    Awesome game and has me hooked in one of those "just one more quest" kind of ways. The production values are there. Performance on PC can use a good patch or two to fix some of the framerate drops but it mostly runs smoothly. Don't beleive the controversy, the game is not transphobic or anti-semitic, anyone who tells you this is just pushing an agenda and clearly reaching.

    The only reason I give a 9 out of 10 is that some of the movement mechanics are lacking/awkward. Other than that it's one of the most beautiful game I have ever played!

    Hogwarts legacy is an incredibly fun and immersive game that transports you to the magical world of Hogwarts! Can only recommend trying it out for sure!

    I have started to play this game yesterday. This game is awesome. I am not a Harry Poter fan but man the atmosphere in this game is beautiful. definitely a 9/10 for me so far

    JK Rowling has truly created an exceptionally magical immersive world, and the makers of this game have fully realised it. i have found myself checking out every inch of hogwarts and hogsmeade, there is so much attention to detail in this game, you will not want to turn it off. really hope there will be an expansion...hopefully quidditch! and a sequel. my only gripe is the camera angle,JK Rowling has truly created an exceptionally magical immersive world, and the makers of this game have fully realised it. i have found myself checking out every inch of hogwarts and hogsmeade, there is so much attention to detail in this game, you will not want to turn it off. really hope there will be an expansion...hopefully quidditch! and a sequel. my only gripe is the camera angle, not really liking the offset to the left of the character wish you could make it central and be able to zoom the camera out just a bit. and as i have been playing and i can't help but notice how much more diverse things were over 100 years ago....its er....really immersive… Expand

    I wasn't thinking of buying this game. But, because of the woke people trying to cancel the game, I bought it and now I am thankful. The game is awesome. I know it's to soon, but I think it will be the best game of 2023, or at least will be in the Top 3.

    Hogwarts Legacy is an amazing achievement that surpassed my expectations. The world is huge and stunning. Nothing more to say, 10/10 gaming experience.

    I really enjoyed this game but there were a few things that I really didn't like, I've listed them below
    1. The Loading Icon on Doors, because It being a AAA title it should have fast loading times.
    2. Weird Character Facial Expressions, I've noticed that During Cutscenes and normal conversations the facial expressions of most of the characters in the game aren't natural and they feel a    I really enjoyed this game but there were a few things that I really didn't like, I've listed them below
    1. The Loading Icon on Doors, because It being a AAA title it should have fast loading times.
    2. Weird Character Facial Expressions, I've noticed that During Cutscenes and normal conversations the facial expressions of most of the characters in the game aren't natural and they feel a bit weird.
    3. Slow Pacing, During the initial quests the pacing of the game is terrible, It takes a few hours just for you to get your broom and experience the open world.
    4.The cutscenes have sloppy transitions, Seemless Transitions would've been so great like in other games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, AC Valhalla, GoW Ragnarok etc.
    Other than these minor issues I really enjoyed this game as it represents the Harry Potter Universe so magnificently.
    The main story was absolutely amazing and the side quests were just as fun as the main quests. The open world was amazing as well there were countless times where I would just go explore.
    The character customization was very good as well, I
    initially I was a bit skeptical about the combat but I really liked the combat the spell selection was also very nice.

    The visuals are stunning and the gameplay is challenging. I'd recommend this one for anyone even slightly into gaming and fantasy themes. Being a fan of the potterverse is not at all necessary to have a great time.

    I have have been playing it sense the 7th. Hours in and still tons of wonder in the word of Hogwarts. I look forward to exploring. As far as the controversy. Everyone crying about Hogwarts are over grown children that have fabricated a controversy to try and hurt JK. The problem is JK is a raging leftist herself, and supports the LGBT community. But there has been a lot of problems with men and young boy identifying as a girl or woman. Who have attracted women in a venerable state in bathrooms alone. You can try and deny it but it is dangerous. On top of dealing with someone who's mental reality is destroyed, we have to just shut up, and expect it as far as the trans community is concerned. Simply JK doesn't agree with this. She thinks it's would be appropriate for them to have there own bathrooms. She still supports the trans community. Truthfully i don't or at least not anymore. Now that the LGBT community has decided well now your kids are mine to influence. I could care less what happens to any of them. Maybe the trans community and those that supported them should have quit while they barley got ahead.… Expand

    This brings me back to the good old days of RPGs. This fills the void if you have ever wanted to experience a being the Wizard/Witch fantasy. What better source material then the Wizarding World. Strong contender for GOTY. Don't let any of the social complaints detract from what Avalanche has created here.

