    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played a bunch of Zelda games over the years, and going in blind to BOTW was truly the pinnacle of it all. For those first few moments, and throughout the rest of the game, it was an absolute gem of an experience, a Diamond being the gem. It’s the standard games SHOULD value, take time to make a game to its absolute best potential. Granted, I see pros AND cons. Dungeons were lackluster, bosses exactly the same, and the world did feel a bit more empty. But it was one of the cases where, hype aside, the good outweighed the bad in such a tremendous and spectacular way. Climbing up that hill to see all of Hyrule still hits me even to this day.

    Tears of the Kingdom is, to me, an INCREDIBLE successor!! Taking the criticisms of BOTW, and following up on that exponentially. Dungeons, while small, ARE present, and the Allies mechanic is a treat! New abilities to help world traversal, the vehicles being so expansive on what you can and can’t do. It’s truly imagination beyond itself, and the way they somehow made hyrule feel fresh (while still being familiar), is astounding. Granted, a LOT of people here complain about the graphics, YES we get it the hardware is not next Gen. But the $70 was NOT for a graphical upgrade, but rather an expanded experience. I’ve only just began and I’m already at like 18 hours, and I’ve yet to scratch a tiny bit of the surface. Beat a dungeon and boss, all that good stuff.

    Point is, BOTW was Nintendo running an experiment, and Tears of the Kingdom was Nintendo being fully confident in what they could produce!    … Expand

    Definitivamente para decir que es un DLC el unico requisito es no haber jugado semejante obra maestra del mundo gaming, de verdad sientes que estas jugando, con todo, fusionando armas con el entorno u objetos o creando medios de transporte con nuestro inventario y un simple par de troncos.     This is the best game that has released in recent times, it is not just BOTW renamed, they took BOTW and somehow added a ton more content and made it better in my opinion. I don’t know why people have to hate on this absolute gem of a game.

    Didn't finish the game yet but this review is early impression, the game take open world games to a new level to exploration and creativity they took everything that's great about BOTW and make it better, the only issue is the fps drops not the end of the world but it need a fix sooner than later.

    Once, I dreamed of a game. A fantasy game where you explore an open world, do side quests and fight various enemies. For some time, I thought that that game doesn't exist. And then, I bought a switch to play mainly Mario games. When I looked up what other good games are there, I saw everyone saying BotW. I played it. It was that game, it was incredible, the best game I've ever played. AndOnce, I dreamed of a game. A fantasy game where you explore an open world, do side quests and fight various enemies. For some time, I thought that that game doesn't exist. And then, I bought a switch to play mainly Mario games. When I looked up what other good games are there, I saw everyone saying BotW. I played it. It was that game, it was incredible, the best game I've ever played. And then, this game comes out. I said: as long as it doesn't make BotW worse, it will be my favourite game. This game has our favourite hyrule with two more maps added, new dungeons, new allies, new story, new enemies, new items, new side quests, new skills, and more possibilities. This game does have the same map, (even though there are two more new maps) but everything else is different. This game shows all the reasons why - even with joycon drift - we are nintendo fans.… Expand

    Absolutely have a blast with this games! Amazing how Nintendo expand this gameplay from Botw, I'm skeptic at first but after I playing 30 hours literally great games. For people who wonder about the map, yes it's the same map from Botw but, literally everything changes, is not the same hyrule you know from the Botw it's totally different 90%, and you can explore Sky, Surface, and TheAbsolutely have a blast with this games! Amazing how Nintendo expand this gameplay from Botw, I'm skeptic at first but after I playing 30 hours literally great games. For people who wonder about the map, yes it's the same map from Botw but, literally everything changes, is not the same hyrule you know from the Botw it's totally different 90%, and you can explore Sky, Surface, and The depth..which is The depth is literally a whole map like the surface is insane, a great new all ability, and all dungeon from 4 region is really unique, so many new monster and add more variant monster from Botw, great puzzle, variety quest including help NPC fight agains bokoblin, and this games force you to thinking what's you gonna do coz you have a freedom to use your own way to solved the problems. I recommended this games if you loved Botw. After 30 hours playing TOTK I feel like Botw is a prototype of TOTK, coz this games it's have so much inovation in term of gameplay features!!… Expand

