    More of the same. The graphics in this new game are the same, the world map is the same just adding some floating islands, the game's puzzles were overly simplistic and lacked any real challenge, leaving me feeling bored and unengaged. Maybe the music.

    This game is the product of what happens when you take an already amazing game as a base, and somehow improve on it even more. TOTK is the perfect sequel to BOTW, giving an even better experience and even more content to do, while still maintaining the freedom to play your way.

    Esse game simplesmente é fantástico, faz o anterior parecer um rascunho e uma obra incompleta. Eu confesso que tinha medo pelas limitações do switch e pelo fato de ser uma sequência, mas cá entre nós não deixou nada a desejar!

    Espectacular en cada cada apartado , sorprendente. Tuve mis dudas previo al lanzamiento final pero estoy sin palabras. Cada vez que armo algún objeto es memorable y lleno de diversión.

    Lástima que gente de PS que no comprende realmente lo que significa gameplay venga a hacer reviewbombing. Si no tienen nada a que jugar no vengan a molestar. He visto muchas tears ultimamente =(!!!!

    If you liked Breath of the Wild, then you'll like this, as it's more of the same. If you didn't, like me, then you'll probably dislike this even more.

    The days of old Zelda game design philosophy are gone. I have to accept that, but I don't have to like it. Rather than creating interesting puzzles for players to solve, we just create our own solutions. Sounds great on paper until you    If you liked Breath of the Wild, then you'll like this, as it's more of the same. If you didn't, like me, then you'll probably dislike this even more.

Rather than creating interesting puzzles for players to solve, we just create our own solutions. Sounds great on paper until you realize how shallow the system really is. Materials right next to a bottomless pit. Gee, I wonder what I'm supposed to do. It's so brain-dead simple, I'm genuinely amazed at how many people consider this the "next level" of adventure games.

    Rather than address the complaints of weapon durability (one of the stupidest mechanics of any video game), Nintendo double down and force you to use its "fuse" system to "fix" the problem yourself. Now only it's worse since fusing requires you to pause the action to do it. Bomb arrows? Going to need to pause every single time you craft one, taking you out of the experience each time. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone solved this problem by having a radial wheel that only slowed down the action to craft, rather than stopping it, but Nintendo think they know what's best.

    Cooking in BOTW was easily broken by using hearty ingredients, and if you knew where they spawned, then great, because you now have a steady supply of meals that remove the entire point of experimentation, rendering the entire system moot. Instead of making this more interesting by adding in a sort of tolerance system where meals become less effective over time until you make something else, they left it the exact same. You also need to pause the game to heal again, which is just... lovely.

    General combat has been completely unchanged from BOTW. Flurry rush, an easily abused mechanic, is no different, even the animations are the same as well!

    Perhaps the worst thing about all of this is how people give Nintendo a pass with a 30 FPS target, but expect other triple A developers to have a stable 60 FPS, showing how two faced a lot of the gaming industry really is.

    Honestly, Nintendo should be held to a higher standard going forward, and despite this game obviously selling millions of copies, I think it just shows how little a developer can change and people will simply accept it because of name alone. But when Ubisoft does it, people drag them through the mud for not changing enough.    … Expand

    This game is great. The reason I won't give it a full 10 is because of minor issues with framerate but other than that it's a great game imo. The ultrahand and fuse ability are top notch.

    Tears of The Kingdom is the perfect sequel that all BOTW fans could dream:

    - The game is really beautiful, yes technical can limit but for a switch, the graphics is really insane
    - All default of the previous game is corrected: better dungeon, more mob variety, more tools to create weapon and custom expérience.

    The only default for me is you can't stock more than 64 photo in the tablet xD

    Its basically the same game (same skins, same gameplay, same musics and same map with islands with not much interest and an empty underworld). Story running flat and the major disappointment is there is not real Dungeon!!!
    6 years for that! Nintendo lost me!

