I love this game!!! though i kinda wish that we got a zelda and link romance at the end i hope the dlc tackles that. though there is some problems that i kinda don't like is that when you finish the game you don't really save zelda and just comes back to your earliest save like botw so i am hoping that the dlc frees zelda. The gameplay and the story are also extremely fun and entertaining, and you'll be able to enjoy the game regardless if you're an aged Zelda fan or a newcomer experiencing the saga for the first time. The only real problem this game has is the occasional lagging frame rate which, although it doesn't hinder the gameplay that much and won't occur often, does indeed feel heavy in monster-filled areas. Despite this, the frame rate isn't significantly worse than in Breath of the Wild, and it's not even close to bringing down any of the other merits this game has. Overall, the game is fantastic and definitely worth every penny. Expand

Tears of the Kingdom is the closest we have ever gotten to a perfect game. Instead of rushing to finish a game in 6 months, Nintendo poured their heart into this game over the span of 5 years, and it shows. The entire game is handcrafted, nothing feels like it was just thrown in to make an area feel less empty. The new abilities are phenomenal, especially ultrahand, which allows for near infinite solutions to every puzzle or obstacle you may face. It's also undeniably cool, being able to build cars, death machines, and even mechs. The story, while not as good as some other game's, is well written and a huge step up from Breath of the Wild. Speaking of Breath of the Wild, it took that already near perfect game and improved it 10 fold. TotK has lots of enemy variety, infinite weapons thanks to fuse, great bosses, and improves on pretty much everything else you can think of. The cell shaded graphics are beautiful, and it is amazing that you can fall from the sky all the way down to the depths seamlessly with no loading screens or lag. The world is filled to the brim with things to do. I have 200 hours in the game already and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of the game. Everywhere you go there is something to do or someplace to explore. I often find myself getting sidetracked by things because of how much there is to do. I can be doing something on a sky island and spot something interesting on the surface. Next thing you know, I find a chasm and end up fighting a gloom covered King Gleeok in the depths. Every day I discover tons of new things in the game that I had no idea existed. While I am on the topic of the depths, they are massive. The depths are the same size as Hyrule's surface. Ancient mines, factories, and Yiga Clan hideouts can be found all over the depths, making it really fun to explore. In conclusion, if you want a massive open world game with fun gameplay, great characters, and an engaging story, Tears of the Kingdom is the game for you. Expand

I have about 100 hours in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom so far.
The world, physics, exploration, artistic direction and creativity are all 10 out of 10.
There are only two minor issues with the game but they did not subtract from my enjoyment of the game. The game runs fairly well but often suffers from frame drops due to something like a lot of grass burning, etc. It is not terrible and usually passes with 2-3 seconds or so.
The other issue is that this game effectively retcons the already established Zelda lore and timeline. This is not really surprising because Nintendo does not even seem to have a firm grasp of what the timeline is themselves but oh well.

    Those are the only two minor issues I had with this game. People who are rating this game poorly are usually one of two people;

The first are a hardcore dedicated group of 'old-school' Zelda fans who dislike the way the series has transformed from a Non-Linear story based series into an Open World series. I prefer the old style Zelda games personally, my favourite Zelda games being Windwaker and Twilight Princess, but just because you prefer the old style to the new style does not make the new style bad. They fail to judge it on actual flaws but rather their own personal feelings.

The other group are people who mostly have not played the game and like to hate on something popular, it is fine we have all done it at some point, "how can this be so popular, i don't understand it".

The detractors often cite the nature of this game as a direct sequel being to it's detriment, using the "same map". This is disingenuous. Towns, villages and landmarks are often located in the same place, but entire areas have been revamped as time has moved on from BOTW to TOTK.

