    This game is a blast. Mario handles pretty much flawlessly. A lot of the moons are really easy to get but there are enough challenging ones that make the game well-balanced.

    I'm not a fan of Mario nor paltform games but since this game the "Must play" seal of Metacritic I've decided to give it a try.

    First Mario game i've played in my life and didn't like it that much. Only played for 5 hours. I don't see anything special in it. Honestly i think is overhyped because of the nostalgia that revolves around it.

    This game is terrible. They actually removed the funny knuckles easter egg seen in nearly every other samus game. This game has no variety in it whats so ever, like nintendo can you maybe a bit more creative and atleast give mario a magnum. And what even are gushens, so stupid, gushens aren't even real smh smh smh. Mario was at his peak during the picross era and this really shows.

    Mario odyssey is an amazing game. With unique design and creative world layouts, it is a fantastic experience anyone can enjoy. However, some kingdoms, like the lake kingdom, are lacking key features, with its small inclosed design. The majority of other kingdoms, like the lost kingdom, metro kingdom, and bowsers kingdom, are beautifully designed with amazing gameplay. The game is quiteMario odyssey is an amazing game.     the game is good, it has great level design, amazing graphics and a really good gimmick with cappy, the problems are that its to short and easy, it even has an easy mode when the normal one is really easy already, the bosses are really cool tho, the worlds are to small and uninteresting in some cases, the ending is awful and just a disappointing game if we compare it to something like galaxy

I enjoy the games open world feel, the challenge at the finals level of the game, and I do love how you can wear clothes of past references and characters like Waluigi, Luigi, Wario, Abe Diddy Kong. I would have to say this is probably one of the best Mario games in my opinion and was definitely worthThis is an amazing game overall and is certainly one of the classics of the switch.     I have played Mario Odyssey atleast 3 times. So I like this game... BUT! Why are there million moons! And you can buy moons!?!? The kingdoms feel too small and too many MOONS. Overrated/10

    One of the greatest Mario / platform games to ever exist. Hours and hours and HOURS of fun (and maybe some expected hours of frustration) but this is one of the smartest and most thought out games of its kind that I’ve ever played. Can we please get a sequel, Nintendo!?

    When I first got this game on the switch MAN!!!!!! This is one of the most prettiest/most open world Mario game in history and is one of the greatest Mario games on the Nintendo switch and probably the best Mario game better then 64 a bit and better then sunshine and Galaxy and galaxy 2, and the best part of this game is the awesome cutscenes and you choosing your own power moons, and IWhen I first got this game on the switch MAN!!!!!!     Whenever you move as Mario, it feels very natural and fun.From rolling to jumping,it feels awesome. Even when riding a Jaxi or a City Scooter, you are bound to feel comfortable with the controls.
    Overall, the gameplay is good and comfortable. No matter where and what you are doing, you are going to have fun. Never will you feel that because of the bad controls, it lead you to die.     The movement in this game is godlike. I personally prefer less open games, but this is still amazing to me. This is clearly a 10/10 objectively, but I'm reviewing this on personal preferences.

    A magnificent 3D platformer, full of references to older Mario games.
    Graphically it's stunning for a Nintendo game, the musical score carries the whole thing majestically and the controls are neat as we're used to in Mario games, while offering a few new concepts which are refreshing and probably becoming a staple in future Mario games.

There's a fair bit of a padding and a lot of very unmemorable or downright annoying Moons, but at the same time it's very fun and addictive to wonder around one of the kingdoms picking up tonnes of Moons at a time. Very different to previous 3D Marios, and for the most part it works. But less can be more, and would have been in this instance.

    Amazing game. Never before had I had so much fun playing a single player game. Brilliant gameplay, brilliant controls and level design. Great visual style and soundtrack. A very polished game, with a lot of surprises, a lot of variety, and many different game mechanics. But it is also very accessible to a broad audience.

    Un juego extremadamente divertido, sus gráficos y jugabilidad son excelentes, me gustó el apartado sonoro y tiene bastantes recursos y movimientos para utilizar con Mario. A pesar de que la historia general de Super Mario es bien conocida, le dan un gran toque en este juego con su narrativa de los viajes que le permite innovar y reinventarse.

    This game has amazing platforming jumping from trees, over poison, to snowy hills, or just jumping off a building in the Metro Kingdom and it all runs at a smooth stable 60 fps! this game is a must buy for any person that owns a Nintendo switch. however, I can admit the multiplayer isn't great this game is more of a single-player experience.

