    One of the best games I've ever played!! So much fun. Hyrule is huge and exploring it is super exciting, it feels different enough from breath of the wild that it's a really refreshing experience.

    The game is basically breath of the wild with a new gimmick. It's graphics are underwhelming due to the platforms limitations. It's a good game, but not as breath taking as breath in the wild was back in 2017 because no open world mobile game like this existed back then.     Muchos creerán que es una simple expansión, DLC, o lo que sea de Breath of the Wild, pero nada más lejos de la realidad, los santuarios están muy muy bien realizados, con mucha más inspiración, las mazmorras clásicas vuelven, la historia es brutal, con escenas que transmiten mucha mas epicidad que en Breath of the Wild, la dificultad se ha visto incrementada, no hay solo 1 plano deMuchos creerán que es una simple expansión, DLC, o lo que sea de Breath of the Wild, pero nada más lejos de la realidad, los santuarios están muy muy bien realizados, con mucha más inspiración, las mazmorras clásicas vuelven, la historia es brutal, con escenas que transmiten mucha mas epicidad que en Breath of the Wild, la dificultad se ha visto incrementada, no hay solo 1 plano de terreno, SINO 3, los nuevos poderes de la Ultramano son impresionantes, y necesitas mucha mas imaginación para resolver puzles de lo que se necesitaba antes.

    Muchos se quejan de que los graficos, los 900p y los 30 Fps, esta bien. Muchos se preguntan porque a Nintendo no se le critica por este aspecto, un ligero apunte: Si Playstation es criticada por ejemplo por Forspoken tanto en gráficos como en rendimiento general es PORQUE PS5 DA PARA MUCHO MÁS, si Xbox SeriesX se critica por ejemplo Redfall por sus gráficos simples y sus 30 FPS, es porque Xbox Series X DA PARA MUCHO MÁS, y cuando en PC un juego sale mal optimizado incluso para una RTX4090 es porque esta mal optimizado, igual que los citados de arriba, pero en Switch nadie se espera gráficos, nadie espera 60FPS ( menos aún en un mundo abierto ) por ende, a sabiendas que la maquina en 2017 ya salió tecnológicamente desfasada si el juego no tiene mas gráficos no es achacable al juego SINO A LA MAQUINA.

    En definitiva, si te gusta Zelda, cómpralo, si te gustó BOTW es te encantara mil veces más, y si no lo hizo BOTW te aseguro que este si lo hará.    … Expand

    This game shattered the scale completely, imaging BOTW which is a 10/10 game, and triple it in terms of quality and content, then you got Tears of the Kingdom. I would give this game 30/10 but I can't so I have to settle with 10/10 instead. ToTK is not a video game, it's THE video game.     It's an amazing game.
    Most haters really just lack creativity to fulfil the full potential of this game, so many new mechanics have been added that make both traversal and combat that much more complex and entertaining, you can truly play however you want to.
    Of course, if you didn't like the direction that Breath of the Wild took and wanted a more linear Zelda experience like the    It's an amazing game.

    This game is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, the music, the locations and the sheer amount of things to do is astonishing. If you thought Breath of the Wild was good, Tears of the kingdom is like BOTW but on crack. They found a way to truly top its predecessor in every single way while also maintaining what we loved of the first game. If you liked or didnt like BOTW you will love TOTK :).

    simply a masterpiece ! The story is excellent, the game is even better looking than BOTW was, and the gameplay pushes you to use your imagination. The game has some slowdowns, but it really doesn't bother.

    "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TEARS OF THE KINGDOM" is undoubtedly "2023 GOTY". It is the number 1 among AAA open world 3D action ARPG games. Combat action is the best. And above all, freedom is the best.

    This game is probably some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game. The story is pretty good and the world feels incredibly alive, even more so than the previous game. The new building mechanic is amazing and allows you to create anything if you are creative enough to do so.

    There are some slight performance issues here and there, nowhere near as bad as people are making out. I have no idea how they made a game of this magnitude run as well as it does on the switch.