    I don't know how but they upgraded the first one, its true that its similar in a lot of ways but its a sequel so it works. it doesnt get repetitive if u played the previous one but if u didnt play botw go directly to this one because u gonna enjoy it even more.     Improved on all criticisms of BOTW, it is wider, deeper, and more creative in many ways. Mechanics are very smartly designed to give near endless possibilities for puzzle solvement, combat and creative traversal. I love how the game encourages exploration and cheking every corner, but without necesitating it, it caters to any playstyle: detailed, relaxed and even i-wanna-beat-final-boss-now style.

    Can’t put the game down. I thought I would like it but it won’t be as good as Breath of the Wild but it ended up being better in some ways. Game of the year contender for sure.

    Oh boy, where do I begin?

    I've had this game pre-ordered since February, and I have to say I had never been so excited for a video game in my life. I can safely say that Tears of the Kingdom is living up to the hype. It takes everything that worked in Breath of the Wild and adds it to what could, perhaps, be considered a more traditional Zelda story and structure. Shrines are still    Oh boy, where do I begin?

    I've had this game pre-ordered since February, and I have to say I had never been so excited for a video game in my life. I can safely say that Tears of the Kingdom is living up to the hype. It takes everything that worked in Breath of the Wild and adds it to what could, perhaps, be considered a more traditional Zelda story and structure.

    Shrines are still here, which I love. In the last game, they were a great way to test your puzzle-solving abilities, as well as practice using the Sheikah Slate abilities you had in the previous game. That ethos is continued in Tears of the Kingdom, but the puzzles have had to be altered slightly to accommodate the new Zonai abilities we have due to Link's very snazzy right arm.

    I also love how you can basically build anything out of anything with Link's new Ultrahand ability. It allows for some really creative ways to solve puzzles in the world in general as well as shrines, and for you to get creative when trying to find your way around. Ultrahand definitely has to be my favourite ability, just for the sheer number of possibilities it unlocks.

    One final thing: the soundtrack in this game is incredible, as Breath of the Wild's was. It feels more dynamic than it's predecessor's, but it really works. Breath of the Wild took place in a post-apocalyptic Hyrule, while this same Hyrule has attempted to heal from the Calamity of the last game, and has been dealt a major blow. Certainly in the one major story quest I'm doing at the moment, the music seems more urgent, like there is an immediate threat to the world.

    All in all, I absolutely love this game, and I personally think it overshadows Breath of the Wild. In years to come, Tears of the Kingdom will be regarded as one of the best games of its era, and an indication that Nintendo fully knows what they're doing with the Zelda series now. I'm about 20 hours in and I'm still just amazed and how gorgeous and amazing the gameis. I love that the amiibo system used to be only 5 A-day from breath of the wild to now. You can use it to how many amiibo you have. frame rate, still shoty in some areas but not as bad as IWhat A great game to have it has everything you're going to want to play.     Pros: Great story, dungeons?, abilities are great and huge upgrades from before despite what some people say. And the world has expanded, more than 2 fold. Huge win for Nintendo.

    Nintendo didn't fix any of the critiques from BotW. There are still weapons that break before the enemy does. The shrines are back, while the so called "dungeons" aren't any different from the beasts in BotW. The controls got even worse. And the world, while still beautiful doesn't have anything worthwhile to do.

    Really great game. I'm not even a Zelda fan, and no, it's not a copypaste of Breath of the Wild, it's a direct sequel, but it innovates with new quests, abilities etc... it's the most fun game I've played in years

    Tears of the Kingdom is a triumph in game design. The sheer amount of freedom given to the player to do whatever they want is absolutely staggering. The world is dense and there are secrets to find around every corner, the story is surprisingly fantastic for a Zelda game so far, and the soundtrack is beautiful. One of the best games ever made.