For example; Lurelin Village which in the last game was really an uninteresting but quaint village in the Southeastern corner of Hyrule has been attacked by Pirates, this sets of an entire side story unrelated to the main story where you begin by defeating the pirates. After this event is completed other things change in the world, you can find the pirates hidden lair and fight them there, rebuild Lurelin Village and help the refugees return to the village. There is another where you have to help a mayoral candidate win an election in Hateno Village.

This is just one example, there are many examples all throughout the game. But obviously the biggest new additions are the Depths (which has a map size the same size as the overworld), and the Sky which happens above Hyrule. This increases the amount of content in the game essentially three fold.

There are secrets literally everywhere, side stories, side quests. Some of them are boring fetch quests but you can just ignore them, there is not a lack of good, interesting and worthwhile content by any means whatsoever.

    In conclusion, buy game.

Yet, somehow they also pack every region with memorable locations and moments at a scale and quality I've never experienced before. Unlike any other Zelda game I've played, the number of NPCs and side quests is also impressive. This feels like a world full of life and character and activity. They've really managed to up their game on the RPG side of things (which was never a strong point for Zelda games) while still making those elements mostly optional for those that just want to roam. It's clear that the devs were allowed to let their imaginations run wild and what we get from that is a quality-bar to munch on again and again. This might be my favourite Zelda game and it might also be the best game I've every played, though I'm still waiting to see if open world fatigue sets in. Either way, it's a clear 10. Expand

The story was somewhat mixed with or against to old Zelda games, but the storytelling and impacts got improved from BOTW. So I was curious to see the ending before I hit 100% of game. (I am still playing extra contents to meet 100%!) If you want to play a graphic game that requires no brain, this is not for you. It wants you to take your own adventures with whatever tools that you want to use. Guidelines and hints are everywhere by NPCs, but it wants you to think.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. For a 5-6 years development-cycle, using the same engine, same setting and same assets the game is not what it was hyped up to be.
Hyrule is basically the same, the sky is just a bit better than Skyward Sword's (and even so a lot of repeat islands) and the Depths while super cool and atmospheric at first are also a whole lot of nothing new after you've completed the first area.
The story is very derivative from other Zelda titles (mainly Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword kinda); even BotW had a more original premise than this one (Although it's true that Tears of the kingdom has one scene involving the Master Sword that it's pretty epic and beautiful). The open ended design philosophy of this game messes and tramples the story, sometimes you'll do stuff before the NPCs ask you to and while this can be fun for sidequests or unimportant NPCs it's not so when it comes to the main story and it just makes the NPC look silly and you have the feeling that you missed something or were not supposed to have done something.

While I do like the "runes" of Tears of the Kingdom way better than the ones in BotW, Recall is way better than Stasis and super satisfying to use in and out of combat and the ability to create shortcuts at any time with Ascend is impressive and very useful. The crux of TotK lies in Ultrahand/Fuse/Autobuild though, and while I admit building constructs, vehicles and weapons is impressive I don't think it's implemented in the best way:
Having to build something to solve a puzzle or to get to somewhere is great on paper but it becomes a chore when you have to stop your exploring to spend 1 to 5 minutes building the damn thing. The developers knew it was gonna be a problem so they give you Autobuild which let you create predetermined constructs immediately which is truly a godsend... but you will always have to go back to Fuse/Ultrahand somehow.
For silly story reasons now all weapons are lame and do very little damage so you have to fuse them with other objects to make them viable and do more than 10 damage. This is another thing that is cool on paper; you can harvest enemy parts or even use other materials for very cool combinations! However you need to remember weapon breakability is still a thing, so now on top of that you have to dedicate more time to fuse and prepare your new batch of weapons every 30 minutes or so. Yay! more chores!

All in all I will say I understand that accuse this game as "glorified DLC"; while obviously it's not in practice, it is so in essence; it's more of the same and not much has changed. If this would've been released two years after BotW I would've been ok. But 6 years? no.

