    Rare is back and Sea of Thieves is a fun, enjoyable romp through "A Pirate's Life." A step in right direction for Microsoft and the much-beloved developer.

Compared to the boring and scripted events of lets say Destiny, or the vast empty blackness of Elite:Dangerous, Sea of Thieves is a colourful, humourus journey across a fantasy sea, which is best played with 1 or more mates. The "lack of content" might be a problem for people who exspect a dense quest system andSea of Thieves is about a fun journey with friends. And what a fun it is !     Bad, long load times - I'm writing this at a load screen right now. Any time you die you get the same long load screen No starting tutorial at all...     I will start by saying I do like the graphics on this game however the game as a whole is boring. You get a mission, go to an island and complete the same task as you have done 20 times already before sailing back to an outpost to hand it in. Absolutely no variety in this game. This game feels like it just put all the basics of a game together but not actually tried to make it fun and challenging. They have not tried to do anything different or even better.     Love pretty much everything about this game. Rare did a great job creating a game that feels different from the rest. People have been complaining about no progression system instead of focusing on being a skilled pirate working with their crew. Give it a chance people, its not as bad as you are making it.

    Se você tem um bom circulo de amizades na xbox live, gosta de explorar, Sea of Thieves foi feito para vocês, este jogo é feito majoritariamente para se jogar em 2 ou 4 pessoas. O mapa é bem vasto e bonito (porém achar uma ilha no mapa é algo cansativo e chato, deveriam criar um sinalizador de proximidade qdo estiver buscando a ilha no mapa). A qualidade gráfica é digna de respeito.

    Poderia haver ranks de quests conquistadas e algo para mostrar o seu históricos para seus amigos.
    O jogo precisa de mais conteúdos, principalmente voltado a quests e progressão de personagem e barcos. A Rare prometeu conteúdo ao longo do tempo, espero que este jogo não tenha um destino trágico como um Destiny 2.    … Expand

    The best thing about this game to me is the fact that it is free with the Game Pass subscription. The cartoonish graphics are cute and fit Rare LTD. Rare is finally back after their journey from Kinect games. The fighting mechanics with the guns and swords are crappy, though. Which is weird, considering Grabbed by the Ghoulies combat was executed perfectly.

    I love how the hate keeps coming ! 90% of l the people that gave it a 0-5 made a new account just to hate... first off the game is fun just like all your other pvp style games plus u do treasure hunting and gank other people with treasures!!     Mais um "joguinho do mês" mediocre. Em 2 horas de gameplay você já fez de tudo oq o jogo oferece. Monótono, fraco, apenas cosmeticos pra desbloquear. Pensamos que esse jogo seria a Redenção, mas é apenas mais uma vergonha pra RARE e Microsoft.

    This game is fun, hilarious, and beautiful to boot. There is so much potential to be had with this game. It isn't a single player game. Without people to sail the seas with the fun factor drops off a bit. I'm giving it a 10 to counter all of the ridiculous trolls and their unsubstantiated zero scores. In my honest opinion it sits around a 7 or 8. If rare keeps updating this game it'll turnThis game is fun, hilarious, and beautiful to boot. There is so much potential to be had with this game.     jogo muito divertido principalmente jogando com amigos, o mapa é bem grande mas é comum encontrar outros jogadores vlw muito a pena pegar o game via Game Pass , pra mim SoT é altamente recomendado é bonito divertido e com ótima jogabilidade.

    This game is gorgeous. I played the alpha and beta and now retail release and can not get enough of how good this games looks and how fun it is alone and with friends. sailing the seas, finding treasure, skulsl, pigs, chickens and then avoiding or fighting other players is a blast. can't wait to see what additions are going to be added to this down the road.

Eu joguei o jogo cerca de 20 horas ao todo, e você tem a sensação de que já viu de tudo em apenas 20 horas, é sério, você nem se empolga ou encontra novas coisas para se divertir. É preciso ter amigos para jogar este jogo, o jogo NÃO funciona sem amigos, e isso também é uma pena,Eu não recomendo.     Its is such a fun game to play, with friend and a lot of fun if u want to free roam and grab some treasures. Its nice that the most things in game are cosmetic what makes it a fair game.