Llevo unas 18 horas jugadas y estoy literalmente al principio del videojuego, pero es que esas 18 horas se sienten como media hora de cualquier otro juego que en 18 horas lo terminas. Es una pasada la variedad de enemigos la enormisimidad de los mapas que tiene. Porque si piensas que la novedad son las islas flotantes, espera y verás... El doblaje al castellano es buenísimo, solo siento que no haya más escenas con audio pero bueno los juegos japoneses son así, más de texto leído. En cuanto al frame rate. Es cierto que no es perfecto pero la Nintendo Switch no da para más y no son nada grave tampoco estas caídas, ocurren cuando hay muchos enemigos y además haces volar todo por los aires, o sea necesitas muchísima carga en el juego para desestabilizar la tasa de cuadros, pero no es culpa del videojuego que está optimizadísimo, si no de la consola y no se puede ni debe penalizar al juego por el hardware donde se ejecuta. El juego se merece los 10 de la prensa y los 10 de los usuarios. Creo que esta vez el GOTY ya ha salido, queda mucho año y veremos, pero lo tienen difícil los demás.… Expand

I dont wanna spoil it for anyone by adding any details but all i wanna say that true it didnt give me the same feeling when first stepping into hyrule but instead it gave a new feeling,I was very spectacle about how good this game will be and how will it compare to BOTW, the short answer is, its better than i imagined.     What if you make one of the best games of the last 10 years better? I honestly couldn't imagine that breath of the wild could be better.

    At first I was kinda disappointed that some things felt the same. But why fix something that isn't broken? Being able to discover Hyrule one more time with even more tools was something I don't know I needed. The addition of other two whole map layers in the Sky and the abyss (dark souls reference) was just pure fun.

    The new mechanics allow some incredible puzzle solving and the combat just is pure gold, the addition of the fuse mechanic to create your own weapons mid combat was something just godly.

    I am enjoying it more than Breath of the Wild but as soon as you land to Hyrule then the game gets a step back and just has to grind to continue. I do enjoy making boats and other contraptions when I find them in the world but I hardly use it when I'm in combat. Im only about 4 hours in and just got six hearts from doing four shrines. I hope the game gets better but the main enemy isI am enjoying it more than Breath of the Wild but as soon as you land to Hyrule then the game gets a step back and just has to grind to continue.     GOTY material right here! The first game was the literally the best game I've played ever (I've played a ton of games) and this one is a huge sequel! If this one doesn't get GOTY, I don't know what game will. Nintendo really one of a few big game companies that doesn't release alpha versions of games so that we can playtest, but a complete and perfect game!

It’s not a bad game, it’s what you’d want in a sequel, it’s the same over world, but what many people don’t get is, it’s a sequel. Plus, it expands BOTW with the underground, and the Sky islands. I don’t think it’s fare to critique the “performance issues” (in quotes because it runs like butter for me) due to the fact that it just came out, and it will be patched. So let’s dig into the game and story, story is absolutely amazing, bringing back Ganon for the first time in awhile. The mechanics in a nutshell are “How did the players break BOTW, and how can we make those a feature”. The people who give low ratings have me seriously doubting they ever played, because all what they say seems to be either fixed, explained through actually playing the game, or some opinion that is widely disagreed with. Short answer is, the game is great, and I genuinely think that the low ratings, are saltiness or just bad reviews.… Expand

