    As someone who plays saints row for the first time in my life I have to say i did now like it very much. I wanted to start the series but then i heard about the reboot so I decided to wait. I count not have made a biggest mistake. The humor is dull and kind of woke it is like amy schumer wrote all the jokes. Of course it had some good jokes in all of the campain but it was not worth it.As someone who plays saints row for the first time in my life I have to say i did now like it very much. I wanted to start the series but then i heard about the reboot so I decided to wait. I count not have made a biggest mistake. The humor is dull and kind of woke it is like amy schumer wrote all the jokes. Of course it had some good jokes in all of the campain but it was not worth it. The shooting and combat is absolutely terrible. The driving is just ok. The world is dull. Also a lot of mechanics feel like they are the worst version of other games for example driving is like mafia 3. On the plus side the graphics are not the best but are quite good, there are not any microtransactions and i have encountered almost not bugs.

    I absolutely love this game. I had to giggle more than once with the crazy stuff going on and it's a great game. I love it more than GTAV, I honestly don't understand the negative reviews, they must be playing another game? I love this game.

    This game is so bad that I didn't even wanted to pirate it, so I played it over at my friend's house, he feels bad spending money on this hot garbage, anyway. The gameplay is trash, the gunplay is trash, the story... Jesus christ who even thought this was a good idea, bug and glitches that can softlock you during missions, censorship etc. etc. There are just too many things to list. IThis game is so bad that I didn't even wanted to pirate it, so I played it over at my friend's house, he feels bad spending money on this hot garbage, anyway. Anyway, it makes me sad to see what became of Volition and I think this is the last nail to the Saints Row coffin. It was a good ride with the first 3 games, especially 1 and 2.     Worst Saints Row to date - And 4 was hard to beat on that account! The game has no soul. It is incredible borring and the characters is so irrelevant. I actually don't mind a few bugs, if the game I plays is good and interesting, but this isn't. It is many years since I was so disappointed with a new game. The game franchise is ruined.

In addition, the game is buggy without end, maybe not necessarily on cyberpunk 2077 level but disproportionately much.     To preface, I've beaten this game. I've 100%ed the map. I've experienced every mission and activity there is to do in this game, so keep that in mind.

    This game is worth a 7/10, but I'm giving it a 10 to counterbalance all the 0-1 reviews this game doesn't deserve. This game isn't bad.     This game is worth a 7/10, but I'm giving it a 10 to counterbalance all the 0-1 reviews this game doesn't deserve.

    This game isn't bad. It's a competently designed but clumsily put-together Gen-Z Power Fantasy. The main thing this reboot does for the franchise is that it takes the story beats from the first 2 games and re-contextualizes them in a Millenial lens. When people complain that this game "wokified" the series, that's what they're talking about. When they're talking about "censorship," 4 things happened. The **** bats are gone, RimJobs and **** were renamed to JimRob's and FB's, and there are no prostitutes. If funny sex and hookers were what Saints Row was to you, then this game isn't for you.

    But that starts to be one of this game's problems, in a marketing sense. The Volition devs spent so much time away from the scene, just to more or less alienate their Hard-R Gamer audience by leaning left for its target audience. This is a necessary calculated risk for any modern AA studio, but in keeping everything else exactly the same they haven't really brought much to compensate for this loss. And that's why this game gets such a bad rep: the only unique thing they have to bring is the most controversial one.

    If you want to hear an actual review about this game, go watch Yahtzee's take on Zero Punctuation; he talks about how this game technically does so many things right but fails to deliver an engaging experience because it's so outdated and derivative to itself. If you're done with that, here are more things to say:

    The game is competently designed. When I say that, I mean the people who laid this game out on the drawing board knew how to design video games. The cutscene cinematography is good. The game systems are laid out well. The graphics are outdated, but the artstyle is fine, and next-gen graphics are severely overrated. The main characters are basically likeable. The writing works. The humor is fine. (I've played Borderlands 3, I know what bad humor and writing in a game looks like, and this isn't it. One key difference being that this game doesn't force you to sit there and listen to people talk before the game lets you play. All the cutscenes are skippable and the dialogue happens during active gameplay, so none of it is intrusive.)

