    A story superior to its predecessor, which was already an excellent game with great game play, makes Zelda Tears of the Kingdom one of the best games I've ever played in my life. Even things like weapons breaking cause the player to have to try various items, so even that which some consider a problem I consider a good strategy.

The story in tears is much better and more interesting, the dungeons are very fun and the depths are awesome, it's the only game fun enough for me to want to 100% it. The ganondorf fight was really fun and every boss was cool, the ending when you catch Zelda got me so emotional.
    The only downside is the sky islands, there are very little of them wich is a bit sad, but the depths make up for it. This is a must play for any gamer in the world. The graphics are on the top, it doesn't need 120fps and 4k, the building is fun and the depths and sky are beautiful, you could be exploring this world for hours even if you already done it in botw, there are so many new things to do in this familiar yet new hyrule.    … Expand

    Just about the perfect sequel. Whereas Breath of the Wild was a game about the joys of exploration and discovery, this is a game about the joys of creation and ingenuity. Whereas Breath of the Wild was about finding and climbing the mountain, this game is about flying up the mountain in a space shuttle, blowing up the mountain, and using it as parts for an unheard-of death machine.Just about the perfect sequel. Whereas Breath of the Wild was a game about the joys of exploration and discovery, this is a game about the joys of creation and ingenuity. Whereas Breath of the Wild was about finding and climbing the mountain, this game is about flying up the mountain in a space shuttle, blowing up the mountain, and using it as parts for an unheard-of death machine. (metaphorically, of course.) Where Breath of the Wild let you choose where to go and when to do it, this game lets you choose how to go and what to do. It manages to add amazing new areas, along with somehow making the old ones feel new again. It manages to be both an outstanding vessel for your creativity and a fantastic open-world RPG. Every new mechanic works beautifully. Everything is well thought out. While the moment-to-moment writing and dialogue isn't as on point as in Breath of the Wild, this is a small blemish in an otherwise nearly perfect game. The overarching story writing makes up for it as well. The physics and creativity the game allows are breathtaking. The score/soundtrack is fantastic. The game feels very different to Breath of the Wild, but not in a way that is better or worse. Just... different. Some parts bring joy. Some fear. Some amazement. And almost always, they are absolutely incredible. They managed to make a sequel that is equal to Breath of the Wild. A truly *ahem* breathtaking experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom takes everything its predecessor did right, and made it better. Fantastic dungeons, fun bosses and an insane finale are all things this game did right. It felt longer than Breath of The Wild but never dragged on. The Demon King Ganondorf boss fight really had me on the edge of my seat and before the final battle, when you had to fight all of those enemies had me smiling all the way. However the best thing about this Game of The Year is easily, Sidon returns.… Expand

    30 Hours in, I’ve only scratched the surface. Tears of the Kingdom improves upon Breath of the Wild's formula and changes it in unique ways. If you liked Breath of the Wild, and/or previous Zelda games, this is an absolute must play.

    people seem obsessed with such titles of game of the year and all that. Can we just call this Game! move on to just enjoying a masterpiece that is a full coherent game out of the box, allows for endless fun, daft designs and korok torment without even needing to add in mods

    Graphics: Not super but you're playing this game on switch
    Gameplay: New abilities are super, but i want to use breath of the wild abilities.
    Story: This game telling imprisoning war (Ocarina of the time, Hero's defeated) and you can with with Ganondorf
    I think this game is gonna become a goty.

    As I entered the game, a familiar feeling washed over me, and my worries reached their peak. I even started to think that it might be nothing more than a large DLC with some item synthesis and crafting mechanics.

    However, it wasn't until I immersed myself in the game for a couple of hours that I realized the true depth of its gameplay. I thought I understood the Ultrahand, Recall, and Ascend, but I was repeatedly amazed by the possibilities of its amazing diverse combinations. From diving from the floating island into the dark underworld and riding a Autobuilded flying motorcycle to illuminate the underground world, I finally understood.

    "Tears of the Kingdom" is not just a DLC for "Breath of the Wild"; rather, "Breath of the Wild" was a gorgeous crafted prologue to "Tears of the Kingdom."

