. and dragons would at that point one shot you with basic attacks. the game is super tough, i dont know why they went with that kind of progression design. this game is supposed to be a challenge, not a parkour and avoid monster simulation
    - the trap chests are a nice idea, but can lead anyone who plays without guides into desperation. i for my part hated that idea

    + great enemy variaty
    + great combat gameplay
    + great mounted combat
    + ashes of war and summon noble spirits are a awesome addition to the game
    + awesome looking bosses (which drop almost no usefull weapons or souls which can be turned into weapons)
    + fast travel is also an awesome addition to the game, from any point (except inside traps)
    + the exploration is also awesome, you can explore so many regions thanks to the jump button
    + some regions seriously looked dreamlike, which almost never was the case in any souls game . which mostly has gory stuff and locations    … Expand

    Ahh... The Elden Ring. What an adventure. I haven't had such a good adventure since Breath of the Wild. A game where curiosity rewards, A game that challenges you, a game that is learning you, to step back and comeback later.

    Elden Ring deservers nothing more then a 10 out of 10. The only thing I dislike is that I never can go back to Dark Souls or any other souls game.

    Its a masterpiece easily, the world is just beautiful and feels real, the soundtrack is amazing and combat is of course perfect. Game of the year easily frame rate is silky smooth and truly the graphics are beautiful

    '오픈월드 RPG'라는 장르 특성상 초반엔 PC스팀판은 프레임 드랍이 어쩔수없다.

    지금까지 갓겜들이라고 나온 오픈월드 RPG게임들도 초반엔 최적화 이슈가 있었기 때문이다.

    하지만 확실한건 엘든링은 진짜 잘만들고 재밌는 AAA급 초우주갓겜인건 확실하다.

    아니, AAA급 초우주갓겜이라는 수식어로도 엘든링을 설명하기 힘들다.

    I'm not a regular FromSoft player and I have to admit that it has taken me til now to gel with the games. But I can say I'm having a complete blast in Elden Ring. The open World really helps when you hit a boss that you can't defeat... go explore instead!
    The World is dark, dangerous and devious and I want to explore every nook and cranny of it.
    Storytelling in this game isn't in my    I'm not a regular FromSoft player and I have to admit that it has taken me til now to gel with the games.     The game is good, but it fails with certain bosses. Either they're repetitive or unbalanced (AOE spamming fest). But for a Skyrim sized open world soulslike, it's definitely worth a try.

    After 156 hours I completed Elden Ring along with about 95% of the character side quests and all optional and main bosses. This game has one of the best worlds to explore I've ever seen in any game I have played; the visuals are spectacular and not one single inch feels wasted. This game is the peak of From Software's design in Dark Souls in giving freedom to the players to play however they want. The fluid combat and the added ability to jump add to the great experience of fighting and exploring in this game. The games story like other soul's games is very obscure but also very rich if you are willing to look for it. The characters are mostly good, but I felt they could have done more with certain ones. Most main game bosses feel and look very cool and are fun to fight. Some people don't like the reuse of enemies throughout the game but overall, I think they did a good job of making them unique to the areas you fight them and the powers they use, making them feel like new enemies. Difficulty wise Elden Ring is probably the 2nd easiest soul's game with Dark Souls 2 being the easiest. With 85 deaths in Elden Ring total, 46 of which were due to Malenia leaving 39 from the rest of the game compared to, 38 deaths in Dark Souls 1, 55 deaths in Dark Souls 3, and 9 deaths in Dark souls 2 (DS2 just felt extremely easy). One problem I had was Malenia and her being able to use her waterfowl dance 5 times in the span of a 2 minutes using it every other attack, if I could change one thing, I would give that move a 60 second cool down after she uses it. Overall, Elden Ring has slight issues with difficulty balancing but they are so small that it doesn't change how amazing this game is.… Expand

    and the online/multiplayer part was patched maybe a day after it released, and im getting smooth frames, and the frames change depending on the area.. im guessing it was patched also..    … Expand