    The issue comes with how all these designs are put together. The programming is embarrassing; I've run into so many obnoxious bugs in my playthrough every day. Clothes and weapons will randomly equip and unequip themselves. Sometimes cars will get stuck on nothing and explode. Sometimes no cars will load in at all. Combat just doesn't work as well as it should at all times. The in-game animations are boring and simplistic. Many side objectives are blatant padding. All of it is sure signs of a game that needed more time and better management, which is likely a luxury the studio just didn't have.

    In conclusion, this game isn't great. But it's playable, and it kills time well. I'd much rather have dealt with this game's **** than any live-service, online-only, subscription-model, you-don't-own-anything ass **** that every other company is pushing into the industry. This game has a kind of simple purity that comes from being from an older and, in my opinion, better time.

    A refreshing return to the glory days of open world gangster games like GTA San Andreas and saints row 1. The characters are likable and funny but certainly more dry and subtle than older games. I'm about 15/ 20 hours in and while there are a few bugs nothing game breaking or even too distracting. I have found plenty to do and enough difference between activities to break up any monogamy.A refreshing return to the glory days of open world gangster games like GTA San Andreas and saints row 1. We all expect the next big thing, something to make our money go even further as times are tight. It’s one of those rare games where I was hooked until there was little content left. Yes, I skipped the collectibles, I’m not a masochist. This. Is. Not. GTA. Saints Row never has been, and never will be. Saints Row is the movie you put on when all your mates come over just because it’s fun to sit, watch, and have a good time with. There is humour here. There is also a ton of irony, which, to be fair, I believe a lot of people mistook as ‘woke’ism. The story isn’t half bad (not that anyone should be here for the story!), and the gameplay loop is a ton of fun. There’s a lot to enjoy here. If you want an epic all out blockbuster affair then you came to the wrong place, and that’s your fault. If you want fun with a ton to do. This is your game. To the devs. Great job. I really, really hope you know that there are plenty of us out there that truly appreciate this game.… Expand

The vehicle selection is the best in the series. The developers added a big lake in the middle of the city, just to make the city even grander. This game is incredibly funny, I could barely even control my laughter while playing! The controls are also biblical

    Coming from a long time fan, I love being able to customize my own character. But as long as they've had to make and release this game. I can't image how buggy it and broken it is. The story is boring and the characters are forgettable. The gameplay feels dated, and aiming is terrible.

There's not nearly enough customization options in the game. While I miss the old cast, that's not what's ruined this game for me. The overall lackluster and unfinished feel of the game are what ruin it for me.

    The game feels clunky at times and just rushed, there's clipping, and character pop in issues, other times my character is stuck in t-pose position. I really wanted to like this game. But it doesent do any justice to the franchise and I wish it could be written off as a bad ending to saints row 4's zinyak world ending disaster. And just have the original saints come in and murder the whole cast and start over from there. And why is there still no multi-player, sr1 and 2 had some of the best multi-player, modes and matches around. I wish they would fix this franchise before it too late.    … Expand

I personally think this franchise peaked at SR2, and while I enjoyed SR3 & SR4 it was the beginning of the end for Saints Row. Abandoning the tone of SR2 which balanced over the top gameplay with a gritty story, in favor the extreme over the top nature of the future games was a huge mistake. Now theMan this one was of my favorite game franchises, I've played every game in the series. The physics are ridiculous at best, the KI is horribly unpredictably stupid.     If i d do such a **** job at my workplace I d be fired instantly and I m not blaming the people actually coding the game. I know this is due to the greediness of the higher-ups but still.....I actually created a metacritic acc just for this one review, not expecting to anyone actually care about what I have to say but I d like to think its still better then keeping quiet on this matter, that is torturing the gaming-community for a very long time now.     The story writing is very Pedestrian it doesn't draw you in and get you attached to the characters. I had more fun playing saints row IV
    It felt like the other side of saints row 4 very lacking of fun and Intrigue . Like they just flip the coin and went to the other extreme. Lots of bugs freezing when I am customizing missing my car. Camera angles getting screwy.