    This is now the highest rated video game of all time on OpenCritic. And there's a reason for that- it's a masterpiece. The sky islands and caves with a remixed Hyrule, with new abilities that are a gamechanger, better dungeons and way more enemy variety... I think this is the most impressive game I've ever played.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom took everything about its predecessor and flipped it on its head. Everything from the music, to the game play mechanics have been increased ten fold. If you like your hand being held for the entirety of a game, this game is not for you. Links four main abilities some would call gimmicky, but I would call them a unique set of powers that allow the players to traverse the expanded world of Hyrule however they imagine. Although you no longer have the champions abilities from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, you’re still given all the tools necessary to complete any challenge thrown your way. That’s what makes this game so amazing. You have to go out of your way to reap what you sow. There is no other way around it. This game is very rewarding for your hard work. When it came to building vehicles, it was a bit clunky at first but the more you practice the more you get the hang of it. The frame rate in this game can drop at times, but it’s so amusing it’s forgivable. The story through memories was a bit of a let down I must say. I was really hoping they’d deviate from its previous title in order to keep things fresh. I would say the same about its tutorial, seeing as you start with obtaining Link’s 4 abilities through shrines. Although it’s the same engine, map, mechanics, and characters, it’s approach to the overall open world story telling was a bit too similar to Breath of The Wild. These are the only small complaints I had of the game as I was too distracted by having a jolly good time. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom took the foundation of Breath of The Wild and built upon it. That’s what makes a direct sequel work really well in my opinion. Keeping things similar enough but not too close is a hard line to walk and I think the developers did a fantastic job at towing it.     It's even better than botw. Something I never thought would be possible. Every flaw that botw had were improved. If you liked botw then you'll love totk. If you hated botw you'll hate totk. If you missed the classical zelda but enjoyed botw you will absolutely want to play this game

    Incredible follow up to BotW, improving on it's predecessor in almost every way and expanding significantly with a much bigger world and much bigger amount of content.

    The people who say it runs in 20fps and stutters are liars and clearly didn't play the game, same goes for the people who say the overworld didn't change at all.

    Es übertrifft den Vorgänger, die Fähigkeiten, welche man im Spiel bekommt sind wirklich was außergewöhnliches, es ermöglichen sich einem so tolle Möglichkeiten mit der riesigen Spielwelt zu interagieren. Das Setting, die Story, die Umsetzung.. es fesselt einen und man möchte immer mehr und mehr.

    Even though I’ve just started the game it’s already looking to be as good or even better than BOTW, yes mechanics, graphics, and gameplay are pretty much the same, but the whole ambiance feels different, and the concept of sky islands, and underground depths is really entertaining. Loving it!

Yes, there are some similarities to BOTW, but I think it is a completely new and exciting experience. There is so much to do and discover in this game.     The game itself is absolutely stunning and the sound team did an amazing job with sound effects that really immerses you in the world. The underground is one of my favorite aspects of the game.     They've completely blown Breath of the Wild out of the water with this one. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you liked Breath of the Wild, you'll love this.     Completely redesigned gameplay based on new mechanics with the addition of the basic mechanics from the previous game is simply breathtaking. It would take too long to describe. Try it yourself, you won't regret it. 10/10

    The ones saying that it’s just the same as BOTW, didn’t even go further than hyrule field. This is AMAZING! It is so vast and full of stuff to do, and it already has double the amount of BOTW’s story within the first 15 hours of the game! Go play it yourself!

    그리고 자유도 역시 최고다. 현존하는 AAA급 오픈월드 3D 액션 ARPG들 중에서는 자유도는 가히 젤다 왕눈이 1위다. 전투 타격감도 엄청 뛰어난 편이며 뭣보다 전투 방식이 진짜 재밌다.

    엄청 강력한 최강 보스몹들이 등장해서 나를 공격한다 하더라도 마치 영화 매트릭스를 보는듯이 적의 공격을 느리게 볼수있는 기술을 사용하면 적의 공격을 간파해서 피할수있다.(그대신 그 기술을 쓰면 나 자신의 움직임도 느려진다. 마치 영화 매트릭스처럼 말이다.) 그리고 적의 공격을 뒤로 점프해서 피하는 방식도 진짜 재밌고 그 점프와 동시에 적에게 순식간에 달려들어 연타 공격도 가능하다.