    At this point I haven't finished the game but I'm roughly 50 hours in so far and it is a blast. It feels as though From Software grabbed all their other games and just smashed them together and forged Elden Ring. The combat is refined, the world and artistic style is perfected, and the story (though still vague) I found easier to understand and process.     Lo estoy jugando en una Xbox Series S y me está sorprendiendo lo fluido que va en la consolita, casi siempre se mantiene suave, en algunas partes de mucha acción se nota las caidas de frames, pero nada comparado a la versión de ps5 que está pesimamente optimizada, lo compre originalmente para esa consola pero como iba mal, lo compré en digital para Xbox y acá va muchisimo mejor.     This game just makes so much fun, the open world and other new mechanics like jumping and mounted fighting fells like a great addition to the already almost perfect souls formula.

    The user interface and menu navigation are anything but ergonomic, nothing is clearly explained, it is still buggy and poorly optimized more than a year after launch, graphics are mediocre at best, activating ray-tracing makes the frame rate so low that the game becomes unplayable.
    Nothing in this game makes it    Contrary to what some players claim, it's definitely not a masterpiece.

    This game should be called Dark Souls 4. For every fan of FROMSoftware this is definitely a must. One thing that I am not sure about is the use of open world (of field). Server issues should also be addressed, I assume the problems are temporary.

    Mein persönliches Game of the Year bis jetzt!
    Habe von DS1 bis Sekiro jedes Fromsoft Spiel 1000/1000 gesuchtet und auch Elden Ring konnte ich erst aus der Hand legen, nachdem ich jeden Winkel erkundet, jedes Geheimnis gelüftet und jede Quest abgeschlossen hatte.

I think the open-world aspect can be both good and bad for the game sometimes, especially considering that previous games from the team already had a great feeling of exploration and discovery with multiple secrets hidden throughout the world.     This game is amazing! Absolutely phenomenal work by the devs! Great job FromSoft! Yes it is challenging but that's what makes it worth the time put into it. Love the quality of life additions such as the fast travel while roaming around the map. The different possible builds already have me wanting to replay with different abilities!

Yes the visuals look better and you have a horse! But there's is no difference from ds3.     It would get a 9-10 but it’s not perfect at the moment….. disappointed with a the unstable frame rate but at least VRR can fix that….. I’d hate that performance on other devices without VRR. Hopefully FromSoftware can fix the multiplayer issues, frame rates and I’m looking forward to ray tracing in the future.

    This is my first FromSoftware game so take it from someone who's not a FanBoy, I mean I've been wanting to play Dark Souls for the longest time but never got around to actually picking one up. But after playing Elden Ring for the first time, maybe I'll try FromSoftware other games.

    I haven't finished Elden Ring yet but this game is too good, that I have to give it a rating and review.
    The exploration is fun and big.
    The art work and the graphics are awesome. Especially playing this on an Xbox Series S.
    The storyline makes you want to play more.
    And the best part, the rewards you get for defeating a boss, after being defeated over 100 times.

    Yes there are some little frame drops here and there, to be honest I hardly notice them that much.
    And yes the bosses are ridiculously difficult, but that is what to be expected from FromSoftware games. But they give you the option to always run away, level up and fight the bosses again.

    This game easily is a 10/10 for me and I have to say it feels like the game of the year. Without a doubt this game is worth buying.    … Expand

    Absolutely a masterpiece. Best FROM SOFT game so far. Some framedrops, but this could easy be fixed in the future. Huuuuge world to explore. Graphics are nice. That 0-5 reviews are trolls or people who never played Souls Games I think...

