The game's soundtrack was also top-notch, with a perfect mix of both new and familiar tracks that perfectly complemented the gameplay.

    Speaking of gameplay, the sequel introduced a range of new mechanics that added a new layer of depth and complexity to the overall experience. The combat system, in particular, was significantly improved, with new abilities and weapons that allowed for more strategic and varied gameplay.

    But what really set this sequel apart from the first game was the storytelling. The plot was even more engaging and emotionally charged than before, with well-written characters and unexpected plot twists that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire game.

    Overall, I can confidently say that this sequel is a masterpiece and a shining example of how to improve upon an already great game.     Somehow they took BotW and made it even more open world. The theme of this game should be "Hey, whatever works". The story is great and adds a ton to the already existing Zelda lore and it's fun to see what characters from BotW are doing a few years later.

Que je suis content d'être là pour jouer à ce qui sera pour moi un des meilleurs jeux de ma vie. Il améliore tout ce que Botw faisait déjà de bien dans son level design et corrige ce qui déplaisait aux fans de la license( armes, déplacements etc), mais il ajoute tellement en contenu, je pensais avoir fini le jeu en ayant le même nombre de sanctuaires que dans Botw mais non le jeu est bien plus riche, bien plus vaste, le scénario bien mieux écrit tout en restant du Zelda, les npc sont plus interactifs qu'avant. Le combat final corrige le manque de difficulté et de sensation épique qu'on pouvait reprocher à Botw.
    Pour ce qui est du reste, le gameplay offre tellement au joueur à lui par sa propre imagination de s'approprier son Hyrule. Ce jeu sera mon jardin, un lieu où je me promenerai pour sûr à l'avenir.    … Expand

    This game did the impossible, and improved on breath of the wild in every conceivable way, and managed to make breath of the wild look like a glorified proof of concept.

    Espectacular en cada cada apartado , sorprendente. Tuve mis dudas previo al lanzamiento final pero estoy sin palabras. Cada vez que armo algún objeto es memorable y lleno de diversión.

    Lástima que gente de PS que no comprende realmente lo que significa gameplay venga a hacer reviewbombing. Si no tienen nada a que jugar no vengan a molestar. He visto muchas tears ultimamente =(!!!!

    When I first started playing, I thought it would be more of the same and I could stop playing at any time to play another game. However, 2 weeks later, I can't play anything but Tears of the Kingdom. I am extremely addicted and have no desire to finish. I want to know and enjoy this whole world.

    Um dos melhores jogos que joguei em muito tempo, é muito foda você se dar conta que gastou horas e horas de jogo sem nem se dar conta de tão imerso que o mundo é, infelizmente ainda não tem localização em português, mas minha experiência não foi muito afetada por isso por já saber inglês, ainda sim é um adendo.

    Amazing game, takes everything that made BOTW awesome and builds on it. You can sink hours into the game technically accomplishing nothing and still have a blast. Only negative is some frame rate issues when using ultra hand( mostly in sky from what I’ve noticed) but not enough to deter from the awesome gameplay or the immense interactive open world

    Absolute best in the entire series. This is such a huge improvement on everything BOTW accomplished and manages to outshine it at almost every opportunity. I continue to be impressed at how much variety and new gameplay there is to find since the prequel.

    A perfect game.... almost. If it wasn't for the aged switch hardware this game would be rated 100 or 101 overall but due to some stuttering when using abilities, it's taken a hit.

    Still it wipes the floor with every other game ever to come out.

    This game is a masterpiece. It's better than BOTW which till now was my all time favorite game. This game causes you to think, if you're the type of gamer who actually likes to figure out extremely complex puzzles and who enjoys innovative game play mechanics then saddle up and return to Hyrule. Enjoy!

    We finally have dungeons!!! The weapon system got a lot better since BOTW, there are nearly infinite amounts of weapons to make, they are still breaking but that only makes fighting more interesting. The fuse ability is a game changer while fighting, attaching a spring to your shield makes you jump higher, and you can confuse your opponent with special kinds of mushrooms which makes theWe finally have dungeons!!! The weapon system got a lot better since BOTW, there are nearly infinite amounts of weapons to make, they are still breaking but that only makes fighting more interesting.     The abilities are completely different and the absolute freedom you have is ridiculously fun. The story is great, better told than BotW imo.
    The new weapon fusions add yet another layer to the combat as well as a method to make weapons last much longer.    The game is definitely a sequel to BotW, and even with the same map (which makes sense) it's been changed enough to work as a new game.