    Good things:
-NPCs give life to the empty BotW Hyrule which I appreciate.
-The first few hours of gameplay are amazing until you realize how repetitive this game is.
    -Ganondorf has never looked better.
    -Amazing gameplay for crazy gremlins.
-Dungeons are better but not by much. They're thematically different and have a nice boss at the end which seems to be the only criticism from BotW the developers have addressed in this sequel.
-Gleeoks are very cool enemies and I love when they bring back old school Zelda enemies and make them terrifying.
-Speaking of terrifying the floormaster-like enemy is amazing and scary. Loved it.
    -Music is very good.

    Bad Things:
    -Expensive game.
-Story is very derivative of past Zelda games. Same old stuff nothing changed, nothing new.
-Weapon Durability is back baby and is maybe worse. (I get the gameplay loop guys, it's still not a fun gameplay loop)
-Hyrule hasn't changed that much and there A LOT of empty space with nothing to do (not even koroks). Which I get it, only a few years ave passed but I don't know man, the developers chose to set this Zelda in the same Hyrule they could've sent Link back in time instead of Zelda for a fresher experience or god forbid we could've gone to a neighboring kingdom. Choices were made and they were wrong choices.
-Lots of QoL issues that are present in the game like the construct that increases your energy cells being in a completely different place from the construct you buy the energy crystals from, or not being able to cook in bulk still after BotW.
-Lots of reused assets (Including music!). Usually I don't care much about this but only when the developers give us a lot more and this is not the case.
-Not enough new enemy types. I think there are just 10 or so new enemy types. Blins are still the more common enemy which is fine but different biomes don't have unique enemies unless you count the elemental skins or the gibdos in the desert which are fine I guess.
    -They made Sidon straight.

Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK), the new mainline Zelda game from Nintendo, offers a feeling I have not felt in 6ish years since the previous Zelda game, Breath of the Wild (BOTW), came out in 2017. TOTK is a full, expansive, and all encompassing open world game filled to the brim with ingenuity, exploration, and fun.

TOTK is basically BOTW on steroids, the open world we loved exploring before is back for the most part, with additional areas and surprises, with new updates, shrines, caves, wells, and beyond to explore. New abilities offer near unlimited character and creative options to explore, materials and devices can be melded in any way the user sees fit to aid in their exploration and experience in this open and beautiful vision of Hyrule. In addition to an expansive ground level, dark depths and open skies await the player, exponentially increasing the scope and exploration potential to be had.

Everything here is working in unison to guide the player to every wonderful and interactive space that they have created. Quests, main or side, lead you to stables or villages with quirky characters who are in need of aid. These lead you past shrines, caves, chasms, or other engaging landmarks. The only area that feels somewhat played out or empty is the ground level in some areas, likely due to it being roughly the same landmass as it was before in BOTW. Also, many of the new features, wells, caves, etc. are not readily visible on the surface sometimes. Long stretches can be found off the beaten path with seemingly no real direction or appeal.

The story is a good straight forward Zelda tale, the voice acting is excellent and the lore, while shallow, is engaging. I do wish maybe some more care had been put into the distribution and ordering of the main quests. The game really does not want to hamstring the players exploration in any way, but it does come at a cost in story terms. Dragon tear memories can be found throughout Hyrule that give backstory on the area and Zelda's wherabouts. The problem is they are not given in any order, so you could watch the climax of the story before getting to even know the characters. Main quests to find the master sword can be done early on that spoil the dragons tears storyline, characters will be openly discussing how we need to find the master sword while it is sheathed on Link's back.

None of these small issues are enough to detract from the massive accomplishment Nintendo has put out here. Tears of the Kingdom is one of the greatest games of all time, a wonderful and engaging blend of exploration, charm, and creativity.

The core story is good but the character design and dialogue is as bas expected from a Zelda/Nintendo game.

I had fun with combat until 20% of the main story where you can get exponentionally stronger than every enemy in the game with easily accessible resources. Not to mention the questionable design choice of letting you refill as much HP as you have food in your bag.

