    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What a desaster of a game! The developers are basically pulling the whole franchise through the dirt with this.

    Short story, which is not really a story. It's what each one of us experienced in Kindergarten: Char A is hurting Char B, then helping this Char B, Char A then is betrayed by this Char B and then Char A fears everyone else is mad. THAT's it!

    Apart from the main story missions, you can do missions to make your companions stronger - which technically are only the 3 so why bother and build up Ventures in the city's districts, which also have 7-10 Missions to complete.

    Mission "design" is overly simple: Drive there, mostly fetch something - get rid of thugs, drive there to deposit. - Wrapped in a Tsunami of bugs. - Done.

    Those developers should go back to a game design class if they ever took one.    … Expand

    I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve played all of the Saints Row games. I was late to the party, and Saints Row 4 was my entry Into the series, however my favourite game is Saints Row The Third.

    I bought the game at launch to show my support, and I hoped to be pleased - especially with all the bad press the game has been getting. I just finished the game this evening, and I have been    I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve played all of the Saints Row games. I was late to the party, and Saints Row 4 was my entry Into the series, however my favourite game is Saints Row The Third.

    I bought the game at launch to show my support, and I hoped to be pleased - especially with all the bad press the game has been getting. I just finished the game this evening, and I have been very happy with my play through.

    Yes, the gameplay may seem dated, and it’s a very formulaic Saints Row game. There is no real surprises in terms of gameplay. If you’ve played a Saints Row game, you know what to expect. Missions might be repetitive, but no more so than any other game in the series.

    There’s definitely a wide variety of activities, and plenty of secrets to discover throughout the world. I had fun taking over districts, and discovering hidden things around the map.

    I enjoyed the banter between the main cast, and thought that the story worked well enough for a Saints Row titles. Yes, these are the characters that we got to know in love in the previous titles, but I definitely don’t have any issue with this group. The jokes didn’t all land, but I was definitely amused by things that happened throughout the story. I did have a few bugs pop up here and there, but nothing major. Mainly just vehicles bouncing into the air after hitting small objects, and a weird issue with the camera inside helicopters. The second issue was easily fixed with a reload.

    Overall, I had a blast driving around the city, blowing things up, and being social with my crew. The game may not be for everyone, but make your own judgment - don’t listen to everything you hear.    … Expand

    After playing the game for a while and finished the story and still playing it it's still has few issues but this update made the game much better and people don't understand and you have to look thr older saints raw games like 1,2,3 and 3 remastered and this one was the best by far despite the issues but PEOPLE They HAVE A HIGH STANDARD FOR ANY GAMES AND you got to stop thinking this way

    I’ve managed to get through most of the story, so I feel comfortable writing a review. The developers stated when they revealed that they were going for a mix between Saints Row 2/The Third, and I think they’ve managed to hit the nail on the head beautifully with this reboot. The tone is not quite as over-the-top ridiculous and wacky as The Third/IV were (though I loved them dearly forI’ve managed to get through most of the story, so I feel comfortable writing a review. The developers stated when they revealed that they were going for a mix between Saints Row 2/The Third, and I think they’ve managed to hit the nail on the head beautifully with this reboot. The tone is not quite as over-the-top ridiculous and wacky as The Third/IV were (though I loved them dearly for it), but doesn’t take itself quite as seriously as 2. This makes your time in Santo Illeso so addictive enjoyable whether you’re tearing through the story to get more time with the lovable cast of new Saints and other supporting characters, or just roaming the city looking for some trouble to get into. And there’s no shortage of things to get up to. Activities make their return in the form of “Criminal Ventures,” including old favorites (like my personal fav Insurance Fraud!) and some new ones, and give you plenty of ways to increase your influence and revenue stream. Additionally there are plenty of ambient activities, such as Hidden Histories, which gives the player a chance to learn more about Santo Illeso’s in-game history as well as pick up a few Easter eggs along the way ;).

    I haven’t run into any of the technical difficulties others are talking about, but I also haven’t been trying co-op or anything like that. Hopefully it’ll get patched up and into a playable state for everyone soon. The driving is okay—some of the vehicles don’t handle that great and there isn’t an off-roading option for everything (which as someone who mainly drives motorcycles, not a huge fan of). The wingsuiting controls are not very intuitive or smooth once you do get the hang of them. Minor nitpicks on an otherwise great game that’s been a lot of fun so far.    … Expand

The shooting mechanics are just absolutely some of the worst in video game history. The driving feels so cheap.     2- Personajes horteras, hipster, cutres, modernitos.
    3- Historia y diálogo muy olvidables, irrelevante (mi hija de 5 años se monta películas mucho mejores).
    4- Mecánicas de juego del 2015.
    5- Bugs y glichs POR TODOS LADOS.
    6- Corrección política por todos lados.
    7- Propaganda política.
    En definitiva esto es el primer (y espero que sea el último) Saints Row que es un ANTI SAINTS ROW.