    When I first played this game when it first came out I was amazed and I still am. The kingdoms are huge and every moon feels fun to get. This is the Mario 64 sequel everyone wanted (not saying sunshine is a bad game tho). I highly recommend this game as either your first switch game, your first Mario game, or even something to play even if you somehow don't own this game it is a 10/10 must have.

    Il Miglior mario 3D insieme al 64. Un ottima esperienza oper world, ricca di lune da collezionare, Regni da esplorare e nuove musiche fantastiche da ricordare. Mario Odissey è il giusto passo avanti per la serie 3D che continua a sorprendermi ogni volta. Ottimo gioco, uno dei miei preferiti su Switch e che probabilmente rigiocherò e completerò ancora in futuro!

No tiene online, cosa que podrían haber añadido para que fuese más novedoso. La cámara es un poco mala. Los mundos son un poco pequeños, podrían ser más grandes. No me arrepiento de la compra pero este juegoEs demasiado fácil, no he perdido casi ninguna vez, los jefes finales son demasiado fáciles.     Gameplay is the best in the 3D Mario Series. Has all the moves from 64 and sunshine and more. Cappy is an amazing partner as well as tool to access areas, capturing enemies and using them is addicting and never gets old. The world design is also the best in the Mario series with challenges and lovely sights to see and explore and do parkour.

    I really don't understand why people are rating this game so highly. I swear this game feels like it was made for toddlers. Heck, even my cat can play this game. No skill is required at all. If you want a trophy for every single thing you do in life then this game is for you!

    An absolute great game and amazing addition to the Mario collection, the only problem I would have with it is that it feels quite short. However the worlds still have a lot to offer and look amazing and have new mechanics for almost every world.

    This is my personal favorite Mario game ever. The way Mario controls in this game it tuned to perfection and the levels go perfectly with Marios movement to have platforming perfection. Cappy may be the best thing Mario has ever had making platforming super fun and replayible. And the soundtrack is also a highlight for being full of life and energy.

    I am giving this a 9/10, before beating the game, this is nearly a perfect game, cappy is a joy to use and overall a blast to play.     Respecto a las mecánicas del juego, como siempre gran cantidad de saltos e interacción con el entorno. Como novedad, la inclusión de Cappy (el sombrero) para añadir una variedad única en la saga al set de movimientos.

    El apartado gráfico es sensacional, parece mentira que lo mueva una consola de estas características. Corre a una resolución de 900p 60 fps en modo dock y 720p 60 fps en modo portátil. Priorizando la tasa de frames, puesto que en un juego de plataformas es muy importante.

    Duración: la historia principal es cortita, entre 8 y 12 horas. Pero conseguir el 100% del juego es un reto que nos puede llevar entre 70 y 100 horas. Es bastante exigente.

    Banda sonora: sensacional como siempre.

    Dificultad: la historia es sencilla, pero conseguir el 100% del juego (todas las monedas y las 999 lunas) es todo un desafío.

    Una joya totalmente recomendable, exclusivo imprescindible.

    The definitve Mario videogame experience. The way Mario controls in this game is perfect, I never felt a character move so responsive and smooth . Also his moveset is amazing wich helps in the more difficult platform sections. I felt the game very short but that doesn't make it any bad.

    An almost perfect game, with really small and imperceptible defects. The kingdoms are (almost) all very creative and fun to explore, and the capture mechanic is reeeally fun. I can't give this game less then 9,8

    I do not understand the general consensus of SMO. The game is more of a tour than a game. Deaths range from trivial to beneficial. It has some of the least replay value in any 3D Mario. The controls are unintuitive and not fun to use. Rarely do transformations benefit you.     Super Mario Odyssey never fails to run out of ideas. All locations (also known as 'kingdoms') are as pleasing to look at as they are unique to each other. Every kingdom contains countless learning curves, keeping the world fresh even for completionists, such as myself. The moons force people to get creative, whether it is by jumping off cars to get on top of a building or speeding throughSuper Mario Odyssey never fails to run out of ideas. Odyssey's boss battles truly test what you have learned in that kingdom making them incredibly satisfying to defeat. Every boss battle gradually gets more difficult at such a pace it's not overwhelmingly hard, not too easy, but just fun! Whenever you think the game can't get any better, guess what, IT DOES! With all this praise it still has some issues. Some moons are incredibly tedious, the motion controls are not very responsive, checkpoints are very far apart, and the multiplayer is very underwhelming.     It is a really decent and fun game with lots to do. The thing that trew me off was the level design and bosses. Only bowser feels like a real mario boss the rest is just made up weird stuff that doesnt belong in the game. Secrets are wel hidden en i really enjoyed the rest of the game.