I want Zelda real dungeon's back, i want the grappling hook, the boomerang, The new mechanics are great but in truth the sanctuaries are too simple, the constructions are quickly redundant, the islands are all the same.

Despite some flashes, I find the game lazy and I am disappointed even if it remains better than the 3/4 of the other games released in recent years.

Ultimately though, I still feel that the structure of the game sucks. Playing the exact same Sage cutscene after every dungeon feels like a slap in the face. When you find memories scattered across the open world, they feel disjointed and didn’t really make me connect to the story that well. The new characters and Ganondorf himself felt underwhelming. The way that they completely ignore the events of Breath of the Wild as if it didn’t happen or happened a long time ago greatly annoyed me. The Depths just feel like a completely pointless addition that is only there as a way to farm Zonite ore to fuel your useless vehicles and not really find anything interesting besides Amiibo cosmetics. You will quickly get bored of exploring the Depths after 5 hours when you realize its mostly pointless with nothing to find. The final boss with Ganondorf is pretty well done, but I find it very ironic that they didn’t even force the player to use Ultrahand or any of the gimmicks to fight him and instead just felt like a standard fight where you spam flurry rush with good timing. Its almost as if the devs realized that they are just pointless gimmicks. You’re not forced to utilize any of your tools like the Hookshot or Light Arrows in previous Zeldas because they don’t exist anymore. As a Zelda fan for 30 years, this game made me depressed and lose a lot of confidence as a fan of this franchise and the gaming industry as a whole. The game sold very well and also reviewed well too. I really question what in the world are they seeing? I expect the developers to utilize the same principles in the next game because of the critical reception which makes me question if I should even stick around as a fan anymore or just quietly move on and say this series is no longer for me Expand

A great game that just falls short of being perfect. If there was any flaw with Breath of the Wild it was the, at times, aimless exploring, so Tears of the Kingdom thought, why not add more of that and gave us more areas to explore, which can be difficult like the sky locations, or a bit tedious like the underground one. Everything else is perfect, including the story, which isn'tA great game that just falls short of being perfect. Everything else is perfect, including the story, which isn't something that can be said about several Zelda games, where the story takes too much of a backseat, and lord knows despite my complaints, I've played the game for over 130 hours so it's not like it's all bad, but it is a bit too much.

The shrine puzzles are actually better than the original, the characters, even legacy ones like Zelda are somehow more interesting arguably than they've ever been, the new music is perfect and blends in well with music from Breath of the Wild so much so that I almost wonder if they weren't used tracks from the original, because my gawd are they amazing, and the new mechanics, while they have a slight learning curve are absolutely fantastic when you clear it, and while there is an occasional lag spike, it happens so little it barely warrants mentioning, but barely isn't nothing so I did, and it is an overall fantastic game. It probably won't be my GOTY, even though it will be for the Switch, but it is absolutely worth the price of admission, and it's the only hiked up priced game that I think I can say that for. If you can play it, play it, it's a wonderful world to get lost in.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Remove the Zelda name from this game and all of the nostalgia would be completely washed away and that is the only reason this game is getting such glowing reviews. Not only did Nintendo screw up the one thing that made BOTW so awesome, but they doubled down on so many things from BOTW that people hated. The storyline is pathetic outside of the first 10 minutes and the extended ending. The "all weapons have decayed" plot device makes exactly zero sense. Most of the sages are absolutely useless outside of specific combat situations, Tulin being the sole exception since he helps you glide better (with a massive recharge time, btw) and his crit shots can be super useful, especially when stunning a Frox for an unexpected easy hit or two. Some people complained about how BOTW was a largely empty world... well, that same thing still applies here, which is ironic considering how this game absolutely BURIES you in quests and pointless busywork to do basic things, like activating towers. Thankfully you don't have to climb them anymore, but I found myself rolling my eyes repeatedly when I'd come across a tower that had a blocked entrance for no good reason and I had to look around yet again for some alternative way in. That got old super fast and made lots of other things feel like a chore to get done. Bad design of one bit seeps into the design choices of other bits and spoils the experience by making it feel like a total slog.