Turns out being able to aim down sights and access your weapon-wheel are pretty essential for bombastic comedy violence. Once I got that sorted out, it was a mostly fun time. There's just something zen about throwing yourself in front of traffic after using a mobile meth-lab as a wrecking ball in the Nevada desert. I'll be honest, I skipped almost every cutscene. The less you pay attention to the writing, the more fun you'll have. My Boss was a posh British lady and I thought she was pretty great, but the rest of the Saints were all garbage. The enemies fared a bit better, but they're just less fun versions of the SR3 gangs. t's better than Agents of Mayhem, I guess...right? Probably not, actually, but I DID finish SR22 and quit AOM in about 3 hours. Wait for a couple stability patches and a sale.… Expand

    This game is not great. Feels like a PS2 playstyle with decent graphics and design. To introduce this game with the platform capabilites of the PS5 is an insult. Then to charge $70.00 for it is ridiculous. I don't give my opinion often, but this game is trash. I won't be playing a game from this developer again. It would be a waste of my time, and more importantly money.

I was held back on trophy progress due to a bug that will no longer track most of my challenges. The game is littered with little bugs that are in no breaking the game but there are a few that may stagger progress. For example, losing access to inputs on the controller.

    A few weird design choices as well: first venture can be completed immediately after meeting a character but you will not get the full hourly pay increase(even though the game tells you that you have unlocked it) until after completing the story quest that unlocks ventures......

    The story was mediocre at best, but I enjoyed it enough to complete it. The characters were a bit eh and I probably wouldn't care for them at all without the very few character story side missions.

    Gameplay is repetitive, the aiming feels weird and recoil is extreme. Driving is OK but very bare bones. Explosions and over the top weapons are fun though.

    All in all it's an OK game at best and I probably won't jump back into it even after bug fixes are released.

    Let's start off with we were told this would be a reboot not a watered down game. The story was very boring with no real substance. It feels like pieces of the game were just thrown together. This is especially aggravating after the release was pushed back "in order to polish things up". The writing is lazy all around. I personally didn't experience any laughs during the entire story. It's easy to tell this game was broken down into groups.

    You get the point here nothing was fine tuned. I know all you super intense game enthusiast are running with the " New games come with bugs" debate. I'm just not going for it man it's been announced pushed back and still sucks.

    Character bashing time:

    Eli is a nerd that enjoys larping and listening to pep talks by pyramid scheme public speakers. Other than that he's a full on waste of space. He doesn't show up with any helpful advice when you're battling you opposition. He doesn't hack anything he just gives a sh*tty outline of a business.

    I can care less that Kev doesn't wear a shirt he was an idol of you pay attention to character design a few of his former gang members sport a shirtless look. It's the fact that he's a chef that doesn't poison any of his enemies with any clever one liners. All we know is that he's an orphan who didn't get a toy when he was younger. Also that he's a douchey dj that has played on the sexual spectrum lame.

    Finally my least favorite member of the ain't's

    Neenah is supposed to be the epitome of a wheel woman there in a flash. Even in the ending cutscene of the tutorial you see her save your a** with her driving skills. Only one problem in 99% of the game she doesn't F**king drive! In the mission that revolves around saving her project car you have to drive her around. Her character actually had potential but it was wasted.

    The Gangs have no cutscenes or backstory which is rare for this series. Did they get scrapped?

    Los Panteros have cool muscle cars and a fearless leader named Sergio. Outside of that who are they though why did they form. How did Sergio become the leader what is the history behind that.

    The Idols have the best design to me even though they are kind of copy & paste of the Deckers. The Collective make one appearance in a cutscene but none of their faces are ever exposed. So it really feels like a flash in the pan.

