    So far I can't shake the feeling that this game is literally just Breath of the Wild from a parallel dimension. SO MUCH of it is thematically, mechanically, or aesthetically the same, reskinned as a sequel.

    Some of the new stuff I like, some not so much.

    Fingers crossed that the story is better and more substantial this time around - too early to tell.

    El juego es simplemente mágico, puedes perderte por horas en un área y siempre encontraras algo que hacer , el apartado artístico y musical son simplemente perfectos, el gameplay muy entretenido y con mas secretos por descubrir que la entrega anterior.

    Ahora no se dejen engañar por la gente que anda diciendo que solo reciclaron mapa y assets cosa que muchas compañías hacen pero la diferencia es como las implementas y si, aunque ma base del juego es el mapa anterior ,con todos los añadidos se siente completamente nuevo , las nuevas áreas como las islas flotantes le dan un aire de frescura y el mapa principal, aunque encuentres locaciones familiares no te dejara de dar la sensación de que lo estás explorando por primera vez , la única razón de ponerle 9 es que no me tachen de fanboy XD .Si el juego te llama la atención no lo dudes mas y juégalo, no le hagas caso a todas esas personas que tratan de hundir algo tan maravilloso como lo es esta entrega de Zelda y el que te diga lo contrario es por que no tiene ni idea del

    -6 new bosses, 6 new enemies (that's 2 enemies per year of dev time)
    -bosses are just generic "shoot the eyeball" and then the boss staggers for 20 seconds
    -dungeons are just 5 shrine puzzles stapled together -Sky Islands look cool but are 5% of the game map, most of them just have a "move the green crystal to the shrine using a garry's mod plane" -Underground is barren wasteland with    -6 new bosses, 6 new enemies (that's 2 enemies per year of dev time)
    -bosses are just generic "shoot the eyeball" and then the boss staggers for 20 seconds
    -dungeons are just 5 shrine puzzles stapled together
    -Sky Islands look cool but are 5% of the game map, most of them just have a "move the green crystal to the shrine using a garry's mod plane"
    -Underground is barren wasteland with just red sludge, darkness and reskinned enemies

    when you've been with Nintendo as long as i have (the beginning) you learn to trust them to pull the rabbit out of the hat. EVERY. TIME. i don't know how they do it but i promise they always do.

    This game is amazing truely a game of the generation fix major complaints from the previous game. The world is alive and teeming with quest to do and things to discoved. The story also takes a more foward role the game like zelda games of the past and is truley deserving of all the praise it receives!

Las islas flotantes, el subsuelo, puedes explorar cualquier sitio. El comienzo es el mejor comienzo de toda la franquicia, los nuevos santuarios, la subida de dificultad de los NPCs.

    Esse jogo é uma obra de arte, pega tudo oque tem do BOTW e melhora em 1000x.
    história mais aprofundada, gameplay aprimorada, puzzles mais divertidos, dungeons e toda a magia do zelda.

    People don't understand that the graphics don't make the experience, for example Hogwarts Legacy has excellent graphics but the gameplay is so boring. I'm not a Nintendo fan at all, but saying that this game is a BotW DLC shows that you have no idea about videogames or haven't played the game enough.     I thought Tears of the Kingdom is a really good game. Its just as good as Breath of the Wild. The only difference between the two gameplay wise is the new abilities. I spend most of the time aimlessly wandering around in the open world trying to progress with the game, same as BOTW. I'm kind of concerned about the future of the Zelda franchise. Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess wereI thought Tears of the Kingdom is a really good game. Its just as good as Breath of the Wild. The only difference between the two gameplay wise is the new abilities. I spend most of the time aimlessly wandering around in the open world trying to progress with the game, same as BOTW.     This game, along with its predecessor BOTW, as well as RDR2, GTA V and The Witcher 3 are the proof games are the best form of entertainment.

    Why not just close the game series for good? You obviously have no more good writers or directors. The voice acting is horrible, the music is not memorable at all.     This takes everything that was great about Botw and takes it to the next level. Ultrahand alone makes this game worth it, and that's only one part of what makes this great. A must play if you like open worlds.

    I started to play the game on the 75“ tv screen and its awful. After the 5 hour tutorial i switched to the handheld mode and i like it a lot more. Controls are sometimes clumsy and you need to walk/ ride a lot and a fable for exploring must be given. For me clearly not so good as the N64 Zeldas but not bad at all.