    This game is amazing. The detail is incredible, and walking about the castle is a delight. Flying on a broom, the Room of Requirement, casting spells, solving puzzles, there is just so much to love about this game!

    This game is pure magic. I cannot explain the emotion I’ve felt when I first played it. From getting sorted into my house to the detailed and amazing world of Hogwarts to the gameplay, everything in this game is beautifully crafted. I cannot fault anything in this game. It’s a shame there are people who hate this game. I pity them and feel sorry for them. They are seriously patheticThis game is pure magic.     Comments: about 8 hours in and absolutely LOVING this game. Intro is great. Happy to say haven't felt limited or bored by anything yet! I'm impressed! So much attention to detail went into this game and it really shows.

    1. I haven't finished the game yet to give a full review.
    2. I witness small texture issues/bugs every now and then.

    Otherwise, this game has my full attention!

    As a casual enjoyer to the Harry Potter series, I appreciate the game is NOT set during Harry Potter's time. With the main character of the world not taking the spotlight, I feel like I can enjoy what the wizarding world has to offer to some not so familiar. The story immediately caught my attention and instigated my curiosity, the combat is fluid and is surprisingly complex, and the world is vast and I am eager to explore.

    Big appreciation for how WB handled the field guide. I don't feel weighed down by the number of collectables in-game and many of them I would say are actually really fun to engage with. Like using accio to collect flying books/pages or the moth painting puzzle(which is one of my favorites)

    The only thing I can say I'm missing is Quidditch, but I am grateful that the development team was upfront about it not appearing rather than lying to me. Maybe they will make my wish come true with Quidditch DLC! I do hope so.

    Now if you are hesitant about getting this game, whether it's because of doubts or the political situation this game is being dragged into, all I have to say is that you should give it a chance. The game has been a wonderful experience for me so far and i have found that this game feels comfortably inclusive, It doesn't feel forced or uncomfortable, and I hope that whoever plays it gets to enjoy it as much as I do.    … Expand

    Fantastic feeling and visual efects.i played hours and still want some more of that world. I feel like on drugs. And after I tried I need more... Another mystery another puzzle. Not the hard one but still making my brain work some more than usual.

    Great game! Finally a decent Harry Potter universe game. Worth every cent.

    Is has some minor bugs, completely common in realeases of open world games. Once fixed, it's just perfect.

    The thing I'm happies about is the game is complete not even a day one patch to fix a bunch of broken issue. But it is missing some thing that would make it even better. The current flight controls are a little odd it should just be one stick to move, and one to look around. A favorite for the invantory system would also be nice as you have to keep changing it up.

    Story is amazing, and the combat is so smooth and fun. It’s amazing to mess around with all the different spells and potions. I recommend this to gamers of all types, truly one of the games of all time.

    I am not an HP fan myself but I find this game to be more than that. From solving puzzles to battling orcs and dark wizards, or just completing the story and traversing the openworld aspect gives you a sense of accomplishment that is quite remarkable for a wizarding world game. Live your dream and be wizard! Sucks there's no quidditch but quid it!

    I'm not a fan of the saga, but this game has made me want to read more about hogwarts, in terms of mechanics, I love being able to execute combos, hopefully in the future I can choose more spells to perform multiple combos, like in a game hahaha fights.

    It's not a perfect game, but to every fan of Harry Potter it's a dream come true, a vast open-world, an interesting story, gorgeous graphics, good and fun characters, and an incredibly fun combat system, it doesn't do many things new, but it's a great game and i personally loved it.

    That’s a really good game about Garry Potter universe, interesting main history, some of side quests are boring but this fine, can be excused. I’v meet a couple bugs (not critical). Fight system it’s something amazing, i think too much, how developers make the fight system of this universe, i find this question so important and difficult.