Now... a lot of people complain about the visuals. Although I found a few really problematic areas (like the occasional mesh overlap), I didn't have much issue with how the game looked. Where flowing water turns into a waterfall looks absolutely awful, but that was the only major gripe I had with the visuals. I didn't have high expectations here, given that it's a Switch game, so that part's pretty much fine with me. Didn't like it, didn't hate it. Neutral... and ironically the only thing saving this from an even lower score.

Fusion mechanics... hoo boy. This could have been interesting. You can make some really gnarly swords and some really interesting and useful shields... but since they doubled down on the durability detail that almost everyone hated in BOTW, this got old super fast. This was the one part of the game that could have saved it but nope... epic fail.

Ultrahand is kind of interesting. Building vehicles can be rewarding, and Autobuild has a couple of pretty interesting prebuilt designs. Unfortunately, most of the designs you can find from schema stones or the Yiga are absolutely worthless, and with only 8 slots for custom designs, you will run out of spots quickly. I built a really nice cannon car that made it impossible for regular enemies to do anything about, and it was pretty funny when a Frox just nommed it. Unfortunately, the interface is extremely slow, so even this part of the game suffers from the feeling of a slog.

The economics are completely broken from BOTW. It's much harder to earn rupees, since almost everything has been downgraded in value, and starter clothing is stupid expensive until you do pointless quests... in one case, MULTIPLE pointless quests. Admittedly, finding out that Cece has a carrot addiction is funny, but that's not only an outlier plot point in the sea of extremely lame plot points, but it's also one told so many times in fiction that it just serves to say "hey where have I seen this before?". But anyway, back to economics... even the great fairies are broken in terms of economics... everything has a labor charge now? On top of forcing you do to filler quests? Just drag it out even more, why don't ya... no, just no... just take my 10k rupees and bugger off. BOTW did this part right.

Some people say that the combat is easier, some say it's harder. I say it's about the same. Enemies have new attack patterns, and Nintendo went into their back catalog and pulled old enemies from the past into this game. No one liked the Like Likes though, Nintendo... so bringing them back was dumb. I didn't expect to see Gleeoks return though. Where's the new stuff? Oh, Horriblins... whose name matches their design. Yeah, it's funny the first time to watch them bounce around on their butt, but they don't add much to the gameplay at all. When you first start the game, you are horribly outmatched, as the statistics of the enemies are pumped WAY up. Getting hit once from a regular Bokoblin can get you a Game Over. What nonsense is this? You can be one-hit KO'd from the weakest monster in Ganondorf's army. Terrible balancing issues permeate the entire game. And then we get to the final boss... wow. You thought Calamity Ganon was a pushover? This game's final fight makes Calamity Ganon feel like a legitimate challenge. Terrible, terrible balancing.

I could go on for days about how screwed up this game was and how much they completely drained all of the fun out of BOTW, but there's a character limit here. All in all, this game was an epic fail.

It's Zelda, and maybe has some repetitiveness because of sharing things from BotW. I wouldn't exactly call it "new" - just a continuation.

Truthfully, the only negative for me is that Nintendo should just make a console without gimmicks that is incredible in power. That's all everyone demands from Nintendo at this point.

Breath of the Wild but even better. The abilities were better and so were the puzzles. Would be a 10 but sky islands felt a little bland and depths weren't very enjoyable. Fire Temple sucked ass.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game had potential, and (almost completely) delivered on it.

The story and game play is way more refined than BOTW, and it shows. The dungeons are better (for the most part, which I will expand on) and aren't boring. Almost everything succeeds it's predecessor's.... EXCEPT FOR THE MUSIC!!!!!

