You play as The Boss and get to decide who you want to be, while building your very own criminal empire. Along the way you must take on three brutal enemy factions who currently control Santo Ileso: Los Panteros are the muscle and the power, The Idols are motivated by fame and notoriety, and Marshall Defense Technologies are a private military conglomerate.     Despite innovating in small ways, Saints Row is a safe open-world game. While that's perfectly fine for those looking for another sandbox adventure to sink time into, its quaintness feels antithetical to the series' wacky reputation. Saints Row is known for being loud, bombastic, and unconventional. So why am I mostly stuck doing tedious action and open-world checklist objectives? Volition wanted to get in touch with the series' roots, but after you've jumped the shark so many times and the industry has moved on, this reserved approach makes Saints Row feel like an antiquity.

    A lot of fun! Don’t understand the gripes other than some bugs. Graphics are great and gameplay is fun. Hover board ftw

    On the Xbox store it's at 4 out of 5 with 750 people rating it.
    Sure helps when you can't rate it without owning it.

The game is still plagued with bugs and horrible physics that often go against the design of certain missions and side activities, the story and progression are in equal measure boring and repetitive, the general gameplay is dull, outdated and janky, the characters are flat out unlikeable and the humor is mostly unfunny and cringe. The customization and driving I suppose are two things about it that is okay. But if this is what future entries will continue to be like, please just let this be the last nail in the coffin. Saints Row is among the weakest reboots out there. Oh yeah, the graphics look like if Fortnite puked up all over on GTA too.… Expand
