    As a sequel it's pretty much everything that i ever wanted. Also the new mechanics in the game is super fun to use and utilize, the only thing is that for people who played botw and didn't enjoy it, will most likely not like this game, but as someone who put in 250 hours in botw this game is a absolute dream come true and lives to the hype and the sky islands and the underground are superAs a sequel it's pretty much everything that i ever wanted. Also the new mechanics in the game is super fun to use and utilize, the only thing is that for people who played botw and didn't enjoy it, will most likely not like this game, but as someone who put in 250 hours in botw this game is a absolute dream come true and lives to the hype and the sky islands and the underground are super fun in my personel opinion. And it's incredible how a potato consoles is able to play this games in pretty much consistent 30 fps, but the frames sometime drops, especially in villages or when building, but if that doesn't bother you then i fully recommend this game.… Expand

    This game is the product of what happens when you take an already amazing game as a base, and somehow improve on it even more. TOTK is the perfect sequel to BOTW, giving an even better experience and even more content to do, while still maintaining the freedom to play your way.

    Ce jeu est superbe. Un bel héritage et une suite digne de BOTW.
    Les mécaniques de jeu toujours inovantes.
    Le contenu et l'open world sont gargantuesque.
    Une bande son toujours aussi plaisante et tranquille.
    La switch delivre le maximum de ses entrailles ducoup les graphismes sont parfois un petit peu en retrait mais la direction artistique le fait vite oublier.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To be noted: i didnt fully finish the game, but I know enough to rate it

    1. Lets start from the graphics: they are really beautiful but they still have the classic look from botw (which i love by the way)
    2. The plot, is a Little differnent, because in botw you had to discovery everything by yourself, almost no guidance, but in TK you have more guidance. Here you have something more specific, like the battle on the desert. But I think thats nice, especially its only a Little bit more, and I remember when botw came out i was really confused and had problems. Here i have them too (wich is kinda awesome that you have to think by yourself).
    3. Gameplay is great, really. It has the classic mechanics from botw like dodging but also has new one like attaching things on Arrow. It has so many surprising things and when you buy the game and walk through it, you have the simple excitation like a kid if you bought botw.

    In a climate of story-driven "narrative-focused" games which rarely spare a thought to what a game should actually be, this game will suck hours out of your life and you won't even realise it. Whilst it sticks a little too close to the tenets established in BOTW, it is nonetheless a true testament to art and craft in video games. Very deserving of the praise it gets!

    One of greatest game which work as fine just out of box on pc without any shutter and performance issue, it feel generation passed to see a game work fine out of box as pc gamer, not like last of us which made excited then make me feel terrible for pre-orders and also gave me ptsd for buying any pc game on pc.     This game is probably some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game. The story is pretty good and the world feels incredibly alive, even more so than the previous game. The new building mechanic is amazing and allows you to create anything if you are creative enough to do so.

    Bon les gars, le jeu est meilleur que botw, les mécaniques 10x meilleures et qui offrent bien plus de possibilités que dans le un. Le retour des temples fait extrêmement plaisir car les créatures divines, c'était drôle à la première mais la quatrième on commençait à souffler fort. Le monde ouvert a été revu, plein de nouvelles quêtes très cool, les anciens lieux revisités, les sousBon les gars, le jeu est meilleur que botw, les mécaniques 10x meilleures et qui offrent bien plus de possibilités que dans le un. Ça offre toujours un petit détour sympathique avec quelque chose à la clé comme un sanctuaire. D'ailleurs les sanctuaires parlons-en, tellement mieux que dans botw niveau énigme, plusieurs façons de résoudre ces casse tête, de nouveaux styles de sanctuaires... Bref ce jeu est incroyable et sera je l'espère le jeu de l'année car il mérite amplement. Un exploit que ce jeu puisse tourner sur une console comme la Switch et ça se remarque, quelque baisse de FPS par moments mais rien de bien gênant le jeu reste très largement jouable (comparé à elden ring qui nous faisait des arrêts dans le temps sur pc avec les ram)… Expand

The mechanics in a nutshell are “How did the players break BOTW, and how can we make those a feature”. The people who give low ratings have me seriously doubting they ever played, because all what they say seems to be either fixed, explained through actually playing the game, or some opinion that is widely disagreed with.     GOTY material right here! The first game was the literally the best game I've played ever (I've played a ton of games) and this one is a huge sequel! If this one doesn't get GOTY, I don't know what game will. Nintendo really one of a few big game companies that doesn't release alpha versions of games so that we can playtest, but a complete and perfect game!

    What if you make one of the best games of the last 10 years better? I honestly couldn't imagine that breath of the wild could be better.