Un punto in meno solo per ricordare a Nintendo che forse è il caso di smettere di dire che la Switch è a metà del suo ciclo vitale. Nintendo, forse è il caso di fare una "Switch 2"!     Bon les gars, le jeu est meilleur que botw, les mécaniques 10x meilleures et qui offrent bien plus de possibilités que dans le un. Le retour des temples fait extrêmement plaisir car les créatures divines, c'était drôle à la première mais la quatrième on commençait à souffler fort. Le monde ouvert a été revu, plein de nouvelles quêtes très cool, les anciens lieux revisités, les sousBon les gars, le jeu est meilleur que botw, les mécaniques 10x meilleures et qui offrent bien plus de possibilités que dans le un. Le retour des temples fait extrêmement plaisir car les créatures divines, c'était drôle à la première mais la quatrième on commençait à souffler fort. Le monde ouvert a été revu, plein de nouvelles quêtes très cool, les anciens lieux revisités, les sous terrains qui sont juste excellents, pareil pour le ciel. Ça offre toujours un petit détour sympathique avec quelque chose à la clé comme un sanctuaire. D'ailleurs les sanctuaires parlons-en, tellement mieux que dans botw niveau énigme, plusieurs façons de résoudre ces casse tête, de nouveaux styles de sanctuaires... Bref ce jeu est incroyable et sera je l'espère le jeu de l'année car il mérite amplement. Un exploit que ce jeu puisse tourner sur une console comme la Switch et ça se remarque, quelque baisse de FPS par moments mais rien de bien gênant le jeu reste très largement jouable (comparé à elden ring qui nous faisait des arrêts dans le temps sur pc avec les ram)… Expand

    One of greatest game which work as fine just out of box on pc without any shutter and performance issue, it feel generation passed to see a game work fine out of box as pc gamer, not like last of us which made excited then make me feel terrible for pre-orders and also gave me ptsd for buying any pc game on pc.     BOTW left the old school Zelda formula and became a massive hit but Tears of the Kingdom just rehashed and tweaked everything BOTW has and offered it as a $70 game. Totk feels like a huge dlc update nothing surprising nothing to wow on! Just a massive time sink. Let's face open world games are becoming more lifeless, dull and boring.

    The beginning of the game grabbed me, then, the first time in freedom, I had the feeling "Ah **** here we go again" and somehow couldn't get into the game. New day, started the game, took a different route and suddenly there it was, wow, the new mechanics hooked me, I could dive into the world and my adventure began.

    Para mí, supera a Breath of the Wild en cuanto a mecánicas, que me parecen mejor pensadas y sobre todo en la historia, que está más trabajada.

Stamina and weapon damage are also just the worst, Botw had this too but people complained about this last time as well and are constantly listed as the only negatives to the game and yet the sequel doubles down on it and even adds the Zonai energy (which is just stamina for devices)..... So fun. This game is definitely not recommended unless the switch is your only device and you just don't have anything else to play.… Expand

    I completed BotW and I'm almost to the end of TotK so I believe I have the right to stress my disappointment with the game:
    - Game feels more like a MOD of the original than a true sequel (more like BoTW 1.5).
    - Story is again pretty shallow, characters are one dimensional and it's hard to care for them. - It is pretty much a rehash of the old one with much more meaningless side-quests    I completed BotW and I'm almost to the end of TotK so I believe I have the right to stress my disappointment with the game:

    1. Lets start from the graphics: they are really beautiful but they still have the classic look from botw (which i love by the way)
    2. The plot, is a Little differnent, because in botw you had to discovery everything by yourself, almost no guidance, but in TK you have more guidance. Here you have something more specific, like the battle on the desert. But I think thats nice, especially its only a Little bit more, and I remember when botw came out i was really confused and had problems. Here i have them too (wich is kinda awesome that you have to think by yourself).
    3. Gameplay is great, really. It has the classic mechanics from botw like dodging but also has new one like attaching things on Arrow. It has so many surprising things and when you buy the game and walk through it, you have the simple excitation like a kid if you bought botw.

    The game I was so eagerly anticipating turned out to be a major letdown due to its poor optimization. Despite my excitement and high hopes, the game's lowly 720p resolution and stuttering 20 frames per second left me feeling extremely angry and frustrated.

    I was constantly plagued by lag spikes, choppy animations, and sluggish controls, which made even basic gameplay actions feel like a chore. Every time I tried to immerse myself in the game's world, I was pulled back to reality by the constant interruptions and slowdowns.

    It was especially infuriating to know that these issues could have been easily avoided with better optimization. It was clear that the developers had neglected this aspect of the game in favor of flashy graphics and other superficial features. They had failed to prioritize the smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience that gamers like me crave.

    I couldn't help but feel a sense of betrayal and disappointment as I played through the game. All my excitement and anticipation had been for nothing, and I was left with a subpar gaming experience that barely resembled what I had been promised.