    Marshall is a copy & paste of STAG from SR3 there is no denying it. The VTOL gave that away in the intro. They are somehow able to operate in a more effective way than the cops in this game. The police feel non existent compared to Marshall. Still no back story and it seems as if you can get a final showdown with Atticus if you choose not to shoot him. Doesn't matter to me because I don't have the patience to play through again.

    No options to replay cutscenes, missions, or cheat codes either this game needs another title

    The bugs and repetitive side missions would have been excusable if the main storyline was worth while. When the church is found it's done with no real moment of purpose. When your character looks up at the wall and says "The Saints" everyone else is just like sure. Talk of student loans, and 401k's was just cringe. You play video games and indulge in other forms of entertainment media to escape real life issues just for a few hours. Not to be reminded about them so you can go "oh man tHiS GaMe SurE iS RelaTaBle hyuck!".

    I don't make video games so I would like to say good job to the team at volition for getting the game out. Unfortunately the people who wrote and reviewed the final story really need to have their work double checked.

    This game was more a** than strip club on a Friday night in Atlanta Georgia with two donkey's guarding the door.

    Crashes and glitches. Assuming these issues are fixed a rating of 6 is more appropriate. An entertaining romp that is to tame to live up to what is expected out of a Saints Row game, mired with inconvenient mapping and a world that never feel full enough to justify it's space, keep this game from being more than a momentary diversion.

    Only a bug or two throughout the entire playthrough so either I'm really lucky or others are exaggerating. The characters were likeable, good customization options for you boss and ride, big city and different environments. I feel like the side quests could have offered a bit more variety or story but some were a lot of fun. If you liked SR4 then I think you'll probably like this one too.

And then it came out. Instead of a story of characters growing into gang leaders and undergoing development, what we were given was a horrible joke of a Saints Row game. It was as if the very heart and soul of the series had been ripped out from it, leaving behind the basic barebones shell of what a Saints Row game could be, instead opting to fill in the rest with some Millennial caricatures that do not change or grow at all over the course of the game and repeatedly made me pause the game to sigh over the absolutely abhorrent writing. The missions are lackluster, the dialogue is absolutely laughable, the radio selection is just downright bad (are you kidding me? No 80's music?) and the removal of staple gameplay features that had been in the series since the first game is just a shame.

    I wanted this game to succeed so badly. I wanted Volition to show that the Saints were still able to be just as wacky and serious when need be. They told us this would be a mixture of Saints Row 2 and The Third, my two personal favorites in the series, but instead they sold us an incomplete mess devoid of any creativity and magic that made those games what they were. Santo Ileso is a beautifully crafted place, I adore it and wish that they had done so much more than what we were given. Because as it stands, we have a big sandbox with tons of customization, but what's the point of all of that if we're just given TWENTY FIVE main missions. A laughable 25 missions, none of which have any of the spectacle or depth or gravity that ANY of the missions in any of the past Saints Row games have had.

    Saints Row 2022 just goes to show that the games we loved are nothing more than a means to an end in today's landscape. I worry for the future of games.    … Expand

It has laid a foundation for a great new series of Saints. I would give this game a 9 if the annoying bugs are fixed. Which will be anytime soon. Some of the bad reviews are just people upset that it's new people

    I personally enjoy this game. Its not what saints row used to be don't get me wrong but if you separate it from the rest of the franchise, which is what they have tried to do (not very well). It is a very good game.

    I haven't run into any glitches that people keep mentioning/bringkng up.

    Overall I'm enjoying my time with it.

    This has been an excellent game. Its a decent size map to explore with tons of collectibles discoveries and all sorts of different little things you can do you simply have to comb the desert.

    Way better than what people are giving it credit for. Had a blast playing it with mi or hiccups from bugs along the way but overall still a really solid and fun game

    This game is buggy as hell. The story isn’t even intriguing. It doesn’t even feel like Saints Row but a cheap knock-off that lacks imagination, ingenuity, and talent. Speechless. Mad I preordered it, would love a refund and my time back.