    At first I was kinda disappointed that some things felt the same. But why fix something that isn't broken? Being able to discover Hyrule one more time with even more tools was something I don't know I needed. The addition of other two whole map layers in the Sky and the abyss (dark souls reference) was just pure fun.

    The new mechanics allow some incredible puzzle solving and the combat just is pure gold, the addition of the fuse mechanic to create your own weapons mid combat was something just godly.

    This is a sequel where they really had a chance to iron out all the kinks, and give a crazier more dynamic experience. It's had me grinning and laughing hysterically at all of the possibilities the new powers provide. Just take the game at your own pace, and don't let anyone spoil your fun.

    simply a masterpiece ! The story is excellent, the game is even better looking than BOTW was, and the gameplay pushes you to use your imagination. The game has some slowdowns, but it really doesn't bother.

    This game is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the music, the locations and the sheer amount of things to do is astonishing. If you thought Breath of the Wild was good, Tears of the kingdom is like BOTW but on crack. They found a way to truly top its predecessor in every single way while also maintaining what we loved of the first game. If you liked or didnt like BOTW you will love TOTK :).

    I'm only 6-7 hours into this behemoth of a game, and I've not even scratched the surface.

    While exploring Hyrule, on my way to my quest objective, I spot something in the distance and decide to check it out. What I thought was something that may have had a few items to pick up, turned into a puzzle, that really makes you think outside of the box utilising all of Links new abilities,    I'm only 6-7 hours into this behemoth of a game, and I've not even scratched the surface.

    While exploring Hyrule, on my way to my quest objective, I spot something in the distance and decide to check it out. What I thought was something that may have had a few items to pick up, turned into a puzzle, that really makes you think outside of the box utilising all of Links new abilities, which, by the way, have expanded the tried and true mechanics of Breath of the Wild, and somehow manage to blow it out of the water. Solving this puzzle (in whichever way you see fit, there is rarely a single solution) led me to an entirely new area that, if I had continued on my merry way, I would have completely missed. Exploration in this game is obviously encouraged, and the freedom of choice you have to play through this game is what keeps pulling me back in.

    When I'm not playing Tears of the Kingdom, I am trying to plan what contraptions I can construct to help me take down that bokoblin camp that has been giving me grief. I am currently sat at work writing this review, because I cannot stop thinking about getting my hands back on Tears of the Kingdom.    … Expand

To all the complaints about the game charging $70. Don’t know what the issue is as Breath of the    Perfect evolution and sequel to a masterpiece! Clear GOTY 23 contender, if not even winner.

    The ones saying that it’s just the same as BOTW, didn’t even go further than hyrule field. This is AMAZING! It is so vast and full of stuff to do, and it already has double the amount of BOTW’s story within the first 15 hours of the game! Go play it yourself!

It is so overflowing with creativity and new ideas that, much like Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, it's hard to believe it was created by human minds. It addresses every single complaint from Breath of the Wild and improves on it in ways I hadn't even imagined. The new gameplay loop betweenI'm 30 years old and Tears of the Kingdom is the best video game I've ever played in my life.     Es übertrifft den Vorgänger, die Fähigkeiten, welche man im Spiel bekommt sind wirklich was außergewöhnliches, es ermöglichen sich einem so tolle Möglichkeiten mit der riesigen Spielwelt zu interagieren. Das Setting, die Story, die Umsetzung.. es fesselt einen und man möchte immer mehr und mehr.

    Even though I’ve just started the game it’s already looking to be as good or even better than BOTW, yes mechanics, graphics, and gameplay are pretty much the same, but the whole ambiance feels different, and the concept of sky islands, and underground depths is really entertaining. Loving it!

    It's even better than botw. Something I never thought would be possible. Every flaw that botw had were improved. If you liked botw then you'll love totk. If you hated botw you'll hate totk. If you missed the classical zelda but enjoyed botw you will absolutely want to play this game

    This gam is for sure GOTY. This is in no way dlc and expands the whole map to unimaginable extents, while the incredible new physics and game mechanics make the old map feel brand new. I’m surprised that they managed this in 6 years. Incredible. Great story as well, much better than botw, and enjoyable dungeons too! Absaloutely perfect in every way!

    Amazing game, does not deserve some of the hate it gets.

    Pros: Great story, dungeons?, abilities are great and huge upgrades from before despite what some people say. And the world has expanded, more than 2 fold. Huge win for Nintendo.

    Oh boy, where do I begin?

    I've had this game pre-ordered since February, and I have to say I had never been so excited for a video game in my life. I can safely say that Tears of the Kingdom is living up to the hype. It takes everything that worked in Breath of the Wild and adds it to what could, perhaps, be considered a more traditional Zelda story and structure. Shrines are still    Oh boy, where do I begin?