    As I navigated through the poorly optimized world, I couldn't help but wonder how much better the game could have been if the developers had put in more effort.     TOTK improved upon monster variety. It’s much easier to switch items, the quests are passable, and the characters feel more likeable. Most importantly, the story in TOTK can go toe to toe with any other Zelda. The map feels significantly different from before, so I can confidently say it doesn’t feel “rehashed”.

    That said, this is BOTW. Even the tutorial is scarily close to BOTW. I’ve never been big on the futuristic theme. I can see why Nintendo’s given BOTW so much love considering its sales, but I think part of BOTW’s success was it’s fresh breath into the franchise, not the structure of the game. In other words, I don’t want 100+ hour long Zelda games. Especially considering how many of those hours are spent walking from place to place.

    Fusing is a large portion of the game. It’s helpful because it gives every item in your inventory a purpose. It’s somewhat annoying because most of the time, ALL of your items become ugly.

    I’m worried that Zelda is starting to lose its identity. The puzzles were heavily, heavily reliant on Ultrahand. It needed more materials to work with to allow a more diverse experience. Puzzles in TOTK revolve around machines. It didn’t feel like Zelda, and worse, it wasn’t satisfying to complete a puzzle—it was sweet relief I could stop using Ultrahand. Puzzling in TOTK feels much more linear than BOTW. Yes, linear. Machines are meant to be built one way to work. And that made shrines feel like an absolute drag.

    Of all the changes in the game, I feel like the music changed the least. I’m used to having beautiful Zelda music each game, but BOTW and TOTK have not delivered. The music was empty in BOTW, but the Sky Islands theme is nothing short of AWFUL. A good chunk of the score I can look you in the eye and say anybody, and I mean anybody, could write it.

    I don’t play Zelda to build modern technology. I play Zelda to play epic one on ones with exciting music, progress through a story, and complete dungeons. That’s what OOT was designed for in the first place. Link’s a knight, not an engineer. I like fast paced, satisfying puzzling that tests Link’s reflexes and skill. Not running around the map. Not taking thirty minutes as you fiddle around with Ultrahand to progress through three phases of a single shrine.

    It’s like TOTK was forced with the worst of two worlds. It avoided the influence of old school Zelda, and it couldn’t provide too much variety to work with since the open world game is already hard to design.

    All in all, I didn’t mind the “go here” “go there” attitude that TOTK developed to extend simple tasks like unlocking the Sky Towers. I’m satisfied with the BOTW formula, but it should place a much larger emphasis on puzzles. Not big lengthy physics puzzles, a simple chain of commands to get Link from A to D in five minutes. Time will tell whether vehicles in Zelda will be popular, but for me on a personal level, they’re a bust.    … Expand

    The combat is pretty much the same nothing has changed, they gave you the ability to fuse weapons to another object making the weapon more durable or stronger which is very helpful.

    The main problem I have with TotK is, though flying islands scattered at the skies of Hyrule, Hyrule itself was the same map as Botw with a change of landscape prior to the events at the start of TotK, You need to repeat the same thing you've done from Botw in order to reveal the whole area in your map you need to go to towers (different method this time) and scan the whole area via flying up the skies to reveal the area which is pretty much the same and a hassle imo since it was the same map we explore from Botw, Clunky controls when you're in the Rune/DIY mode rotating an object will literally piss you off while this mech is fun it'll test your patience with the clunky rotational controls.
    Performance as expected it's a switch game a 30 fps with frame drops in certain areas, and graphics is the same as Botw.

    Overall the game is fun with some few problems still exists from Botw.

    My expectations were super high, but Nintendo still managed to surpass them.

    Excelente juego ❤️ me pareció muy interesante la historían las misiones secundarias y las nuevas formas de sacarle provecho al juego aún no dejo de pensar en combinaciones que podrían ser buenas y creo que sin duda alguna el mejor juego de este año

    it's refreshing and nostalgic at the same time. it's love to detail and freedom is genre defining for all open world games. maybe the best video game ever made.