    Zelda lo hizo otra vez la sensación de libertad, que se logra es incluso superior a la de breath of The wild eso del subsuelo y los cielos fue increíble además de las posibilidades casi infinitas que da la combinación la historia es buenas y en general es como Breath of The wild pero llevado a su punto máximo, además la dificultad aumento bastante algo que de verdad agradezco

    People don't understand that the graphics don't make the experience, for example Hogwarts Legacy has excellent graphics but the gameplay is so boring. I'm not a Nintendo fan at all, but saying that this game is a BotW DLC shows that you have no idea about videogames or haven't played the game enough. Just the tutorial area of TotK is much better than the tutorial area of BotW, and thePeople don't understand that the graphics don't make the experience, for example Hogwarts Legacy has excellent graphics but the gameplay is so boring.     Muy buen juego la verdad, muy buena secuela, totalmente de acuerdo de lo que debe de ser una segunda parte de un juegue y mejorarlo aún más con nuevas mecánicas, físicas aún impresionantes y las nuevas habilidades que hacen que las mecánicas se sientan frescas y libres para tu creatividad.

You can attach things together in order to build litterally anything, like a simple bridge or even more complex constructions like a flying car that can shoot the enemies. The new Fuse ability lets you combine weapons with every material you can see; trees, rocks, machines,The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is an amazing game that adds a lot of new mechanics and a whole new story. You can attach things together in order to build litterally anything, like a simple bridge or even more complex constructions like a flying car that can shoot the enemies. The new Fuse ability lets you combine weapons with every material you can see; trees, rocks, machines, and even other weapons! The variety is incredible and that makes battle a lot better: in the previous game you were likely not going to engage a battle if you could because that would have consumed your weapons, but with fuse you are pretty much always rewarded for killing an enemy, you can in fact you can use the drop to repair your weapons. The ascend ability makes you able to pass through ceiling and floors, which is very usefull to quickly climb mountains if there is a cave in it or to surprise the enemies in their own bases. Lastly there is the recall ability. Recall works as a rewind that sends an object back in time, retracing its movements and returning it to the state and place it was some seconds before. The story is beautyfull and a lot better than the previous game. The world is HUGE and filled with things to do, you can really feel the care for the details. It is almost 3 times bigger than the Hyrule of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the wild. The game is full of things to do and i really loved the freedom the player has, if you like adventure games and the use of creativity this is a must play.… Expand

Las islas flotantes, el subsuelo, puedes explorar cualquier sitio. El comienzo es el mejor comienzo de toda la franquicia, los nuevos santuarios, la subida de dificultad de los NPCs.
    Ha valido la pena la espera.

    I liked Botw but I found that when I wanted to replay it the beginning was quite boring and slow.
    Totk however is fantastic in that regard, because the story starts of and you're immediately immersed. After the tutorial part I've found a lot of awesome stuff that will make me enjoy the game for    My experience is around 10 hours into the game, but I played Botw and will compare them a bit.

After the tutorial part I've found a lot of awesome stuff that will make me enjoy the game for at least 200+ hours. I've seen a lot of bs reviews about the game from the metacritic community, however you can tell that some of them just want to cause chaos. The game is made very good and the only complaint I have so far is the occasional drop of FPS, when the camera is inside the leaves of trees for example and my hope is that the next gen hardware from Nintendo will have support for this generation as well with a lot more power. Anyone who likes Singleplayer experiences and any previous Zelda game will definitely find some fun for themselves here. Comparing this masterpiece to all the other AAA titles, it's the only one deserving the AAA-status so far!    … Expand

    La banda sonora es de 10. El apartado artístico es de 10. El apartado técnico por mucho que la gente diga que    Sin duda una obra maestra para nuestro tiempo, superando a su antecesor, Nintendo lo ha vuelto a hacer. Zelda TOTK ofrece una experiencia completa haciéndote sentir pequeño en un mundo inmenso.