    Childhood dreams come true. Exploring the castle on its own could be a whole game. The combat is addicting, exploration is rewarding. The story is engaging, the characters are interesting. The graphics are beautiful and the score is magical. It is truly everything I could’ve ever wanted in this game.

I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan but I can just feel the effort and passion that went into making this game in every corner I explore and it really motivates me to discover more :) I'm hoping the devs add multiplayer.     If you even remotely like Harry Potter this game is a 10/10. It will transport you to that magical world in a way that no other game has done before. All of the bland, underwhelming, hyper-linear years of playing as Harry, and only Harry (followed by a brief and fun stint with Quidditch World Cup on PS2), feel as though they pale in comparison to what we have today. Players are able to freely walk about Hogwarts, decide their own speed and agenda, and fully take in every weird, interesting (and interactive) part of the environment they can find... I wasted entirely too much time watching a shrub prune itself. If you grew up a fan of the books or movies, if you found yourself wanting better for yourself after years of PS2 and GameCube Harry Potter games, if you enjoy well designed environments with enough to keep you busy for a long while, Hogwarts Legacy is a must grab. One gripe... There is a minor loading hitch when entering large rooms through a door. Couple dropped frames. It's fairly seamless on PS5 if not for this. I imagine the PS4 would absolutely hate running this game but a decent PC... Xbox Series... PS5. Go for it.… Expand

    What an incredible achievement for Avalanche Software’s first AAA RPG. i thoroughly enjoyed my 50+ hours with the game. Can’t wait for the inevitable sequel.

    One of the first games in years that has kept me coming back every single day. 55 hours in and not even done with the main story. I plan to play through it at least once in each house. Game of the year hands down, so far.

    Hogwarts Legacy provides an expansive world of magic and mystery. With a main story that is both whimsical and gritty, and over a hundred side quests, there are countless reasons to ply out an enchanting life in the game. Occasional graphical issues are noticeable but overall negligible to the abundant sense of wonder. Hogwarts Legacy is a spellbinding and enchanting experience not to be missed.

    An amazing escape into the magical world we've always wanted. Good humour, the battles are fun and engaging, and all the small details immerses the player and makes you feel at home in Hogwarts. I definite recommendation.

    - The room of requirement was not required very much for me. The animals were an interesting idea but did not feel fleshed out enough. It seems like an awful long winded route to get feathers and other consumable ingredients from them when any other game would just have you pick these up in the wild. It would be different if the animals themselves gave you some form of skill/perk/upgrade/buff rather than a feather or hair to use to upgrade your gear.
    -The gear numbers etc meant nothing to me I just kept changing to the highest numbered gear and felt no difference throughout the game.


    The story I found myself skipping a lot of cutscenes. As much as I love harry potter, the story didn't cut it for me and found it a bit convoluted. Firstly focusing on goblins and you instantly know who the final boss will be but then it goes off on tangents and you start following another main story and you think oh ok where is this going and then its like they forgot the goblins were there and had to rush then back in at the end. The gameplay is the main draw for me. The combat feels fresh for the first half of the game but doesn't add much else towards the end. The world is well crafted with a lot of interesting places to explore and recognise, many areas are created to look like the films while many others have new original takes on them. I can't say they're an improvement, especially the areas with the classical music playing, I find them pretty annoying because it never ends.

    I wish there were more side quests and with hints to lore rather than some of the mundane ones we got.
    I wish there was more to do other than the story and side quests. I think quidditch is the obvious answer but of course we are getting a separate game for that so it's like we can't expect an open world Harry Potter game to include quidditch anymore.

    The story is compelling! The combat/spell casting is really good! the aesthetics is mesmerizing! The game takes you on a rollercoaster of an immersive experience from start to finish. Hopefully we'll see a DLC in the near future.

Hogwarts legacy is a Masterpiece of a game!!! And a must have game in any gamers library of games. I've now starting to watch the Harry Potter movies and I'm impressed!!! The graphics have great design and detail, though there could stand to be some technical improvements. The main plot and sidequests, while not perfect, is serviceable.     Learning curve is hard in the beginning. Decided to play it on “easy”. Ray tracing ambiant occlusion isn’t quite what it should be and there’s still a lot of mesh pop up. It’s more a magic school simulator than a full RPG. It’s still worth your time!