    The only bad thing is most enemies kill with one hit and there’s too much reading that made me not talk to anyone unless to progress
    Otherwise it’s perfect fun time

    Everything what made Breath of the Wild great mechanically but in a more enlivened world and an actual Story. As a live long Zelda Fan of the early hours - this feels like the perfect mix between classic Zelda and modern BOTW style OpenWorld. Only thing odd seams to be the German localization - the ability names are translated awkwardly and: „ZonaU“? Really?     Massively expanded on everything great about BOTW. The ultimate Zelda. Combat and exploration have been much improved, and the creativity of ultra hand makes everything feel exciting. Fuse makes the weapon system a masterpiece.

Yo creo que es una secuela perfecta que deja a su antecesor como un péquela probadita de lo que se puede llegar hacer en un mundo abierto desde la posibilidad de hacer los puzzles de la manera que más se te antoje y el hecho de no obligarte a seguir un historia lineal lo hace perfecto ya que los únicos límites de este juego pueden ser las pequeñas bajas de FPS y tu imaginación la historia es un poco mejor que la anterior por eso yo creo que Zelda Tears of the kingdom es ta a la altura de competir por el goty ya que mucha gente lo desmerita por los gráficos pero entrando un poco en detalle las más morras se sienten muy parecidas a las bestias y las cantidad de islas es un poco decepcionante pero cuando tienes un mapa terrestre, subterráneo y aéreo todo eso queda atrás y por eso y más para mí este Zelda es un 10/10… Expand

    Tears of the kingdom is beautiful in all its traits, exploration, story, puzzles and fights, honestly I don't like the bosses so much because I consider the individual bosses very repetitive, from the point of view of fantasy I think it has no rivals, I consider it one of the best nintendo games in many ways

    You know, Breath of the Wild is a great game but it was more of a proof of concept. It has a large detailed open world which is interesting to explore and in which you wanna live, but the dungeons and the story part of the game are not that good cuz it seems the devs were focusing exactly on the open world in BotW. Tears of the Kingdom improves this. The dungeons and also the shrines areYou know, Breath of the Wild is a great game but it was more of a proof of concept.     This game is amazing if you liked BOTW, which is what you want in a direct sequel. All it does is improve on what BOTW was. Now that said, it's not like it can't stand on it's own. There was a lot of concern of the map being too much of the same. I, too, shared this. After playing for about 30 hours I can say for sure that's not the case. We get the old map with some additions, and the skyThis game is amazing if you liked BOTW, which is what you want in a direct sequel. All it does is improve on what BOTW was. Now that said, it's not like it can't stand on it's own. There was a lot of concern of the map being too much of the same. I, too, shared this. After playing for about 30 hours I can say for sure that's not the case. We get the old map with some additions, and the sky islands like we saw in the trailers. (Don't read further if you consider a location to be a spoiler) The thing that truly changes the map is the depths. It as as big as the first game's map, and is is completely different. Honestly they could have had the depths as the only map in the game (So long as they added towns to it, which I haven't found in it so far, but I have found a shop), and less people would've complained compared to now. The fact this was never talked about in the marketing is kinda crazy to me.

    The fuse mechanic and Ultrahand are truly amazing. I don't want to talk about them too much, as I feel the joy of thinking "Will this work?" and finding out it does is too great. What I will say is that the fuse mechanic can be used for traversal, not just combat. This is a mistake I've seen some people make. Thinking Ultrahand is for traversal, while fuse is for combat, when in actuality you can use both for both.    … Expand

    The game is incredible. Even dunno what else to add. Everything is super-good in this game - 10/10.
    I think this could easily become my new favorite game of all time 300 hours later

    Nintendo continues to be a detriment to there own games with there stubbornness and fascination with sticking with there overpriced, underpowered hardware, totk suffers from being a PS3 gen game in a current gen world. 720p and 20fps is unacceptable for a $70 2023 tittle.     I wasn't sure how Nintendo would find a way to top their work in Breath of the Wild back when it came out, but I feel they have here – with years of more polish applied and refined exploration. [Issue #66 – July/August 2023, p. 71]

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