    특히 젤다 왕눈은 자유도가 진짜 뛰어나서 전투의 자유도마저 뛰어나다. 창의적이게 자유롭게 전투가 가능하다. 그냥 단순히 적과 싸우는 개념의 다른 오픈월드 3D 액션 ARPG들과는 차원이 틀리다.

    몇 가지 창의적인 재밌는 전투들을 예를 들자면 싸우다가 무기를 떨어트려서 무기를 다시 줍기위해 고개를 숙이는 몹에게 나뭇잎 파초선 부채로 날려서 지상으로 떨어트려버릴 수도있고,

    불부메랑 무기를 만들어서 적에게 폭탄이 있는 곳으로 유인해서 불부메랑을 이누야샤의 비뢰골처럼 폭탄에 던져서 그 주변에 몹들을 전부 다 폭사시키거나 불태우는 것도 가능하며,

    방패에 로켓을 장착해서 '날아라 슈퍼보드'처럼 방패를 타고 날아다니는 것도 가능하다. (단순히 우주선처럼 하늘 위로 올라가는 것도 가능하지만 옆으로 날아가는 것도 가능하다.)

    또한 전투기나 비행기를 만들어서 날아가다가 하늘섬에 있는 몹들을 발견해서 몹의 화살을 방패로 막거나 피한 후에 전투기의 미사일로 몹들을 공격하는 것도 가능하다.

    그리고 윙건담처럼 로봇을 만들거나 전차를 만들어서 몹들을 깔아뭉개거나 밀어버리거나 공격도 가능하다.

    이처럼 전투 방식이 단순히 칼, 창, 활 등으로만 공격하는게 아니라 그냥 맵에 있는 '모든 것'들을 이용해서 다 자유롭게 공격이 가능한 것이다. 창의적이게 아이디어를 짜내면 전세계에서 나밖에 없는 무기로, 나밖에 쓰지 않는 전술 병법으로 적을 공격할수도있는게 강점이다.

    뭣보다 록 온(Lock-on) 시스템이 기가 막히게 잘돼있다. 근데 이는 당연한 것이 게임계 세계최초로 '록 온'이라는 전투 시스템을 발명한 것이 다름아닌 '젤다의전설 시간의 오카리나' 였기 때문에 록 온의 원조인 젤다의전설이 록 온 시스템의 고수인 것이다.

    그런데 젤다 왕눈은 단순히 전투 타격감, 자유도만으로도 설명이 불가능할 정도로 진짜 게임 자체가 완성도가 뛰어나다. 그냥 해보면 안다. 백문이 불여일견! 해봐라!    … Expand

    I'm only 6-7 hours into this behemoth of a game, and I've not even scratched the surface.

    While exploring Hyrule, on my way to my quest objective, I spot something in the distance and decide to check it out. What I thought was something that may have had a few items to pick up, turned into a puzzle, that really makes you think outside of the box utilising all of Links new abilities,    I'm only 6-7 hours into this behemoth of a game, and I've not even scratched the surface.

    While exploring Hyrule, on my way to my quest objective, I spot something in the distance and decide to check it out. What I thought was something that may have had a few items to pick up, turned into a puzzle, that really makes you think outside of the box utilising all of Links new abilities, which, by the way, have expanded the tried and true mechanics of Breath of the Wild, and somehow manage to blow it out of the water. Solving this puzzle (in whichever way you see fit, there is rarely a single solution) led me to an entirely new area that, if I had continued on my merry way, I would have completely missed. Exploration in this game is obviously encouraged, and the freedom of choice you have to play through this game is what keeps pulling me back in.

    When I'm not playing Tears of the Kingdom, I am trying to plan what contraptions I can construct to help me take down that bokoblin camp that has been giving me grief. I am currently sat at work writing this review, because I cannot stop thinking about getting my hands back on Tears of the Kingdom.    … Expand

    Haters will always be haters, but the fact is that Tears of The Kingdom is the sequel what many consider as the best games of all time. It is an engrossing, open world adventure, more so now with the addition of new mechanics that are unique that never exist before.     The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