    This game is a great experience all the way to the end. The kingdoms you visit throughout your journey are unique. I couldn't give it a 10 because the bosses lack originality and platforming challenges often feel lackluster compared to previous Mario entries like the Galaxy series and 3d world.

    This is pretty awesome. The world themes are almost all very creative, the graphics are sharp, the music is solid, new donk kingdom is incredible. Nothing but a switch must buy in every way. Whether you like platformers or not, give it a try

    Surprisingly cap-tivating game. Not being a huge Mario fan, I've started playing Odyssey without high expectations and ended up being blown away by it. It's a fantastic game with just the right amount of exploration without being pushed into it too much, variety of great worlds with splendid designs and great game design perks.

    Its a enjoyable game,
    You will spend some good hours to colect all the moons. there are some puzzles on the game that are very enjoyfull and some features like the transition to 2D and 3D to get some moons are wonderfull.
    The only thing i can point as an Con is the fact that if you learn how to combo the use of hat and jump the game becames easly to pass, and it loss some of its bright.

No words can express how much fun I had playing this game, I love this game, I love Mario, this game won my heart and will always will be my favorite game of all time. Sure 64 was nostalgic and all but it's not as huge as odyssey, and mario controls so much better than how he did in 64. Sunshine doesnt even stand a chance against Odyssey (still a pretty great game tho). And Galaxy is almost a competition with its beautiful orchestra like battlerock galaxy, gusty garden galaxy and the title screen, beautiful visuals like seeing Mario soaring through space, amazing background, and the cinematic. But Odyssey has almost all of Mario's movesets, open-world levels, great music, great graphics and visuals, and Pauline. Super Mario Odyssey is my all time favorite game it's the ultimate mario game with its controls, mechanics, settings, music, and graphics for a Nintendo switch game. I'm not good at writing reviews but my love for Mario just shows how much he influenced me or something. 10/10 Best Game Ever.… Expand

    One of the best mario games out there, and honestly, one of the best game-games out there. The amount of collectibles and moons is ridiculous, and there's so many challenges you can give yourself that give the game so much replay value.

Honeylune ridge is an exception, but that’s because they had already done space extremely well and the remix of star chance fits extremely well. The collectibles are also lackluster. The purple coins are basically where normal coins would be in a different 3D Mario but they are better than the power moons. Power moons replace stars in this game ambit are something entirely different instead of a star that is the focus of the levels the power moon are a collectible that are at best at the end of a plat forming Challenge or after a boss fight, but at worst a chore that are under the ground or just around a corner the worst of these are the dog and nut stars which just require waiting and are tedious. Moons are just not satisfying to collect cause the only reward is more moons. Stars in other Mario games are satisfying to collect because their challenging and their is buildup to the stars. Moons in odyssey are where one ups would be in in other 3D Mario. Idk Mario odyssey just doesn’t have the same magic its much more joyful and lacks the depth of the other 3D Mario’s while before they had characters like rosalina who had an optional story and it was sad. Mario galaxy had a sadness to it that makes Mario odyssey look like an illumination film. The kingdoms are also not that memorable and really short in the main run through of the game each kingdom feels insanely short if you get only the required amount of moons, but getting more that the required amount of moons is tedious and feels like looking through a wasteland of a kingdom to find a random moon on a ledge. A lot of the moons are very similar making the game feel the same throughout. It is also painfully easy speedrunning the game is fun becuase the movenment is fun not because the game is fun. While other 3D Mario’s are about platforming challenges odyssey feels like a trek that goes nowhere and is barely satisfying my urge to do challenging things which are not to be found in odyssey. I understand if you like the game, but for me it was good but not greater other like other 3D Mario’s except sunshine and 3D land.… Expand

    The game could be better, with 120 well designed Stars... the moon is not bad... but should be a second intem not the first...    … Expand

    While it was difficult to imagine how Nintendo could top previous 3D Mario adventures, Super Mario Odyssey is nigh-on perfect in almost every way. With the help of Cappy, Mario has never been as fun to control, reaching new heights and, in the hands of a skilled player, accomplishing impossible skips. You need only pick up a controller to see why this is the best modern Mario game ever.

    The best entry to the best platforming series is so ridiculously huge it’s like a theme park made of theme parks. It’s a wonderful tribute to Super Mario 64, but it’s not a lazy homage. Super Mario Odyssey draws inspiration from the superb classic to top it and everything that came after it. [13/2017, p.38]