    To sum up this review, take Breath of the Wild, a game I gave a 9/10 to and make it bigger with sky islands and the depths, better with more and new craft-able options that makes almost every single item you get in this game useful and then raise the bar by adding physic breaking abilities. The main quests and side quests are great which is the same as exploring the world where you will find yourself finding something interesting that side tracks you almost every turn you make. Last but not least this massive open-world game adds physic breaking abilities and the game launch experience is smooth which is impressive for a game like this on the Nintendo Switch no less.

    Nintendo took a grand slam and then launched it out of the park and is by far the best Nintendo game I have ever played, dating back to the N64.

Id love to see better graphics but I love the atomspheric feel and anime style. My only complaints are the rewind time ability displaying the path of objects is a little too opaque, it blocks me from clearly seeing whats going on sometimes. And to the people review bombing and giving the game 0 out of 10, grow up. Im glad I dont know anyone who would rate TotK as a Zero, they must be soul-less jerks who took one look at the graphics and quit. Or uncreative people who find no joy in games unless their being dropped into a shrinking circle from the sky in a battle royale FPS. If you don't like TotK and actually played it, be honest and give it at least a 5 or 7 or something reasonable. Zero is reserved for the worst game of all time, not one of the best of all time. People trying to review bomb it have not played at all. Being a sequel, almost nothing resembles Botw. 10/10

    As a sequel to breath of the wild, this game is so much more. Those who have played both games can attest to just how much more content there is in this game when compared to what was in BOTW. Not only is there an excess of content but that content is more or less better in every way then what BOTW had to offer. The world isn't empty whatsoever, the story is absolutely amazing (with a finale thatTears of the Kingdom takes what it's predecessor did so great and somehow makes it even greater. The creators thought of countless ways to get people discovering more and more of hyrule and investing so much time into finding every nook and cranny of the map with a map that dwarves Breath of the Wilds. The world isn't empty whatsoever, the story is absolutely amazing (with a finale that will become one of the series most iconic I have no doubt), and music which immerses the player in every event, battle or exploration.     Some people are hating on this game for no reason, if you liked Botw you will love this game, the only bad thing its the performance, sometimes it drops to 15/20 but is much less frequent on the Doc, I absolutely recommend!

    Fortunately at least some game makers still can make a good quality game and it is not only about the graphics but overall. In my opinion "The Tears of The Kingdom" is a great sequel of a great game, the quality of the game is very good and I love attention to details , this is rare thing in modern games.

    The rest of the game makers should take Zelda BOTW/TOTK as an example and finally understand that the gameplay is the most important thing in a game, just a cool picture is not enough, it should be interesting to play first of all and a game must work well on release!

    To be honest, I don't understand the outrage of people who say that this game has old graphics. Did you expect that Switch will magically get an additional graphics card with the release of the new Zelda?
    Considering the size of this game, the developers have done an incredible work to make make it so well.

    I agree that not everything is absolutely perfect in this game but I'll put the highest score as some little issues doesn't make any troubles and most likely will be fixed soon.

    This game is not a DLC, there is a plenty of a new interesting content, new features and ideas, it is huge and awesome. Don't listen anyone who is moaning that it is a full price DLC, it is not true, If you are the BOTW fan you will love this game!    … Expand

It builds off its predecessors ambitions, rounds the edges on the balance between adventure and combat and somehow welcomes you into the story while seamlessly introducing new mechanics in less than 45 minutes. TOTK delivers a one of a kind experience that feels familiar andThis is a great Zelda game! The thing that stood out to me is that TOTK has a much more accessible feel than BOTW.     This game is genuinely phenomenal, a big improvement over the gameplay and the open world, the puzzles are great and I love exploring the world and everything it has to offer, incredibly satisfied so far, what a special and absolutely remarkable videogame (Review in Progress).

