   Did take be some time to compare to PGS 2K23 and EA PGA, but I'm enjoying EA PGA much more. Some courses looks great in 2K23 while othersDid take be some time to compare to PGS 2K23 and EA PGA, but I'm enjoying EA PGA much more. Some courses looks great in 2K23 while others looks horrible. EA also has many great courses but some are bad, like Wolf Creek...something is off in the graphics department.
   
   EA PGA has nice lighting also on the green. In 2K23 there are beautiful moments where the light comes through the trees but often enough areas are too dark, especially on the green.
   
   EA feels more immersive, like I'm there playing golf. I love the small details like seagulls at the beach going all over the place when there is a decent wind. Details like a grey sky and the sun breaking through which causes the light around your player to get lighter and darker.
   
   Many complain about the swing mechanics but I have no issues. You can set the swing speed higher in the golfer's profile. I actually like the swing mechanics more than the one in 2K23.
   
   When you hit the ball it give s a good whack! I also love the different ball trails like plasma and lighting which you can buy, although I believe the prices for in game items are too high.
   
   What I don't like is the fact that you can't reset your career and it would be nice to have a deeper character customization. Setting you characters height and weight would be nice. Not everyone is skinny!
   
   Another thing I really don't like is the fact that you need to be connected to internet for career mode and actually most of the game. I know this is "normal" nowadays, but I don't like it. Once the servers are down, that's it.
   
   In the end they are both great games but I have now deleted 2K23 and will focus on EA.

After playing Golf Club offerings, it really ruined my skills for EA Golf. Also there is not an option to start a different Career. Once you start one, you have to complete it with that golfer and your sign in… Expand

   I cannot recommend the game in its current state.
   
   Pros: + Fantastic job recreating all of these courses, very realistic, detailed, andI cannot recommend the game in its current state.

   Cons:
   - Career mode very buggy, visit EA's Answers (support) page and you'll see multiple complaints about career mode freezing, deleting itself, not properly completing a round, and more. These issues are happening on all platforms - Xbox, PS, and PC. I, myself, am experiencing this issue right now where it crashed at the end of the Amateur Championship and just keeps crashing any time I try to load into the next round.
   
   - Challenges and quests are also very buggy, frequently not registering completions.
   - 30 FPS with no performance mode.
   - Persistent online connection REQUIRED. Lose internet? EA Servers go down? No game for you.
   - Plastic player models with a VERY limited character creator.
   - Sluggish UI when trying to set up shots, choppy and sluggish swing mechanic.
   - An obscene amount of menus, all of which are very slow and cumbersome to navigate.
   - RPG elements wall off basic golf functions behind XP/Skill Point grinding.
   - In-Game customization store clearly built around selling microtransactions.
   - Putting is horrendous, especially the way the green grids and putt reads are laid out.
   - Sound bugs where the crowd or background noise just completely cut out and stay silent.
   
   It really feels like EA spent all of their budget on their course creation team. There's no doubt all their fancy LIDAR course scanning and other technical achievements paid dividends on the course realism, but the rest of the game could have used some of that budgeting. After 8 years from the last EA golf outing, I truly expected better. Until it gets some patches to address the serious game breaking bugs and, hopefully, a patch that allows for 60fps play, save your money and stick with PGA2K. That game has its own bucket of issues but at least it's more consistent (and regularly cheaper).… Expand

   There are 2 big issues:
   Firstly:
   The biggest issue I have with this game is analog stick swinging. When you first try it it's like you have aThere are 2 big issues:
   Firstly:
   The biggest issue I have with this game is analog stick swinging. When you first try it it's like you have a second of input lag. However that is not the case, the swinging mechanic is just bad. There are two main problems. Firstly your backswing decides power, but you dont stop backswinging when you pull the stick forward. You stop backswinging when you have finished your forward flick of the stick (which is supposed to be the forward swing). The second problem is the fact that you have to put the stick back to center. The forward swing isnt just the forward flick of the stick, but also the stick back to center. This ruins the timing for me. As a beginner you hold it at the top thinking your swing is done, but you end up getting a slow swing.
   
   Now aside from this, swinging is too forgiving. Even when you **** up, the ball still goes where you want it. I think the swinging mechanic needs a bit of an overhaul as this just isnt something you can get used to or have fun with imo.
   
   Second:
   Input lag! There is still up towards half a second worth of input lag in this game, tested through 3-click. It's absolutely stupid that this game stumbles on the main mechanic of the game. This may only be an xbox issue, so steer away from the xbox version if thats the case.
   
   These two issues make the game pretty bad. It's honestly disheartening because other than that it's pretty good. A lot of courses and a great presentation.
   
   Graphics are okay, theyre blurry and grainy, and foliage looks like it's completely still most of the time.… Expand