    Is the game perfect? no. It has minor technical issues. However, the Gameplay is absolutely fantastic. The world is massive, rich and detailed in ways that will have you constantly surprised.     I am writing this as a person who has finished the game and done all side quests:

The dungeons are fairly boring but necessary to progress a certain npc's quest line which you will want to do considering he gives you incantations(a form of spell). Despite the few crashes i have had it still runs really good, and as for the story the game follows dark souls usual cryptic path of giving you small bits and pieces that you yourself has to piece together. Although the horse is helpful it can be annoying to use because it's not exactly smooth and I have had a bit of an issue with getting of the horse because sometimes the game does not let you and other times you get stuck mid air and die. They do re use a few enemies and concepts from previous dark souls games like the crab, it's really up to you to decide if this is a nice callback/hint to the previous games or if its lazy. The npc's with decently long quest lines are fewer then i originally expected and with bad rewards at the end of there quests however that is my personal opinion, the weapons in this game are very different and a meta has already established in both in pve and pvp. in pve you can just spam scarlet rot on almost every single boss trivializing the game or just use magic because it does way to much damage. In pvp you want to power stance with fast weapons, use a heavy shield and armor or use the blood hounds curved great sword and spam the weapon art. This was my only negative experiences with the game, if all of this sounds fine to you i would highly suggest buying it even at full price    … Expand

    Fromsoftware did an amazing job with the unique open world that is elden ring. It dungeons may have been kinda copy and paste but still fun. The characters were interesting that follows up well with the fantastic story. The only problem i have with elden ring is that i feel that it isnt a new ip. However... this is the epitome of the Fromsoft, Soulsborne formula and my favorite title from the studio. It's hard, yet fulfilling.     Needed to add my rating on XSX as I have played it on both PS5 and XSX and I really hope they can patch the technical issues we seem to be having on Xbox. It's such a great game and I really want to be able to join friends on Xbox to play more but I will wait for future patches.

    Story: 9.0/10 (hard to put everything together but worth it with an amazing lore)

    The open world: 10/10 (massive, rich with landmarks and filled with tons of challenging enemies and bosses)

    Gameplay: 9.5/10 (The very best of past from software games with a ton of additions to improve it, but it's lacking an in game journal to remove the need of so many online guides)

    A masterpiece that will undoubtedly become a classic for the ages and a must play for any serious gamer.    … Expand

    Love it very challenging just like any action rpg game and hypixel skyblock. The open world is just diverse with different bosses with different types of attack to learn and overcome. The only flaw is the performance where it keeps dropping in demanding situation ever on series x|s and ps5. Overall best game for this type of audience/gamers

    It's a great addition to the Soulsborne series. There are some flaws, the big one being the PC stutter but it plays great most of the time regardless. My personal issues are the erroneous amount of delayed attacks and some seemingly unavoidable attacks.

    Fromsofts finest, feels like a culmination of the past 10+ years. The inclusion of Guard Counters and Sekiros posture system removes the jank from Dark Souls III's combat, and the world and story are the best they've ever been.

While this is not that bad considering the character models and some environments look like early ps4 it’s disappointing. Multiplayer could be phenomenal but is bogged down by bad design choices. One example is walls that forces you to disband group at region zones and have your friends try to get to the point where you’re at alone just so you can progress after you get past the wall. Others include mounts and summons not working. These two features are so core to the single player experience that it is baffling that they couldn’t optimize their game enough to have them included. There is a lot to like about this game and contrary to popular opinion an 8 is a worth while experience so give it a try.… Expand

    This game is amazing… I always had Witcher 3 as the best game I have ever played but finally elden ring has stolen the spot. The games world building is awesome when you just start the game your just lost in this world. I get so sidetracked form the main story because the world is just so amazing to explore. I believe, it gonna be fixed after patches. The feel also could have been better with more blood and gore and more animations on steath takedowns. Remember this is 2022 game .

    An insane amount of options to approach every aspect of the game, excellent fast paced combat and an incredible story with a cast of characters with superb voice acting. The open world is designed expertly and feels great to explore and discover secrets in.

    Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

    Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

    Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