    Once again, I immerse in the Nintendo Style Shock. Not only in its meticulously designed new gameplay, story, maps, and puzzles but also in its ability to show me that adding new gameplay "Elements" is always limited. However, by creating new "Dimensions" of gameplay and allowing old and new elements to multiply and expand boundaries in different "Dimensions", a game can truly approach infinity.    … Expand

I don't want to spoil anything (so I won't) I just want to say it's incredible and has exceeded my expectations. I went on a complete blackout before the game released and managed to avoid all spoilers. Sólo con la zona del tutorial el juego rompió completamente con mis expectativas, y me hizo sentir como cuando recorría por primera vez las afueras del castillo en Mario 64... Posibilidades infinitas, tu imaginación es el límite. Una historia mucho más presente y mejor contada que BOTW, la música ídem, los templos temáticos vuelven... Y por si fuera poco,Nintendo lo ha vuelto a hacer... Sólo con la zona del tutorial el juego rompió completamente con mis expectativas, y me hizo sentir como cuando recorría por primera vez las afueras del castillo en Mario 64... Posibilidades infinitas, tu imaginación es el límite. Una historia mucho más presente y mejor contada que BOTW, la música ídem, los templos temáticos vuelven... Y por si fuera poco, el juego es DIFÍCIL, agregándole un componente extra de reto.     I suggest not using fast travel, to really get the most out of the experience. Massive, yet dense world. Story is even more fantasy immersion. If all you see is BOTW DLC, I fear what life may look like through your eyes. Historic work of art and an engineering marvel.

    Pas de spoil, juste l'avis d'un joueur amoureux de la licence. Oui, graphiquement, c'est de la Switch, mais dans ce qu'il ce fait de mieux. Et mon seul bémol, c'est la prise en mai, moins fluide et rapide que BOTW. Car les possibilités sont enormes et demandent donc pas mal de manipulation. Mais une fois cette étape passé ? Que du plaisir. On a la possibilité d'effectuer les actions pourPas de spoil, juste l'avis d'un joueur amoureux de la licence. Oui, graphiquement, c'est de la Switch, mais dans ce qu'il ce fait de mieux. Et mon seul bémol, c'est la prise en mai, moins fluide et rapide que BOTW.     new abilities that link got are just so **** cool. The dungeons, skies, caves and underground are so cool to have in a world that was already expanded in the previous game. This game is just so good that I can not even explain you in my words. Just go and try this game by yourself.

    Es un juego simplemente fantástico, lograron lo que muy poca gente creía posible, superar a BOTW. Añadieron nuevas mecánicas que parecen muy complejas a simple vista, pero que con un poco de practica eres capaz de manejarlas perfectamente. Se creía que al tener el mismo mapa se iba a sentir aburrido, pero todo lo contrari, podemos ver cambios en la distintas aldeas, como Kakariko yEs un juego simplemente fantástico, lograron lo que muy poca gente creía posible, superar a BOTW. Añadieron nuevas mecánicas que parecen muy complejas a simple vista, pero que con un poco de practica eres capaz de manejarlas perfectamente. Se creía que al tener el mismo mapa se iba a sentir aburrido, pero todo lo contrari, podemos ver cambios en la distintas aldeas, como Kakariko y Hatelia, además de algunos pequeños pueblos al rededor del mapa, además que cambiaron con que rellenar el mapa, donde antes no había nada, ahora te puedes encontrar cofres, y donde antes habían cosas, las cambiaron por otras cosas aún mejores. Los nuevos santuarios si se sienten como mazmorras, arreglando uno de los pocos problemas que tenía BOTW. La integración del subsuelo y del cielo es algo simplemente increíble, pudiendo ver la potencia real de la switch y como se ve un juego 100% desarrollado para está consola… Expand

    240 hours later, I still haven't 100% the game. I think this might be my favorite game of all time. I am a PC gamer who only got a switch so late in 2023 is to play BOTW and TOTK. BOTW was 10/10 and TOTK surpasses that.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Right from the get go, the game does not disappoint. It beautifully expands on the already amazing foundation of Breath of the Wild; even in it's first few hours, the game well justifies the $70 price tag, over doubling the world of the previous game, while making the original map new and fresh, yet still familiar. In the tutorial, I felt as though I was making my own decisions, but I know that the game was subtly leading me. It is clear when you look back at your path, but not when you're in the action. It is crazy to think that a sequel to a game like Breath of the Wild could be better, and in many ways it is!
    However, it is a much more challenging game (git gud mentality), but it's not unwelcome. The game's towers are much harder to get into, making the map that much more valuable since you're going to go a while in an area before you get it. All in all, the game gives you less to start off with, and much tougher enemies to fight.
    In terms of story/game-path it follows the breath of the wild formula to a "t," with the exception of the beginning, which is all exposition, with no real game play. The tutorial area is beautiful, and explains many of the games core mechanics outside of shrines. I really like this way of explaining the game, abilities are shown in the four shrines, and other things that will be needed throughout the game are explained in the larger world. Shrines that go more in depth on the game's "devices" are on the world below, but a crash course is given in the tutorial.
    Every step of the way, Tears of the Kingdom builds upon what made Breath of the Wild amazing, while fixing many of its flaws, and bringing the game-play, world, combat, and everything else up three levels. Easily worth the $70 price and defiantly my game of the year pick.    … Expand

