    This is not Botw 1.5. This is a direct sequel..

    This is not dlc. Its a much longer sequel with new bosses, gameplay mechsnics, new story, borderline new everything. If this game is dlc, then idk what counts as DLC anymore to you people.

    It's a perfect game.

    I've played many open world games and this one REALLY nails it. Orcarina of Time blew my mind when it was released and this one has as well.

    Simply put -- it has Renewed my LOVE for GAMING.

    I have to say It, it's hard to give a 10 cause this mean we reached the perfection but I have to give It because it deserves for everything, for the music, the story, bossfights and other particularis, onestly it's the real and best sequel I just played for the Legend of Zelda (even my favourite one is Ocarina of Time) but I will give a solid 10!

    The game is a masterpiece! Great! When I look at the DLC of God Of War, Sony should be ashamed of themselves.
    Zelda has so much more gameplay than Sony's unimaginative games.

    Es un juegazo, es breath of the wild mejorado, con mejor historia, mejores misiones secundarias y añade nuevas mecánicas. Se puede tomar como un DLC de 70 horas que mejora en todo al anterior, imprescindible si te gustó el primero.     This game is amazing. Everything with Breath if the Wild people didn’t like was fixed. The dungeons are cooler. There are unique bosses. The world has changed around. The story, cutscenes and animation are beautiful. I’m like 30 hours in right now and I feel like I haven’t scratched the surface. There IS crafting, there is story in memories, and it uses the same world. That being said,This game is amazing. Everything with Breath if the Wild people didn’t like was fixed. The dungeons are cooler. There are unique bosses. The world has changed around. The story, cutscenes and animation are beautiful.     TOTK is a constant reminder that when it comes to playing the important thing is the illusion and imagination. I wish more companies had the courage to face the effort it takes to make games like this. Nintendo definitely makes games for kids... and for adults who want to be kids again, at least for a few hours.

    Adored this game! Adapts upon the flaws of BOTW innovatively, and not by simply removing them. The new areas are fun and bring a new context in which to interact with Hyrule and it's environments with your powers. I audibly gasped at so many points as the game continued to surprise me time and time again with the features and additions they wisely elected to remove from the gamesAdored this game! Its the reason why we loved in first place with the thing that we call video games, is a reason to keep playing video games, it reminds you why you started playing video games.. it just has that feeling..

    This is GOTY material, its hard to think that can top it these years.
    Personally, I like that the game holds the same mechanics of exploring the world and added even more new features.
    While playing, I keep dreaming of how this game would look on the next gen console...

    Tears of the Kingdom es un juego absolutamente impresionante! No podía soltar el control durante horas, a cada rato pensando en jugarlo.
    Aquellos que le hacen el review boombing solo lo hacen por hate, no hay razones lógicas para ponerte a este juego menos de un 80 (aun si no te gusta el genero o si no te gusta nintendo).
    Y si te gusta el genero y disfrutas de este tipo de aventuras,    Tears of the Kingdom es un juego absolutamente impresionante! No podía soltar el control durante horas, a cada rato pensando en jugarlo.

    I've never been as addicted to playing my Switch as I have since this game came out. The discoveries and references in this game are just incredible, and it looks and sounds GORGEOUS on my new Switch OLED to boot! Runs absolutely beautifully! There's so much to do, so much to see, and I am always ITCHING to get back to playing when I have to go to work! Even my brother's finding it hard toI've never been as addicted to playing my Switch as I have since this game came out. The discoveries and references in this game are just incredible, and it looks and sounds GORGEOUS on my new Switch OLED to boot! Runs absolutely beautifully!     this game is a huge step up from BOTW. the level of freedom and creativity adds a fun twist to it all. the new abilities make the puzzles more fun and never frustrating. It may reuse hyrule, but not only is the map overhauled with tons of new things to make it feel fresh, including caves and actual dungeons to explore. there is also 2 new maps that are just as big as the overworld and arethis game is a huge step up from BOTW. the level of freedom and creativity adds a fun twist to it all. the new abilities make the puzzles more fun and never frustrating. It may reuse hyrule, but not only is the map overhauled with tons of new things to make it feel fresh, including caves and actual dungeons to explore. there is also 2 new maps that are just as big as the overworld and are just as fun. there are more collectibles and things to upgrade and the story has more of a presence then it did in BOTW. Also for any zelda fans, there is so much more variety in enemies and they pull from all of Zelda's history. even finding enemies that have never been in a zelda game since the NES era. the spookier tone also makes it more fun. the fear that people had when they first saw a guardian in BOTW. there are so many new enemies that will strike that same fear in people. I definitely recommend getting this game. I personally think it's worth the 70 dollars but if you don't wanna pay that, do the voucher system. you get it for 60 bucks for just buying 2 nintendo games. which Pikmin 4 is on if you need something else new coming out.… Expand

    This is the game of all time. This is much better than Breath of The Wild with the story, mechanics, and the content is MASSIVE. My only complaint is that in some places, the framerate drops sometimes like in the beginning area and Hebra mountain. Definitely a GOTY game for me.