    Pleasing the critics was their main goal, and even they hate it, and it shows because the game is boring, buggy, and it has an empty world. The combat has not evolved since the previous entry and the rival gangs have 00 depth.

    I came around to the idea of the reboot. I accepted that we was never going to go back to the Saints Row we all knew and loved. I decided let’s give the devs a chance to do something new. Even still is was disappointed….. Story: Where to start with this abomination. Cringy characters and dialogue are the biggest pain when playing through the story. At points your sat in confusion and agony with what the characters are waffling on about. The humour is for “woke” people, the missions are repetitive and you can tell little imagination has gone into them. The story is a little short and key parts are brushed over. It feels like it was rushed. I can’t excuse the writing of this game. It shows how out of touch and boring these devs are.

    Gameplay: Eeek! From health bars everywhere you look to AI glitches this is probably the worst open world gameplay you will see. Laws of physics do not exist in this world. You can blow a car up by sneezing. AI are stupid and broken most of the time. The wing suits feel odd and out of place. Overall it feels like a chore to play. The map: The setting of the map is actually pretty cool. Graphics are fine and art style is nice. Overall the map is one of the biggest positives about the whole game. However, there are some key problems that need to be talked about. First of all the streets are so empty. It’s like hardly anyone lives in the city or they are just hermits. Also, some buildings that look like you should be able to go into, you CAN’T. They had something good going with the map but just fell short with a few details. Customisation: Lots of interesting character, car and weapon customisation! You can create some really funny character designs. Lots of options are of course a good thing and this is probably the only thing in the game they sort of got right. In conclusion:
    I don’t want to be mean to the devs but oh my I have to be. They had so much time to make this game even delaying it but they still couldn’t refine it. They ignored the core fan base and their wishes. The devs are obviously more interested in pandering to wokeness and diversity than actually making a game that is a success. They let their own agendas and idealogical beliefs dictate their games. It’s such a disappointment reality but there’s nothing we can do. I’d advice against buying this game at full price. :(    … Expand

Люди не понимают что такое перезапуск, игра стала лучше по графике - и мне понравилось, появилось больше деталей и физики - не понравилось, сюжет стал лучше - не понравилось.     I spent almost 40+ hours in this game, the story is good, the missions are insanely cool, I love them.
    The environment in this game is beautiful, it's like walking through an art museum. The graphics here are great, the stunning sunsets and sunrises are just breathtaking. The music is good, I like how they mixed old and new styles, even if I don't really like the new style. The characters    I spent almost 40+ hours in this game, the story is good, the missions are insanely cool, I love them.

    Don’t understand the hate. Sure.. maybe they didn’t reinvent the wheel but the game is a lot of fun and I’ve been enjoying it. Worth it in my opinion. Haven’t had any issues with too many bugs plus patches will address that in time. Great game though. Definitely recommend

Is that it has dinar vibes to Saints Row II and The Third before it got really silly. I still played IV and Gat Out of He'll but they weren't that good overall, so I for one am glad to see they've reverted back to driving being more necessary than just jumping really high and essentially flying.

    I'd give this an 8.5/10 but marking as 10 because people giving it between 0-3 on purpose is a disgrace. Even games I strongly dislike I would always rate fairly.    … Expand

    Yeah there are some bugs at launch but the past few years almost every game has had bugs on launch. Other then the bugs this game is pretty good and fun to play, reminds me of the SR3 days but more starting to build up your empire rather then being thrown into the leader roll

    Out of all the games i played, cyberpunk, fallout 76, no mans sky day 1, i just had to create a metacritic account to give this a solid 0 stars. I have played all the saints row games. Loved SR2. But this is by far worse experience in gaming i had to date. Wish i could refund this

    15 hours of play time. I’ve really enjoyed the characters, story, and setting overall. Have had a few small bugs but none too problematic!

    Can say if you enjoy the Saints Row series gameplay you’ll enjoy this. More of what you already loved.