It performs very well, even on a 2017 hardware and has a breathtaking artistic direction. It runs at a constant 30 fps and very rarely drops to 25. I played so many hours of botw and there’s so much to do, there are so many new things and secrets in game, so I obviously recommend this game to anyone.

    I have zero complaints about this game and the world is familiar but it still feels like a whole new world. This game meets expectations with flying colors and it raises the bar. Nintendo hearf almost every complaint they got from Breath of the Wild and they fixed the problem in creative ways!

    I wonderful video game you must play, impossible to get bored exploring this new and updated Hyrule. The new mechanics, the story, the characters, the music and sounds, for me is one of the best games in history. Easily you will need 200 hours to complete the game.

    Well done Nintendo,you just can't beat Japanese originality,how they managed to build on beyond Breath of the Wild baffles me but they did.Try not to use youtube and guides if you can for extra wonder.Just an amazing game.Highly recommend

DO NOT listen to the reviews giving this game 7 and downwards, it’s full of Elden ring and Sony fanboys trying to make this seem less than it is, quite literally the best game ever made and a fully deserving 10.

    Supera por mucho lo que planteo el Zelda breath of the wild añadiendo mecánicas nuevas que interactúan de manera orgánica con el mundo creado añadiendo zonas en el cielo y bajo tierra así como el gran Hyrule en la superficie y si recicla cosas del mundo y es normal ya que es una secuela y eso la hace más realistas aún , además que muestra un sistema de físicas en un video juego que casiSupera por mucho lo que planteo el Zelda breath of the wild añadiendo mecánicas nuevas que interactúan de manera orgánica con el mundo creado añadiendo zonas en el cielo y bajo tierra así como el gran Hyrule en la superficie y si recicla cosas del mundo y es normal ya que es una secuela y eso la hace más realistas aún , además que muestra un sistema de físicas en un video juego que casi llega a lo real, es absurdo como cada detalle en el juego nos hace sentir un juego tan vivo y orgánico incentivando al jugador a la exploración y la capacidad de crear infinitas posibilidades para jugar y hacer lo que te plazca en el basto Hyrule haciendo que el jugador tenga camino libre para vivir su aventura de manera diferente. Por esto creo que merece un 10 superó a su anterior entrega cogiendo todo lo bueno de esta y aportando mecánicas revolucionarias a nivel del mundo creado por Nintendo, Para mi una obra maestra.… Expand

    The new mechanics are realy fun to mess around with. The game makes you feel good about yourself whenever you solve the puzzles, which are designed very well. Totk had a lot to live up to after the succes of Botw, but i feel like it surpassed its predecessor by a lot.

    As the sequel to my second favorite game of all time, I had high expectations. This game lived up to all of them. All the issues I had with Breath of the Wild have been fixed, and once recency bias has settled down this still may be my new favorite game of all time. This game is an absolute masterpiece.

    Tears of the Kingdom compared to Breath of the Wild is like the original Shrek compared to Shrek 2. TotK is magnificent, playing BOTW feels like watching the first Shrek, which is good, but there's just an outstanding second part.

    My rating is 10 Shreks out of 10, and I think they will improve performance.

    C’est un excellent jeu ! Botw était un très bon jeux mais par rapport à botw: Tears of the kingdom est plus complet, les énigmes plus complexe. L’ambiance général est à la fois tellement différente est appréciable grâce à tous les ajouts, les nouveaux monstres, les grottes sans compter les nouvelles zones. Botw a beau être mieux noté par la presse et les joueurs. L’habit ne fait pas leC’est un excellent jeu ! Botw était un très bon jeux mais par rapport à botw: Tears of the kingdom est plus complet, les énigmes plus complexe.     The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