I own all the consoles and a pc… this game absolutely demolishes expectations and other game companies should follow suit. Games like this deserve to be heralded and placed on a pedestal. Takes everything great about Breath of the Wild and the older games and with some brand new abilities and mechanics and combines them together beautifully. If you have a creative mind The Fuse and Ultra Hand alone will keep you buys for hours . The story is great and there's a lot more of this time BotWBeen playing Zelda since the first game in 1986 and this is by far the best one yet. Takes everything great about Breath of the Wild and the older games and with some brand new abilities and mechanics and combines them together beautifully. If you have a creative mind The Fuse and Ultra Hand alone will keep you buys for hours . Metacritic figure out a way to stop people who don’t actually play the game from rating them cause if these ppl played this then they wouldn’t be giving it the bad scores with no real reasoning.     This game improves from BOTW in such a huge way... This is legit on of the best games of all time. I simply can't go back to play PC, Xbox and Playstation open world games anymore... they just aren't as good. Tears of the Kingdom will leave its mark on the videogame's industry for many years to come.

    Improved on all criticisms of BOTW, it is wider, deeper, and more creative in many ways. Mechanics are very smartly designed to give near endless possibilities for puzzle solvement, combat and creative traversal. I love how the game encourages exploration and cheking every corner, but without necesitating it, it caters to any playstyle: detailed, relaxed and even i-wanna-beat-final-boss-now style.

    as of writing this review I am over 80 hours in and still not done with all the stuff I wanna finish before heading to the end boss. I have to say I wasnt the biggest fan of botw, while I think botw is a good game it had many flaws. Imo totk fixes almost all of them in an amazing way. Exploration is even better in this game, so is the story. The possibilities in this game are massive andas of writing this review I am over 80 hours in and still not done with all the stuff I wanna finish before heading to the end boss. I have to say I wasnt the biggest fan of botw, while I think botw is a good game it had many flaws. Imo totk fixes almost all of them in an amazing way. Exploration is even better in this game, so is the story. The possibilities in this game are massive and the game overall is an amazing experience.     This game truly is a masterpiece. The story is told in a way where the player can follow along in Link’s own perception, uncovering what actually happened slowly until it all falls into place. The whole game felt smooth even though you can get lost for hours from just seeing one thing that catches the eye, and you still feel engaged to Link’s path.

However that's only a concern if your obsessed with Zelda lore and even then the gameplay makes it more of a slight annoyance. The gameplay is everything I could have hoped and more.     Play the game, enough said. You don't enjoy it, which sounds crazy, but you might be playing it wrong, try to find aspects that is the reason others love it and then you'll see what I mean. Coming from someone who was too focused on the main quests and then had to look at the game in a different way to enjoy it, once I did that now this is one of my favorite games.

    They took one of the best games ever made, 5-6 years of development time, and a big team of passionate video game developers... How could this ever go wrong? They could have made a record breaking game with just 2-3 years but no, they decided they want to take their time with it, and they did it again. They made it even better somehow, no idea how, but they did.

    The story is so amazing and definitely deserves a spot as one of the most beautiful stories in the Zelda franchise. We also got a lot of lore and learned more about the Zonai, which I really enjoyed. I really hope the next game builds even more on this, all these time lines and essays about when each game takes place can give one a real headache.

    The enemies in this game are crazy. I do still miss the guardians from BOTW, but the new ones more than fill their spot. I love how you are just exploring the world, picking up some mushrooms, looking at some deer, and then all of the sudden the sky turns red, five hands come out of the ground, and they just start coming after you. They pick you up, start infecting you with gloom, you try to run away but they are too fast and catch you again... So scary and I love it. The same with the 3 headed dragon, I just wanted to take a picture of it and then it chased me for what felt like half of the map and then just laser beamed me. It feels amazing progressing through the game and then being strong enough to fight monsters that felt unbeatable, to killing them with ease.

