Every element is amazing from combat to the open world and story. You cannot pass this game up. Also to any review that is complaining about difficulty. These games are meant to be hard.     This game is going to be the best game of this year, I strongly recommend playing it on Xbox Series X, the only platform where it does not give problems with lag or fps, from software did it again but this time better than ever, it brought together the best of all the video games they have released to date in one, with a beautiful open world as well.

    My favorite game off Al time. Good story, interesting lore, fun combat, beautiful open world.
    Oh and the magic is really cool. Rating a 0/10 cause performance issues, come on man. Sure it sucks, but when it gets fixed, will you change rating? Imagine being developer and worked you're ass off for years... From Soft great game, great job!!

If we leave this aside there's a lot of sloppy work in the game. They enlarged a normal enemy in sekiro, bloodborne and dark souls and added it to the game as a boss. The venues were the same.     Just simply not a very good game. Little to no story. Most content is missable and untracked. Very outdated and disappointing on accessibility. Unimpressive visual and audio design. Sluggish combat. No climbing. Janky horse. Poor optimization and performance despite very minimal technical ambition. Lots of lazy corners cut, like the slideshow opening.

    Yes the game must be so good for you if you have a lot of experience for souls games but from a new players perspective, this game is terrible, its confusing and plain boring.

    After 60hrs I'd say if you enjoy overcoming obstacles and the feeling that brings them this is the best fromsoft title made to date.
    Even if you don't like these types of games this game should be an inspiration to open world building.     There's no checklist simulator here, just an open world full of mystery and wonder. So many hidden places you'll find for the first time on your third playthrough. It's truly incredible seeing a dev team trust the player as far too often games are too proud of their work, so they feel the need to drag you to every place on the map, but elden ring wants you to discover the magic of this world on your own.. this is your journey, your path to cut, this is your world.     Perfection played 26 hours on release weekend and can’t get enough. Haven’t seen any problems with frame rate, the game crashed twice but I was kind trying to brake the game so might have been my fault

    Dark Souls: BOTW edition.
    Fans of the Soulsbourne series of games will lap this up. I’m one of them. Takes all the best elements of the games before it and makes it into this huge beautiful sprawling world to get lost in.
    Some of the best boss fights I’ve ever had in any game ever. Runs superb on the Series S. I’m 40 hours in and I’ve barely scraped the surface of the game.

    Elden ring is perfect for souls fans. I freaking loved this game, both story and combat. The crafstmanship that fromsoft demonstrate in this game is insane. Level design, enemy design, weapons are top notch fromsoft level. Quests are also amazing, the most depth and complicated quests fromsfot has ever developed. Hope this open world formula will be applied on other triple AAA games.

    Game is fantastic, runs perfectly fine (not sure what everyone is playing it, a microwave perhaps or just haters). The game is a fantastic 10/10, if you e never played a souls game before your going to struggle which is possibly where the negative reviews came from. To their people it’s a hard game learn the movements and you’ll be fine.

    Very average game incredibly overrated. First hours fighting and exploring was fun but it then becomes really repetitive and boring so I had to stop playing. There are much better RPGs. I rate it a 6/10.

It seems like they are very lazy programmers and decide to give no explanation of the game and hide it under the veil of difficulty.     Looks pretty, but the very poor design is just lazy. Making Bosses massively, vastly overpowered and giving players a feather duster weapon to wave at a Boss travelling at you like an atomic bomb is terrible unbalanced rubbish. Fanboys and propellor heads with nothing better to do probably like this kind of junk, everyone else will just demand a refund for a completely unplayable game.

    SO good so far. Only negative is it loses some frames here and there nothing too bad, and will prolly be patched up. Literally everything else is Godlike and this is quickly becoming my favorite new souls game. And the Open World is the closest to Breath of the Wilds quality that i have seen yet. So much good here that i cant care to knock it for points.

    Recomiendo encarecidamente la versión de ps5 o pc. La versión de Xbox serie x está bien, pero tiene una carga más lenta, una velocidad de fotogramas y gráficos más bajos, además hay muchas quejas sobre la carga de datos que a veces tienes que eliminar y comenzar de nuevo.

    If you activate multiplayer features in this game you also get the invasion system which is nothing but a feast for grievers and can‘t be deactivated. Which makes it impossible to play a relaxed coop session. If you don‘t care it might be a great game.

    Elden Ring is a beautiful work of art, but the devs forgot they were supposed to create a game and so they left out many critical game mechanics which makes it essentially unplayable. Forgetting to include a quest log is only the tip of the iceberg, while also forgetting to include mana regeneration so a magic class is even playable.

    I really wish it was playable cuz it really does look    Elden Ring is a beautiful work of art, but the devs forgot they were supposed to create a game and so they left out many critical game mechanics which makes it essentially unplayable. Forgetting to include a quest log is only the tip of the iceberg, while also forgetting to include mana regeneration so a magic class is even playable.

    A wildly overrated game. Dated visuals, surprisingly poor performance, sluggish controls, and a played out dark fantasy setting, this is not a 10/10 game far from it. Feels like a game from ten years ago. Far from cutting edge in terms of mechanics or visuals. Combine that with an already toxic fan community and you have a game you're better off avoiding.

    A true evolution of the souls series. Refining the genre to a perfect sheen. Making an open world game that actually encourages you to explore instead of just filling a map with a ton of markers that you trudge through. Recommended for anyone who enjoys a challenge

    After approximately 10 hours in the game I have to admit that I am absolutely hooked. Elden Ring resembles BOTW by giving the player an opportunity to discover the world on one’s own terms. Combined with difficulty higher than in usual games, Elden Ring should enthral numerous players.

    Best game Fromsoft has ever put out, hands down. It does have frame drops but if you have a VRR monitor it'll help a ton until a patch is out (hopefully). It can be a rough go for those not used to this style of a game but my advice is to not give up, if you get stuck on a boss or a big enemy maybe explore the world more, level up and try again. I love the visuals, though they have some rough edges, the sounds is great and the gameplay is fantastic once you understand it.     And the copy and paste was unreal I rolled my eyes seeing the same structures and layouts repeatedly and the bosses where worse, the amount of times the godskin bosses showed up was especially lazy. Also had some bosses just flat out go afk in the battle like the Dragonlord placidusax.

    Not a bad game, above average but the overhype is real

However, I have to deduct one point, the game does not perform very well and can rarely reach 60 FPS and hangs in FPS mode rather at 40-50 FPS. I can't speak for PS5 and PC, but have heard from friends that they have similar performance issues on both PC and Playstation.

    Bottom line, Elden Ring is as big as FromSoftware promised and it's the perfect start to the new year. Unfortunately, the lack of optimization drags the game down a bit for me, which is why I only give it 9 out of 10 points. If you can overlook this point, however, Elden Ring has great potential to become GOTY.    … Expand

    Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

    Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

    Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