When I watched the 3rd trailer, I thought the music would normally be that good! Most of the tracks in this game suck balls, and the dungeons are no exception! Save for colgeras theme, nothing in this game sounds good! And the towns didn't get new music either!!!!!

Jokes aside, the one thing bringing this game down from a 10 is the major lack of bangers. Hopefully the dlc can give me what I desire.

The story is much more interesting than I anticipated. The cutscenes are interesting and worth unlocking. The gameplay felt good. Fusing items allows for interesting weapon combinations and dynamic arrows for ranged fighting. When you get armor upgrades or better weapons, it feels noticeable and rewarding. There is so much to explore and collect that if you want to you can spend 100's of hours doing so. Even if you don't like going after every extra thing, you will be rewarded for the things you do accomplish.

It's not perfect though. For starters, they keep the same quest beats - starter area, then 4 main quest objectives and a few others. It is more fleshed out for some of the main quests but I didn't like how samey certain aspects felt. The sage powers are really poorly implemented. I understand you only have so many buttons but I never used them because they weren't easy to access in combat. The depths is a neat addition but the borders of it can be unintuitive at times. Also I hate that Link is still silent as it makes any voiced scene he is in awkward.

Overall, if you have played and enjoyed Breath of the Wild then you should absolutely give this a shot. If you haven't, I think you can hop into this just fine. Yes, it takes place after BotW but if you know who Link and Zelda are the rest of the small gaps aren't a big deal as they are existing hero and princess respectively. There is a ton to do and explore and this is one of the premiere games you can buy on the Switch.

The game also Feels too similar to BOTW but definitely and improved version or how it should have been.
The Depths are wonderfully designed but soon the amazingness dissapear when you realize they are 95% empty with most of it being optional and filled with fillers. The final battle is very dissapointing, you basically kill ganondorf just shooting arrows to his head and the dragon doesn’t do anything, like most of the game its all about looking pretty and cool but leaving a a shallow experience. overall it’s an entertaining game to play but far away to being a masterpiece like it was ocarina’s majora’s, twilight and even windwaker.

TOTK is a fantastic game carrying on over from BOTW. The game introduces new and amazing mechanics with more enemies and even new places to explore. Sky islands and the Depths really brings out the genre "adventure" that this game holds. What started as a DLC ended up being a wonderful adventure game with a rich story.

Tears of the Kingdom is everything Breath of the Wild needed to be. The beginning is longer, but it feels so rewarding when you finally get past it. The ability to create anything you want is necessary. I do not understand anyone who does not like this game. Easy 10/10, would go 100/10 if I could.

Nintendo made no effort at all to resolve the issues BotW had and even includes other, new, annoyances (good luck find bombs and making money to buy armour required to progress is as trivial as ever).
TotK also relies HEAVILY on Ultrahand. It is what you'll be doing most of the game. The game is essentially centered around this mechanic. This means that after the first few hours of the game you'll grow tired of this mechanic. It is used for nearly EVERYTHING. Nintendo took things that would normally mean just climbing something into 'great, now I need to build yet another thing for the 100th time in the last hour'.
The only thing Nintendo has gotten right is the open world is a lot more interesting and full with things.. Although there still a a great deal of 'open-worldness' with most things in the world being a repetitive task.
All in all this is an expansion pack for Breath of the Wild being charged for more than the base game. NPC's tend to talk A LOT and there is very minimal voice acting so you'll be reading A LOT.. and I mean A LOT! The world is essentially the same with a few added things and amendments which begs the question: "Why are they asking $70 for this?"

Oh, and did I mention that for some reason Nintendo thought it was a good idea for every enemy to one-shot you in the early hours. Literally EVERYTHING one-shots you. A single arrow, a single sword swipe, everything. It's like they tried to make it more like Dark Souls, but Dark Souls is much well thought out with a much better combat system that makes everything feel fair. Not TotK. TotK makes it so you'll be avoiding most enemies for a long while for seemingly no reason.