    And they added one of the best mechanics, fuse. It's honestly so funny people complaining that it's just Minecraft, like what? Have you ever played Minecraft in your life? When do you put a fan on a stick and fly on a hoverboard in Minecraft? When do you find a fossil in a cave, put a float ball beneath it, put canons on it, and have a skeleton pirate ship in Minecraft? And even IF it were similar to Minecraft, which as someone who has played Minecraft for years can confirm it's not, how would that be a bad thing? Minecraft is one of the most loved games, even in 2023 and it's over a decade old. No idea what people are smoking nowadays, but I built myself an awesome robot snail that freezes all enemies in an area and I love it. I call him Garry.

    It's too much stuff for one review, you could write a whole book on this game, you could easily make a 10 hour youtube video just talking about this masterpiece. It's the middle of the year as of writing this review, and there is not a single doubt in my mind that this is GOTY23. Games like this don't come around often, so take your time with it.    … Expand

    A 10 out of 10 for me, that's for sure. I won't spoil anything here. But this freedom that the game gives you is second to none. The gameplay is fun and there is something to explore around every corner. BOTW was good, but this game takes it up a notch. All in all it's the perfect game for me.

Es un juego que pese a ser muy similar a su precuela, prácticamente en todo, santuarios, conseguir semillas, recuerdos, etc. Todo ocurre similar al anterior juego, sin embargo consigue llevarlo a un nivel infinitamente superior. Es una maravilla de juego porque básicamente descansa sobre una anterior entrega inigualable y este lo que hace es perfeccionarlo en un nivel desquiciado y enfermizo. No le pongo ningún pero, me hubiera gustado que las cosas no fueran tan similares al anterior pero ni con eso logra bajar del peldaño en el que esta.… Expand

Even the old locations have changed enough, so that they feel just as fresh to explore as in breath of the wild.
    The new abilities, allowing you to fuse weapons together and create wild contraptions, are absolutely amazing. Youll spend douzens of hours just building weird vehicles, from simple cars to bomber aircrafts. Fusing materials to weapons also fixes the durability issues of botw and greatly rewards fighting monster camps.
    Shrines have returnted, though they are much more fun and more challenging than in the prequel. The divine beasts have been replaced by bigger, better and way more fun dungeons including actuall bosses instead of just mini ganons.
    In my 100+ hours of playtime ive not once experienced a bug and glitch. sadly the game isnt as stable in the framerate: The already low 30fps drop decently frequently, though its not as bad as some people will make it seem. Besides, it is a miracle the genius devs managed to make the game run on the switch in the first place.
    dont let the (relatively) low user score fool you, a lot of the 5/10 reviews describe the game as 10/10
    (i guess they thought it was 5/5).
    For any switch users it is a must buy, for those who loved botw it will likely be the best game of all time. It took me over 60 hours to beat the game and 100% is looking like far over 300 hours.

    Took everything about BOTW and improved on it! Amazing game play and combat. Exploration has never been more fun with ways to make vehicles. From the depths to the sky I have so much fun exploring hyrule. BOTW was already my favorite game of all time, now it is tears of the kingdom!

    The latest installment in the Zelda franchise makes Breath of the Wild seem like an appetizer. There is so much to see and do in this expanded Hyrule, which makes for hours of fun. The new gameplay mechanics are executed perfectly, and really add a fresh feel to the game. Well done Nintendo.

The world is brimming with fun and exciting things to discover, every single side quest feels as though it had been hand crafted, characters acknowledging small things that you do, such as wearing specific sets of armour, make the world feel alive and the journey from leaving the GreatTears of the Kingdom took what Breath of the Wild established and absolutely blew it out of the water. The world is brimming with fun and exciting things to discover, every single side quest feels as though it had been hand crafted, characters acknowledging small things that you do, such as wearing specific sets of armour, make the world feel alive and the journey from leaving the Great Sky Island up to the final battle is one of the most engaging, exhilarating experiences I've had in a game. It took me 100 hours to complete every shrine, do all the side quests I felt I wanted to and take down the final boss and honestly, it felt like every minute spent in this iteration of Hyrule was time well spent.
    Bosses and Dungeons this time around, when compared to what was seen in Breath of the Wild, are also a significant improvement. While still not necessarily on par with the likes of what is seen in Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, the amount of creativity these new Dungeons allow for when traversing and the ways you have to engage with each boss differently still makes them a joy to overcome.

    I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to experience an epic adventure on a legendary scale.    … Expand

The story, this time around is a vary fleshed out one, and it's amazing to see the return of semi-traditional dungeons, and actual temple boss battles, don't even get me started on Gannondorf. As this was easily the best fight with him since Wind Waker. Buy this freaking game. Just buy it, you are doing a disservice to yourself if you don't play this.… Expand

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