    Una vez más nintendo lo logro, logro que un juego que ya era en su momento perfecto tuviera una secuela que pareciendo imposible logro superarse, el juego es completamente una odisea, tiene lo que todo jugador/gamer ha soñado y con un soundtrack de los GOD.

Tears of the kingdom is the greatest game I have ever played and as with all good things it starts off great.Anything when compared to Breath of the wild seems mediocre, it got so much right and so little wrong. When I played it I had one thought on my mind 'this is the greatest game of all time.' I was wrong, nintendo managed to top themselves yet again and created a true masterpiece. Tears of the kingdom is the greatest game I have ever played and as with all good things it starts off great.

    The tutorial stage of the game has managed to keep the exploratory feel of the Great Plateu from breath of the wild and reinvented it whilst also managing to seamlessly integrate the storytelling elements and thus creating an intrigue that lasts throughout it all. I have nothing other to say than thst it is completely stunning and absolutely perfect.

My opinion might change, but I'm 3 hours in and everything about this masterpiecevis litterally perfect, It keeps the best from BotW and makes it even better. If you like BotW you already love TotK. A guaranteed must-play.

The game feels like BOTW and runs on the same system yet it is very different. Theres so much more to this game, Its not a DLC at all.     It was a perfect game for me. I also enjoyed the story and the feeling of soaring through the sky during the journey. However, the only disappointment was the frame drops due to the performance limitations of the Nintendo Switch hardware.

    Masterpiece!! This game is amazing in every way. A game that I could play for years and never get sick of. If you bash this game, you obviously haven't even gave it a chance. I get it won't be for everyone but if you give this game a bad rating you just hate life.

    Tears of the Kingdom is phenomenal! It did not miss a beat from the excellence of Breath of the Wild. Already on it's first day, people have discovered so many cool things about it, like Link can craft a skateboard and do tricks and also roast Korok's on a rotisserie - LOL!!! Can't wait to see what else people can come up with!!! So far I'm having a blast running and roaming around the kingdom.

    I don’t know how they did. They managed to double the size of the map with underground depths. And have huge expansive sky islands. Everything in this game that you do feels like a discovery you made. Just buy this game, you can play it everywhere and anywhere. If any game was worth $70 it’s this one. There won’t be a game like this for a long time.

    Amazing game, just when you think Botw was good TOTK blows it out of the water with new abilities that far exceed the ones seen in Botw. And while the world is reused this seems so far to be of no issue because of the whole new underground map underneath the surface,a lot of caves and last but not least the sky islands.     I hate nintendo more than any other company, but i love great games more. it really pisses me off when such a scummy company makes great games. Mechanics are great, enemies are super fun to mess around with, pretty decent story. 9/10 because of graphics, don't really mind frames in game personally.

    The bosses are wonderful, exploring the underground and the sky I love, and Link's new abilities make the game experience something unique, I love the ultrahand ability because with it I can create many things, I could even create a robot that chases enemies!

    This game went above and beyond. I think it might take 200 hrs just to explore the world. I cannot recommend this experience enough. I’m 15 hours in and this is better than BOTW…which I consider the greatest game ever made. 15/10

Better abilities, far better story and while the graphics may not be the best in the industry, it is hardly noticeable once you actually start playing and get into all the beauty that this game has to offer.     Now, talking about the game, it’s not perfect in a technical way. It suffers from ocasional framedrops, and thats the most negative thing I can say about it so far. Having spent around 30 hours on it, and being one of those that was skeptical since the first teaser because of how similar to it’s predecesor looked like, I can now assure you that this is something on a completely new level. Not only it doesn’t just “reuse” maps or assets; it expands the world in every direction, makes it a lot (and when I say a lot I mean A LOT) richer in details and things to do and discover, and it’s absurdly refined for the console it’s been (sadly) created for. When this game receive (and I’m completely sure it will in mere weeks), some patches to stabilize its performance even more, we will finally have a truly gem of a game in every aspect.