    TOTK is a total asset flip of BOTW. Now add a super clumsy building/crafting mechanic, remove the life of the original world, and insert a weak story- thats what this game is. I do not recommend this game. Complete waste of time and money. If you haven't played BOTW, go play it and ignore that this game ever existed.

    El mapa es el mismo, pero hasta la ubicación de los shrines es la misma en algunos casos. La historia te la siguen contando con memorias que vas por ahí encontrando, cómo si fuera juego indie.
    La mitad del tiempo que estás peleando te la pasas navegando menús, porque ya se rompió el arma y porque te la pasas    El juego es un BOTW 1.5, si no te gustó BOTW este juego tampoco te va a gustar.
    El mapa es el mismo, pero hasta la ubicación de los shrines es la misma en algunos casos. La historia te la siguen contando con memorias que vas por ahí encontrando, cómo si fuera juego indie.

    I can't give an accurate review because iv'e only played about 5 hours. But from what i've played, it's glorious, and i'm not a zelda fan. I only got the game because of hype, but it's definitely worth it. First time reviewing on metacritic and i don't know if you can edit reviews, but once i beat zelda i will come back and update it. But the game is of too a very promising start.

And then these game journalists have the audacity to rant and virtue signal over studios crunching, even though they are the main reason why crunch even exists in the first place, because every studio has to work at least 100 times harder than Nintendo to get a 90 overall Metacritic score. Playstation Studios had to crunch hard to become a critic darling with those graphics and over-produced cutscenes, but Zelda devs can make copy/paste shovelware and get treated like the Messiahs of gaming. I don't even want to hear about the Switch being underpowered. They are charging a premium next-gen price of $70, so I expect the same level of quality as PS5 and XSX. Not my fault these greedy cheapskates at Nintendo refuse to release next-gen hardware. There are hundreds, or maybe even thousands of indie games with higher quality than this trash for a cheaper price, yet get much lower scores from critics.

    There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the story, there is literally not a reason to touch this game again. Charging $70 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. Nintendo, you can make all the indie quality games you want. But when I get a $70 game with no guaranteed online multiplayer, that is where I absolutely draw the line. How dare you give me half of the game for $70. I might've actually had fun if it had online. That's the least they could do after increasing the price for this low budget game. It's funny when Zelda fans make fun of COD for being the same game every year. At least there are new maps and graphics every year, while Zelda is the same map and graphics in 6 years. It's mind boggling that this game gets universal acclaim for indie quality at $70, when others work much harder and get panned by critics and gamers.     It's refreshing for a game not to hold your hand constantly, but I don't think the game should be $70 and there are performance issues. The gameplay is addicting thought IMO and using a game voucher makes it $50 for 2 games. I'd give it an 8.5, but i think rounding up to a 9 is alright.

    Once, I dreamed of a game. A fantasy game where you explore an open world, do side quests and fight various enemies. For some time, I thought that that game doesn't exist. And then, I bought a switch to play mainly Mario games. When I looked up what other good games are there, I saw everyone saying BotW. I played it. It was that game, it was incredible, the best game I've ever played. AndOnce, I dreamed of a game. A fantasy game where you explore an open world, do side quests and fight various enemies. For some time, I thought that that game doesn't exist. And then, I bought a switch to play mainly Mario games. When I looked up what other good games are there, I saw everyone saying BotW. I played it. It was that game, it was incredible, the best game I've ever played. And then, this game comes out. I said: as long as it doesn't make BotW worse, it will be my favourite game. This game has our favourite hyrule with two more maps added, new dungeons, new allies, new story, new enemies, new items, new side quests, new skills, and more possibilities. This game does have the same map, (even though there are two more new maps) but everything else is different. This game shows all the reasons why - even with joycon drift - we are nintendo fans.… Expand

    It's an easy 10 so far. I'm 15-20 hours into the game and haven't even completed the second major area I've visited (hell, I probably have only completed 50-60% of the first major area). It's less overwhelming than BOTW because they give you a bit more guidance of where to go, and a lot more clear objectives once you get there. But where this game shines is the exploration. If one isIt's an easy 10 so far. I'm 15-20 hours into the game and haven't even completed the second major area I've visited (hell, I probably have only completed 50-60% of the first major area). It's less overwhelming than BOTW because they give you a bit more guidance of where to go, and a lot more clear objectives once you get there. But where this game shines is the exploration. If one is game to step into the world like a virtual reality and make the most of it, there is a nearly endless supply of moments it can offer you. As of this writing, I think it may be superior to BOTW but no need to make such large statements so early. There's also a possibility it's one of the best games of all time, but also---why make such a claim so early. For now, just enjoy the game!… Expand

    This game is has all the problems present in Breath of the Wild. None of the issues were addressed such as the weapon break system. This can be attributed to how mega fans of the first game calling Breath of the Wild a flawless masterpiece so Nintendo didn't bother to fix anything. This game has the same map as the first and the same recycled animations.