    Dated, repetitive and very boring. Feels like a game that came out in 2011. Also has one of the worst endings in any game I have played in along time. There is no ending build up it just like the writers decided they ran out of time or can't pace a game. Do not recommend it at all

    This is a reboot there is NONE of the older characters, no buying businesses, and the talent tree how they've done it is terrible. And when you upgrade your weapons they do not change in appearance at all.     Saints row has always been the wacky alternative to GTA. This game continues that trend. After the initial linear start of the game, you are off to start your criminal empire. This is where the fun begins. There is no shortage of activities to enjoy. Not without its bugs but plenty to do and a beautiful map to explore.

    While it has its bugs what game doesn't have any these days and while they shouldn't release in the state that are in remember it's the publishers and share holders who rush releases not the developers. Saints row has its old charm of wit and serious moments from customisation from cars to character and weapons it's hard to find something to add to your character.     This game has received a lot of criticism in this first week, and I can see where a lot of it comes from. I got one have really enjoyed it! The customization is great, the world doesn’t feel soulless to me, and humor is completely subjective but I enjoyed it all! I recommend giving it a shot and keeping an open mind.

    The positive reviews for this game (I have nothing agaist people enjoying any game) mostly say don't listen to the hate, it's fun but don't say why it's fun and do not discredit the legit hate.

    Gameplay - inconsistent camera and aiming controls, buggy, poor physics (not even in agood way).
    Story and humor made me sick in my mouth.
    An insult to SR1 and 2.

I forced myself to get past the first part and once I was in the open world, it became horribly intolerable to play with several bugs and glitches, NPCs aren't as interactive as previous Saints Row games, the game feels very stripped down of what made it fun in the first place. No cheats (although could be patched in).

    I think it‘s the best game i‘ve ever played. I know it has some bugs, but i never had as much fun with a game as i have with Saints Row :) so Thank you! It doesn’t deserve those bad reviews at all. They are all wrong because they haven’t even played it. But seriously, it‘s so good!

    The Characters are amazingly written. The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. The world is beautiful and    I think it‘s the best game i‘ve ever played. I know it has some bugs, but i never had as much fun with a game as i have with Saints Row :) so Thank you! It doesn’t deserve those bad reviews at all. They are all wrong because they haven’t even played it. But seriously, it‘s so good!

    So far I’m enjoying the hell out of this game. There are some bugs here and there but over all a solid experience. Co op is fun, glad the saves transfer over too. Definitely recommend for a fun over the top open world action adventure game.

You were better when you actually were trying to compete with other open world criminal style games. Now we have a bunch of weird, quirky, unrelatable hoofs with their lame quips and 1 liners blowing stuff up. It has no soul at all. It's sad to see that sharp decline of Saints Row after SR2, but I guess this is what you get when some fans and "critics" praised the garbage that was 3, 4, and the Gat out of Hell… Expand

    Let me start this by saying I have loved SR since the first game came out and have played each on release. This game is as good as SR3. Also, I have absolutely ZERO tolerance for woke garbage and that just doesn't exist in this game.eveey single person reviewing this game and saying its "woke" haven't actually played the game at all.     Very fun. No deep story, or revolutionary gameplay, just pure chaotic fun.

    This game is essentially Saints Row 3, with a little more polish and visual upgrade.

    I've seen many reports of game breaking bugs, but I've personally not encountered any, but your mileage may vary.

    If you loved Saints Row 3, you'll love this - just don't expect anything different.

    I couldn't really get into the story. It feels out of place for a saints row game. A group of college kids needing money to pay rent and pay off student loans. The way they act doesn't feel like they belong in a gang. They don't even seem like the type of people who would go out robbing banks and killing people.

    Then on top of that, the developers bash people who criticize their game. Any company who blames their customers instead of themselves, or at least acknowledge the backlash and try to make it right, is an instant no go for me. I refunded this game. I may pick it up later when it's on sale, has it's dlcs, and bugs worked out.    … Expand

    A lot more fun than I expected. While the map isn't the biggest in the franchise, there is plenty to do and explore. I was concerned that this would lose the "charm" of the earlier entries but that Saints Row DNA is still there. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to using a tow line to turn enemy cars into wrecking ball behind my ride.

    Really disappointed with this game. I've been a fan since the original Saints Row and purchased this game blind thinking it would at least be at the quality of previous game. Honestly, it's embarrassing. I'm annoyed that I wasted $60 on this. Graphics are bad, gameplay sucks, story is boring, and not a single interesting character. I wish I could get a refund.

    Take out 99% of what made the previous few Saints Row games great and this is what you're left with. Overpriced boredom incarnate. Also, if you plan on streaming this and use the "avoid copyrighted music" feature, get ready for a lot of silence. It just turns off all the music stations leaving you with nothing.