    The developer are awesome because they keep u up to date with al the bugs and how they are gonna fix it.

    So far I like it when it's layed back and I can explore. But forced PvP is a cardinal sin. Yes it's a pirate blah blah blah. Doesn't mean that it can't have PvE only mode. This game is built and designed for griffing so enjoy

    12 horas de jogo, um mar estonteante, uma física arrebatadora, um jogo com muito trabalho em equipe a todo o tempo.
    Estou dando 9 apenas pela instabilidade no servidor que me deixou bem frustrado e é um jogo que depende muito de jogadores por enquanto porque a melhor ação esta em brigar com outra tripulação, vendo que isso não acontece se o jogo não agradar a muitos. De todo o resto de    12 horas de jogo, um mar estonteante, uma física arrebatadora, um jogo com muito trabalho em equipe a todo o tempo.

    A fun first-person pirate experience. Jump in your ship with your friends and collect all the loot you can carry, fire yourself from a cannon toward an enemy ship and try to sink them. Sea of Thieves delivers a lot of fun but can become stale, keep an eye out for new content being added to make the experience longer lasting.

    Sea of Thieves is a fun game that looks amazing. Sailing around with friends is a charming and amazing experience. However it doesn't take long to do everything there is to do and it can be repetitive and most of the fun depends on who you are playing with.

    I've played the game since before it released and it is currently the worst it has ever been.

    The community is toxic and never cooperate, which means you can't enjoy most of the games content.
    The devs refuse to add PvE servers and so I recommend anyone and everyone avoid this hell by not playing.

    My dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can playMy dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can play for hours. The proximity voice chat is also implemented well and I've had hours of fun talking with randoms.

    If you're looking to (buy/interested in) this game, but not quite sure, here's a list of things to consider:

    1. This game is on the Windows 10 PC store and is fully crossplay (Even allowing parties on the Xbox app) but you WILL need an Xbox live gold membership so keep that in mind. (I was skeptical being a PC/Nintendo gamer myself) The crossplay is flawless though, and graphics on PC look spectacular and controls nicely. I would definitely recommend the PC version despite only being available on the infamous Windows 10 store.
    2. This game is grindy, meaning you'll spend a lot of time doing what feels like the same quest over and over. This makes the single player feel empty unless you're actively teaming up with other ships. If you like playing alone or you don't have a lot of friends with this game, this might be a deal breaker.
    3. At the time of writing this review, all upgrades are cosmetic. Plans for ship upgrades have been hinted at, however. (This full price game has no game-altering micro-transactions and has no plans for them, no need to worry)
    4. Besides other players, the NPC enemies are a bit lacking, they're only skeletons and their different variations (Shadow, leaf, gold, etc) and sharks in the ocean. If you're not a fan of PVP this might be a deal breaker.
    5. For those of you who are in for the PVP, some players take it upon themselves to hunt you down no matter what. This isn't the problem with the game itself but it's worth mentioning. It might get a tad frustrating to assert your dominance over a group of troublesome pirates that reap no rewards.

    And finally, the purchase price. This game is a full price $60 game, but its current content makes it feel like less. If the price is throwing you off, this game is available on Microsoft's new service, "Game pass."
    This game is 100% free with this $10 monthly service, there's even a 14 free trial for those wanting to demo the game before purchase. This makes the lacking content feel more justified and I strongly recommend anyone interested to use Game pass instead of a full purchase.

    This game is gorgeous, controls well, has an alright community, has flawless crossplay, and is a blast with friends. If all of this sounds fun I'd definitely recommend, despite its various flaws.    … Expand

    The game looks fine and enjoyable at first, but after a good 5-6 hours of playing it, the game feels like it has already given everything it can offer, which to me, isn't very fun and interesting.