    The low score is because this is not what a Zelda game is. Again we got this pathetic attempt to emulate a Ubisoft game but with Zelda slapped on it. Had Nintendo chosen to make this a new IP, we would still have our classic 3D Zeldas. But the game would not have done as well.    … Expand

    Insanely good game, probably the best game of all times. It's literally overwhelming all content and how brilliantly designed is every aspect of this game.

    Zelda lo hizo otra vez la sensación de libertad, que se logra es incluso superior a la de breath of The wild eso del subsuelo y los cielos fue increíble además de las posibilidades casi infinitas que da la combinación la historia es buenas y en general es como Breath of The wild pero llevado a su punto máximo, además la dificultad aumento bastante algo que de verdad agradezco

    This game is an absolute gem. BOTW vibes but better (and I honestly thought it wasn’t possible). it’s already clear it will be the GOTY this year.

    I can confirm that this game has beat the dlc allegations. To say that this game is just a dlc with the same map would be extremely disingenuous and disrespectful. This game has the sky islands which brings loads of content and an underground that’s about the same size as Hyrule. So it’s essentially more than twice the size of the last game which was massive.     Didn't finish the game yet but this review is early impression, the game take open world games to a new level to exploration and creativity they took everything that's great about BOTW and make it better, the only issue is the fps drops not the end of the world but it need a fix sooner than later.

    Honestly glad this game came out when it did. I wasn’t having any type of fun with gaming, but then this game came along and changed this for me and for the better. I love Nintendo and I absolutely love Zelda and can’t wait to dive back into the game. I highly recommend this game from a place of heart.

    This is the best game that has released in recent times, it is not just BOTW renamed, they took BOTW and somehow added a ton more content and made it better in my opinion. I don’t know why people have to hate on this absolute gem of a game.

    The Game serves excelent sequel, the new mechanics are quite fun, and everything is pushed into a next level, Hyrule is Massive, the islands on the sky, the underground caves and the missions catapult this Game into one of all tome favoritos

    We all gave breath of the wild, a pass back when it came out because it boldly re-examined the Zelda conventions, but it was a rather empty game at the end of the day. THIS game however is a masterpiece. It is simply the epitome of what Zelda in video games can be. Magical.

Instead of making a good game Nintendo take the lazy way out by adding fusing stuff together.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I have played a bunch of Zelda games over the years, and going in blind to BOTW was truly the pinnacle of it all. For those first few moments, and throughout the rest of the game, it was an absolute gem of an experience, a Diamond being the gem. It’s the standard games SHOULD value, take time to make a game to its absolute best potential. Granted, I see pros AND cons. Dungeons were lackluster, bosses exactly the same, and the world did feel a bit more empty. But it was one of the cases where, hype aside, the good outweighed the bad in such a tremendous and spectacular way. Climbing up that hill to see all of Hyrule still hits me even to this day.

    Tears of the Kingdom is, to me, an INCREDIBLE successor!! Taking the criticisms of BOTW, and following up on that exponentially. Dungeons, while small, ARE present, and the Allies mechanic is a treat! New abilities to help world traversal, the vehicles being so expansive on what you can and can’t do. It’s truly imagination beyond itself, and the way they somehow made hyrule feel fresh (while still being familiar), is astounding. Granted, a LOT of people here complain about the graphics, YES we get it the hardware is not next Gen. But the $70 was NOT for a graphical upgrade, but rather an expanded experience. I’ve only just began and I’m already at like 18 hours, and I’ve yet to scratch a tiny bit of the surface. Beat a dungeon and boss, all that good stuff.

    Point is, BOTW was Nintendo running an experiment, and Tears of the Kingdom was Nintendo being fully confident in what they could produce!    … Expand

    Do NOT listen to the people that say this game is just 70$ DLC. Its is so much more. It brings back that spirit of experimenting from Botw, with so many new mechanics, locations and items.

    The good thing is that, thanks to the limited possibilities, the creators couldn't go crazy and swing for hundreds of game miles. Instead, they created what could be called Elden Ring in a travel pack. [Issue#328]

    The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