    If you love BOTW you will love this game. If you haven't loved it, you won't love TOTK. I think it's a great game with wonderful game design choices and many things to do. There are caves, the sky islands, the depth, bosses in the open world, good side quests... Especially the enemy variety was increased. You can now be more creative than in BOTW. Outfits are easier to get and you canIf you love BOTW you will love this game. If you haven't loved it, you won't love TOTK. I think it's a great game with wonderful game design choices and many things to do. There are caves, the sky islands, the depth, bosses in the open world, good side quests... Especially the enemy variety was increased. You can now be more creative than in BOTW. Outfits are easier to get and you can change their Colours. Fuse and Ultrahand are easy to use and provide many options. No playthrough is the same.
    The story might be the best Zelda Story of all time. I didn't expect Nintendo to tell such an emotional story in one of their games. Especially the cutscenes with Ganondorf are spectacular.    … Expand

    On sait déjà que le jeu est une suite directe de BOTW, et donc il est normal que l'histoire se passe dans le même univers, et déjà dès le début TOTK pose l'intrigue proprement et nous montre comment on est toujours dans Hyrule de la fin de BOTW et comment les changements vont être déclenchés.     I am roughly 12 hours into the game and I gotta say. This is one of the BEST games I have ever played. So much detail is packed into this world and everything about it from the people to music, art to gameplay is just stunning. Even with the slight drawbacks this game is still EASILY a 10/10

    When you thought that Zelda BOTW was already the peak of gaming, and yet team Aounuma continued to surpass our expectations, with the new build mechanics, total of 3 maps and balanced story in open world settings, and yes best moment of Master Sword yet in the franchise history.
    Absolute masterpiece.

    Fantastic game. Finished it after about 60 hours of playtime, and none of that felt tiresome or tedious. Every flaw that breath of the wild had has been reduced to a minimum and the only negatives about this game are minor nitpicks. It deserves to be considered one of the best open world game of all times, alongside the Witcher 3, Skyrim and elden ring.

    Totk is a masterpiece and what botw should've been. Even though I'm not a fan of bowt, totk is just so much better in just about everything you could think of. I haven't felt with a game in years and the prologue of this game is by far the best on any Zelda game. This is the best game you can play in nintendo switch.

    Zelda is a great modern masterpiece, one of those games that make next-gen games that focus on graphics without bringing anything really innovative and next-generation pale.
    A sequel capable of elevating and making what was already one of the best games ever made feel like a beta.

    Wow. What a sequel. This game takes everything from BOTW and turns it up to 11. The new powers feel well thought out. The new enemies are great, exploring the caves, the dungeons, the depths are all fantastic additions. Even though you’re back in Hyrule not once I have felt like this is just a rehash or DLC.

TOTK is a full, expansive, and all encompassing open world game filled to the brim with ingenuity, exploration, and fun.

    TOTK is basically BOTW on steroids, the open world we loved exploring    Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK), the new mainline Zelda game from Nintendo, offers a feeling I have not felt in 6ish years since the previous Zelda game, Breath of the Wild (BOTW), came out in 2017. TOTK is a full, expansive, and all encompassing open world game filled to the brim with ingenuity, exploration, and fun.

    TOTK is basically BOTW on steroids, the open world we loved exploring before is back for the most part, with additional areas and surprises, with new updates, shrines, caves, wells, and beyond to explore. New abilities offer near unlimited character and creative options to explore, materials and devices can be melded in any way the user sees fit to aid in their exploration and experience in this open and beautiful vision of Hyrule. In addition to an expansive ground level, dark depths and open skies await the player, exponentially increasing the scope and exploration potential to be had.

    Everything here is working in unison to guide the player to every wonderful and interactive space that they have created. Quests, main or side, lead you to stables or villages with quirky characters who are in need of aid. These lead you past shrines, caves, chasms, or other engaging landmarks. The only area that feels somewhat played out or empty is the ground level in some areas, likely due to it being roughly the same landmass as it was before in BOTW. Also, many of the new features, wells, caves, etc. are not readily visible on the surface sometimes. Long stretches can be found off the beaten path with seemingly no real direction or appeal.

    The story is a good straight forward Zelda tale, the voice acting is excellent and the lore, while shallow, is engaging. I do wish maybe some more care had been put into the distribution and ordering of the main quests. The game really does not want to hamstring the players exploration in any way, but it does come at a cost in story terms. Dragon tear memories can be found throughout Hyrule that give backstory on the area and Zelda's wherabouts. The problem is they are not given in any order, so you could watch the climax of the story before getting to even know the characters. Main quests to find the master sword can be done early on that spoil the dragons tears storyline, characters will be openly discussing how we need to find the master sword while it is sheathed on Link's back.

    None of these small issues are enough to detract from the massive accomplishment Nintendo has put out here. Tears of the Kingdom is one of the greatest games of all time, a wonderful and engaging blend of exploration, charm, and creativity.    … Expand