    I've had this game pre-ordered since February, and I have to say I had never been so excited for a video game in my life. I can safely say that Tears of the Kingdom is living up to the hype. It takes everything that worked in Breath of the Wild and adds it to what could, perhaps, be considered a more traditional Zelda story and structure.

    Shrines are still here, which I love. In the last game, they were a great way to test your puzzle-solving abilities, as well as practice using the Sheikah Slate abilities you had in the previous game. That ethos is continued in Tears of the Kingdom, but the puzzles have had to be altered slightly to accommodate the new Zonai abilities we have due to Link's very snazzy right arm.

    I also love how you can basically build anything out of anything with Link's new Ultrahand ability. It allows for some really creative ways to solve puzzles in the world in general as well as shrines, and for you to get creative when trying to find your way around. Ultrahand definitely has to be my favourite ability, just for the sheer number of possibilities it unlocks.

    One final thing: the soundtrack in this game is incredible, as Breath of the Wild's was. It feels more dynamic than it's predecessor's, but it really works. Breath of the Wild took place in a post-apocalyptic Hyrule, while this same Hyrule has attempted to heal from the Calamity of the last game, and has been dealt a major blow. Certainly in the one major story quest I'm doing at the moment, the music seems more urgent, like there is an immediate threat to the world.

    All in all, I absolutely love this game, and I personally think it overshadows Breath of the Wild. In years to come, Tears of the Kingdom will be regarded as one of the best games of its era, and an indication that Nintendo fully knows what they're doing with the Zelda series now. The new world is amazing and makes you want to explore it further, especially with the new abilities which make the old ones look boring. What's not boring is the new, changed Hyrule. It's based on the old map (with many changes), but that's just the "ground level Hyrule". Without spoiling too much... there are new areas, and they're BIG and full of things new to explore.

    If this game didn't meet your expectations, that's on you. But you can't deny that the game was made with care and passion. The way I like to play games, I already see myself putting an unholy amount of time into this gem.

    Other then the Unwelcomed FPS drops its probably the greatest game ever made. Breath of the Wild walked so Tears of the Kingdom could run.

    Tears of The Kingdom is the perfect sequel that all BOTW fans could dream:

    - The game is really beautiful, yes technical can limit but for a switch, the graphics is really insane
    - All default of the previous game is corrected: better dungeon, more mob variety, more tools to create weapon and custom expérience.

    The only default for me is you can't stock more than 64 photo in the tablet xD

    I don't know how but they upgraded the first one, its true that its similar in a lot of ways but its a sequel so it works. it doesnt get repetitive if u played the previous one but if u didnt play botw go directly to this one because u gonna enjoy it even more. A lot of ppl is talking about fps or resolution issues but thats switch's fault, the game works the best he can do so i dont thinkI don't know how but they upgraded the first one, its true that its similar in a lot of ways but its a sequel so it works. it doesnt get repetitive if u played the previous one but if u didnt play botw go directly to this one because u gonna enjoy it even more. History is better told in this game and gets u into it since the start, even thought isnt as iconic as old zelda histories are its good.     Great game. Biggest open world I’ve played: sky, surface, and underground. And all the transitions are seamless, other than shrines. Story is amazing.

The world feels denser and more lived in. Every character adds to the world. Even in side quests. Next, the new abilities are just so dang fun. You can do anything and solving problems is as creative and ingeniousTears of the Kingdom is a worthy successor to Breath of the Wild that not only reaches the same standard, but often exceeds it, taking the Zelda series to fantastic new heights. Add in upper and lower, and deep lower levels, and the game is massive. Finally, though, I am actually interested in the story. The best game of the year, don't pay attention to those negative reviews, they are all bitter people who don't know what this game really is, everything changed compared to Breath of the wild, maybe the map is the same but it's so changed that It doesn't feel the same, the abilities are very entertaining to use, I miss the ones from BOTW but honestly these are perfect to cool off a bit, their graphics, even though they are exactly the same, do not cease to amaze how good they look on a nintendo switch, the style artistic of the game is artwork. On top of that the game adds 2 totally new areas on the map, the sky and the underground, the sky are very separate islands full of shrines, puzzles and many more things, and the underground is a hyrule map full of new things and things that You will never expect, the work that Nintendo did to make it so different from Breath Of the Wild is incredible, it has its 10/10 well deserved! highly recommended!!… Expand

    It's sad that we can't put 11. This game is not perfect, the main quest before each dungeon is not great in my opinion and the way botw handle the order of the main quest is also better but the shear amount of content this game have to offer is amazing, the side quests are great and there is a lot of side adventures as it's called in the game witch are long quest with interesting story.     The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement.