Don't believe the hype. Most reviews are in the early hours of the game where excitement is high. put a few dozen hours in and you'll find that not only does the game get stale, it gets downright frustrating.

I think TotK is an above-average game, for the record, but I’m judging this more harshly because BotW is one of my all-time favorites. There's a lot of cool new dynamic systems, but they the execution is flawed imo. There's a lot of cool new dynamic systems, but they the execution is flawed imo. Instead of focusing on the negative, I’m going to offer my solution to reworking TotK into, what I think is, the perfect sequel:

    1. Replace the overworld with the depths and add biomes to areas. Make one biome the normal depths with pitch-black zones, one sky islands, the 4 normal biomes (snow, water, etc.), and one jungle. Make each biome fit the new inverted landscape.
    2. Only allow ultra-hand in specific zones, i.e. “workshop zones” where you have to use what’s available. This limits crafting so you can no longer cheese every puzzle/fight every enemy with machines. Also keep blueprints, but only let you build full machines at unique vendor locations (make these rare). This makes it so you must be creative in order to transport your machine if you want to use your new machine in a specific area (maybe let you craft anywhere as an endgame mechanic, so the end feels more rewarding).
    3. Make it so you can craft other player’s blueprints via. asynchronous multiplayer (perhaps these are unique/cheap vendors and these machines can't be taken apart). Let players choose 1 of 2 random blueprints, and if your blueprint is chosen by another player then you earn rep, which can be used in a new shop (perhaps a shop to buy specific weapon buffs, like one to make it so one of your unique weapons is “unbreakable” similar to the master sword).
    4. Remove 75% of monster/dropped parts and only focus on 20 or so fuse items that make your item very unique. I.e. one of them removes friction from your shield and leaves an ice trail. One lets you create a mini-tornado around enemies/etc.
    5. Make puzzles much more challenging/linear, like the lightning temple. All temples pale in comparison to this more “classic Zelda” temple, imo.
    6. Add fully voiced companions that you can interact with during your journey. Let them make observations and help in unique ways/in specific areas. As is, their usefulness in combat is questionable at best, many of them wander around making it a chore to get their attention.
    7. I’m going to botch the name of this ability, but replace the vertical ability in TotK with something like Statis in BotW. Maybe a gloom hammer that lets you charge batteries (temporarily) and build kinetic energy.

    Personal preference/QoL changes:

    8. Just focus on quality, not quantity. It’s fun transporting those korok guys maybe 5 times, then you see the same scenario played out 30+ times throughout the game.
    9. In a similar vein, add the ability to automatically skip forced animations, i.e. the animations at the end of each shrine.
    10. Make shrines more challenging with different crafting parts. Perhaps change the difficulty based on how many crafting parts you get per shrine. Limitation is key in making challenging scenarios & creative solutions.

(Obviously, you'd have to rework the story, but that is pretty doable)

This would be the perfect sequel, imo. Part of my frustration with TotK is it does a lot right, but it’s tantalizing at points because Nintendo gives the player too much all at once. Simply cut down the filler and focus on quality.

Overall though when i completed most of the main story missions and got to the final boss, i could say this was such an amazing gaming experience.

There just was so much to do, to see and to experience. The story this time got me hooked, even for some side quests I found captivating, some times even teared up a bit. I really can't say anything I disliked about this.

I wasn't a big fan of Breath Of The Wild but some of my issues with that game felt perfected here. Once you get far enough to feel strong enough to take on most things and figure out the best way to traverse, my goodness. This just felt so freeing to just get lost in whatever you wanted.

I got goosebumps when i reached the end after sorta seeing everything I been through and got to experience to get that far.

Love love loved it his and felt like it was worth every penny.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has lived up to the high expectations created by the success of Breath of the Wild with its exquisitely intertwined gameplay systems, outstanding music, and a legendary story culminating in a magnificent denouement. It's not every day that such a special video game like this comes around. Truly the stuff of legend.