The four usable weapons are a flintlock, a blunderbuss, a long rifle, and a sword. a maximum of Two weapons can be carried at once.

    the game is very fun to play with co op and even by yourself, but if you play it alone it can get very stressful as its a one man crew, so i recommend playing with some friends

    the graphics are beautiful with some breathtaking views with lots of colour to the landscape. the only downside to the game is the lack of content which if you payed full price of £40 can feel like a waste of money when other games such as far cry 5 are out at the moment. when the game gets more content added i will jump right back in to the action.

    but if you bought xbox game pass then this game is a lot of fun. and definitely give it a try if you haven’t already    … Expand

When I play with my friends the absolute amount of randomness that occurs is great. Last week we set sail with 3 of us on a Galleon (under manned) and we knew we couldn't get into a fight. We ended up getting chased by another Galleon and in the distance we spotted a Sloop. WeThis game is exactly what was advertised. We laughed our butts off seeing this poor Sloop get hammered by the Galleon chasing us and we continued our treasure hunts after that. This is what the game is all about, making memories and stories with your friends. I love the community in this game and I love the randomness in this game.     SoT is so much fun, especially with friends. It is geared to multiplayer and that's not a bad thing, but you can do some stuff in a single player mode. I'm really looking forward to explore more of the game and seeing all the treasures Rare has developed for us to enjoy.

It's a open world sandbox where you can do whatever you want without having a specific end goal except for the legendary pirate title and perks that goes with it. Mainly the "next No Man's Sky," mantra being thrown around by the "1" raters... it's just not true. NMS was over hyped and under-delivered. Rare has been up front about what SoT is. The fact of the matter just is it won't please everyone. But those that are unhappy are of course !@#$'ing the bed about the fact that they paid for a game they are unhappy with, instead of being informed consumers. There is no one here to blame except themselves for making a purchase and being unhappy with it.

    As for the rest of us, we'll be sailing, and pillaging, and plundering, and swashbuckling, and having an amazing time in Sea of Thieves.

    The game is absolutely gorgeous. The art style is charming. The atmosphere captures what you expect or want out of a pure pirate-themed experience. The sailing is spot on. The combat is a little shallow, but it is tight enough to be learn-able and master-able. The navigation and looting is just a joy. I seriously can't wait to see what they have in store for this game's future.

    Played all the beta’s and finally the full game has arrived and it does not disappoint. There is plenty to do to learn the game and enjoy being a pirate as things are will be ramping up as time goes on. I’ve played this alone and with my young sons and they loved every minute. The game looks stunning and is totally unique. Have fun

Try taking on a 4-man galleon all my yourself, until you can intimidate that kind of crew all alone then you haven't even started to know how to play this game. If you're still sailing around in your brown non-painted ship with white cloth as sails, it shows you have not experienced the game enough but when you're rolling up in a painted ship with an actual flag then you have the right to say this game has little content if you wish.… Expand

I played the open beta, I understand all the nuances with the boating system but can easily see why people are frustrated. There is no tutorial outside of the cryptic tips given during the loading screens, and for all Rare have put into making this system feel good they've completely skimped on an explanation. Sure new players can search it up, but when they're using Xbox Game Pass, why even bother when you can move onto the next game?
    Aside from that, I think Sea of Thieves is worth picking up if you are whiling to pick up some skills on the fly, and the visual fidelity as well as ease of basic mechanics such as movement and questing are great. While there aren't a crazy amount of different quests, there sure are a ton of ways to earn money and unlock sweet loot, so I'm pleased with what there right now. I thought I'd just add that I played a good amount with friends and also myself, and even when I was captaining a sloop the experience never got lonely whether it be by way of chickens or other inquisitive pirates.

    Well... If they wanted the biggest disappointment award, they earned it for sure. The game itself gets boring after maybe 10-20 hours and since the game is full price, it's almost outrageously bad for the price. Even with friends, the game quickly becomes duller then a rusty knife and has to be one of my most hated games right now.

    Jogo muito bom e viciante para jogar com os amigos, da pra passar horas e mais horas sem ao menos perceber que estava amanhecendo e todos teriam que ir trabalhar sem ao menos dormir.

    We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