    First off, I love SR 3 and 4 with it's over the top gameplay and cast. I wanted to love the new Saints Row, but sadly its just average. It has the essence of SR3/4 without the heart! Gone are the wonderful Saints row crew you loved from the previous games, replaced with generic annoying and seemingly purposely diverse characters that no one seems to like. The game still has nudity andFirst off, I love SR 3 and 4 with it's over the top gameplay and cast. I wanted to love the new Saints Row, but sadly its just average. I have to admit the first story quest I thought was kind of cringe but as I played through the game I started to fall in love with the characters and with the open world.     Если во второй части концепт был крут, в третей миссия с самолетом (я до сих пор помню как рубился целыми днями). В 4 части, симуляция, борьба с пришельцами и общий веселый мир (я даже со стула помню упал потому что какая-то шутка меня взорвала), то тут ничего нет. Персонаж бегает по миру первые пару часов без какого-либо обоснования. А в сумме с теми проблемами которые есть включая малый размер карты. Сложность игры тоже смешная, на нормале в меня пулемет на машине стреляет и мне все равно.

    Я бы поставил 3 или 10 балов если бы это была Sains row, но от Sans row тут только некоторые отсылки и фишки

    Convinced that the positive reviews are from Volition employees. This is yet another unpolished bugfest of a game that needed more time in development. The fact we can’t get 4k60 on ps5 is plain embarassing, and don’t even get me started on the pop in. The story was bare bones, too short and the characters were nothing in comparison to the old games.

Mi valoración es positiva ya que el juego te entretiene y se disfruta incluso con amigo.     The new characters didn't bother me, the new story didn't bother me, even the same gameplay of "shoot a bunch of dudes over and over again" because it was really hard to melee in here. I even forgave that. BUT THE BUGS I CAN NOT FORGIVE. This game is unplayable. When I have to worry about doing a mission and the game soft locking, losing all my progress that is one thing I can not stand! This game needed way more time in the oven. And since I can't even return it because epic games said it's beyond 2 hours. I spent most of that time just trying to start and restart the game because there's a BUG that makes it hard to even OPEN the game. I'm so disappointed and brokenhearted over this. This is worse than no man's sky when it first came out, worse than cyberpunk 2077.

    I'm done, I'm never buying another saints row game again. The game died long ago and this reboot is nothing but a zombie version of it, trying to be one of the cool kids.

    What makes matters worse is that I honestly don't think Saints Row can come back from this. The devs pissed off and insulted old fans, maybe it's time to finally let this game die.    … Expand

    If you notice on the map there are three roads that lead outside the map, most likely you will travel to certain "new" locations to end the gangs actual hide out. My reasoning for this is at end of certain missions they will call you and say "Call me when you want to take out (said gang)" but you never have that option. Overall, this was probably meant to be in the game at launch, but they focused on other things just to pass it off as DLC. Story is lacking, hopefully this will fix things. speaking on that, this isn't confirmed and an opinion. but with the bugs and lack of content other than the customization, can you tell me this is an actual game? Saints Row wasn't known for customization until SR3 it was known for the story. We hit the peak in this series back for SR2. Please do not buy the game, if you feel you need to, go replay Saints row 1 (2006) and Saints Row 2.    … Expand

    One of the worst running games I have ever seen.

    The world is completely dead, empty and lifeless with no interiors no realism just completely lifeless Worst gun play I have ever witnessed it doesn’t even feel like the bullets are connecting. Doesn’t feel satisfying again feels like shooting in an iOS game.

    Some of the worst driving again I have ever experienced overly stiff heavy driving. You can’t even turn a corner with a decent angle. Now to the story, which is absolutely terrible and woke without forgiveness because gangsters really go larping Don’t they. and then to rub salt in the wounds. After about 10 missions. The whole game is over there is no building of the story you literally do 10 or so missions, and then the end credits roll. Hands down by far the worst game I have ever played in my entire life doesn’t even score 1 out of 10 I highly advise against playing this game.
