Feb 23, 2023This game is incredible; the devs added an absurd amount of content, all of which is masterfully implemented into a visually, audibly, and narratively beautiful world, but they forgot one thing--they forgot to make it particularly fun.

Oct 28, 2022There's a huge amount of Bosses that look amazing and creepy but the Gameplay & Inconsistency of the bosses gets a bit annoying overtime.
-
Dec 3, 2022Good game for the dark souls genre. But ultimately a gimmick riddled experience where they tie the players hands in ridiculous way, thinking that’s what fun is. Does not deserve game of the year for sure. The best part of the game is the lore/story, and after 400 hours later (6play throughs) I still had to find a YouTube video explains 50% of the lore.
-
Nov 24, 2022I don’t like soul style. Because really hard and a lot of stress. But im buyed dl version.

Jul 7, 2022This game is mediocre in every way.
Biggest difference between other souls games is the huge size of the map. That means they had to put a lot of filler in to the map to accommodate for a full open world. This game has more in common than latest assassin's creed games than to souls/bourne games. What a disappointment... -

Mar 1, 2022Honestly the graphics aren't all that great and other than the fact that it's open world this is just another copy and paste dark souls game. The fact that this game is rated so high is insane and shows money can buy everything.
-
Feb 27, 2022Not as good as I thought it will be. Bad Frame Rate
Really bad colors
Nothing really new in the gameplay -
Feb 26, 2022What is even the point of a performance mode if it's a stuttering mess that can't hit 60 fps 90% of the time? Loading times are also significantly longer compared to PC or PS5 which doesn't make any sense. Game desperately needs some updates.
-
Mar 6, 2022Lack of content. FROMSOFTWARE has managed to "Call of Duty" -ify dark souls. It's rinse and repeat. Take out the open world and you have dark souls. Open world fails in a game that was originally designed to be a linear gameplay. I wish they took notes from Breath Of The Wild and saw what did not work.
-
Feb 26, 2022Do not Buy this game if you dont have a TV with VRR support on Xbox.
The performance is cyberpunk level bad. -
Feb 26, 2022Terrible optimization on Xbox Series X. Please fix it. It's very uncomfortable to play

Feb 27, 2022I want to really like this game but performance issues ruin the experience. Playing on performance mode, it feels like I'm getting below 30fps in some boss battles, and having low framerates when you need precise movements and actions, makes it nearly impossible to progress in some places. If you're on the fence about purchasing Elden Ring, hold off until the developers improve the performance.
-
Oct 27, 2022Desculpe aos que pessam diferente, mas morrer várias vezes não é divertido para mim. Além disso o mundo aberto é um imenso nada aberto, sendo as missões paralelas praticamente iguais.
-
Feb 27, 2022Very average. Insane difficulty and bland world “tarnish” what could have been a great game. PASS
-
Mar 10, 2022Honestly the game is looking pretty lame on Xbox series x ---hopefully they tap into the power of the xbox. Game wise its early but being a souls borne fan this game feels different then say dark souls 3. Not sure but so far not too great.

Mar 8, 2022Bad performance on Series X, dumb AI, copy paste smaller dungeons, overly cryptic encounters with NPC and unclear quests, sound design is bad (was next to a huge waterfall and it made no sound). Combat is fine, but just the same as other souls games. Feels like Emperor's New Clothes that this is getting such high reviews.

Feb 26, 2022Unable to connect to servers. Game is missing half its features so From Software gets half the score they would have got. I will change my review based off the speed in which the issue is fixed. I was super excited for this game now I am pretty let down.

Mar 5, 2022Terrible controls. not enjoyable unless you are a dark souls fanatic. Waste of money otherwise.
-
Mar 6, 2022The map is disappointing very lazy. The graphics have not changed. This game isn't a 10. Bosses are just boring.I dont wanna play this like I did ds1 or bloodborne.wait for it to go on sale.

Feb 26, 2022it is fun game.
but this is not open world. it is just open field.
and too much much frame drop -
Sep 4, 2022boring and overrated, the genre urgently needs fresh air and its combat system already looks outdated for today's times, a shame I was expecting something more ambitious.

Mar 10, 2022I can't rate this less than 7 because there's clearly a quality game here, but the impenetrable design and frustrating experience makes this a pretty miserable experience. After 20 hours in Limgrave and increasingly resorting to online guides to find a way to progress, I've had enough.

Nov 6, 2022Not sure how this game has so many great reviews. Lots of rough edges with just simple things (like game menus). There is a story unfolding but the narrative is not nearly as strong as other RPGs.
-
Mar 19, 2022No story, boring combat, copy paste dungeons, lots of grinding. I don't understand how the critics gave this game 10.

Mar 20, 2022I am not going to lie this is my first dark souls style game I am about 20 hours into it and I can honestly say I cannot stop playing for the life of me from reading stupid messages saying beautiful sights and fighting bosses that are way too difficult I can't get enough it makes me want to play all the other games

Mar 17, 2022Copy & paste bosses throughout the game, every boss except 3. Bosses copied from other souls games, & the AI & hit boxes are terrible. The input lag is really bad, yet few souls players call out from software about this. Maybe delusional players, because they love the " challenge" of a truly broken game.

Apr 26, 2022Superior successor of Dark Souls 2.
This game is not a souls game, it's most likely a next game that trying to copy mechanics from dark souls.
Input reading,
enemy speed from sekiro but you character stuck at speed from dark souls 1,
enemies deal so much damage,
area damage everywhere,
repeatability - enemies, areas -

Nov 3, 2022It’s okay never been fan of this style of games but it will find its hardcore fans gameplay is slow and unimpressive

Mar 24, 2022UPDATE - - - - A couple of weeks later, the patch 1.03 ruined it, removed the fun by nerfing the best and very hard earned weapons.
-
Mar 1, 2022Needed to add my rating on XSX as I have played it on both PS5 and XSX and I really hope they can patch the technical issues we seem to be having on Xbox. It's such a great game and I really want to be able to join friends on Xbox to play more but I will wait for future patches.
-
Feb 27, 2022Could have been better. This game had too much hype. The game is generally looks awesome . The map is very huge and its is really fun to exploring. The bad thing is optimization. I believe, it gonna be fixed after patches. The feel also could have been better with more blood and gore and more animations on steath takedowns. Remember this is 2022 game .
-

Aug 13, 2023First off, I love the unforgiving combat system typical of souls-like games. It's a steep learning curve but rewarding when you finally get it down. The visuals are fantastic and at first I enjoyed exploring the open world. In the end, I found the world too open and too repetitive. I can see why some people may love it, but for me I just found it good and not great in the end.

Sep 1, 2023Extremely hard, no story. But love it as there's no pop ups telling you to get your credit card out to buy something. Thanks for just making a game and not trying to get every penny I have

Apr 4, 2022Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.
-
Mar 25, 2022Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.
-
Mar 14, 2022Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