Almost all the gameplay mechanics are well done. That being said so many things regarding gameplay feel like a one or two generation old open world game.     I played this game as someone who didn't really take interest in the Harry Potter franchise, and I was originally concerned whether I could still enjoy this game. However, to my surprise I enjoyed this game very much.

    There’s so much to love about this game. The castle, the grounds and hamlets, the score, the combat, the deep respect for the lore… I could go on and on. The Wizarding World game I have waited for since I was old enough to want something, I am so excited to see what else can be done within this universe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Despite the overabundant open-world elements such as the Merlin Trials and the treasure vaults, the rest of the world is breathtaking. It's so nice to see an open-world game with a UK countryside setting.

    A dream come true for the fans of J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. So prepare your wands, put on your wizard robe and start exploring this incredibly magical world of Hogwarts which is an amazing homage to Harry Potter universe which set the bar so high, that not even Levioso could put other games on the same level.

    This game is incredible, they really nailed the feeling of being a student in Hogwarts. The combat is very fun it's different than I expected and takes some getting use to. Story has been really good so far, the main thing that keeps pulling me back though is this world it's so magical with so many cool puzzles and things to find.

    Amazing Game. Immersive world, with great graphics, and exciting mechanics. It would be sure 10 if they would spend some more time on the development to add Quidditch games + PC optimization because now you need some .ini edition to play comfortably in 1440p on RTX 3070. Generally, lousy optimization is the only weak spot of the PC version. For PS5 I would for sure give max points.

That's how you know it did a good job when it can convince someone otherwise and enjoy it. That's what Red Dead Redemption did for me as I never liked westerns.     The world itself is the best part in my mind. This truly feels like next gen game to me one of the few. The load times are about 4 sec to travel anywhere and the SSD instant loading is great. Yes, there are few moments of loading when opening sections of Hogwarts but not enough to take you out of the moment. When you first get to Hogwarts and see how large this place is with the great lighting, it looks amazing. However, once you leave and see the world outside, first trip to Hogsmead, it's great just looking around and taking it in. There's truly a sense of wonder and magic everywhere.

    Combat is pretty solid. I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting much. It's not perfect by any means but gets the job done. The parrying, ancient magic and different spells make for interesting mix. I find myself hitting the wrong spells a lot as you can only assign 4 groups of 4 and have to switch through and also targeting can be wonky. I'm also playing on hard and it's relatively easy but enough challenge too. Overall satisfying.

    Story and characters are generally pretty likable. I'm only half way through but so far it's interesting and all players I have met are likable. There's not much to say in this department as no spoilers are necessary here.

    Soundtrack Is also great. This gets overlooked a lot in some off the reviews I've read. It really helps add to the immersion. Places have their own themes and it fits really well. Sometimes it feels like Tim Burton movie with Danny Elfman behind the musical wheel. Definitely helps add to the immersion.

    So this has been an unexpected hit for myself overall. What really make the game overall is the world and immersion. There's a sense of wonder and magic around every corner. It's great just exploring and getting a feel for this land. Sure combat can be pretty good and story is decent but that's what makes this game is this incredible world that's taking advantage of the new consoles. On a technical level I think it runs great on balanced mode. There's a few hiccups occasional but nothing that takes you out of the immersion. and to address the other complaint i hear other than technicalities, the bare open world with nothing in it? I've read this complaint and i can assure you there is lots to do and discover. Many of the same tasks and puzzles but it's still fun exploring around. All the negativity and bad reviews is in regards this BS transphobia. I swear people are getting dumb and dumber by the day but if buying a video game labels me a transphobic, then I sure as F*** am transphobic by that logic. I'd recommend this game to anyone.    … Expand

    Hogwarts Legacy has a great character design and could have had a great story too but the story is not so strong. the gameplay feels great and exploration is so entertaining. visually its great and Hogwarts castle is so detailed.

    It's been a decade since we've had a full Potterverse game, but the wait has been well worth it. Hogwarts Legacy gets just about everything right, with its involving storyline and myriad of main and side quests. Perhaps its finest feature though is Hogwarts itself, providing as much joy in just exploring the halls as performing set tasks. We doubt a single Harry Potter fan will be disappointed. We certainly weren't.
